  • Hemp is a source of fiber that comes from the plant species Cannabis sativa. Hemp can be produced much faster than trees. Hemp stalks grow in four months, whereas trees can take twenty to eighty years. One acre of hemp can yield 1,300 pounds of fiber and produce as much paper as four to ten acres of trees over a twenty year cycle. Unlike trees, hemp plants can be grown without using any pesticides or herbicides. The wider use of hemp plants can reduce deforestation.

    RELATED APPLICATIONS
  • This application is a continuation-in-part of U.S. application Ser. No.. 17/868,669 filed Jul. 19, 2022 which is a continuation-in-part of U.S. application Ser. No. 17/855,536 filed Jun. 30, 2022, which claims benefit and priority to U.S. provisional application Ser. No. 63/224,320 filed Jul. 21, 2021
  • FIELD OF THE INVENTION
  • The use of hemp paper to manufacture paper sleeves and other devices made from hemp for holding cups.
  • BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
  • In the food service industry, consumers appreciate disposables that can be stored compactly and readied for use quickly. Food establishments serve hot and cold beverages and soups. It is desirable to use an insulating holder sleeve or collar which can slip over the outside of a beverage cup or soup container when the cup or container contains hot liquids. In addition, it is desirable to use a tray to hold or carry multiple beverage cups or containers.
  • Hemp is a source of fiber that comes from the plant species Cannabis sativa. Hemp can be produced much faster than trees. Hemp stalks grow in four months, whereas trees can take twenty to eighty years. One acre of hemp can yield 1,300 pounds of fiber and produce as much paper as four to ten acres of trees over a twenty year cycle. Unlike trees, hemp plants can be grown without using any pesticides or herbicides. The wider use of hemp plants can reduce deforestation.
  • The hemp-growing industry is regulated throughout the United States. Recent regulations have sought to encourage this nascent industry as biodegradable hemp raw materials can be turned into biodegradable hemp-based products. Biodegradable hemp products break down in approximately 90 days versus the dozens of years it takes petroleum-based plastics to break down into microplastics that frequently end up in the ocean.
  • Hemp plant stalks have two parts. The bast fibers, or outer part of the stalk have a grassy texture and typically contain almost 80% cellulose. The hurd, or inner part of the stalk, has a woody core made up of cellulose-laden bundles of short fiber. The process of separating the bast fiber from the hurd fiber is called decortication. To facilitate decortication, dew retting or water retting is typically done first. Retting uses bacteria and moisture to dissolve away the gummy substances that surround bast fiber bundles.
  • Hemp paper is a plant based, non-toxic, sustainable alternative to conventional paper made from trees. Hemp paper is primarily made from the bast fibers of hemp plants. Hemp paper has a low lignin and high cellulose content. Hemp paper does not age or discolor with time. The quality of hemp paper is better than that of paper made from the wood pulp of trees. Hemp paper is thin, and lightweight, with a high degree of stiffness. Hemp paper is tough, brittle and rough. Wood pulp paper is softer and thicker than hemp paper. Hemp paper is more difficult to make and is stronger than wood pulp paper. Hemp paper can be recycled up to eight times, compared to just three times for paper made from wood pulp.
  • U.S. Pat. No. 5,080,702 relates to a disposable two-ply filter for a vacuum cleaner bag, wherein the outer ply may be wood paper, hemp paper or any other filter paper, cloth or fabric well known in the art.
  • U.S. Pat. No. 5,700,599 relates to a high absorption rate battery separator of a non-woven cellulosic substrate coated on at least one surface with a cellulosic film and a process for making such separator by contacting a nonwoven cellulosic textile substrate with a cellulose or cellulose derivative solution on at least one side of the substrate. Preferred nonwovens are paper webs such as hemp paper bonded with hydrogen bonds, cellulose or food grade binders.
  • U.S. Pat. No. 7,537,514 relates to a double casing with netting for food products, wherein the material of the tube comprises a combination of materials selected from the group consisting of edible collagen of bovine or porcine origin, inedible collagen, regenerated collagen, regenerated or fibrous collagen, plastic material, hemp paper, any type of paper, and a polysaccharide.
  • U.S. Pat. No. 7,666,484 relates to a ready to use food packaging film, wherein in one embodiment the film is made out of hemp paper.
