Abstract

Proposed is a whole body-shaped striking dummy including joints. The elastic joints of the manikin have reliable ranges of elastic movement in front-rear and right-left directions. Accordingly, the whole body-shaped striking dummy is used in martial arts training, such as Taekwondo, in the same manner as a real human body, thereby improving the efficiency of striking training.

Description

    CROSS REFERENCE TO RELATED APPLICATION
  • The present application claims priority to Korean Patent Application No. 10-2021-0061147, filed on May 12, 2021, the entire contents of which is incorporated herein for all purposes by this reference.
  • BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION Field of the Invention
  • The present disclosure relates to a whole body-shaped striking dummy including joints. More particularly, the present disclosure relates to a whole body-shaped striking dummy in which a human-sized manikin is realized using elastic joints including an elastic neck joint, an elastic waist joint, and elastic thigh joints and is configured to be supported on a floor using a rear support pivotably provided on the rear end of the manikin. The elastic joints of the manikin may have reliable ranges of elastic movement in front-rear and right-left directions. Accordingly, the whole body-shaped striking dummy may be used in martial arts training, such as Taekwondo, in the same manner as a real human body, thereby improving the efficiency of striking training.
  • Description of the Related Art
  • Recently, with increasing interest in health care, there is increasing interest in not only a variety of sports and leisure activities but also fitness equipment with which indoor and outdoor exercises may be performed.
  • In addition, busy modern people who frequency lack time are increasingly interested in exercise equipment enabling convenient indoor exercise, and may exercise using such exercise equipment.
  • Accordingly, various types of exercise equipment enabling people to conveniently exercise indoors have been developed and proposed.
  • Among such various types of exercise equipment, striking dummies have been used by martial artists who train punching, kicking, and the like. A typical striking dummy of the related art is fixed to a predetermined position, and users perform exercises by repeatedly striking the related-art striking dummy.
  • However, when the related-art striking dummy is struck strongly, the related-art striking dummy may not return to the original position. Thus, the user must return the striking dummy to the original position to resume striking training. In some cases, the striking dummy may be damaged.
  • In addition, in the related art, a whole body-shaped striking dummy including joints in which a human-sized and human-shaped manikin may be elastically and reliably supported using elastic joints has not yet been proposed.
  • The foregoing is intended merely to aid in the understanding of the background of the present disclosure, and is not intended to mean that the present disclosure falls within the purview of the related art that is already known to those skilled in the art.
  • SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
  • Accordingly, the present disclosure has been made keeping in mind the above problems occurring in the related art, and the present disclosure is intended to propose a whole body-shaped striking dummy including joints in which a human-sized manikin is realized using elastic joints including an elastic neck joint, an elastic waist joint, and elastic thigh joints and is configured to be supported on a floor using a rear support pivotably provided on the rear end of the manikin. The elastic joints of the manikin may have reliable ranges of elastic movement in front-rear and right-left directions. Accordingly, the whole body-shaped striking dummy may be used in martial arts training, such as Taekwondo, in the same manner as a real human body, thereby improving the efficiency of striking training.
  • Also provided is a whole body-shaped striking dummy including joints in which a human-sized and human-shaped manikin is fabricated using elastic joints including an elastic neck joint, an elastic waist joint, and elastic thigh joints. The whole body-shaped striking dummy may be reliably and elastically supported in front-rear and right-left directions even when the dummy is struck strongly and may allow a user to accurately strike a variety of portions corresponding to the portions of the human body.
  • In order to achieve the above objective, according to one aspect of the present disclosure, there is provided a whole body-shaped striking dummy including: a manikin being elastic in front-rear and right-left directions; a water tank; and a pedestal. The manikin may include: a head having a shape corresponding to the head of a human body; an elastic neck joint elastically coupled to a bottom portion of the head; an upper body elastically coupled to a bottom portion of the elastic neck joint and having a shape corresponding to the shoulders and the waist of the human body; an elastic waist joint elastically coupled to a bottom portion of the upper body; a hip and thigh section elastically coupled to a bottom portion of the elastic waist joint and having a shape corresponding to the hips and the thighs of the human body; a pair of elastic thigh joints elastically coupled to bottom portions of the hip and thigh section; a pair of shins elastically coupled to bottom portions of the pair of elastic thigh joints and having a shape corresponding to the shins of the human body; and a pair of feet elastically coupled to bottom portions of the pair of shins and having a shape corresponding to the feet of the human body. The water tank may be pivotably coupled to a rear end of the manikin via a rear support and containing water therein to support the manikin on a floor. The pedestal may be fastened and fixed to a bottom portion of the manikin and a bottom portion of the water tank.
  • In addition, the manikin may include: the head including a head bone portion provided in an upper portion of the head and having a shape corresponding to the head bones of the human body and a first nut provided integrally on a bottom portion of the head bone portion; the elastic neck joint including a first bolt provided in an upper portion of the elastic neck joint to be screw-engaged with the first nut and a second bolt provided integrally on a bottom portion of the first bolt; the upper body including a second nut provided in an upper portion of the upper body to be screw-engaged with the second bolt of the elastic neck joint, a body bone portion having a shape corresponding to the bones of the shoulders and the waist of the human body, and a third nut provided integrally on a bottom portion of the body bone portion; the elastic waist joint including a third bolt provided in an upper portion of the elastic waist joint to be screw-engaged with the third nut and a fourth bolt provided integrally on a bottom portion of the third bolt; the hip and thigh section including a fourth nut provided in an upper portion of the hip and thigh section to be screw-engaged with the fourth bolt of the elastic waist joint, a hip and thigh bone portion provided integrally on a bottom portion of the fourth nut and having a shape corresponding to the hips and the thighs of the human body, and a pair of fifth nuts extending integrally from bottom portions of the hip and thigh bone portion and arranged side by side in a lateral direction; the pair of elastic thigh joints including a pair of fifth bolts provided in upper portions of the pair of elastic thigh joints and a pair of sixth bolts provided integrally on bottom portions of the pair of fifth bolts; the pair of shins including a pair of sixth nuts provided in upper portions of the pair of shins to be screw-engaged with the pair of sixth bolts of the pair of elastic thigh joints and a pair of shinbone portions provided integrally on bottom portions of the pair of sixth nuts and having shapes corresponding to the thighs of the human body; and the pair of feet including a pair of foot bone portions fastened to bottom portion ends of the pair of shins and having shapes corresponding to the feet of the human body.
