FIGS. 1 through 7 , the jointcompound pan assembly 10 generally comprises apan 12 that has a concavelyarcuate bottom side 14 to facilitatejoint compound 16 to be scooped out of thepan 12. Thepan 12 has a first end 18, a second end 20 and anouter wall 22 extending between the first end 18 and the second end 20, and thebottom side 14 is associated with theouter wall 22. Theouter wall 22 has atop edge 24 defining an opening 26 into thepan 12 and thepan 12 is elongated between the first end 18 and the second end 20. Furthermore, thebottom side 14 is concavely arcuate with respect to thetop edge 24, and each of the first end 18 and the second end 20 has anupper edge 28 that is aligned with thetop edge 24 of theouter wall 22. Thepan 12 may have a length ranging between approximately 14.0 inches and 18.0 inches, a width ranging between approximately 4.0 inches and 6.0 inches and a depth ranging between approximately 4.0 inches and 6.0 inches. Additionally, thepan 12 may be comprised of stainless steel such thatjoint compound 16 for gypsum board can be contained in thepan 12 without sticking thepan 12. - A
bolt 30 is coupled to and extends downwardly from thebottom side 14 of thepan 12. Thebolt 30 has anouter surface 32 and theouter surface 32 is threaded. Additionally, thebolt 30 is centrally positioned between the first end 18 and the second end 20 of thepan 12 and thebolt 30 is positioned on anapex 34 of thebottom side 14 of theouter wall 22. Thebolt 30 may have a length of approximately 0.5 inches and a diameter of approximately 0.375 inches. - A
handle 36 is provided which has a well 38 extending into thehandle 36 and the well 38 insertably receives thebolt 30 for attaching thehandle 36 to thebolt 30. Thehandle 36 has anupper end 40, alower end 42 and anoutside surface 44 extending between theupper end 40 and thelower end 42, and thewell 38 extends into theupper end 40. Thewell 38 has a boundingsurface 46 and the boundingsurface 46 is threaded. Moreover, the boundingsurface 46 threadably engages theouter surface 32 of thebolt 30. Theoutside surface 44 of thehandle 36 is textured to enhance gripping thehandle 36. Thehandle 36 may have a length of approximately 5.0 inches and a diameter of approximately 1.0 inches. - A
disk 48 is provided and thedisk 48 is positioned around thehandle 36. Thedisk 48 has abottom surface 50 and atop surface 52, and thedisk 48 has ahole 54 extending through thebottom surface 50 and thetop surface 52. Thehole 54 is centrally positioned on thedisk 48. Additionally, thehole 54 insertably receives thehandle 36 such that thedisk 48 is positioned against thebottom side 14 of thepan 12 when thehandle 36 is threaded onto thebolt 30. - In use, the
handle 36 is extended through thedisk 48 and thehandle 36 is threaded onto thebolt 30. In this way thehandle 36 can be gripped to hold thepan 12 while the user is applying thejoint compound 16 to gypsum wall board. Additionally, the texturedoutside surface 44 of thehandle 36 facilitates the user to spin thehandle 36 thereby facilitating the entirety of thejoint compound 16 to be scooped from thepan 12. Moreover, the curvedbottom side 14 of thepan 12 facilitates all of thejoint compound 16 to be scooped out of thepan 12 thereby minimizing waste. - With respect to the above description then, it is to be realized that the optimum dimensional relationships for the parts of an embodiment enabled by the disclosure, to include variations in size, materials, shape, form, function and manner of operation, assembly and use, are deemed readily apparent and obvious to one skilled in the art, and all equivalent relationships to those illustrated in the drawings and described in the specification are intended to be encompassed by an embodiment of the disclosure.
- Therefore, the foregoing is considered as illustrative only of the principles of the disclosure. Further, since numerous modifications and changes will readily occur to those skilled in the art, it is not desired to limit the disclosure to the exact construction and operation shown and described, and accordingly, all suitable modifications and equivalents may be resorted to, falling within the scope of the disclosure. In this patent document, the word “comprising” is used in its non-limiting sense to mean that items following the word are included, but items not specifically mentioned are not excluded. A reference to an element by the indefinite article “a” does not exclude the possibility that more than one of the element is present, unless the context clearly requires that there be only one of the elements.