  • U.S. Pat. No. 5,744,251 relates to a cellulosic composition and article. Fibrous casing made in the casing industry is produced by coating regenerated cellulose onto a sheet or tube of hemp paper.
  • US patent publication 20190280135 relates to a room temperature printing method for producing a PV layer sequence. The process is characterized in that the carrier used for the PV layer sequence comprises continuous, flat sheets of material, preferably sheets of film and/or sheets of paper, more preferably sheets of hemp paper. Hemp offers the advantage that it can be manufactured in a sulfate-free manner; provided with additional moisture inhibitor and/or biocide, such as hemp paper can advantageously withstand high temperatures without yellowing or significant mechanical degradation or any decline in its properties.
  • U.S. Pat. No. 5,425,497 relates to a flat, elongated sheet or band in arcuate form with notched ends being made of paperboard material embossed with nubs and semi-spherically shaped depressions to provide an insulating layer as well as gripping of the sides of the cup. For holding a cup, the flat band is rolled in a circle and then its notched ends must be interlocked to each other to form a sleeve in which a cup can be inserted. The need to interlock the notched ends on-site risks possible breakage or improper assembly.
  • SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
  • The present invention relates to paper sleeves and other devices made from hemp for holding beverage cups or soup containers. The definition of cups includes paper beverage cups and paper soup containers, and insulated, coated versions of the cups and containers. The definition of hemp paper includes machine made hemp paper.
  • The present invention relates to a paper sleeve for holding cups of hot liquids such as coffee, tea or soup where the paper sleeve is comprised of hemp paper made from one hundred percent hemp. The present invention relates to a paper sleeve for holding cups of hot liquids such as coffee, tea, hot chocolate or soup where the paper sleeve is comprised of hemp paper made from one to twenty five percent hemp. The present invention relates to a paper sleeve for holding cups of hot liquids such as coffee, tea, hot chocolate or soup where the paper sleeve is comprised of hemp paper made from twenty five to fifty percent hemp. The present invention relates to a paper sleeve for holding cups of hot liquids such as coffee, tea or soup where the paper sleeve is comprised of hemp paper made from fifty to seventy-five percent hemp. The present invention relates to a paper sleeve for holding cups of hot liquids such as coffee, tea or soup where the paper sleeve is comprised of hemp paper made from seventy-five to one hundred percent hemp. It is an object of the present invention for the remaining percentage of the paper that is not hemp paper to be made of post-consumer waste recycled content wood pulp. It is an object of the present invention for the remaining percentage of paper that is not hemp paper to be made of post-industrial recycled content wood pulp. It is an object of the present invention for the remaining percentage of paper that is not hemp paper to be made of virgin wood pulp. It is art object of the present invention for the remaining percentage of paper that is not hemp paper to be made from any combination of post-consumer waste recycled content wood pulp, post-industrial recycled content wood pulp and virgin wood pulp.
  • It is an object of the present invention for the hemp paper to have a hurd content of less than 15%. It is an object of the present invention for the hemp paper to have a hurd content of less than 10%. It is an object of the present invention for the hemp paper to have a hurd content of less than 5%. It is an object of the present invention for the hemp paper that is not made from the hurd of the hemp stalk to be made from the bast fiber of the hemp stalk. It is an object of the present invention for hemp paper to be made from some combination of hemp hurd, hemp bast fiber, post-consumer recycled content wood pulp and post-industrial recycled content wood pulp. It is an object of the present invention for hemp paper to be made from some combination of hemp hurd, hemp bast fiber, post-consumer recycled content wood pulp, post-industrial recycled content wood pulp, preservatives, chemicals and additives. It is an object of the present invention to use as low a hurd content percentage as possible to increase the strength of hemp paper. It is an object of the present invention to make hemp paper without using any clay, fillers, chemicals or additives. It is an object of the present invention for the hemp paper to comprise clay, fillers, chemicals or additives.
  • It Is an object of the present invention to harvest hemp plants to make hemp paper. It is an object of the present invention to genetically modify hemp plants so that they do not comprise THC or CBD compounds. It is an object of the present invention to harvest genetically modified hemp plants that do not comprise THC or CBD compounds and make hemp paper from those plants.
