The device includes a pool noodle that has a well extending into an end of the pool noodle to define a beverage holder. A beverage container can be inserted into the beverage holder while a user straddles the pool noodle. In this way the end of the pool noodle extends outwardly from water in which the user is floating thereby facilitating the beverage container to be accessible to the user.
- The prior art relates to holder devices including a variety of floating beverage containers that includes a sleeve for insertably receiving a beverage container and a ring extending around the cylinder for stabilizing the sleeve while floating in water. The prior art discloses a pool noodle which has a beverage container integrated into the pool noodle and a drinking tube that extends away from the pool noodle for facilitating a user to drink a beverage in the beverage container. The prior art discloses a beverage holder that is insertable into an annular end of a pool noodle for holding a beverage and a lid which locks onto the beverage holder.
- An embodiment of the disclosure meets the needs presented above by generally comprising a pool noodle is comprised of a buoyant material wherein the pool noodle is configured to facilitate a user to float on the pool noodle in a body of water. the pool noodle has a beverage holder is integrated into the pool noodle wherein the beverage holder is configured to hold a beverage container for the user when the user is floating on the pool noodle.
- There has thus been outlined, rather broadly, the more important features of the disclosure in order that the detailed description thereof that follows may be better understood, and in order that the present contribution to the art may be better appreciated. There are additional features of the disclosure that will be described hereinafter and which will form the subject matter of the claims appended hereto.
- The objects of the disclosure, along with the various features of novelty which characterize the disclosure, are pointed out with particularity in the claims annexed to and forming a part of this disclosure.
- The disclosure will be better understood and objects other than those set forth above will become apparent when consideration is given to the following detailed description thereof. Such description makes reference to the annexed drawings wherein:
-
FIG. 1 is a perspective view of a buoyant beverage holder assembly according to an embodiment of the disclosure. -
FIG. 2 is a front phantom view of an embodiment of the disclosure. -
FIG. 3 is a right side view of an embodiment of the disclosure. -
FIG. 4 is a top phantom view of an embodiment of the disclosure. -
FIG. 5 is a cross sectional view taken along line 5-5 ofFIG. 4 of an embodiment of the disclosure. -
FIG. 6 is a perspective in-use view of an embodiment of the disclosure. - With reference now to the drawings, and in particular to
FIGS. 1 through 6 thereof, a new holder device embodying the principles and concepts of an embodiment of the disclosure and generally designated by thereference numeral 10 will be described. - As best illustrated in
FIGS. 1 through 6 , the buoyantbeverage holder assembly 10 generally comprises apool noodle 12 that is comprised of a buoyant material. In this way thepool noodle 12 can facilitate auser 14 to float on thepool noodle 12 in a body ofwater 16. Thepool noodle 12 has abeverage holder 18 that is integrated into thepool noodle 12. Thebeverage holder 18 can hold abeverage container 20 for theuser 14 when theuser 14 is floating on thepool noodle 12. Thebeverage container 20 might be a can, bottle, glass or other type of cylindrical beverage container. - The
pool noodle 12 has afirst end 22, asecond end 24 and anouter surface 26 extending between thefirst end 22 and thesecond end 24. Theouter surface 26 is continuously arcuate about an axis extending between thefirst end 22 and thesecond end 24 such that thepool noodle 12 has a cylindrical shape. Additionally, thefirst end 22 has a well 28 extending toward thesecond end 24 such that thewell 28 defines thebeverage holder 18 and thewell 28 has a boundingsurface 30. Thepool noodle 12 has a plurality ofdrain apertures 32 each extending through theouter surface 26 and thebounding surface 30 of thewell 28 to facilitate fluid to drain outwardly from thewell 28. - The
pool noodle 12 is comprised of a flexible material such that thepool noodle 12 is bendable into a U-shape when theuser 14 sits on thepool noodle 12. In this way each of thefirst end 22 and thesecond end 24 extend upwardly from the body ofwater 16 when theuser 14 floats on thepool noodle 12. Thus, thebeverage container 20 is positioned above the body ofwater 16 when thebeverage container 20 is positioned in thebeverage holder 18 and theuser 14 sits on thepool noodle 12. Thepool noodle 12 may have a length of at least 48.0 inches and thepool noodle 12 may have a diameter of at least 4.0 inches. The well 28 may have a diameter of at least 3.0 inches thereby facilitating thewell 28 to accommodate the diameter of a beer can, for example, or other aluminum cans employed for storing beverages. - In use, the
user 14 straddles thepool noodle 12 when theuser 14 is swimming in the body ofwater 16 such that each of thefirst end 22 and thesecond end 24 of thepool noodle 12 is exposed with respect to the body ofwater 16. In this way theuser 14 can place theirbeverage container 20 into thebeverage holder 18 that is integrated into thepool noodle 12. In this way theuser 14 can enjoy floating in the body ofwater 16 without worrying about holding theirbeverage container 20. - With respect to the above description then, it is to be realized that the optimum dimensional relationships for the parts of an embodiment enabled by the disclosure, to include variations in size, materials, shape, form, function and manner of operation, assembly and use, are deemed readily apparent and obvious to one skilled in the art, and all equivalent relationships to those illustrated in the drawings and described in the specification are intended to be encompassed by an embodiment of the disclosure.
- Therefore, the foregoing is considered as illustrative only of the principles of the disclosure. Further, since numerous modifications and changes will readily occur to those skilled in the art, it is not desired to limit the disclosure to the exact construction and operation shown and described, and accordingly, all suitable modifications and equivalents may be resorted to, falling within the scope of the disclosure. In this patent document, the word “comprising” is used in its non-limiting sense to mean that items following the word are included, but items not specifically mentioned are not excluded. A reference to an element by the indefinite article “a” does not exclude the possibility that more than one of the element is present, unless the context clearly requires that there be only one of the elements.