  • In addition, the head may further include a head outer portion made from urethane and covering the head bone portion, with a first thread being provided on an inner circumferential surface of the first nut. The first bolt of the elastic neck joint may include a second thread provided in an outer circumferential surface thereof to be screw-engaged with the first thread of the first nut, and the second bolt of the elastic neck joint may include a third thread provided in an outer circumferential surface thereof. The upper body may further include a body outer portion made from urethane and covering the body bone portion, the second nut may include a fourth thread provided in an inner circumferential surface thereof, the third nut of the upper body may include a fifth thread provided in an inner circumferential surface thereof. The third bolt of the elastic waist joint may include a sixth thread provided in an outer circumference thereof to be screw-engaged with the fifth thread of the third nut, and the fourth bolt may include a seventh thread provided in an outer circumference thereof. The hip and thigh section may further include a hip and thigh outer portion made from urethane and covering the hip and thigh bone portion, the fourth nut may include an eighth thread provided in an inner circumferential surface thereof, and the fifth nuts may include ninth threads provided in inner circumferential surfaces thereof, respectively. The pair of fifth bolts of the pair of elastic thigh joints may include a pair of tenth threads provided in outer circumferential surfaces thereof to be screw-engaged with the ninth threads of the pair of fifth nuts, and the pair of sixth bolts may include a pair of eleventh threads provided in outer circumferential surfaces thereof. The pair of shins may further include shin outer portions made from urethane and covering the shinbone portions, and the sixth nuts may include twelfth threads provided in inner circumferential surfaces thereof to be screw-engaged with the eleventh threads of the sixth bolts of the pair of elastic thigh joints.
  • In addition, the shinbone portions may have bolt hole portions provided in lower portions thereof in the front-rear direction. The pair of feet may further include a pair of foot outer portions made from urethane and covering the pair of foot bone portions. Each of the foot bone portions may include a U-shaped ankle bone portion into which a corresponding one of the bolt hole portions is inserted. The bolt hole portions may be screw-engaged with the U-shaped ankle bone portions using bolts so as to be rotatable in the front-rear direction. A foot top side bone portion may extend forward from the U-shaped ankle bone portion.
  • In addition, the elastic neck joint may further include a pair of rim-shaped first extension support disks provided between the first bolt and the second bolt to extend radially and be spaced apart from each other and a cylindrical elastic support connector provided integrally between the rim-shaped first extension support disks. The elastic waist joint may further include a rim-shaped single second extension support disk provided between the third bolt and the fourth bolt to extend radially. The pair of elastic thigh joints may further include a pair of rim-shaped third extension support disks provided between the fifth bolt and the sixth bolt to extend radially and a cylindrical elastic support connector provided integrally between the third extension support disks.
  • In addition, the water tank may include: a first water tank having a first water inlet hole configured to be opened and closed by a first water cap to fill the first water tank with water, with a rear support fitting recess portion being provided on one side of the first water tank such that one end of the rear support is inserted into the rear support fitting recess portion; and a second water tank provided below one side of the first water tank and having a second water inlet hole configured to be opened and closed by a second water cap to fill the second water tank with water.
  • In addition, a predetermined portion of the second water tank may be inserted into the first water tank and is hinge-coupled to the first water tank in an openable and closable manner so that the second water tank is pivotable up and down.
  • In addition, the rear support may include: a rear downwardly-inclined support section integrally and downwardly inclined from a rear portion of the hip and thigh bone portion of the hip and thigh section, with a bolt connector having a first bolt hole protruding from a distal end of the rear downwardly-inclined support; a support bone portion including a U-shaped bolt-fitting recess portion provided on one end thereof, the U-shaped bolt-fitting recess portion being configured such that the bolt connector is inserted thereinto and screw-engaged therewith using a bolt, and a seventh nut provided integrally on the other end of the support bone portion opposite the U-shaped bolt-fitting recess portion; a support elastic joint including a seventh bolt provided on one end thereof to be screw-engaged with the seventh nut and a rear fixing protrusion provided integrally on the other end thereof to be inserted into the rear support fitting recess portion of the first water tank; and a rear support fixing cap including an annular flange provided on one end thereof to be in tight contact with a surrounding area of the rear support fitting recess portion and a hollow insert provided on the other end thereof to be fitted into the rear support fitting recess portion, with the rear fixing protrusion extending through the hollow insert. The rear fixing protrusion may include an extension rim on one end thereof such that, when the rear fixing protrusion is inserted into the hollow insert, the extension rim is tightly fitted between and firmly fixed to one end of the hollow insert and the rear support fitting recess portion.
  • In addition, the rear fixing protrusion may further include a pair of fourth extension support disks provided between the seventh bolt and the rear fixing protrusion to extend radially, the fourth extension support disks being spaced apart from each other, and a cylindrical elastic support connector provided integrally between the fourth extension support disks.