  • Tensile strength refers to the maximum stress needed to break a strip of paper sheet. Tensile strength is measured in two directionsā€”machine direction, commonly abbreviated as MD, and cross direction, commonly abbreviated as CD. Cross direction is also referred to as transverse direction, commonly abbreviated as TD. MD means the direction that the paper web runs on a paper machine, while CD means the direction perpendicular to MD. It is an object of the present invention that hemp paper have a tensile MD strength ranging from five pounds to two hundred pounds per inch, preferably from twenty pounds to one hundred pounds per inch. It is an object of the present invention that hemp paper have a tensile CD strength ranging from five pounds to two hundred pounds per inch, preferably from twenty pounds to one hundred pounds per inch. It is an object of the present invention that hemp paper have a MD strength greater than CD strength. It is an object of the present invention that hemp paper have a MD strength greater than or equal to CD strength.
  • Elongation percentage refers to the stretch required to rupture a paper sheet. Elongation percentage is measured in two directionsā€”machine direction, commonly abbreviated as MD, and cross direction, commonly abbreviated as CD. It is an object of the present invention that hemp paper have an elongation MD percentage ranging from one half to twenty pounds per inch, preferably from two pounds to ten pounds per inch. It is an object of the present invention that hemp paper have an elongation CD percentage ranging from one half pound to twenty pounds per inch, preferably from two pounds to ten pounds per inch. It is an object of the present invention that hemp paper has more stretch built into it in both MD and CD directions than wood pulp paper. It is an object of the present invention that the greater MD and CD stretch percentages allow hemp paper to fold without the risk of cracking.
  • It is an object of the present invention that hemp paper be treated or coated with AKD sizing, a wax derivative, It is an object of the present invention to use AKD sizing as a preventative measure to reduce the level of curling in the hemp paper sleeves so that the hemp paper sleeve will lay flat on a surface.
  • It is an object of the present invention that E-flute corrugated cardboard comprise hemp paper. It is an object of the present invention that E-flute corrugated cardboard comprised of hemp paper have a flute height ranging from one thirty second to one eighth of an inch and have between eighty five flutes to one hundred flutes per linear foot.
  • It is an object of the present invention that F-flute corrugated cardboard comprise hemp paper. It is an object of the present invention that F-flute corrugated cardboard comprised of hemp paper have a flute height ranging from one sixty fourth to one eighth of an inch and have between one hundred twenty flutes to one hundred thirty five flutes per linear foot.
  • The present invention relates to single face board packaging used in the manufacturing of paper sleeves to hold cups of hot liquids such as coffee, tea or soup. Single face board packaging has only two layers, a linerboard layer and a corrugated or fluted layer. It is an object of the present invention for single face board packaging to comprise hemp paper. It is an object of the present invention for the linerboard layer to comprise hemp paper. It is an object of the present invention for the corrugated or fluted layer to comprise hemp paper. It is an object of the present invention for single face board packaging comprised of hemp paper to be used as a paper sleeve for holding cups of hot liquids such as coffee, tea or soup. It is an object of the present invention to use E-flute or F-flute as the fluted layer in single face board packaging for hemp paper sleeves.
  • It is an object of the present invention to use the exposed hemp fluting in the hemp paper sleeve to allow air to flow between the hemp paper sleeve and the hot cup. It is an object of the present invention to allow air to flow between the hemp paper sleeve and the hot cup to lower the temperature between the hot cup and a person's hand. It is an object of the present invention to allow air to flow between the hemp paper sleeve and the hot cup to reduce humidity and keep the hemp paper sleeve from getting moist and soft.
  • It is an object of the present invention for the hemp fluting in the hemp paper sleeve to be patterned in a horizontal, vertical, or angular direction. It is an object of the present invention for the hemp fluting in the hemp paper sleeve to be in a horizontal direction of straight lines that run from left to right or right to left on the paper sleeve. It is an object of the present invention for the hemp fluting on the hemp paper sleeve to be in a vertical direction of straight lines that run from the top to the bottom of the paper sleeve. It is an object of the present invention for the hemp fluting in the hemp paper sleeve to run in an angular direction from the top to the bottom, left to right or right to left on the paper sleeve.
