Description
- The present invention relates to the field of umbrellas and more particularly pertains to a lighting umbrella.
- Umbrella is a daily necessity when people go out, and is mainly used for sun shading and keeping out the rain. Umbrellas in the prior art are relatively unitary in terms of functionality without other auxiliary functions, and can no longer meet consumers' daily needs. As existing umbrellas do not have lighting function, when holding an umbrella and walking in a relatively dim environment with insufficient light (such as at night), the visibility is poor and the position of the umbrella user is not obvious, which may easily cause accidents.
- In view of the above, some researchers provide lighting umbrellas with lighting function. However, the lighting device on existing lighting umbrellas is generally arranged on the umbrella handle, so that the light emitted by the lighting device is easily interfered by the user's hand; besides, the lighting device is far away from the ground, so that the lighting device can only illuminate a small area on the ground. It is difficult for the user to check road conditions, and it is not convenient for people to see things under the umbrella. Furthermore, the light emitted by the lighting device of existing lighting umbrellas is also too dazzling for pedestrians and vehicle drivers, which may easily cause accidents.

- The reflector is of a deformable structure.
- The reflector is in form of an anti-abrasion cloth held between the canopy and the top notch; the anti-abrasion cloth; the anti-abrasion cloth is in form of a reflective cloth.
- The reflector is positioned at a lateral side of the lighting device.
- The reflector is connected to the canopy and/or the rib assembly.
- The lighting device cooperates with the shaft and is provided between the top notch and the runner.
- The lighting device cooperates with the top notch.
- The lighting device cooperates with ribs of the rib assembly.
- The reflector covers the lighting device.
- The main body further comprises a handle fixed at a lower end of the shaft; a lighting switch is installed at the handle to control operation of the lighting device.
- The handle comprises a battery to supply power to the lighting device.
- With the present invention, the lighting device cooperates with the upper part of the main body and is provided at the inner side of the canopy, so that the lighting device is at a high position and is not easily interfered by user's hands, and thereby directly increasing the lighting area of the road surface as illuminated by the lighting device. The reflector reflects the light emitted by the lighting device to the area under the main body, such that the light emitted is better utilized to improve the lighting area and lighting brightness of the road surface. In view of the above, the present invention effectively improves the lighting area and lighting brightness of the road surface by means of the lighting device and the reflector, so that it is easier to check road conditions in an environment without sufficient light. Furthermore, the lighting device of the present invention cooperates with the upper part of the main body and is provided at the inner side of the canopy, so that it is easier to see things under the umbrella through the light emitted by the lighting device when ambient light is insufficient.
- In addition, the canopy and the reflector of the present invention effectively reduce the intensity of the light emitted by the lighting device in the horizontal direction to the exterior of the main body, thereby preventing the light emitted by the lighting device from causing discomfort to the eyes of the people facing thereto.

It should be noted that thereflector 3 may also be connected to either thecanopy 15 or therib assembly 14 so as to be provided at the inner side of thecanopy 15. Thelighting device 2 cooperates with theribs 141 of therib assembly 14, and thelighting device 3 may be in form of a lighting strip surrounding thereflector 3. - As shown in
FIG. 6 , in the sixth embodiment of the present invention, thereflector 3 is connected to thecanopy 15 so as to be provided at the inner side of thecanopy 15. Thereflector 3 is positioned on the lateral side of thelighting device 2, such that thereflector 3 reflects light emitted by thelighting device 2 to the area under themain body 1. Thereflector 3 may be of a ring structure, and thereflector 3 may be in form of a reflective film adhered to thecanopy 15. Thelighting device 2 cooperates with theribs 141 of therib assembly 14, and thelighting device 2 may be in form of a lighting strip surrounding thereflector 3. - As shown in
FIG. 1 toFIG. 6 andFIG. 8 , themain body 1 further comprises ahandle 16 fixed at a lower end of theshaft 11. Alighting switch 4 is installed at thehandle 16 to control operation of thelighting device 2. Thehandle 16 may further comprise abattery 5 to supply power to thelighting device 2. Thelighting switch 4 and thebattery 5 are electrically connected to thelighting device 2 through a wire that passes through theshaft 11. Thebattery 5 is removably disposed in thehandle 16, so that thebattery 5 may be replaced by a new one when out of power. Thehandle 16 is provided with an installation opening for mounting and dismounting thebattery 5. Aninstallation cover 161 detachably covers the installation opening and may be connected with thehandle 16 by threads or snap fit. Themain body 1 of the present invention may be a straight umbrella or a foldable umbrella. When themain body 1 is a foldable umbrella, the wire passing through theshaft 11 may be in form of a helical telescopic wire which may be extended and retracted with the telescopic movement of theshaft 11 to prevent damaging the wire passing through theshaft 11. - It should be noted that the
lighting device 2 of the present invention may be installed at various installation positions, as long as the installation positions of thelighting device 2 are at the upper part of themain body 1 and at the inner side of thecanopy 15, and thelighting device 2 does not interfere with folding and unfolding of themain body 1. Thereflector 3 may also be installed at various installation positions, as long as the installation positions of thereflector 3 are at the upper part of themain body 1 and at the inner side of thecanopy 15, and thereflector 3 is able to reflect the light emitted by thelighting device 2 to the area under themain body 1. - The above mentioned embodiments and the accompanying drawings do not limit the form and style of the product of the present invention, and any appropriate changes or modifications made by those skilled in the art should not be considered as departing from the scope of protection of the present invention.
