Abstract
A pickleball racket is provided with cloth or leather and includes a body composed of a base material layer and two panels. The panels are respectively superimposed on both surfaces of the base material layer. An outer peripheral surface of the body is wrapped with a plastic strip as an edge. The body includes a racket body and a handle integrally connected to the racket body. An outer surface of each panel is covered with cloth or leather as a frameless edge. The frameless edge can be wrapped with the leather or the cloth. The cloth or the leather is located on an outer surface of the racket body. By covering the outer surfaces of the two panels with the cloth or the leather, the cloth or the leather is located on the outer surface of the racket body.
Description
- The invention relates rackets and more particularly to a pickleball racket with cloth or leather.
- Pickleball is a game of hitting balls with a racket. It originated from Benbridge Island in Seattle, USA. It would be most appropriate to say that it is a sport integrating tennis, badminton, and table tennis. It was invented by two people. The name “Pickleball” came from a dog belonging to one of the inventors; when the game was first invented, the dog named Pickle often ran with the ball in its mouth.
- The racket used to hit pickleball is called a pickleball racket. The main structure of the present pickleball racket includes a body. The body is composed of a base material layer and two panels. The two panels are superimposed on both surfaces of the base material layer. The body includes a racket body and a handle integrally connected with the racket body. In the prior art, the two panels are usually fiberglass panels or carbon fiber panels. The two panels are directly exposed, and the pickleball may directly collide with the panels, causing very loud noise. In addition, the product is not aesthetically pleasing, not comfortable, and doesn't feel good to the touch. Therefore, it is desirable to improve the present pickleball racket.
- In order to address the disadvantages in the prior art, the main objective of the invention is to provide a pickleball racket with cloth or leather, which can effectively solve the problems that the present pickleball racket is causing high noise, not aesthetically pleasing, not comfortable, and doesn't feel good to the touch.
- In order to realize the objective, the invention adopts the following technical solutions.
- The invention provides a pickleball racket with cloth or leather, comprising a body composed of a base material layer and two panels. The two panels are respectively superimposed on both surfaces of the base material layer. An outer peripheral surface of the body is wrapped with a plastic strip as an edge. The body includes a racket body and a handle integrally connected with the racket body. An outer surface of each of the two panels is covered with cloth or leather. The cloth or the leather is located on an outer surface of the racket body.
- Preferably, the cloth or the leather is bonded and fixed on the outer surface of each of the two panels through glue.
- Preferably, a pattern layer is printed on the cloth or the leather.
- Preferably, the base material layer is made of a cellular material.
- Preferably, each of the two panel is a fiberglass panel or a carbon fiber panel.
- Compared with the prior art, the pickleball racket with the cloth or the leather specifically has obvious advantages and beneficial effects from the above technical solutions.
- The outer surfaces of the two panels are covered with the cloth or the leather as a frameless edge. The edge can also be wrapped with the leather or the cloth. The cloth or the leather is located on the outer surface of the racket body to prevent a pickleball from directly colliding with the panels, effectively reducing noise and achieving the noise reduction effect. Meanwhile, the product is more aesthetically pleasing and more comfortable, looks more upscale, and feels better to the touch.
- The above and other objects, features and advantages of the invention will become apparent from the following detailed description taken with the accompanying drawings.
-
FIG. 1 is a front view illustrating a preferred embodiment of the invention; and -
FIG. 2 is a sectional view taken along line 2-2 ofFIG. 1 illustrating the preferred embodiment of the invention. -
FIGS. 1 to 2 illustrate a specific structure of a preferred embodiment of the invention, including abody 10. - The
body 10 is composed of abase material layer 101 and twopanels 102. The twopanels 102 are respectively superimposed on both surfaces of thebase material layer 101. An outer peripheral surface of thebody 10 is wrapped with aplastic strip 103 as an edge. In this embodiment, thebase material layer 101 is made of a cellular material. Each of the twopanels 102 is a fiberglass panel or a carbon fiber panel. - The
body 10 includes aracket body 11 and ahandle 12 integrally connected with theracket body 11. An outer surface of each of the twopanels 102 is covered with cloth orleather 13. The cloth or theleather 13 is located on an outer surface of theracket body 11, so that the racket feels good to the touch, has better elasticity, and looks more upscale, and it also achieves a noise reduction function and better comfort. In this embodiment, the cloth or theleather 13 is bonded and fixed on the outer surface of each of the twopanels 102 throughglue 14, thereby making the product simple in structure and convenient for production and assembly. Moreover, apattern layer 15 is printed on the cloth or theleather 13, making the product more aesthetically pleasing. - The manufacturing process of this embodiment is described in detail as follows.
- The
base material layer 101 and the twopanels 102 are prepared. The twopanels 102 are bonded and fixed on the two surfaces of thebase material layer 101. After bonding and fixing, the cloth or theleather 13 is bonded on the outer surface of each of the twopanels 102 with theglue 14, so that various patterns can be directly printed on the cloth or theleather 13 to form thepattern layer 15. Finally, the edge is formed by wrapping with theplastic strip 103, thereby increasing the hardness of the product. - The design of the invention focuses on that the outer surface of each of the two panels is covered with the cloth or the leather as a frameless edge, which can also be wrapped with the leather or the cloth. The cloth or leather is located on the outer surface of the racket body to prevent the pickleball from directly colliding with the panels, thereby effectively reducing noise, and achieving the noise reduction effect. Meanwhile, the product is more aesthetically pleasing and more comfortable, looks more upscale, and feels better to the touch.
- The technical principles of the invention are described by means of specific embodiments. These descriptions are only for explaining the principles of the invention, and should not be construed as limiting the scope of the invention in any way. Based on the explanations here, those skilled in the art can think of other specific embodiments of the invention without any creative effort, and these methods will all fall within the scope of protection of the invention.
- While the invention has been described in terms of preferred embodiments, those skilled in the art will recognize that the invention can be practiced with modifications within the spirit and scope of the appended claims.