  • It is an object of the present invention for the hemp fluting on the hemp paper sleeve to be located on the inside of the paper sleeve, with the hemp linerboard on the outside of the paper sleeve, said hemp fluting placed against the cup. It is an object of the present invention for the hemp fluting on the hemp paper sleeve to be located on both the inside and outside of the paper sleeve, the hemp fluting placed against the cup. It is an object of the present invention for the hemp fluting on the hemp paper sleeve to be located on the outside of the paper sleeve, with the hemp linerboard side placed against the cup.
  • It is an object of the present invention to use a repeating, raised embossed design on the hemp paper sleeve as a substitute for hemp fluting on the paper sleeve. It is an object of the present invention for the repeating, raised embossed design to be located on the inside of the hemp paper sleeve, with the hemp linerboard on the outside of the hemp paper sleeve and with the repeating, raised embossed design placed against the cup. It is an object of the present invention for the repeating, raised embossed design to be located on both the outside and inside of the hemp paper sleeve.
  • It is an object of the present invention for the hemp paper sleeve to have a heat-activated adhesive that sticks to the cup when the paper sleeve is attached to the cup.
  • It is an object of the present invention for the hemp paper sleeve to be made from any combination of post-consumer waste recycled content wood pulp, post-industrial recycled content wood pulp and virgin wood pulp.
  • In an embodiment of the present invention, the hemp paper sleeve has a wide face and a seamless construction, which provides an excellent surface area to accept all types of graphics on the hemp paper linerboard of the sleeve.
  • It is an object of the present invention for the hemp paper linerboard on the sleeve to be printable, allowing for ink and graphics to be attached to the sleeve. It is an object of the present invention for the hemp paper sleeve to be printable with water-soluble inks. It is an object of the present invention for the hemp paper sleeve to be printable with non-water-soluble inks. It is an object of the present invention for the hemp paper sleeve to be printable with inks certified as food safe. It is an object of the present invention for the hemp paper sleeve to comprise flexographic printed graphics or text, digitally printed graphics or text, post-printed graphics or text, or pre-printed graphics or text. It is an object of the present invention for the hemp paper sleeve to have coupons, bar codes, or QR codes printed on the sleeve. It is an object of the present invention to use printed information on the hemp paper sleeve such as bar codes to track sales of cups to which the hemp paper sleeve is attached.
  • It is an object of the present invention for a hemp paper sleeve to contain printed social messaging. It is an object of the present invention to use printed information on the hemp paper sleeve to track the impact of social messaging on sales of the cups to which the sleeves are attached.
  • It is an object of the present invention for the hemp paper sleeve to have an advertisement printed on it. It is an object of the present invention that the hemp paper sleeve be used as an advertising vehicle to communicate messages, coupons or contests to customers.
  • The present invention relates to a method that comprises using a separate digital printing system to pre-print single or multiple color graphics and/or text on rolls of hemp paper linerboards used to make hemp paper sleeves. It is an object of the present invention for the method to comprise using a separate digital printing system to pre-print on rolls of hemp paper linerboards prior to the linerboards being cut before they are attached to hemp paper fluting to create hemp paper sleeves. It is an object of the present invention for the ink or toner to form a thin layer on the surface of the hemp paper. It is an object of the present invention for the ink or toner to be adhered to the hemp paper by using some combination of fuser fluid, heat or UV curing.
  • The present invention relates to a method that comprises using a digital printing system to post-print single or multiple color graphics and/or text on hemp paper sleeves. It is an object of the present invention for the method to comprise taking unassembled (defined as unfolded and unglued) hemp paper sleeves already separately produced on a machine and feeding the paper sleeves to a separate digital printing system.
  • It is an object of the present invention for the method to comprise the digital printing system depositing ink or toner onto the linerboard of the paper sleeve comprised of hemp paper to form an image. It is an object of the present invention for the ink or toner to form a thin layer on the surface of the paper sleeve comprised of hemp paper. It is an object of the present invention for the ink or toner to be adhered to the paper sleeve comprised of hemp paper by using some combination of fuser fluid, heat, or UV curing.
  • It is an object of the present invention to have a digital printing system to use inkjet printing featuring Piezo print heads to achieve photo quality printing onto hemp paper sleeves.
