Abstract

Disclosed is a diaper changing article. The diaper changing article comprising a first portion designed to receive a baby. The diaper changing article further comprising a second portion attached to one of, a side of the first portion of the diaper changing article to form a L-shaped diaper changing article, wherein the second portion of the diaper changing article is designed to be foldable to cover a midsection of a body of the baby, when the baby is lying on the first portion of the diaper changing article.

CROSS-REFERENCE TO RELATED APPLICATIONS

This application claims the benefit of U.S. Provisional Application Ser. No. 63/354,432 filed Jun. 22, 2022, entitled “DIAPER CHANGING ARTICLE”, which is incorporated herein by reference in its entirety.

FIELD OF THE INVENTION

Embodiments disclosed herein relate, in general, to a baby product, and more particularly, to a diaper changing article.

BACKGROUND

Baby diapering is an important task for every parent as a dirty diaper can irritate skin of a baby if worn for longer periods. While travelling, it is very difficult to find a clean place for changing the diaper of the baby. In case of emergency, the parents have to lay the baby down on any changing surface such as public washing slabs. However, no parent wants to put their baby on the public washing slabs that can cause infectious diseases. To avoid such issues, diaper changing stations have been developed in public washrooms where a parent can lay the baby down to change the diaper.
However, the public washrooms failed to provide enough diaper changing stations due to which the parents have to use the public washing slabs in case of an emergency. Further, while changing the diaper, if the baby urinates, then the urine can spray back onto the baby's body as well as spoil clothes of a person changing the diaper. Also, the diaper changing stations require a complete setup including diapers, a changing table, and so forth, which consumes a lot of space. In addition, some of the diaper changing stations are affixed in one place which restricts a use of the diaper changing stations at limited places only.
Therefore, there is a need for an improved diaper changing article that can stop a urine attack while changing the diapers in a more efficient manner.

SUMMARY

Embodiments in accordance with the present invention provide a diaper changing article. The diaper changing article comprising a first portion designed to receive a baby. The diaper changing article further comprising a second portion attached to one of, a side of the first portion of the diaper changing article to form a L-shaped diaper changing article, wherein the second portion of the diaper changing article is designed to be foldable to cover a midsection of a body of the baby, when the baby is lying on the first portion of the diaper changing article.
Embodiments in accordance with the present invention provide a diaper changing article. The diaper changing article comprising a first portion designed to receive a baby, wherein the first portion of the diaper changing article is a double layered portion made up of a first layer and a second layer, thereby leaving an opening in between the first layer and the second layer to receive a changing pad. The diaper changing article further comprising a second portion attached to one of, a side of the first portion of the diaper changing article to form a L-shaped diaper changing article, wherein the second portion of the diaper changing article is designed to be foldable to cover a midsection of a body of the baby, when the baby is lying on the first portion of the diaper changing article.
Embodiments in accordance with the present invention provide a diaper changing article. The diaper changing article comprising a first portion designed to receive a baby. The diaper changing article further comprising a second portion attached to one of, a side of the first portion of the diaper changing article to form a L-shaped diaper changing article such that the second portion of the diaper changing article is designed to be foldable to cover a midsection of a body of the baby, when the baby is lying on the first portion of the diaper changing article, wherein a size of the second portion of the diaper changing article is half of a size of the first portion of the diaper changing article.
Embodiments in accordance with the present invention provide a diaper changing article. The diaper changing article may be a diaper changing towel, in an embodiment of the present invention. The diaper changing article comprising: a first portion. The first portion is a vertical portion designed to receive a baby. The diaper changing article further comprising: a second portion attached to a right side of the first portion of the diaper changing article to form a L-shaped diaper changing article. The second portion of the diaper changing article is designed to be foldable to cover a midsection of a body of the baby, when the baby is lying on the first portion of the diaper changing article.
Embodiments in accordance with the present invention further provide a diaper changing article. The diaper changing article may be a diaper changing towel, in an embodiment of the present invention. The diaper changing article comprising: a first portion. The first portion is a vertical portion designed to receive a baby. The first portion is a double layered portion made up of a first layer and a second layer, thereby leaving an opening in between the first layer and the second layer to receive a changing pad. The diaper changing article further comprising: a second portion attached to a right side of the first portion of the diaper changing article to form L-shaped diaper changing article. The second portion of the diaper changing article is designed to be foldable to cover a midsection of a body of the baby, when the baby is lying on the first portion of the diaper changing article.
Embodiments in accordance with the present invention further provide a method of changing a diaper using a diaper changing article. The method comprising steps of: lying the diaper changing article down in a folded configuration on a changing surface; unfolding the diaper changing article by a user to form a L-shaped diaper changing article; receiving a baby on a first portion of the diaper changing article for removing an already worn diaper of the baby; covering a private part of a body of the baby with at least one of, a second portion of the diaper changing article or with a new diaper if the baby urinates while changing the diaper; and folding down the diaper changing article by the user upon changing the already worn diaper with the new diaper.
Embodiments of the present invention may provide a number of advantages depending on its particular configuration. First, embodiments of the present invention provide a diaper changing article that prevents baby's urine from spraying back onto body and clothes of a baby.
Next, embodiments of the present invention provide a diaper changing article that protects a baby from hot and cold changing surfaces by lying the diaper changing article over a changing surface.
Next, embodiments of the present invention provide a diaper changing article that is foldable and portable and used on any surface such as, bathroom changing table, grass, and so forth.
Next, embodiments of the present invention may provide a diaper changing article that incorporates an ergonomic design. The diaper changing article may be designed to have a contoured shape and a cushioning to provide proper support and comfort for a baby during diaper changes.
Next, embodiments of the present invention may provide a diaper changing article that incorporates convenient and hygienic disposal options.
These and other advantages will be apparent from the present application of the embodiments described herein.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION

Embodiments of the present invention will be described below in conjunction with an exemplary diaper changing article. Embodiments of the present invention are not limited to any particular type of a diaper changing article. Those skilled in the art will recognize the disclosed techniques may be used in any diaper changing article.
The phrases “at least one”, “one or more”, and “and/or” are open-ended expressions that are both conjunctive and disjunctive in operation. For example, each of the expressions “at least one of A, B and C”, “at least one of A, B, or C”, “one or more of A, B, and C”, “one or more of A, B, or C” and “A, B, and/or C” means A alone, B alone, C alone, A and B together, A and C together, B and C together, or A, B and C together.
The term “a” or “an” entity refers to one or more of that entity. As such, the terms “a” (or “an”), “one or more” and “at least one” can be used interchangeably herein. It is also to be noted that the terms “comprising”, “including”, and “having” can be used interchangeably.
FIG. 1A illustrates a top view of a diaper changing article 100, according to an embodiment of the present invention. The diaper changing article 100 may be a urine blocker article that may be designed for babies to stop a urine attack while changing diapers, in an embodiment of the present invention. The babies may be, but not limited to, infants, toddlers, and so forth. Embodiments of the present invention are intended to include or otherwise cover any baby who wears the diaper. The diaper changing article 100 may be designed to prevent a flow of urine from the diaper changing article 100 to nearby objects and/or users and to a body of the baby, in an embodiment of the present invention. In an embodiment of the present invention, the diaper changing article 100 may be designed to prevent the flow of the urine by absorbing the urine of the baby. The users may be, but not limited to, parents of the baby, care taker of the baby, any relative of the baby, and so forth. Embodiments of the present invention are intended to include or otherwise cover any type of the users.
In an embodiment of the present invention, the diaper changing article 100 may be designed to be portable to enable the user to carry the diaper carrying article 100 from a first location to a second location. Further, in an embodiment of the present invention, the diaper changing article 100 may be designed to be foldable to use the diaper changing article 100 on any changing surface, thereby protects the baby from hot or cold changing surfaces. The changing surface may be, but not limited to, a bathroom changing table, grass, a bed, blacktop, and so forth. Embodiments of the present invention are intended to include or otherwise cover any type of the changing surface where the diaper changing article 100 may be placed and/or used. In another embodiment of the present invention, the diaper changing article 100 may be designed to be foldable to store the diaper changing article 100 for future use. In another embodiment of the present invention, the diaper changing article 100 may be left on the changing surface for future use upon using the diaper changing article 100. The diaper changing article 100 may also be designed to be machine washable if soiled, in an embodiment of the present invention. In a further embodiment of the present invention, the diaper changing article 100 may be designed with a reversible surface. This may allow the user to flip the diaper changing article 100 over and use either side, extending a usage of the diaper changing article 100 before needing to be cleaned or washed.
The diaper changing article 100 may also be designed to be used in vehicles while travelling, in an embodiment of the present invention. The vehicles may be, but not limited to, cars, trains, airplanes, and so forth. Embodiments of the present invention are intended to include or otherwise cover any type of the vehicles. Further, in an embodiment of the present invention, the diaper changing article 100 may be designed to protect the users standing around the baby from being sprayed with urine of the baby. The diaper changing article 100 may also be designed to prevent the urine of the baby from spraying back onto body and clothes of the baby, in an embodiment of the present invention. In an embodiment of the present invention, the diaper changing article 100 may be, but not limited to, a diaper changing mat, a diaper changing cloth pad, and so forth. In a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the diaper changing article 100 may be a diaper changing towel. In a further embodiment of the present invention, the diaper changing article 100 may be a diaper changing cushion. The diaper changing cushion may be filled with a soft and supportive material, that may be but not limited to such as a memory foam (not shown) or a polyester fiberfill (not shown), providing a comfortable and cushioned surface for the baby during diaper changes.
In another embodiment, the diaper changing article 100 may be a diaper changing liner. The diaper changing liner may be a thin and disposable sheet that may be placed on top of the changing surface, providing a clean and hygienic barrier between the baby and the changing surfaces. In such an embodiment of the present invention, the diaper changing liner may be a scented liner, designed to provide a pleasant fragrance during diaper changes. The diaper changing liner may be infused with a light and baby-friendly scent, that may be a lavender, a chamomile, and so forth. Embodiments of the present invention are intended to include or otherwise cover any baby-friendly scent of the diaper changing article 100 including known related art and/or later developed technologies that may be beneficial for keeping a pleasant environment for the baby and the user.
