Abstract

An apparatus for drinking from a beverage can having a removably attachable securing means to the beverage can, an elongated member having the shape of the beverage can opening defined by a longitudinally extended member, and a mouthpiece on the opposing end for liquid transfer.

Description

    I. RELATED APPLICATIONS
  • There are no previously filed, nor currently any co-pending applications, anywhere in the world.
  • II. FIELD OF THE INVENTION
  • This application discloses claims and embodiments generally related to beverage can mouthpiece, and more particularly, a mouthpiece with a lip extension to minimize the drinker's contact with the surface. Further, by providing a plurality of color options, users may effectively differentiate between different beverage containers.
  • III. BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
  • Numerous attempts have been made to improve the sanitation and safety of metal beverage cans. Consider that most warehouses store beverage containers in otherwise unsanitary conditions. By providing a medium between the user's mouth and the can, direct contact with the un-sanitized can surface is avoided and sanitation concerns are thereupon ameliorated.
  • IV. SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
  • In one embodiment, an apparatus that is fixably attachable to a beverage can comprising a body having an extruded body with two opposed ends, said first opposed end comprising a flexibly resilient snap fit, wherein said snap fit is removably attachable to a beverage can, and said second end comprising an elongated mouthpiece.
  • In another embodiment, an apparatus for extending the opening of a beverage can is described, the apparatus comprising a removable extrusion having a cross-section similar to a crescent; and two functional ends wherein said first end is attached to the opening of a can by a coupling means and said second end comprises an aperture for drinking the beverage.
  • For each of the embodiments, the first end comprises a shape that permits an air-tight fit therebetween the apparatus and the can for effective liquid transfer, and the body terminating at the snap fit section. In another embodiment of the first end, it is envisioned to supply a suitable fixing means comprising teeth that may be fixably detachable therebetween the can and the mouthpiece.
  • V. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS(S)
  • The advantages and features of the present invention will become better understood with reference to the following more detailed description and claims taken in conjunction with the accompanying drawings, in which likely elements are identified with light symbols, and in which:
  • FIG. 1 is a perspective view of the beverage vessel whereupon the invention may be mounted.
  • FIG. 2 . is an isometric view of the apparatus demonstrating a variety of the invention's features.
  • FIG. 3 . is an exploded view of the mouthpiece extension fixed upon the beverage vessel.
  • FIG. 4 . is a top-down view of the lip extension fixed upon the beverage can.
  • VI. DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE EMBODIMENT(S)
  • It will be readily understood that the components of the present invention, as generally described and illustrated in the figures herein, may be arranged and designed in a wide variety of different configurations. Thus, the following detailed description of the embodiments, as represented in the attached figures, is not intended to limit the scope of the invention as claimed but is merely representative of selected embodiments of the invention.
  • The features, structures, or characteristics of the invention described throughout this specification may be combined in any suitable manner in one or more embodiments. For example, the usage of the phrases “example embodiments”, “some embodiments”, or other similar language, throughout this specification refers to the fact that a particular feature, structure, or characteristic described in connection with the embodiment may be included in at least one embodiment of the present invention. Thus, appearances of the phrases “example embodiments”, “in some embodiments”, “in other embodiments”, or other similar language, throughout this specification do not necessarily all refer to the same group of embodiments, and the described features, structures, or characteristics may be combined in any suitable manner in one or more embodiments.

Claims (5)

What is claimed is:
1. An apparatus for drinking from a beverage can, the apparatus comprising:
A flexibly resilient clamp and a mouthpiece, said clamp comprises a detachably securable attaching means wherein the internal perimeter of said clamp is disposed along the lip of said beverage can, and wherein the mouthpiece comprises a laterally extending body from said clamp.
2. The apparatus of claim 1, wherein the mouthpiece comprises a laterally extending body including first and second ends with the first end having a cross-sectional area that comports to the profile of the snap fit and terminates thereupon, and a second cross section extending in a direction opposite the first section along an axis and having sides of gradually increasing slope.
3. The apparatus of claim 1, wherein the snap fit comprises a semicircular segment that is positioner around and secured to the lip of said beverage can via interference fit and terminating upon the mouthpiece, and wherein the semicircular segment further comprises receiving slots disposed along the interior surface thereof suitable for attachment to the lip of the can.
4. The apparatus of claim 1, wherein the laterally extended body is configured for enabling liquid to be directed from the beverage can towards the user.
5. An apparatus for sanitizing beverage cans, the apparatus comprising:
A detachable locking means for securable fixing said apparatus about the perimeter of a drinking can, and a linearly extended member configured for transferring liquid from the can to the user.