  • It is an object of the present invention for the hemp paper sleeve designed to hold cups of hot liquids such as coffee, tea or soup to be sized to fit around an eight ounce beverage cup. It is an object of the present invention for the hemp paper sleeve designed to hold cups of hot liquids such as coffee, tea or soup to be sized in a way that the same size fits around a ten ounce, twelve ounce, sixteen ounce or twenty ounce beverage cup. It is an object of the present invention for the hemp paper sleeve designed to hold cups of hot liquids such as coffee, tea or soup to be sized to fit around an eight ounce, ten ounce, twelve ounce, sixteen ounce or twenty ounce beverage cup. It is an object of the present invention for the hemp paper sleeve designed to hold cups of hot liquids such as soup to be sized to fit around a half pint, pint, half quart and quart container.
  • It is an object of the present invention that hemp paper sleeves be brown in color, commonly called unbleached or kraft. It is an object of the present invention that hemp paper sleeves be white in color, commonly called bleached. It is an object of the present invention for the hemp paper sleeve to be comprised of bleached hemp paper. It is an object of the present invention for the hemp paper to be whitened with hydrogen peroxide during the bleaching process. It is an object of the present invention for the hemp paper sleeve to be comprised of unbleached hemp paper. It is an object of the present invention for the hemp paper sleeve to be of a color other than white or brown. It is an object of the present invention to use non-toxic bleaching to whiten hemp paper. It is an object of the present invention that hemp paper used to make paper sleeves be bleached, unbleached or of a color other than white or brown, said hemp paper sleeve designed to hold cups of hot liquids such as coffee, tea or soup.
  • It is an object of the present invention for an unassembled (unfolded and unglued) hemp paper sleeve to measure between seven inches and sixteen inches in length, preferably between eight inches and twelve inches in length. It is an object of the present invention for a fully assembled (defined as folded and glued) hemp paper sleeve to measure between three inches and seven inches in length, preferably between four inches and six inches in length. It is an object of the present invention for a hemp paper sleeve to measure between one inch and four inches in width, preferably between one and a half inches and three inches in width. It is an object of the present invention for a fully assembled hemp paper sleeve to fit snugly around a cup.
  • The present invention relates to a hemp paper tray used to carry drinks and food. The definition of tray includes paper trays made from molded fiber packaging and trays made from cardboard, the trays used to carry drinks and food. It is an object of the present invention that molded fiber hemp paper trays are more rigid and sturdier than hemp paper cardboard trays. It is an object of the present invention that the hemp paper tray is comprised of hemp paper made from one hundred percent hemp. It is an object of the present invention that the hemp paper tray is comprised of hemp paper made from one to twenty five percent hemp. It is an object of the present invention that the hemp paper tray is comprised of hemp paper made from twenty five to fifty percent hemp. It is an object of the present invention that the hemp paper tray is comprised of hemp paper made from fifty to seventy-five percent hemp. It is an object of the present invention that the hemp paper tray is comprised of hemp paper made from seventy-five to one hundred percent hemp. It is an object of the present invention for the remaining percentage of the tray that does not comprise hemp paper to be made of post-consumer waste recycled content wood pulp. It is an object of the present invention for the remaining percentage of the tray that does not comprise hemp paper to be made of post-industrial recycled content wood pulp. It is an object of the present invention for the remaining percentage of the tray that does not comprise hemp paper to be made of virgin wood pulp. It is an object of the present invention for the remaining percentage of the tray that does not comprise hemp paper to be made from any combination of post-consumer waste recycled content wood pulp, post-industrial recycled content wood pulp and virgin wood pulp.
  • It is an object of the present invention for a hemp paper tray to be rectangular, circular or square shaped.
  • It is an object of the present invention for a hemp paper tray to hold a maximum of four beverage cups. It is an object of the present invention for a hemp paper tray to comprise handles.
  • It is an object of the present invention for the hemp paper tray to be printable, allowing for ink and graphics to be attached to the tray. It is an object of the present invention for the hemp paper tray to be printable with water-soluble inks. It is an object of the present invention for the hemp paper tray to be printable with non-water-soluble inks. It is an object of the present invention for the hemp paper tray to be printable with inks certified as food safe. It is an object of the present invention for the hemp paper tray to comprise flexographic printed graphics or text, digitally printed graphics or text, post-printed graphics or text, or pre-printed graphics or text. It is an object of the present invention for the hemp paper tray to have coupons, bar codes, or QR codes printed on the tray.