Embodiments of the present invention are intended to include or otherwise cover any type of the diaper changing article 100 including known related art and/or later developed technologies. In an embodiment of the present invention, the diaper changing article 100 may be made up of an absorbing material such as, but not limited to, cotton, bamboo, microfiber, and so forth. Embodiments of the present invention are intended to include or otherwise cover any type of the absorbing material of the diaper changing article 100 including known related art and/or later developed technologies that may be beneficial to absorb the urine of the baby.
FIG. 1B illustrates a folded configuration of the diaper changing article 100, according to an embodiment of the present invention. In an embodiment of the present invention, the diaper changing article 100 may be designed in any color such as, but not limited to, a grey color, a blue color, a yellow color, and so forth. Embodiments of the present invention are intended to include or otherwise cover any color of the diaper changing article 100 including known related art and/or later developed technologies. In an embodiment of the present invention, the diaper changing article 100 may comprise a first portion 102 and a second portion 104. The first portion 102 of the diaper changing article 100 may be a vertical portion that may be designed to receive the baby. In other words, the user may lay the baby down on the first portion 102 of the diaper changing article 100 to change the diaper.
In an embodiment of the present invention, the first portion 102 of the diaper changing article 100 may be of any polygon shape such as, but not limited to, a square shape, a parallelogram shape, and so forth. In a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the first portion 102 of the diaper changing article 100 may be of a rectangular shape. Embodiments of the present invention are intended to include or otherwise cover any shape of the first portion 102 of the diaper changing article 100 including known related art and/or later developed technologies. In an embodiment of the present invention, the first portion 102 of the diaper changing article 100 may comprise a plurality of prints such as, but not limited to, an illustration, a pattern, a cartoon character, a text, and so forth. Embodiments of the present invention are intended to include or otherwise cover any type of the plurality of prints, including known, related art, and/or later developed technologies.
Further, in an embodiment of the present invention, the second portion 104 of the diaper changing article 100 may be a horizontal portion of the diaper changing article 100. The second portion 104 of the diaper changing article 100 may be attached to the first portion 102 of the diaper changing article 100, in an embodiment of the present invention. The second portion 104 of the diaper changing article 100 may be attached to a right side of the first portion 102 of the diaper changing article 100 to form a L-shaped diaper changing article. In another embodiment of the present invention, the second portion 104 of the diaper changing article 100 may be attached to a left side of the first portion 102 of the diaper changing article 100. The second portion 104 of the diaper changing article 100 may be attached to a bottom side of the first portion 102 of the diaper changing article 100, in yet another embodiment of the present invention. The second portion 104 of the diaper changing article 100 may be attached to the first portion 102 of the diaper changing article 100 through a stitching, in an embodiment of the present invention. In an embodiment of the present invention, the stitching may be done with a colored thread matching to a color of the diaper changing article 100. In another embodiment of the present invention, the second portion 104 of the diaper changing article 100 may be attached to the first portion 102 of the diaper changing article 100 through any closure such as, but not limited to, buttons, a hook and eye closure, a snap closure, a toggle closure, and so forth. Embodiments of the present invention are intended to include or otherwise cover any type of the closure including known related art and/or later developed technologies.
In yet another embodiment of the present invention, the first portion 102 of the diaper changing article 100 and the second portion 104 of the diaper changing article 100 may be a complete one piece of the diaper changing article 100, thereby no attachment is required.
The second portion 104 of the diaper changing article 100 may be designed to be foldable, in an embodiment of the present invention. In other words, the user may fold the second portion 104 of the diaper changing article 100 over a midsection of a body of the baby to cover a private part of the baby, when the baby is lying on the first portion 102 of the diaper changing article 100. The second portion 104 of the diaper changing article 100 may cover the private part of the baby to block urine spray onto the objects and/or users. In an embodiment of the present invention, a size of the second portion 104 of the diaper changing article 100 may be half of a size of the first portion 102 of the diaper changing article 100 to cover the private part of the baby. The second portion 104 of the diaper changing article 100 may be adapted to provide a 180-degree coverage from front and sides areas to protect from the urine spray, in an embodiment of the present invention.
