  • The objects of the disclosure, along with the various features of novelty which characterize the disclosure, are pointed out with particularity in the claims annexed to and forming a part of this disclosure.
  • BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF SEVERAL VIEWS OF THE DRAWING(S)
  • The disclosure will be better understood and objects other than those set forth above will become apparent when consideration is given to the following detailed description thereof. Such description makes reference to the annexed drawings wherein:
  • FIG. 1 is an isometric view of a dull bottle pour spout apparatus according to an embodiment of the disclosure.
  • FIG. 2 is an exploded isometric view of an embodiment of the disclosure.
  • FIG. 3 is a bottom plan view of an embodiment of the disclosure.
  • FIG. 4 is a rear elevation view of an embodiment of the disclosure.
  • FIG. 5 is a front elevation view of an embodiment of the disclosure.
  • FIG. 6 is a cross-sectional view of an embodiment of the disclosure along the line 6-6 of FIG. 4 .
  • FIG. 7 is an in-use view of an embodiment of the disclosure.
  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
  • With reference now to the drawings, and in particular to FIGS. 1 through 7 thereof, a new bottle pour spout device embodying the principles and concepts of an embodiment of the disclosure and generally designated by the reference numeral 10 will be described.
  • As best illustrated in FIGS. 1 through 7 , the dull bottle pour spout apparatus 10 generally comprises a plug core 12 having a core top 14, a core sidewall 16, and a core bottom 18. The plug core 12 has a core aperture 20 extending from the core top 14 through the core bottom 18. The core aperture 20 may have a wider base portion 22 adjacent the core bottom 18 to improve fluid flow. The core sidewall 16 is configured to be sealingly inserted into a bottle neck 24 of a bottle 26. The plug core 12 may have a plurality of ribs 28 radially extending from the core sidewall 16. The diameter of each rib 28 of the plurality of ribs may taper smaller towards the core bottom 18 to progressively seal tighter as the plug core 12 is inserted deeper into the bottle neck 24. The plug core 12 may be an elastically deformable rubberized material such as, but not limited to, silicone in order to create a watertight seal with the bottle neck 24.
  • A plug top 30 is coupled to the plug core 12. The plug top 30 is coupled to the core top 14 and has a diameter greater than the plug core 12. The plug top 30 has a top aperture 32 aligned with the core aperture 20. The plug top 30 is configured to rest on top of the bottle neck 24 of the bottle. The plug top 30 may be a more rigid material than the plug core 12 in order to not deform when pressed against the bottle 26.
  • A spout cap 34 has a cap top side 36, a cap bottom side 38, and a cap aperture 40 extending from the cap top side 36 through the cap bottom side 38. The cap aperture 40 aligns with the core aperture 20. The diameter of the spout cap 34 is greater than the diameter of the plug top 30 to allow for easier applied force to cause separation when desired.
  • A spout bottom 42 is coupled to the spout cap 34. The spout bottom 42 is selectively engageable with the plug core 12 and the plug top 30. The spout bottom 42 extends from above the plug top 30 through the top aperture 32 and into the core aperture 20 to adjacent the base portion 22.
  • A spout top 44 is coupled to the spout bottom 42. The spout top 44 has a spout sidewall 46 and a spout perimeter 48. The spout top 44 may be arcuate and may taper thinner towards the spout perimeter 48. The spout perimeter 48 is sufficiently dull so as to be incapable of cutting human skin. The spout top 44 is elastically deformable under blunt force to avoid injury yet sufficiently rigid for accurate pouring. The spout top 44 may thus be a firm yet elastically deformable rubberized material such as, but not limited to, silicone and the like.
  • A ventilation tube 50 is coupled to the spout bottom 42 and the spout top 44. The spout bottom 42 and the spout top 44 may have a depressed tube channel 52 with the ventilation tube 50 coupled within the tube channel 52. The ventilation tube 50 extends from above the plug top 30 through the top aperture 32 and through the core aperture 20 to below the core bottom 18. The tube channel 52 may have a wider ventilation mouth portion 54 extending into the spout sidewall 46 around a tube top end 56 of the ventilation tube. A tube bottom end 58 is configured to extend deep enough into the bottle neck 24 to access air during pouring to allow for a smoother pour.
  • In use, the plug core 12 is inserted into the bottle neck 24 until the plug top 30 contacts the bottle 26. The apparatus 10 is then used as a traditional pour spout. When accidently hit with strong force the spout top 44 bends to avoid causing injury to the user.
  • With respect to the above description then, it is to be realized that the optimum dimensional relationships for the parts of an embodiment enabled by the disclosure, to include variations in size, materials, shape, form, function and manner of operation, assembly and use, are deemed readily apparent and obvious to one skilled in the art, and all equivalent relationships to those illustrated in the drawings and described in the specification are intended to be encompassed by an embodiment of the disclosure.
  • Therefore, the foregoing is considered as illustrative only of the principles of the disclosure. Further, since numerous modifications and changes will readily occur to those skilled in the art, it is not desired to limit the disclosure to the exact construction and operation shown and described, and accordingly, all suitable modifications and equivalents may be resorted to, falling within the scope of the disclosure. In this patent document, the word “comprising” is used in its non-limiting sense to mean that items following the word are included, but items not specifically mentioned are not excluded. A reference to an element by the indefinite article “a” does not exclude the possibility that more than one of the element is present, unless the context clearly requires that there be only one of the elements.
