Abstract

A reversible watch insertion connector includes a connector body for connecting a watchband with a dial, where the connector body is slidably inserted into an insertion groove defined in the dial and the connector body is snap-fitted with the dial by a position securing slot defined in the insertion groove. Two movable buttons operative to move up and down are symmetrically arranged on an upper side and a lower side of the connector body respectively. And between the two movable buttons is arranged an elastic expansion member that makes the movable buttons protrude out of the connector body. The two movable buttons are inserted into the insertion groove along with the connector body, and one of the movable buttons is locked into the position securing slot under the action of the elastic expansion member, so as to realize the connection and fixation of the connector body with the dial.

Description

    CROSS-REFERENCE TO RELATED APPLICATIONS
  • This application claims the benefit and priority of China patent application No. 202121860946.7, filed on Aug. 10, 2021, disclosure of which is hereby incorporated by reference in its entirety.
  • TECHNICAL FIELD
  • This disclosure relates to the field of watch accessories, and more particularly relates to a reversible watch insertion connector.
  • BACKGROUND
  • Nowadays, the watch connectors on the market, especially the connectors adapted to the Apple Watch, are single-sided. That is to say, only one side of the connector is provided with a movable button, so when assembling you need to pay attention to the front and back sides of the connector before it is inserted. Otherwise if it is inserted upside down, it will not be securely fixed to the watch, such that the watch may easily fall off. Therefore, the existing watch connectors have the problem that it is not convenient to use, and may cause certain safety hazards to the use of the watch.
  • SUMMARY
  • The purpose of the disclosure is to solve the above-mentioned problems and shortcomings, and provide a reversible watch insertion connector that can be assembled blindly on both sides, is very convenient to use, and improves the safety of the watch.
  • The technical solution of the disclosure is realized as follows.
  • The reversible watch insertion connector according to this disclosure includes a connector body for connecting a watchband with a dial, where the connector body is slidably inserted into an insertion groove defined in the dial and is clamped and fixed by a position securing slot provided in the insertion groove. Two movable buttons that are operative to move up and down are symmetrically arranged on the connector body, where one movable button is arranged on the upper side and the other is arranged on the lower side. And between the two movable buttons is arranged an elastic expansion member that makes the movable buttons protrude out of the connector body. The two movable buttons are inserted into the insertion groove along with the connector body, and one of the movable buttons is snapped into the position securing slot under the action of the elastic expansion member, so as to realize the connection and fixation of the connector body with the dial.
  • In order to enable the connector body to be easily inserted into the insertion groove of the dial, the left and right sides of each of the movable buttons are each provided with a bevel that is inclined from the inside to the outside and from top to bottom.
  • In order to prevent the movable buttons from moving upward and detaching from the connection with the connector body, a limiting seat is arranged on each of the movable buttons.
  • In order to provide a firm positioning of the elastic expansion member avoid the problem of position deviation, each of the movable buttons is provided with a positioning hole.
  • In order to make this disclosure compact in structure and reliable in use, each of the movable buttons can be movably installed in the respective through hole defined in the connector body.
  • In order to facilitate the installation and removal of the movable buttons and the elastic expansion member, the connector body is provided with an installation slot with an opening defined in the outer side, and the installation slot is communicated with the through holes.
  • In order to prevent the movable buttons from retracting excessively and sinking into the respective through holes, a limit cover is connected in the installation slot. Furthermore, the limit cover includes a cover plate and at least one limit block arranged on the inner side of the cover plate. The cover plate is fitted with the outer opening of the installation slot, and the at least one limit block is inserted into the installation slot to be positioned on the moving path of the movable buttons.
  • In order to facilitate the retracting of the movable buttons and to have a good resetting effect, the elastic expansion member is implemented as a spring or an elastic piece.
  • In order to avoid the problem of an excessively tight or loose assembly due to an excessively small or large tolerance gap between the connector body and the insertion groove, the connector body may be provided with two balance blocks that are symmetrically arranged on the left and right sides of the connector body respectively with the movable buttons as the center of symmetry.
  • Compared with the related art, this disclosure may have the following advantages.
  • This disclosure adopts a structure in which two movable buttons are arranged symmetrically up and down on the connector body, so that both sides of the connector can be fitted with the watch, thus realizing the function of blind insertion on both sides. In this way, there is no need to worry about whether the connector is installed upside down, which greatly improves the convenience of assembly. Even if it is the first try, the assembly can be easily completed, and the safe use of the watch is effectively ensured. In addition, this disclosure has a simple structure, is capable of easy manufacture, and is reliable in use.
  • The disclosure will be explained in further detail below in connection with the accompanying drawings.