In an embodiment of the present invention, the second portion 104 of the diaper changing article 100 may be of any polygon shape such as, but not limited to, a square shape, a parallelogram shape, and so forth. In a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the second portion 104 of the diaper changing article 100 may be of a rectangular shape. Embodiments of the present invention are intended to include or otherwise cover any shape of the second portion 104 of the diaper changing article 100 including known related art and/or later developed technologies. In another embodiment of the present invention, the first portion 102 of the diaper changing article 100 may be paired with a layer of the memory foam (not shown). The layer of the memory foam may be arranged underneath the first portion 102 of the diaper changing article 100, in an embodiment of the present invention. In an embodiment of the present invention, the layer of the memory foam arranged underneath the first portion 102 may be adapted to offer an enhanced comfort by evenly distributing a weight of the baby. The layer of the memory foam arranged underneath the first portion 102 may be further be adapted to relax a muscular system of the baby by relieving pressure points on a body of the baby, in an embodiment of the present invention.
In yet another embodiment of the present invention, the first portion 102 of the diaper changing article 100 may further provide an attachment mechanism (not shown). The attachment mechanism may be configured to rigidly hold the diaper changing article 100 with the changing surface, in an embodiment of the present invention. In an embodiment of the present invention, the attachment mechanism when paired with the changing surface may prevent misalignment of the diaper changing article 100 on the changing surface when in use. The attachment mechanism may be flexible and adjustable in nature, that may provide adaptability of the diaper changing article 100 to various types and sizes of the changing surface, in an embodiment of the present invention. In an embodiment of the present invention, the adjustment of the attachment mechanism may be facilitated by and may carried out by utilization of buckles.
According to embodiments of the present invention, the attachment mechanism may be, but not limited to, strips, hooks, clips, ropes, strands, and so forth. In a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the attachment mechanism may be straps. Embodiments of the present invention are intended to include or otherwise cover any type of the attachment mechanism, including known, related art, and/or later developed technologies.
According to embodiments of the present invention, the attachment mechanism may be constructed of any material such as, but not limited to, a nylon material, a polyester material, a Velcro material, a plastic material, and so forth. Embodiments of the present invention are intended to include or otherwise cover any material for construction of the attachment mechanism, including known, related art, and/or later developed technologies.
FIG. 1C illustrates an unfolded configuration of the diaper changing article 100, according to an embodiment of the present invention. In an embodiment of the present invention, a length of the first portion 102 of the diaper changing article 100 may be in a range of 23 inches to 25 inches. In a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the length of the first portion 102 of the diaper changing article 100 may be 24 inches. Further, in an embodiment of the present invention, a width of the first portion 102 of the diaper changing article 100 may be in a range of 14 inches to 16 inches. In a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the width of the first portion 102 of the diaper changing article 100 may be 15 inches.
In an embodiment of the present invention, a length of the second portion 104 of the diaper changing article 100 may be in a range of 11 inches to 13 inches. In a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the length of the second portion 104 of the diaper changing article 100 may be 12 inches. Further, in an embodiment of the present invention, a width of the second portion 104 of the diaper changing article 100 may be in a range of 14 inches to 16 inches. In a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the width of the second portion 104 of the diaper changing article 100 may be 15 inches. In an embodiment of the present invention, a width of the diaper changing article 100 may be 30 inches.
FIG. 1D illustrates layers of the first portion 102 of the diaper changing article 100, according to an embodiment of the present invention. In an embodiment of the present invention, the first portion 102 of the diaper changing article 100 may be a double layered portion that may comprise a first layer 106 and a second layer 108. In an embodiment of the present invention, the first layer 106 may be made of a first piece of a material and the second layer 108 may be made of a second piece of a material, thereby leaving an opening 110 in between the first layer 106 and the second layer 108.
In an embodiment of the present invention, the first layer 106 and the second layer 108 may be made up of a same material. In another embodiment of the present invention, the first layer 106 and the second layer 108 may be made up of different materials. In such embodiment of the present invention, the first layer 106 may be made up of a soft material such as, but not limited to, microfiber, nylon polymer, soft cotton, and so forth. Embodiments of the present invention are intended to include or otherwise cover any type of the soft material of the first layer 106 that may provide comfort to the baby, including known, related art, and/or later developed technologies. The second layer 108 of the first portion 102 may be made up of an absorbing and/or a waterproof material such as, but not limited to, cellulose fibers, virgin fibers, synthetic fibers, crop fibers, flax fibers, cotton fibers, and so forth for absorbing the urine of the baby. Embodiments of the present invention are intended to include or otherwise cover any type of the absorbing material that may be capable to absorb the urine of the baby, including known, related art, and/or later developed technologies.