  • In addition, the pedestal may have a rectangular plate shape, and may include: first to third longitudinal support plates spaced apart from each other in a horizontal direction; and first and second transverse support plates provided on both ends of the first to third longitudinal support plates so as to be spaced apart from each other. A plurality of foot sole-fastening nut holes may be provided in front portions of the first and third longitudinal support plates provided such that bolts are fastened to bottom portions of the feet through the foot sole-fastening nut holes. A plurality of first water tank-fastening nut holes may be provided behind the plurality of foot sole-fastening nut holes such that bolts are fastened to a bottom portion of the first water tank through the first water tank-fastening nut holes. A plurality of second water tank-fastening nut holes may be provided in front and central portions of the central second longitudinal support plate such that bolts are fastened to a bottom portion of the second water tank through the second water tank-fastening nut holes. A plurality of first water tank-fastening nut holes may be provided behind the second longitudinal support plate. The rear first transverse support plate may have a plurality of first water tank-fastening nut holes on left and right sides such that bolts are fastened to the bottom portion of the first water tank through the first water tank-fastening nut holes.
  • In the whole body-shaped striking dummy including joints according to the present disclosure, the human-sized manikin may be realized using elastic joints including an elastic neck joint, an elastic waist joint, and elastic thigh joints. The manikin may be supported on a floor using a rear support pivotably provided on the rear end of the manikin. The elastic joints of the manikin may have reliable ranges of elastic movement in front-rear and right-left directions. Accordingly, the whole body-shaped striking dummy may be used in martial arts training, such as Taekwondo, in the same manner as a real human body, thereby improving the efficiency of striking training.
  • In addition, the human-sized and human-shaped manikin may be fabricated using elastic joints including an elastic neck joint, an elastic waist joint, and elastic thigh joints. The whole body-shaped striking dummy may be reliably and elastically supported in front-rear and right-left directions even when the dummy is struck strongly and may allow a user to accurately strike a variety of portions corresponding to the portions of the human body.

  • The present disclosure may be embodied in many different forms without departing from the spirit and significant characteristics of the present disclosure. Therefore, the embodiments of the present disclosure are provided only for illustrative purposes and should not be construed as limiting the present disclosure.

  • As illustrated in FIGS. 1A to 13B, a whole body-shaped striking dummy 1 according to an embodiment of the present disclosure is fabricated in the shape of a human-sized manikin. The whole body-shaped striking dummy 1 generally includes: a manikin 100; a water tank 200; and a pedestal 300. The manikin 100 includes: a head 10 having a shape corresponding to the head of a human body; an elastic neck joint 20 elastically coupled to the bottom portion of the head 10; an upper body 30 elastically coupled to the bottom portion of the elastic neck joint 20 and having a shape corresponding to the shoulders and the waist of the human body; an elastic waist joint 40 elastically coupled to the bottom portion of the upper body 30; a hip and thigh section 50 elastically coupled to the bottom portion of the elastic waist joint 40 and having a shape corresponding to the hips and the thighs of the human body; a pair of elastic thigh joints 60 and 61 elastically coupled to the bottom portion of the hip and thigh section 50; a pair of shins 70 and 71 elastically coupled to the bottom portions of the pair of elastic thigh joints 60 and 61 and having shapes corresponding to the shins of the human body; a pair of feet 80 and 81 elastically coupled to the bottom portions of the pair of shins 70 and 71 and having shapes corresponding to the feet of the human body. Due to the above-described elastic components, the manikin 100 is elastic in the front-rear direction and the right-left direction. The water tank 200 is pivotably coupled to the rear end of the manikin 100 via a rear support 201, and contains water therein to support the manikin on the floor. The pedestal 300 is fastened and fixed to the bottom portion of the manikin and the bottom portion of the water tank.
  • While the terms such as “right-left”, “front-rear”, “right”, “left”, “above”, and “below” are used with respect to the whole body-shaped striking dummy 1 including joints illustrated in FIGS. 1A and 1B, each of these terms is only used to indicate the relative position or direction but do not indicate the absolute position or direction.
  • As illustrated in FIGS. 1A and 2, the manikin 100 elastic in the front-rear direction and the right-left direction includes: the head 10 including a head bone portion 11 provided in the upper portion of the head 10 and having a shape corresponding to the head (more particularly, head bones) of the human body and a first nut 12 provided integrally on the bottom portion of the head bone portion 11; the elastic neck joint 20 including a first bolt 21 provided in the upper portion of the elastic neck joint 20 to be screw-engaged with the first nut 12 and a second bolt 22 provided integrally on the bottom portion of the first bolt 21; the upper body 30 including a second nut 31 provided in the upper portion of the upper body 30 to be screw-engaged with the second bolt 22 of the elastic neck joint 20, a body bone portion 32 having a shape corresponding to the bones of the shoulders and the waist of the human body, and a third nut 33 provided integrally on the bottom portion of the body bone portion 32; the elastic waist joint 40 including a third bolt 41 provided in the upper portion of the elastic waist joint 40 to be screw-engaged with the third nut 33 and a fourth bolt 42 provided integrally on the bottom portion of the third bolt 41; the hip and thigh section 50 including a fourth nut 51 provided in the upper portion of the hip and thigh section 50 to be screw-engaged with the fourth bolt 42 of the elastic waist joint 40, a hip and thigh bone portion 52 provided integrally on the bottom portion of the fourth nut 51 and having a shape corresponding to the hips and the thighs of the human body, and a pair of fifth nuts 53 and 54 extending integrally from branched bottom portions of the hip and thigh bone portion 52 and arranged side by side in a lateral direction; the pair of elastic thigh joints 60 and 61 including a pair of fifth bolts 60-1 and 61-1 provided in the upper portions of the pair of elastic thigh joints 60 and 61 and a pair of sixth bolts 60-2 and 61-2 provided integrally on the bottom portions of the pair of fifth bolts 60-1 and 61-1; the pair of shins 70 and 71 including a pair of sixth nuts 70-1 and 71-1 provided in the upper portions of the pair of shins 70 and 71 to be screw-engaged with the pair of sixth bolts 60-2 and 61-2 of the pair of elastic thigh joints 60 and 61 and a pair of shinbone portions 70-2 and 71-2 provided integrally on the bottom portions of the pair of sixth nuts 70-1 and 71-1 and having shapes corresponding to the thighs of the human body; and the pair of feet 80 and 81 including a pair of foot bone portions 80-1 and 81-1 fastened to the bottom ends of the pair of shins 70 and 71 and having shapes corresponding to the feet of the human body.