  • It is an object of the present invention for the hemp paper tray to have an advertisement printed on it. It is an object of the present invention that the hemp paper tray be used as an advertising vehicle to communicate messages, coupons or contests to customers.
  • It is an object of the present invention for the hemp paper cardboard trays to comprise compartments instead of rounded slots to hold beverage cups. It is an object of the present invention for the hemp paper cardboard trays to comprise an upright handle. It is an object of the present invention for the hemp paper cardboard trays to comprise a side handle or hand gripping area.
  • It is an object of the present invention for the hemp paper cardboard tray to accept all types of printed graphics on the flat surface areas of the tray, including the sides and bottom.
  • It is an object of the present invention for a molded tray comprised of hemp paper to measure between five inches and eighteen inches in length, preferably between seven inches and twelve inches. It is an object of the present invention for a molded tray comprised of hemp paper to measure between six inches and fourteen inches in width, preferably between seven inches and twelve inches.
  • It is an object of the present invention for a molded hemp paper tray to have multiple rounded slots to hold beverage cups or containers of different sizes. It is an object of the present invention for a molded hemp paper tray to have multiple rounded slots, the rounded slots extending below the top edge of the tray so that cups can be seated in the slots, reducing the amount of liquid spillage from the cups. It is an object of the present invention for a molded hemp paper tray to have a flat surface area to hold objects or food other than cups.
  • It is an object of the present invention for the hemp paper sleeve or tray be recyclable. It is an object of the present invention for the hemp paper sleeve or tray be curbside recyclable.
  • The present invention relates to a hemp paper sleeve or tray that is more environmentally friendly than a sleeve or tray made from virgin paper or even paper made with recycled content. It is an object of the present invention for the hemp paper sleeve or tray to be toxin free. It is an object of the present invention for the hemp paper sleeve or tray to be chlorine free. It is an object of the present invention for the hemp paper sleeve or tray to not include BPAs (bisphenol A), Lead, Phthalates, and PFAs (perfluoroalkoxy alkanes). It is an object of the present invention for the hemp paper sleeve or tray to be biodegradable. It is an object of the present invention for the hemp paper sleeve or tray to be compostable. Claims (54)

1. A paper sleeve comprised of hemp paper for holding hot liquids.
2. The paper sleeve of claim 1 wherein said hot liquid comprises coffee, tea, hot chocolate or soup.
3. The paper sleeve of claim 1 wherein said paper sleeve is insulated.
4. The paper sleeve of clam 1 wherein said hemp paper is one hundred percent hemp.
5. The paper sleeve of claim 1 wherein said hemp paper is comprised of from one to twenty five percent hemp.
6. The paper sleeve of claim 1 wherein said hemp paper is comprised of from twenty five to fifty percent hemp.
7. The paper sleeve of claim 1 wherein said hemp paper is comprised of from fifty to seventy-five percent hemp.
8. The paper sleeve of claim 1 wherein said hemp paper is comprised of from seventy-five to one hundred percent hemp.
9. The paper sleeve of claim 1 wherein remaining percentage of paper that is not hemp paper comprises any combination of post-consumer waste recycled content wood pulp, post-industrial recycled content wood pulp and virgin wood pulp.
10. The paper sleeve of claim 1 wherein said hemp paper has a hurd content of less than 15%.
11. The paper sleeve of claim 1 wherein said hemp paper has a hurd content of less than 10%.
12. The paper sleeve of claim 1 wherein said hemp paper has a hurd content of less than 5%.
13. The paper sleeve of claim 1 wherein said hemp paper not made from said hurd is made from bast fiber.
14. The paper sleeve of claim 1 wherein said hemp paper comprises some combination of hemp hurd, hemp bast fiber, post-consumer recycled content wood pulp and post-industrial recycled content wood pulp.
15. The paper sleeve of claim 1 wherein said hemp paper has a tensile MD strength ranging from five pounds to two hundred pounds per inch and a tensile CD strength ranging from five pounds to two hundred pounds per inch.
16. The paper sleeve of claim 1 wherein said hemp paper has an elongation MD percentage ranging from one half to twenty pounds per inch and an elongation CD percentage ranging from one half pound to twenty pounds per inch.