In an embodiment of the present invention, the first layer 106 of the first portion 102 may be attached to the second layer 108 of the first portion 102 through a stitching technique. In an exemplary embodiment of the present invention, the first layer 106 and the second layer 108 may be attached together by a line of stitching around three sides and a fourth side may act as the opening 110 to receive a changing pad (not shown).
The stitching technique may be one of, a zig-zag stitch, a backstitch, a blind stitch, and so forth. Embodiments of the present invention are intended to include or otherwise cover any type of the stitching technique, including known, related art, and/or later developed technologies. In a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the stitching technique may be a top stitching. As used herein, the “top stitching” refers to a sewing technique where a line of the stitching may be designed to be seen from outside of a material. According to embodiments of the present invention, the top stitching may be done on sides of the first portion 102 of the diaper changing article 100 for a decorative or a functional purpose.
The opening 110 may be provided to enable the user to insert the changing pad based on a requirement, in an embodiment of the present invention. As used herein, the term “changing pad” may be a layer of cloth that may provide comfort to the baby while changing the diaper. In an embodiment of the present invention, the opening 110 may be closed by a closure element that may be, the buttons, a zipper, the hook and eye closures, and so forth. Embodiments of the present invention are intended to include or otherwise cover any type of the closure element, including known, related art, and/or later developed technologies.
In an embodiment of the present invention, the changing pad inserted into the opening 110 may not be removable. In another embodiment of the present invention, the changing pad inserted into the opening 110 may be removable. The removed changing pad from the opening 110 may be washable, in an embodiment of the present invention. In an embodiment of the present invention, the removed changing pad from the opening 110 may be eligible for hand washing. The removed changing pad from the opening 110 may be compatible with machine wash, in another embodiment of the present invention.
According to embodiments of the present invention, the changing pad may be constructed of any material that may be, but not limited to, a cotton fabric material, a hard plastic material, a flexible plastic material, a Poly Vinyl Chloride (PVC) material, and so forth. Embodiments of the present invention are intended to include or otherwise cover any material for construction of the changing pad, including known, related art, and/or later developed technologies. FIG. 2 illustrates a flow chart of a method 200 of manufacturing of the diaper changing article 100, according to an embodiment of the present invention.
At step 202, the diaper changing article 100 may be provided with the first portion 102 to receive the baby. The first portion 102 may be the double layered portion that may be made up of the first layer 106 and the second layer 108.
At step 204, the diaper changing article 100 may be provided with the second portion 104 that may be attached to the right side of the first portion 102, to form the L-shaped diaper changing article 100.
At step 206, the diaper changing article 100 may be provided with the opening 110 in between the first layer 106 and the second layer 108 of the first portion 102, to receive the changing pad.
FIG. 3 illustrates a flowchart of a method 300 of changing the diaper using the diaper changing article 100, according to an embodiment of the present invention.
At step 302, the diaper changing article 100 that may be in the folded configuration may be laid down on the changing surface.
At step 304, the diaper changing article 100 may be unfolded by the user to form the L-shaped diaper changing article 100.
At step 306, the diaper changing article 100 may receive the baby on the first portion 102 of the diaper changing article 100. Once the baby is received on the first portion 102 of the diaper changing article 100, the user may remove a bottom portion of clothes of the baby or lift the clothes up above a belly button to remove the already worn diaper. Upon removing the already worn diaper, let the private part breath while watching for immediate urine spray.
At step 308, the diaper changing article 100 may be used by the user to cover the private part of the body of the baby with at least one of, the second portion 104 of the diaper changing article 100 or with a new diaper if the baby urinates. Once the baby urinates, the user may use a non-wiping hand to pull a leg of the baby to bring the baby close to the user and the diaper changing article 100 for cleaning the baby. Further, the user may lift or tilt the baby sideways to cover the private part of the baby with the second portion 104 of the diaper changing article 100 while cleaning the baby.
At step 310, the diaper changing article 100 may be folded by the user upon cleaning the baby and putting the new diaper.