  • As illustrated in FIGS. 2 to 3B, the water tank 200 is configured to support the manikin 10 on the lower portion, i.e., the floor, via the rear support 201 provided on the rear end of the manikin 100, more particularly, the rear end of the hip and thigh section 50 so as to be inclined downward.
  • The water tank 200 includes: a first water tank 210 having a rear support fitting recess portion 211 on one side thereof, the rear support fitting recess portion 211 being configured such that a rear fixing protrusion 57-2 of a support elastic joint 57, i.e., one end of the rear support 201 to be described later, is fitted thereinto, and a first water inlet hole 212 configured to be opened and closed by a first water cap 230 such that water may be contained inside the first water tank 210; and a second water tank 220 provided below one side (i.e. on the front portion) of the first water tank 210 and having a second water inlet hole 221 configured to be opened and closed by a second water cap 240 such that water may be contained inside the second water tank 220.
  • Here, the first water tank 210 has a greater size than the second water tank 220. One portion of the second water tank 220 is inserted into the first water tank 210 and is hinge-coupled to the first water tank 210 in an openable and closable manner so that the second water tank 220 is pivotable up and down. Thus, the volume and size of the water tank 200 may be reduced in transportation and packaging (see FIG. 3B).
  • As illustrated in FIG. 4, the pedestal 300 has substantially a rectangular plate shape so as to be attached and fixed to the bottom portion of the manikin 100 and the bottom end of the water tank 200.
  • That is, as illustrated in FIG. 4, the rectangular plate-shaped pedestal 300 includes first to third longitudinal support plates 310, 320, and 330 spaced apart from each other in the horizontal direction (i.e., the right-left direction in FIG. 4). First and second transverse support plates 340 and 350 are provided on both ends of the first to third longitudinal support plates 310, 320, and 330 so as to be spaced apart from each other. A plurality of foot sole-fastening nut holes 311 and 331 is provided in the front portions of the first and third longitudinal support plates 310 and 330 provided on both sides, i.e., left and right sides, such that bolts may be fastened to the bottom portions of the feet 80 and 81 through the foot sole-fastening nut holes 311 and 331. A plurality of first water tank-fastening nut holes 312 and 332 is provided at the rear of the plurality of foot sole-fastening nut holes 311 and 331 such that bolts may be fastened to the bottom portion of the first water tank 210 through the first water tank-fastening nut holes 312 and 332. A plurality of second water tank-fastening nut holes 321 is provided in the front portion and the central portion of the central second longitudinal support plate 320 such that bolts may be fastened to the bottom portion of the second water tank 220 through the second water tank-fastening nut holes 321. A plurality of first water tank-fastening nut holes 322 is provided at the rear of the second longitudinal support plate 320. The rear second transverse support plate 350 has a plurality of first water tank-fastening nut holes 351 on left and right sides such that bolts may be fastened to the bottom portion of the first water tank 210 through the first water tank-fastening nut holes 351.
  • In the illustrated example, the foot sole-fastening nut holes 311 and 331 and the first water tank-fastening nut holes 312 and 332 provided in the front and rear portions of the first and third longitudinal support plates 310 and 330 are hole groups respectively comprised of 6 holes. For example, in the foot sole-fastening nut holes 311 are a total of 6 holes of which three holes in the left side are paired with three holes in the right side, respectively. In addition, the second water tank-fastening nut holes 321 formed in the front and central portions of the second longitudinal support plate 320 and the first water tank-fastening nut holes 322 formed in the rear portion of the second longitudinal support plate 320 are hole groups respectively comprised of 3 holes arranged in a line. However, the number of the holes is not limited in the present disclosure.
  • The manikin 100 has a human-sized (e.g. 170 cm) and body-shaped structure, the entirety of which is fabricated by molding, such as blow extrusion molding. The manikin 100 generally includes: the head 10 provided in the upper portion and having a shape corresponding to the head of the human body; the elastic neck joint 20; the upper body 30 having a shape corresponding to the bones of the shoulders and the waist of the human body; the elastic waist joint 40; the hip and thigh section 50; the pair of elastic thigh joints 60 and 61; the shins 70 and 71 having a shape corresponding to the shins of the human body; and the pair of feet 80 and 81 having a shape corresponding to the feet of the human body.
  • As illustrated in FIGS. 5A and 5B, the head 10 further includes a head outer portion 13 made from urethane and having a spherical shape covering the head bone portion 11 corresponding to the bones of the head and the face and the surrounding portions of the head bone portion 11.
