Abstract
The utility model relates to furniture items and can be used as a writing table or a computer desk. The technical result of the claimed utility model is the creation of an option for working at a computer desk in various positions depending on the shape of the desk top. To achieve said technical result, a computer desk is proposed having a desk top and at least two supports, wherein the desk top is configured in the form of a horizontally oriented plate with an ergonomic recess in a side part, characterized in that the recess is provided with a cover.
Description
- The invention relates to pieces of furniture and can be used as a writing or computer desk.
- The prior art discloses a desk (link to the source of information:

- The disadvantage of this technical solution is an anatomically inconvenient shape of the desk top which negatively affects the human musculoskeletal system due to the forced seating posture for a long period of time.
- As a prototype, let's consider a computer desk, design patent RU109895 published on 25 Jul. 2018, characterized by the composition of structural elements: two side supports, one rear support and a desk top mounted on them; execution of the desk top in the form of a horizontally oriented quadrangular plate; execution of the front edge of the desk top with a trapezoidal cut-out; execution of the desk top with beveled corners; presence of two round cut-outs at the back edge of the desk top; execution of side supports with trapezoidal cut-outs at the top and bottom edges and triangular cut-outs at the right and left edges; execution of the back support with trapezoidal cut-outs at the top and bottom edges and triangular cut-outs at the right and left edges.
- The disadvantage of the prototype is that despite the presence of an ergonomic trapezoidal cut-out in the front edge of the desk top, not every user may find it comfortable to sit at such a desk. Also, in some cases, this cut-out may cause inconvenience.
- The technical task of the claimed invention is to eliminate the above drawbacks.
- The technical result of the claimed invention is to allow the user to choose the body posture when working at the desk.
- To achieve the said technical result, a computer desk is proposed having a desk top and at least two supports, wherein the desk top is configured in the form of a horizontally oriented plate with an ergonomic cut-out in the lateral part, characterized in that the cut-out is equipped with a plug.
- The essence of the invention is illustrated by the figures.
-
FIG. 1 shows an exploded view of the computer desk with supports in the form of vertically oriented plates, -
FIG. 2 shows an assembled view of the computer desk with supports in the form of vertically oriented quadrangular plates, -
FIG. 3 shows an assembled view of the computer desk with supports in the form of legs, -
FIG. 4 shows an assembled view of the computer desk with a plug, which partially covers the cut-out, wherein -
-
- 1—a desk top;
- 2—a support in the form of vertically oriented plates;
- 3—a plug;
- 4—a support in the form of a leg.
- The computer desk comprises a desk top and at least two supports. The supports can be made in the form of any supports used in a similar manner. The desk top is made as a horizontally oriented quadrangular plate with an ergonomic cut-out in the lateral part on the side at which the user sits. The plug for the cut-out can be shaped to match the shape of the cut-out in the desk top, and can be attached to the desk top with fasteners. The plug can also be made in such a way so as it covers half of the cut-out in the desk top, and the other half of it remains free (semi-plug). The cut-out in the lateral part of the desk top and the plug can be made in a trapezoidal shape. The cut-out in the desk top and the plug can be made in a trapezoidal shape.
- The computer desk is used as follows: a person sits at the desk on the side of the cut-out, with his torso located inside this cut-out and his elbows at the sides of his body on the protruding part of the desk top, which allows to maintain posture while sitting at the desk and which is healthy to the musculoskeletal system of the person, because there is no negative load on the body. If necessary, the cut-out can be covered with a plug or semi-plug, which is attached to the desk top with fasteners.
- Example 1: A person sits at the computer desk on the side of the cut-out. The cut-out is 20 cm deep, the torso of the person is located inside the cut-out and his elbows are at the sides of his body on the protruding part of the desk top, which allows to maintain posture while sitting at the desk and which is healthy to the musculoskeletal system of the person, because there is no negative load on the body. The user covers the cut-out with the plug that is 20 cm deep or a semi-plug that is 10 cm deep, depending on the individual characteristics of the user. The plug is attached to the desk top with fasteners.
- The claimed set of features will ensure the achievement of the claimed technical result as follows: the presence of the plug for the cut-out in the desk top provides for an opportunity to use the computer desk in different ways, depending on human needs.
- Technical solutions that coincide with the set of essential features of the claimed invention have not been identified, which allows to conclude that the claimed invention complies with the novelty condition of the patentability.
