Abstract
The disclosure is the only product of its kind that is compact in size, requires low water, and has the ability to control urine splash back. This unprecedented product is uniquely designed with durable materials to ensure long term sustainability and can be easily installed in any location. The disclosure includes a handheld receptacle having a top orifice for receiving a urine and a bottom orifice for discharging the urine. The disclosure also includes a hose connected to the handheld receptacle in a rotatable connection, the hose comprising a trap run and a discharge end, wherein a user rotates the trap run and discharge end to a target holding the handheld receptacle.
Description
- As most men know, when using a urinal, there is always the possibility of splash-back. The urine splashes can land onto the user, the floor, and the surrounding walls, therefore contaminating the entire bathroom. Moreover, most urinals in use today waste somewhere between one to three gallons of water for each flush thus leaving behind a significant environmental footprint and wasting a large amount of water after each usage. There have been no products available as original equipment or as an aftermarket to address this problem.
- An apparatus or device to simplify the ability to use a urinal without splashing on the floor or self and safe on water required for flushing. There have been no products available as original equipment or as an aftermarket to address this problem either.
- There exists a need for a device such as The Wall-Mounted Handheld Urinal, that is not being met by any known or disclosed device or system of present.
- The main purpose of the Wall-Mounted Handheld Urinal is to provide users with a wall-mounted, handheld urinal that connects to existing plumbing to reduce water waste and urinal splash back.
- The disclosure also includes a hose connected to the handheld receptacle in a rotatable connection, the hose comprising a trap run and a discharge end, wherein a user rotates the trap run and discharge end to a target holding the handheld receptacle.

FIG. 3 is a bottom elevational view of the disclosure showing the hose, trap and discharge in a rotated plane in accordance with an embodiment of the present disclosure. - Throughout the description, similar reference numbers may be used to identify similar elements depicted in multiple embodiments. Although specific embodiments of the invention have been described and illustrated, the invention is not to be limited to the specific forms or arrangements of parts so described and illustrated. The scope of the invention is to be defined by the claims appended hereto and their equivalents.
- Reference will now be made to exemplary embodiments illustrated in the drawings and specific language will be used herein to describe the same. It will nevertheless be understood that no limitation of the scope of the disclosure is thereby intended. Alterations and further modifications of the inventive features illustrated herein and additional applications of the principles of the inventions as illustrated herein, which would occur to one skilled in the relevant art and having possession of this disclosure, are to be considered within the scope of the invention.

FIG. 1 is a front perspective view of the Wall-Mounted Handheld Urinal, showing: Stand-alone metal urinal 2″×6″ referenced as A is also known herein as the handheld receptacle, Wall mount or backsplash referenced as B., 20″ Drain hose referenced as C., Drain trap referenced as D., discharge end to sewage line referenced as E., Flush water line connected to toilet valve referenced as F., and the rotatable connection G of the hose to the handheld receptacle A in accordance with an embodiment of the present disclosure. The rotatable connection of the hose C to the handheld. receptacle A is depicted as a swivel hose connection common to garden hose connections. - Ingenious and practical, the Wall-Mounted Handheld Urinal otherwise known as “The Big Johnson” not only eliminates urinal splash back, but also requires less than six oz. of liquid to flush to reduce water waste. The Big Johnson introduces a novel stand-alone metal urinal that can be easily mounted onto the wall and simply connected to an existing plumbing source. The Big Johnson uses the existing fresh water pressure for flushing and a gravity drain water system for disposal. This in return allows for the installation in places where there is fresh water present but not a sewage drain, i.e. workshops, garages, outbuildings, etc. To further enhance functionality, this device can also be flushed manually by having water poured into the urinal and having the disposal collected in a container. The Big Johnson ensures a fully operational urinal that requires no additional bathroom space and may prove to be essential in the miscellaneous industry.

FIG. 2 is a bottom elevational view of the disclosure showing the hose, trap and discharge in a plane perpendicular to the backsplash in accordance with an embodiment of the present disclosure. Reference letters refer to same and similar features as depicted inFIG. 1 . The perpendicular plane is perpendicular to the backsplash B plane. The perpendicular plane includes the trap run and the discharge end which are therefore not shown in the present elevational view. -
FIG. 3 is a bottom elevational view of the disclosure showing the hose, trap and discharge in a rotated plane in accordance with an embodiment of the present disclosure. Reference letters refer to same and similar features as depicted inFIG. 1 . The rotated plane runs perpendicular to the drawing page so that the trap run and discharge end are not shown in the present elevational view. - Although the operations of the method(s) herein are shown and described in a particular order, the order of the operations of each method may be altered so that certain operations may be performed in an inverse order or so that certain operations may be performed, at least in part, concurrently with other operations. In another embodiment, instructions or sub-operations of distinct operations may be implemented in an intermittent and/or alternating manner.