  • In addition, as illustrated in FIG. 5B, a first thread 12-1 is formed on the inner circumferential surface of the first nut 12 provided integrally on the bottom portion of the head bone portion.
  • In addition, the first nut 12 has a fastening hole (with no reference numeral) configured to provide a bolt-nut engagement structure as an additional reinforcement structure in the case of screw-engagement with the fastening holes formed in the first bolt 21 of the elastic neck joint 20.
  • The elastic neck joint 20 is made from an elastic material, such as rubber, to elastically withstand while moving in the front-rear and right-left directions when the dummy is struck. As illustrated in FIG. 6, the first bolt 21 has a second thread 21-1 formed in the outer circumferential surface thereof to be screw-engaged with the first thread 12-1 of the first nut 12. The second bolt 22 has a third thread 22-1 formed in the outer circumferential surface thereof.
  • In addition, a pair of rim-shaped first extension support disks 23 and 24 extending radially is provided between the first bolt 21 and the second bolt 22, the first extension support disks 23 and 24 being spaced apart from each other. A cylindrical elastic support connector 25 is provided integrally between the rim-shaped first extension support disks 23 and 24. This configuration serves to increase support force between the head 10 and the elastic neck joint 20 and between the elastic neck joint 20 and the upper body 30 and to increase the range of elastic movement in the front-back and right-left directions when the dummy is struck.
  • In fact, as illustrated in FIG. 1B, the head outer portion 13 is configured such that the lower portion thereof surrounds the upper first extension support disk 23 of the elastic neck joint 20 up to the top portion of the upper first extension support disk 23, and a body outer portion 34 made from urethane to be described later is configured to surround the lower extension support disk 24 of the elastic neck joint 20 up to the bottom portion of the lower extension support disk 24.
  • In addition, the first bolt 21 and the second bolt 22 have fastening holes (not shown) configured to be fastened with the fastening holes formed in first nut 12 of the head 10 and the second nut 31 of the upper body 30 to provide an additional bolt-nut engagement structure increasing coupling force.
  • As illustrated in FIGS. 7A and 7B, the upper body 30 further includes the body outer portion 34 made from urethane and covering the body bone portion 32 corresponding to the bones of the shoulders and the waist of the human body and the surrounding portions of the body bone portion 32.
  • In addition, as illustrated in FIG. 7B, the second nut 31 located on the top portion of the body bone portion 32 has a fourth thread 31-1 formed in the inner circumferential surface thereof. The fourth thread 31-1 is configured to be screw-engaged with the third thread 22-1 of the second bolt 22 of the elastic neck joint 20. The third nut 33 located in the lower portion of the body bone portion 32 has a fifth thread 33-1 formed in the inner circumferential surface thereof.
  • In addition, the second nut 31 and the third nut 33 have fastening holes (with no reference numerals) configured to form a bolt-nut engagement structure as a reinforcement structure when thread-coupled with fastening holes formed in the second bolt 22 of the elastic neck joint 20 and the third bolt 41 of the elastic waist joint 40.
  • The elastic waist joint 40 is made from an elastic material, such as rubber, to elastically withstand while moving in the front-rear and right-left directions when the dummy is struck. As illustrated in FIG. 8, the third bolt 41 has a sixth thread 41-1 formed in the outer circumference thereof to be screw-engaged with the fifth thread 33-1 of the third nut 33, and the fourth bolt 42 has a seventh thread 42-1 formed in the outer circumference thereof.
  • In addition, a rim-shaped single second extension support disk 43 extending radially is provided between the third bolt 41 and the fourth bolt 42 to increase support force between the upper body 30 and the hip and thigh section 50 and to increase the range of elastic movement in the front-back and right-left directions when the dummy is struck.
  • In addition, the third bolt 41 and the fourth bolt 42 have fastening holes (not shown) configured to be fastened with the fastening holes formed in the third nut 33 of the upper body 30 and the fourth nut 51 of the hip and thigh section 50 by bolt-nut engagement.
  • As illustrated in FIGS. 9A and 9B, the hip and thigh section 50 further includes a hip and thigh outer portion 50-1 made from urethane and covering the hip and thigh bone portion 52 corresponding to the bones of the hips and the thighs of the human body and the surrounding portions of the hip and thigh bone portion 52.
  • In addition, illustrated in FIG. 9B, the fourth nut 51 located on the top portion of the hip and thigh bone portion 52 has an eighth thread 51-1 formed in the inner circumferential surface thereof. The eighth thread 51-1 is configured to be screw-engaged with the seventh thread 42-1 of the fourth bolt 42 of the elastic waist joint 40. The fifth nuts 53 and 54 branched left and right from the bottom portion of the hip and thigh bone portion 52 and disposed side by side have ninth threads 53-1 and 54-1 formed in the inner circumferential surfaces thereof, respectively.
  • The fourth nut 51 and the pair of fifth nuts 53 and 54 also have fastening holes (with no reference numerals) configured to be fastened with the fastening holes formed in the fourth bolt 42 of the elastic waist joint 40 and the fifth bolts 60-1 and 61-1 of the pair of elastic thigh joints 60 and 61 by bolt-nut engagement.
  • The pair of elastic thigh joints 60 and 61 is made from an elastic material, such as rubber, to elastically withstand while moving in the front-rear and right-left directions when the dummy is struck. As illustrated in FIG. 10, the pair of fifth bolts 60-1 and 61-1 has a pair of tenth threads 60-1 a and 61-1 a formed in the outer circumferential surfaces thereof to be screw-engaged with the ninth threads 53-1 and 54-1 of the pair of fifth nuts 53 and 54. The pair of sixth bolts 60-2 and 61-2 has a pair of eleventh threads 60-2 a and 61-2 a formed in the outer circumferential surfaces thereof.