  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF ILLUSTRATIVE EMBODIMENTS
  • As illustrated in FIGS. 1-3 , the reversible watch insertion connector according to this disclosure includes a connector body 1 for connecting a watchband and the dial 2. Specifically, the connector body 1 is slidably inserted and connected to an insertion groove 21 defined in the dial 2, and thus they are fixed to each other by a position securing slot (not shown in the drawings) defined in the insertion groove 21. The positioning securing slot is usually defined in the lower side of the insertion groove 21 and located at the middle portion of the connector body 1, and in addition an unlocking button is arranged on the outside of the position securing slot. In this embodiment, two movable buttons 3 that are operative to move up and down are symmetrically arranged on the connector body 1, where one movable button 3 is arranged on the upper side and the other is arranged on the lower side. And between the two movable buttons 3 is arranged an elastic expansion member 4 that makes the movable buttons 3 protrude out of the connector body 1. The two movable buttons 3 are inserted into the insertion groove 21 along with the connector body 1, and one of the movable buttons 3 is snapped into the position securing slot under the action of the elastic expansion member 4, so as to realize the connection and fixation of the connector body 1 with the dial 2. When the connector needs to be detached from the watch, the movable button 3 is retracted by pressing the unlocking button to separate from the connection with the positioning securing slot, and then the connector is pulled out along the insertion direction.
  • Specifically, the connector body 1 is provided with a through hole 11 that penetrates up and down, and at the same time, the connector body 1 is provided with an installation slot 12 that communicates with the through hole 11 and opens to the outside, and the through hole 11 is divided by the installation slot 12 to form upper and lower parts. The upper movable button 3 is inserted into the installation slot 12 from the outer opening of the installation slot 12 and placed at the upper part of the through hole 11, and the lower movable button 3 is inserted into the installation slot 12 from the outer opening of the installation slot 12 and placed at the lower part of the through hole 11. Furthermore, in order to prevent the movable buttons 3 from being completely pushed out of the connector body 1 by the elastic expansion member 4 and thus disconnected from the connector body 1, a limit seat 32 is integrally arranged at the bottom of each of the movable buttons 3. The limit seat 32 is disposed in the installation slot 12 and extends to the outer circumference of the through hole 11, so that when the each of the movable buttons 3 moves outward, the limit seat 32 can be restricted by the respective part of the connector body 1 located on the outer circumference of the through hole 11 to limit its maximum moving distance, which effectively ensures the reliable connection of the movable buckle 3. In addition, a positioning hole 33 is integrally provided in the inner side of each of the movable buttons 3, and the elastic expansion member 4 is placed in the positioning hole 33, so that the elastic expansion member 4 is fixed by the positioning holes 33 to the two movable buttons 3 and thus stably placed between the two movable buttons 3. In this embodiment, the elastic expansion member 4 is a spring, and two such springs are arranged side by side. Therefore, each movable button 3 is provided with two positioning holes 33. In addition, the elastic expansion member 4 may also be an elastic piece. In this case, the elastic piece is inserted into the installation slot 12 and placed on the bottom surface of each of the movable buttons 3, so that the movable buttons 3 can be reset by the elastic piece after being retracted. In order to prevent the movable buttons 3 from retracting excessively and sinking into the through hole 11, a limit cover 5 is connected in the installation slot 12. In this embodiment, the limit cover 5 includes a cover plate 51 and a limit block 52 arranged on the inner side of the cover plate 51, where the cover plate 51 is connected to the outer opening of the installation slot 12, and the limit block 52 is inserted into the installation slot 12 and positioned on the moving path of the movable buttons 3. Since the limit block 52 is arranged on the moving path of the movable buttons 3, when the movable buttons 3 are retracted, their lowest position can be limited by the blockage of the limit block 52, the movable buttons 3 are always in a resettable state, which improves the reliability of the disclosure. In addition, there may be provided two limit blocks 52 symmetrically arranged left and right, so that the movable buttons 3 can be more stable in use. Furthermore, the left and right sides of each of the movable buttons 3 are each provided with a bevel 31 that is inclined from the inside to the outside and from top to bottom. The bevels 31 make the retracting of the movable buttons 3 smoother, which ensures that the connector can be easily inserted into the insertion groove 21 of the dial 2. Since there are bevels 31 on both the left and right sides of each of the movable buttons 3, the connector can be smoothly inserted into the insertion groove 21 regardless of whether it is inserted from left to right or from right to left.
  • In order to avoid the problem of an excessively tight or loose assembly due to an excessively small or large tolerance gap between the connector body 1 and the insertion groove 21, the connector body 1 may be provided with two balance blocks 6 that are symmetrically arranged on the left and right sides of the connector body 1 respectively with the movable buttons 3 as the center of symmetry. Specifically, the connector body 1 is provided with two connecting through holes that penetrate up and down, and the two balance blocks 6 are each placed in a respective connecting through hole and clamped and fixed to the connector body 1. In this embodiment, it is the waist part of each balance block 6 is provided with a clamping slot, and at the same time, a clamping protrusion is correspondingly provided in the connecting through hole, so that the balance block 6 is fixed to the connector body 1 through the snap-fit of the clamping protrusion and the clamping slot. In addition, the upper and lower sides of each of the balance blocks 6 slightly protrude from the surface of the connector body 1. In addition, the balance blocks 6 are made of silicone or other soft materials.
  • In addition, the assembly of the movable buttons 3 and the connector body 1 may also adopt other structural forms. For example, the connector body 1 may be provided with a through hole 11 that penetrates up and down, and the movable buttons 3 and the elastic expansion member 4 are inserted through the opening of the through hole 11, and then a snap cover with a connecting hole in the middle is pushed allowing the movable buttons 3 to pass through the connecting hole so that the snap cover is fixed to the connector body 1, so that the opening area of the through hole 11 is reduced by the snap cover, and so the movable buttons 3 are restricted within the through hole 1. Specifically, an annular groove is provided at the opening of the connector body 1 corresponding to the through hole 11, a positioning hole is provided in the bottom of the annular groove, and a positioning post is correspondingly provided on the snap cover. Thus, the snap cover is fixed to the connector body 1 through the cooperative clamping of the positioning post and the positioning hole. Moreover, the thickness of the snap cover may be the same as the depth of the annular groove, and the shape of the cover surface of the snap cover matches the surface shape of the connector body 1. Moreover, in this embodiment, the elastic expansion member 4 is a spring.
  • The operating principle of this disclosure is as follows. After the connector is moved from the lefts side or right side and inserted into the insertion groove 21 of the dial 2, during the process of sliding along the insertion groove 21, when the corresponding bevels 31 of the movable buttons 3 touch the dial 2 and so are subjected to a force, they will push the movable buttons 3 to squeeze the spring, and the two movable buttons 3 will retract at the same time. When they slide to the position of the position securing slot in the insertion groove 21, the spring pushes the movable button 3 on the lower side outward into the position securing slot, thereby fixing the connector to the watch. Since there are two movable buttons 3 symmetrically arranged, the double-sided blind mating assembly function can be realized.
  • The present disclosure is described by way of the embodiments, which however does not constitute a limitation to the present disclosure. With reference to the description of the present disclosure, other variations of the disclosed embodiments will be easily conceived by those skilled in the art. The changes should fall within the scope defined by the claims of the present disclosure.

