Description
- The present disclosure claims priority to U.S. Provisional Application No. 63/345,244, filed May 24, 2022, the contents of which are hereby incorporated by reference herein in their entirety.
- The present disclosure relates to novel and advantageous game boards and game systems that are more conducive to traveling and other outdoor experiences.
- The background description provided herein is for the purpose of generally presenting the context of the disclosure. Work of the presently named inventors, to the extent it is described in this background section, as well as aspects of the description that may not otherwise qualify as prior art at the time of filing, are neither expressly nor impliedly admitted as prior art against the present disclosure.
- Playing board games of all kinds is a hobby for many campers, hikers, boaters, and other travelers. Often times, these board games require a heavy, relatively large, and cumbersome box to store the board game and its related components. Sometimes the board games involve a large wooden playing board, such as Chinese checkers or cribbage. These games can be cumbersome to store or to bring during travel when space is limited, such as on a boat, in a tent, in a camper, or in a recreational vehicle trailer, in a suitcase, in a backpack, or in a hiking pack. The boards also are not typically resistant to spills, water, rain, snow, and other elements or hazards.
- Some traveling games on the market are a miniaturized version of the full-sized game board, which may impact the desirability of play based on, for instance, the dexterity of the players, playing card size, and a shortened scope of play.
- It would be desirable to have a full-sized game board that is less cumbersome for travel or other outdoor activities, that fits into various sized compartments, and suitable to withstand the elements that many travelers encounter.
- The following presents a simplified summary of one or more embodiments of the present disclosure in order to provide a basic understanding of such embodiments. This summary is not an extensive overview of all contemplated embodiments, and is intended to neither identify key or critical elements of all embodiments, nor delineate the scope of any or all embodiments.