  • In addition, a pair of rim-shaped third extension support disks 60-3 extending radially is provided between the fifth bolt 60-1 and the sixth bolt 60-2 such that the third extension support disks 60-3 are spaced apart from each other, and a pair of rim-shaped third extension support disks 61-3 extending radially is provided between the fifth bolt 61-1 and the sixth bolt 61-2 such that the third extension support disks 61-3 are spaced apart from each other. Cylindrical elastic support connectors 60-4 and 61-4 are provided integrally between the third extension support disks 60-3 and between the third extension support disks 61-3, respectively. This configuration serves to increase support force between the hip and thigh bone portion 52 and the pair of shins 70 and 71 and to increase the range of elastic movement in the front-back and right-left directions when the dummy is struck.
  • The pair of sixth bolts 60-2 and 61-2 of the pair of elastic thigh joints 60 and 61 has fastening holes (with no reference numerals) configured to be fastened with the fastening holes formed in the pair of sixth nuts 70-1 and 71-1 of the pair of shins 70 and 71 by bolt-nut engagement.
  • As illustrated in FIGS. 11A and 11B, the pair of shins 70 and 71 further includes shin outer portions 70-3 and 71-3 made from a urethane material and covering the shinbone portions 70-2 and 71-2 corresponding to the shinbones of the human body and the sixth nuts 70-1 and 71-1.
  • The sixth nuts 70-1 and 71-1 have twelfth threads 70-1 a and 71-1 a formed in the inner circumferential surfaces thereof to be screw-engaged with the eleventh threads 60-2 a and 61-2 a of the sixth bolts 60-2 and 61-2 of the pair of elastic thigh joints 60 and 61.
  • In addition, as illustrated in FIG. 11B, the shinbone portions 70-2 and 71-2 have bolt hole portions 70-4 and 71-4 formed in the lower portions thereof in the front-rear direction, the bolt hole portions 70-4 and 71-4 allowing bolts to be fastened thereto.
  • In addition, as illustrated in FIGS. 12A and 12B, the foot bone portions 80-1 and 81-1 of the feet 80 and 81 include U-shaped ankle bone portions 80-2 and 81-2 into which the bolt hole portions 70-4 and 71-4 are fitted and foot top side bone portions 80-3 and 81-3 extending forward from the U-shaped ankle bone portions 80-2 and 81-2.
  • Each of the U-shaped ankle bone portions 80-2 and 81-2 have bolt holes 80-2 a and 81-2 a has two bolt holes 80-2 a or 81-2 a arranged in the front-rear direction. The bolt holes 80-2 a or 81-2 a are screw-engaged (or bolt tightened) with the bolt holes 70-4 or 71-4 therebetween using a bolt. Due to this configuration, each of the shins 70 and 71 is elastically rotatable right and left about the bolt (not shown) serving as an axel with respect to the corresponding one of the feet 80 and 81.
  • In addition, as illustrated in FIG. 12A, the pair of feet 80 and 81 further includes a pair of foot outer portions 80 a and 81 a made from urethane and covering the pair of foot bone portions 80-1 and 81-1.
  • Nut holes (not shown) are formed in the bottom portions of the foot outer portions 80 a and 81 a such that the foot outer portions 80 a and 81 a may be fastened with the pedestal 300 using bolts through the nut holes as described above.
  • In addition, as illustrated in FIGS. 9B, 13A, and 13B, the rear support 201 is provided on the rear end of the manikin, i.e., at the rear of the hip and thigh bone portion 52 of the hip and thigh section 50, and is coupled to the first water tank 210 so as to be pivotable right and left to a predetermined degree.
  • That is, the rear support 201 includes: a rear downwardly-inclined support section 55 integrally and downwardly inclined from a rear portion of the hip and thigh bone portion 52 of the hip and thigh section 50, with a bolt connector 55-1 having a first bolt hole 55-2 protruding from the distal end of the rear downwardly-inclined support 55; a support bone portion 56 including a U-shaped bolt-fitting recess portion 56-1 provided on one end thereof, the U-shaped bolt-fitting recess portion 56-1 being configured such that the bolt connector 55-1 is inserted thereinto and having two opposing second bolt holes 56-2 so as to be screw-engaged with the rear downwardly-inclined support section 55 using a bolt (not shown) fitted into the first bolt hole 55-2 and the second bolt holes 56-2, and a seventh nut 56-3 provided integrally on the other end of the support bone portion 56 opposite the U-shaped bolt-fitting recess portion 56-1; the support elastic joint 57 including a seventh bolt 57-1 provided on one end thereof to be screw-engaged with the seventh nut 56-3 and a rear fixing protrusion 57-2 formed integrally on the other end thereof to be inserted into the rear support fitting recess portion 211 (see FIG. 3A) of the first water tank 210; and a rear support fixing cap 58 including an annular flange 58-1 provided on one end thereof to be in tight contact with the surrounding area of the rear support fitting recess portion 211 and a hollow insert 58-2 provided on the other end thereof to be fitted into the rear support fitting recess portion 211, with the rear fixing protrusion 57-2 extending through the hollow insert 58-2.
  • Here, an extension rim 57-3 is provided on one end of the rear fixing protrusion 57-2. When the rear fixing protrusion 57-2 is inserted into the hollow insert 58-2, the extension rim 57-3 is tightly fitted between and thus firmly fixed to one end of the hollow insert 58-2 and the rear support fitting recess portion 211.