Claims

What is claimed:

1. A diaper changing article, comprising:

a first portion designed to receive a baby; and

a second portion attached to one of, a side of the first portion of the diaper changing article to form a L-shaped diaper changing article, wherein the second portion of the diaper changing article is designed to be foldable to cover a midsection of a body of the baby, when the baby is lying on the first portion of the diaper changing article.

2. The diaper changing article of claim 1, wherein the diaper changing article is a diaper changing towel.

3. The diaper changing article of claim 1, wherein the first portion of the diaper changing article is a double layered portion made up of a first layer and a second layer, thereby leaving an opening in between the first layer and the second layer to receive a changing pad.

4. The diaper changing article of claim 3, wherein the first layer of the second portion of the diaper changing article is made up of a soft material and the second layer of the second portion of the diaper changing article is made up of an absorbing and waterproof material.

5. The diaper changing article of claim 1, wherein a size of the second portion of the diaper changing article is half of a size of the first portion of the diaper changing article.

6. The diaper changing article of claim 1, wherein the second portion of the diaper changing article is adapted to provide 180-degree coverage.

7. The diaper changing article of claim 1, wherein a width of the diaper changing article is in a range of 28 inches to 32 inches.

8. The diaper changing article of claim 1, wherein a length of the first portion of the diaper changing article is in a range of 23 inches to 25 inches and a width of the first portion of the diaper changing article is in a range of 14 inches to 16 inches.

9. The diaper changing article of claim 1, wherein a length of the second portion the diaper changing article is in a range of 11 inches to 13 inches and a width of the second portion of the diaper changing article is in a range of 14 inches to 16 inches.

10. A diaper changing article, comprising:

a first portion designed to receive a baby, wherein the first portion of the diaper changing article is a double layered portion made up of a first layer and a second layer, thereby leaving an opening in between the first layer and the second layer to receive a changing pad; and

11. The diaper changing article of claim 10, wherein the diaper changing article is a diaper changing towel.

12. The diaper changing article of claim 10, wherein a size of the second portion of the diaper changing article is half of a size of the first portion of the diaper changing article.

13. The diaper changing article of claim 10, wherein the second portion of the diaper changing article is adapted to provide 180-degree coverage.

14. The diaper changing article of claim 10, wherein a width of the diaper changing article is in a range of 28 inches to 32 inches.

15. The diaper changing article of claim 10, wherein a length of the first portion of the diaper changing article is in a range of 23 inches to 25 inches and a width of the first portion of the diaper changing article is in a range of 14 inches to 16 inches.

16. The diaper changing article of claim 10, wherein a length of the second portion the diaper changing article is in a range of 11 inches to 13 inches and a width of the second portion of the diaper changing article is in a range of 14 inches to 16 inches.

17. The diaper changing article of claim 10, wherein the first layer of the second portion of the diaper changing article is made up of a soft material and the second layer of the second portion of the diaper changing article is made up of an absorbing and waterproof material.

18. A diaper changing article, comprising:

a first portion designed to receive a baby; and

a second portion attached to one of, a side of the first portion of the diaper changing article to form a L-shaped diaper changing article such that the second portion of the diaper changing article is designed to be foldable to cover a midsection of a body of the baby, when the baby is lying on the first portion of the diaper changing article,

wherein a size of the second portion of the diaper changing article is half of a size of the first portion of the diaper changing article.

19. The diaper changing article of claim 18, wherein the diaper changing article is a diaper changing towel.

20. The diaper changing article of claim 18, wherein the first portion of the diaper changing article is a double layered portion made up of a first layer and a second layer, thereby leaving an opening in between the first layer and the second layer to receive a changing pad.