Claims (10)

What is claimed is:
1. A reversible watch insertion connector, comprising a connector body configured for connecting a watchband with a dial, wherein the connector body is slidably inserted into an insertion groove defined in the dial to be fixed to the dial, and the connector body is snap-fitted with the dial through a position securing slot provided in the insertion groove, wherein two movable buttons operative to move up and down are symmetrically arranged on an upper side and a lower side of the connector body respectively, and between the two movable buttons is arranged an elastic expansion member that is operative to push the movable buttons to protrude out of the connector body, wherein the two movable buttons are operative to be inserted into the insertion groove along with the connector body and one of the movable buttons is operative to be locked into the position securing slot under the action of the elastic expansion member, so as to realize a connection and fixation of the connector body and the dial.
2. The reversible watch insertion connector as recited in claim 1, wherein left and right sides of each of the movable buttons each comprise a bevel that is inclined from inside to outside and from top to bottom.
3. The reversible watch insertion connector as recited in in claim 1, wherein a limit seat is arranged on each of the movable buttons.
4. The reversible watch insertion connector as recited in in claim 1, wherein each of the movable buttons comprises a positioning hole.
5. The reversible watch insertion connector as recited in in claim 1, wherein the two movable buttons are movably installed and are operative to move up and down within a through hole defined in the connector body.
6. The reversible watch insertion connector as recited in claim 5, wherein the connector body comprises an installation slot with an outer opening, and wherein the installation slot is in communication with the through hole.
7. The reversible watch insertion connector as recited in claim 6, wherein a limit cover is connected in the installation slot.
8. The reversible watch insertion connector as recited in claim 7, wherein the limit cover comprises a cover plate and a limit block arranged on an inner side of the cover plate, wherein the cover plate is fitted with the outer opening of the installation slot, and the limit block is inserted into the installation slot and is positioned on a moving path of the movable buttons.
9. The reversible watch insertion connector as recited in claim 1, wherein the elastic expansion member is a spring or an elastic piece.
10. The reversible watch insertion connector as recited in claim 1, wherein the connector body comprises two balance blocks that are symmetrically arranged on a left and a right side of the movable buttons on the connector body with the movable buttons as a center of symmetry.