17. The paper sleeve of claim 1 wherein said hemp paper is treated or coated with AKD sizing.
18. The paper sleeve of claim 1 wherein said paper sleeve comprises fluting.
19. The paper sleeve of claim 1 wherein said paper sleeve has fluting on an external side or on both an internal and external side.
20. The paper sleeve of claim 19 wherein said fluting is patterned in a horizontal, vertical or angular direction,
21. The paper sleeve of claim 1 wherein said paper sleeve is embossed on an external side or on both an internal and external side.
22. The paper sleeve of claim 1 wherein said sleeve has a heat-activated adhesive that sticks to cup when paper sleeve is attached to said cup.
23. The paper sleeve of claim 1 wherein said sleeve has a wide face and seamless construction, providing a surface area to accept graphics.
24. The paper sleeve of claim 1 wherein same paper sleeve fits around an eight ounce, ten ounce, twelve ounce, sixteen ounce or twenty ounce cup.
25. The paper sleeve of claim 1 wherein said hemp paper sleeve is unbleached.
26. The paper sleeve of claim 1 wherein said hemp paper sleeve is bleached.
27. The paper sleeve of claim 1 wherein said paper sleeve measures between seven inches and sixteen inches in length,
28. The paper sleeve of claim 1 wherein a fully assembled paper sleeve measures between three inches and seven inches in length and between one inch and four inches in width.
29. The paper sleeve of claim 1 wherein said paper sleeve is recyclable, curbside recyclable, biodegradable or compostable.
30. The paper sleeve of claim 1 wherein said paper sleeve has some combination of the following environmentally friendly features: chlorine free, toxin free, BPA free, lead free, phthalates free or PFA free.
31. The paper sleeve of claim 1 wherein said sleeve has an outside surface having graphics and an inside surface having fluting.
32. The paper sleeve of claim 31 wherein said sleeve has a closure mechanism.
33. The paper sleeve of claim 1 wherein said sleeve has embossment on inside surface, outside surface or both inside surface and outside surface.
34. The paper sleeve of claim 33 further comprising a closure mechanism.
35. A single face board packaging for paper sleeves to hold cups and containers of hot liquids comprising:
a linerboard layer and a corrugated or fluted layer;
said single face board packaging comprising hemp paper.
36. The single face board packaging of claim 35 wherein said fluting layer is either an E-flute or F-flute.
37. A tray comprised of hemp paper for carrying drinks and food;
said trays being molded fiber packaging or made from cardboard, both comprised of hemp paper.
38. The tray of claim 37 wherein said hemp paper is made from one hundred percent hemp.
39. The tray of claim 37 wherein said hemp paper is comprised of from one to twenty five percent hemp.
40. The tray of claim 37 wherein said hemp paper is comprised of from twenty five to fifty percent hemp.
41. The tray of claim 37 wherein said hemp paper is comprised of from fifty to seventy-five percent hemp.
42. The tray of claim 37 wherein said hemp paper is comprised of from seventy-five to one hundred percent hemp.
43. The tray of claim 37 wherein remaining percentage of said tray that does not comprise said hemp paper comprises any combination of post-consumer waste recycled content wood pulp, post-industrial recycled content wood pulp and virgin wood pulp.
44. The tray of claim 37 wherein said tray is a molded tray measuring between five inches and eighteen inches in length and six inches and fourteen inches in width.
45. The tray of claim 37 wherein said try is a molded hemp paper tray having multiple rounded slots to hold cups or containers of different sizes.
46. The tray of claim 45 wherein said rounded slots extend below top edge of said tray so cups can be seated in said slots.
47. The tray of claim 45 further comprising a flat surface area to hold objects or food other than cups.
48. The tray of claim 37 wherein said tray further comprises handles.
49. The tray of claim 37 further comprising compartments to hold cups.
50. The tray of claim 37 wherein said cardboard tray accepts all types of printed graphics on the flat surface areas of said tray, including sides and bottom.
51. The tray of claim 37 wherein said tray is recyclable, curbside recyclable, biodegradable or compostable.
52. The tray of claim 37 wherein said tray has some combination of the following environmentally friendly features: chlorine free, toxin free, BPA free, lead free, Phthalates free, PFA free.
53. The tray of claim 37 wherein said cardboard tray has an internal side having a die cut handle.
54. The tray of claim 37 wherein said cardboard tray has two extended sides that have die cut handles.