  • In addition, a pair of fourth extension support disks 57-4 and 57-5 extending radially is provided between the seventh bolt 57-1 and the rear fixing protrusion 57-2, the fourth extension support disks 57-4 being spaced apart from each other. A cylindrical elastic support connector 57-6 is provided integrally between the fourth extension support disks 57-4 and 57-5 to increase the support force between the support bone portion 56 and the first water tank 210 (as well as the rear downwardly-inclined support section 55 and the first water tank 210) and to increase the range of elastic movement in the front-back and right-left directions when the dummy is struck.
  • In addition, a thirteenth thread 56-4 is formed on the inner circumferential surface of the seventh nut 56-3, and a fourteenth thread 57-7 is formed on the outer circumferential surface of the seventh bolt 57-1 so as to be screw-engaged with the thirteenth thread 56-4.
  • In addition, the annular flange 58-1 of the rear support fixing cap 58 has a plurality of bolt holes 58-3 formed in the circumferential direction to be symmetrically arrayed, and the rear support fitting recess portion 211 has a plurality of bolt holes 211-1 formed therearound (see FIG. 3A). Thus, the annular flange 58-1 may be fastened with the rear support fitting recess portion 211 using bolts fitted to the plurality of bolt holes 58-3 and the plurality of bolt holes 211-1.
  • Furthermore, the whole body-shaped striking dummy may further include a rear support outer portion made from urethane and covering the rear support 201.
  • It will be understood that the present disclosure is not limited to the form set forth in the foregoing description. Accordingly, the true scope of the present disclosure should be determined by the technical idea of the appended claims. In addition, it should be understood that the present disclosure includes all modifications, equivalents, and alternatives falling within the spirit and scope of the disclosure as defined by the appended claims.

Claims (10)

What is claimed is:
1. A whole body-shaped striking dummy comprising:
a manikin being elastic in front-rear and right-left directions and comprising:
a head having a shape corresponding to the head of a human body,
an elastic neck joint elastically coupled to a bottom portion of the head,
an upper body elastically coupled to a bottom portion of the elastic neck joint and having a shape corresponding to the shoulders and the waist of the human body,
an elastic waist joint elastically coupled to a bottom portion of the upper body,
a hip and thigh section elastically coupled to a bottom portion of the elastic waist joint and having a shape corresponding to the hips and the thighs of the human body,
a pair of elastic thigh joints elastically coupled to bottom portions of the hip and thigh section,
a pair of shins elastically coupled to bottom portions of the pair of elastic thigh joints and having a shape corresponding to the shins of the human body, and
a pair of feet elastically coupled to bottom portions of the pair of shins and having a shape corresponding to the feet of the human body;
a water tank pivotably coupled to a rear end of the manikin via a rear support and containing water therein to support the manikin on a floor; and
a pedestal fastened and fixed to a bottom portion of the manikin and a bottom portion of the water tank.
2. The whole body-shaped striking dummy according to claim 1, wherein the manikin comprises:
the head comprising a head bone portion provided in an upper portion of the head and having a shape corresponding to the head bones of the human body and a first nut provided integrally on a bottom portion of the head bone portion;
the elastic neck joint comprising a first bolt provided in an upper portion of the elastic neck joint to be screw-engaged with the first nut and a second bolt provided integrally on a bottom portion of the first bolt;
the upper body comprising a second nut provided in an upper portion of the upper body to be screw-engaged with the second bolt of the elastic neck joint, a body bone portion having a shape corresponding to the bones of the shoulders and the waist of the human body, and a third nut provided integrally on a bottom portion of the body bone portion;
the elastic waist joint comprising a third bolt provided in an upper portion of the elastic waist joint to be screw-engaged with the third nut and a fourth bolt provided integrally on a bottom portion of the third bolt;
the hip and thigh section comprising a fourth nut provided in an upper portion of the hip and thigh section to be screw-engaged with the fourth bolt of the elastic waist joint, a hip and thigh bone portion provided integrally on a bottom portion of the fourth nut and having a shape corresponding to the hips and the thighs of the human body, and a pair of fifth nuts extending integrally from bottom portions of the hip and thigh bone portion and arranged side by side in a lateral direction;
the pair of elastic thigh joints comprising a pair of fifth bolts provided in upper portions of the pair of elastic thigh joints and a pair of sixth bolts provided integrally on bottom portions of the pair of fifth bolts;
the pair of shins comprising a pair of sixth nuts provided in upper portions of the pair of shins to be screw-engaged with the pair of sixth bolts of the pair of elastic thigh joints and a pair of shinbone portions provided integrally on bottom portions of the pair of sixth nuts and having shapes corresponding to the thighs of the human body; and
the pair of feet comprising a pair of foot bone portions fastened to bottom portion ends of the pair of shins and having shapes corresponding to the feet of the human body.
3. The whole body-shaped striking dummy according to claim 2, wherein the head further comprises a head outer portion made from urethane and covering the head bone portion, with a first thread being provided on an inner circumferential surface of the first nut,
wherein the first bolt of the elastic neck joint comprises a second thread provided in an outer circumferential surface thereof to be screw-engaged with the first thread of the first nut, and the second bolt of the elastic neck joint comprises a third thread provided in an outer circumferential surface thereof,
wherein the upper body further comprises a body outer portion made from urethane and covering the body bone portion, the second nut comprises a fourth thread provided in an inner circumferential surface thereof, the third nut of the upper body comprises a fifth thread provided in an inner circumferential surface thereof,
wherein the third bolt of the elastic waist joint comprises a sixth thread provided in an outer circumference thereof to be screw-engaged with the fifth thread of the third nut, and the fourth bolt comprises a seventh thread provided in an outer circumference thereof,
wherein the hip and thigh section further comprises a hip and thigh outer portion made from urethane and covering the hip and thigh bone portion, the fourth nut comprises an eighth thread provided in an inner circumferential surface thereof, and the fifth nuts comprise ninth threads provided in inner circumferential surfaces thereof, respectively,
wherein the pair of fifth bolts of the pair of elastic thigh joints comprises a pair of tenth threads provided in outer circumferential surfaces thereof to be screw-engaged with the ninth threads of the pair of fifth nuts, and the pair of sixth bolts comprises a pair of eleventh threads provided in outer circumferential surfaces thereof, and
wherein the pair of shins further includes shin outer portions made from urethane and covering the shinbone portions, and the sixth nuts comprise twelfth threads provided in inner circumferential surfaces thereof to be screw-engaged with the eleventh threads of the sixth bolts of the pair of elastic thigh joints.
4. The whole body-shaped striking dummy according to claim 3, wherein the shinbone portions comprise bolt hole portions provided in lower portions thereof in the front-rear direction,
the pair of feet further comprises a pair of foot outer portions made from urethane and covering the pair of foot bone portions, and
each of the foot bone portions comprises a U-shaped ankle bone portion into which a corresponding one of the bolt hole portions is inserted, the bolt hole portions being screw-engaged with the U-shaped ankle bone portions using bolts so as to be rotatable in the front-rear direction, and a foot top side bone portion extending forward from the U-shaped ankle bone portion.

The whole body-shaped striking dummy according to claim 2, wherein the elastic neck joint further comprises a pair of rim-shaped first extension support disks provided between the first bolt and the second bolt to extend radially and be spaced apart from each other and a cylindrical elastic support connector provided integrally between the rim-shaped first extension support disks,
the elastic waist joint further comprises a rim-shaped single second extension support disk provided between the third bolt and the fourth bolt to extend radially, and
the pair of elastic thigh joints further comprises a pair of rim-shaped third extension support disks provided between the fifth bolt and the sixth bolt to extend radially and a cylindrical elastic support connector provided integrally between the third extension support disks.
6. The whole body-shaped striking dummy according to claim 2, wherein the water tank comprises:
a first water tank having a first water inlet hole configured to be opened and closed by a first water cap to fill the first water tank with water, with a rear support fitting recess portion being provided on one side of the first water tank such that one end of the rear support is inserted into the rear support fitting recess portion; and
a second water tank provided below one side of the first water tank and having a second water inlet hole configured to be opened and closed by a second water cap to fill the second water tank with water.
7. The whole body-shaped striking dummy according to claim 6, wherein a predetermined portion of the second water tank is inserted into the first water tank and is hinge-coupled to the first water tank in an openable and closable manner so that the second water tank is pivotable up and down.
8. The whole body-shaped striking dummy according to claim 6, wherein the rear support comprises:
a rear downwardly-inclined support section integrally and downwardly inclined from a rear portion of the hip and thigh bone portion of the hip and thigh section, with a bolt connector having a first bolt hole protruding from a distal end of the rear downwardly-inclined support;
a support bone portion comprising a U-shaped bolt-fitting recess portion provided on one end thereof, the U-shaped bolt-fitting recess portion being configured such that the bolt connector is inserted thereinto and screw-engaged therewith using a bolt, and a seventh nut provided integrally on the other end of the support bone portion opposite the U-shaped bolt-fitting recess portion;
a support elastic joint comprising a seventh bolt provided on one end thereof to be screw-engaged with the seventh nut and a rear fixing protrusion provided integrally on the other end thereof to be inserted into the rear support fitting recess portion of the first water tank; and
a rear support fixing cap comprising an annular flange provided on one end thereof to be in tight contact with a surrounding area of the rear support fitting recess portion and a hollow insert provided on the other end thereof to be fitted into the rear support fitting recess portion, with the rear fixing protrusion extending through the hollow insert,
wherein the rear fixing protrusion comprises an extension rim on one end thereof such that, when the rear fixing protrusion is inserted into the hollow insert, the extension rim is tightly fitted between and firmly fixed to one end of the hollow insert and the rear support fitting recess portion.

The whole body-shaped striking dummy according to claim 8, wherein the rear fixing protrusion further comprises a pair of fourth extension support disks provided between the seventh bolt and the rear fixing protrusion to extend radially, the fourth extension support disks being spaced apart from each other, and a cylindrical elastic support connector provided integrally between the fourth extension support disks.
10. The whole body-shaped striking dummy according to claim 6, wherein the pedestal has a rectangular plate shape, and comprises:
first to third longitudinal support plates spaced apart from each other in a horizontal direction; and
first and second transverse support plates provided on both ends of the first to third longitudinal support plates so as to be spaced apart from each other,
wherein a plurality of foot sole-fastening nut holes is provided in front portions of the first and third longitudinal support plates provided such that bolts are fastened to bottom portions of the feet through the foot sole-fastening nut holes,
a plurality of first water tank-fastening nut holes is provided behind the plurality of foot sole-fastening nut holes such that bolts are fastened to a bottom portion of the first water tank through the first water tank-fastening nut holes,
a plurality of second water tank-fastening nut holes is provided in front and central portions of the central second longitudinal support plate such that bolts are fastened to a bottom portion of the second water tank through the second water tank-fastening nut holes,
a plurality of first water tank-fastening nut holes is provided behind the second longitudinal support plate, and
the rear first transverse support plate has a plurality of first water tank-fastening nut holes on left and right sides such that bolts are fastened to the bottom portion of the first water tank through the first water tank-fastening nut holes.
