Abstract

A head covering article, including a head portion to cover a head of a user, and a tail portion disposed on at least a portion of the head portion to receive and wrap around a ponytail therein.

Description

BACKGROUND

1. Field

The present general inventive concept relates generally to headwear, and particularly, to a head covering article.

2. Description of the Related Art

Some outdoor activities including riding motorcycles and/or all-terrain vehicles are a thrilling experience enjoyed by many. Outdoor activities can expose a person to external particles found outside, such as dirt, dust, and/or liquid that will intrude and pollute the person's hair and/or irritate the person's face.
Also, while enjoying the outdoors, the person's hair can become disorganized. In particular, the person with a ponytail has more difficulty keeping hair organized and protected. However, conventional headwear does not provide any way to protect the ponytail. Hats and/or headbands do not provide a covering for the ponytail.
Therefore, there is a need for a head covering article that can protect all portions of the person's hair.

SUMMARY

The present general inventive concept provides a head covering article.
Additional features and utilities of the present general inventive concept will be set forth in part in the description which follows and, in part, will be obvious from the description, or may be learned by practice of the general inventive concept.
The foregoing and/or other features and utilities of the present general inventive concept may be achieved by providing a head covering article, including a head portion to cover a head of a user, and a tail portion disposed on at least a portion of the head portion to receive and wrap around a ponytail therein.
The head portion may be elastic and at least partially deforms around the head of the user.
The head portion may have a different material on an interior surface thereof to prevent at least one particle from moving from an outer surface to the interior surface.
The tail portion may include a first body, and a head fastener disposed on at least a portion of each edge of the first body to assume a shape in response to being bent.
The tail portion may include a second body, a string disposed on at least a portion of the second body to prevent the second body from unraveling, and an end fastener disposed on at least a portion of the string to prevent the string from disconnecting from the second body.
The tail portion may further include a plurality of body fasteners longitudinally disposed on at least a portion of the second body to connect a first side of the second body to a second side of the second body.
The second body may include a hair aperture disposed on at least a portion of an end of the second body to receive an end of the ponytail therethrough.
The second body may include a hair aperture disposed on at least a portion of the second body between the head portion and the second body to facilitate access to the ponytail.
The head covering article may further include a center fastener disposed on at least a portion of the head portion between the head portion and the tail portion to prevent the head portion and the tail portion from unraveling therebetween.
The head covering article may further include a face veil disposed on at least a portion of the head portion and the tail portion to cover at least a portion of a face and a neck of the user.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION

Various example embodiments (a.k.a., exemplary embodiments) will now be described more fully with reference to the accompanying drawings in which some example embodiments are illustrated. In the figures, the thicknesses of lines, layers and/or regions may be exaggerated for clarity.
Accordingly, while example embodiments are capable of various modifications and alternative forms, embodiments thereof are shown by way of example in the figures and will herein be described in detail. It should be understood, however, that there is no intent to limit example embodiments to the particular forms disclosed, but on the contrary, example embodiments are to cover all modifications, equivalents, and alternatives falling within the scope of the disclosure. The head covering article 100 may be constructed from at least one of cloth, metal, plastic, and rubber, etc., but is not limited thereto.
The head covering article 100 may include a head portion 110, a tail portion 120, and a center fastener 130, but is not limited thereto.
The head portion 110 may include a first body 111 and a head fastener 112, but is not limited thereto.
The first body 111 may be constructed of cloth, such as cotton, polyester, polyester-cotton, rayon, and/or any combination thereof. As such, the first body 111 may facilitate movement of air therethrough. In other words, the first body 111 may be breathable.
Referring to FIG. 1B, the first body 111 is illustrated to have a triangular shape. However, the first body 111 may be rectangular, circular, conical, pentagonal, hexagonal, heptagonal, octagonal, or any other shape known to one of ordinary skill in the art, but is not limited thereto. Moreover, the first body 111 may have a first predetermined size based on a size of a head of a user. For example, the first predetermined size of the first body 111 for an adult may be greater than the first predetermined size of the first body 111 for a child.
Alternatively, the first body 111 may be elastic, such that the first body 111 may at least partially deform to fit around the head of the user. In other words, the first body 111 may be a one-size fits all to bend, stretch, expand, and/or shrink to snugly fit on the head of the user.
Furthermore, the first body 111 may have a different material on an interior (i.e. front that contacts the head of the user) surface, such as satin, silk, plastic, and/or any combination thereof. Accordingly, the interior surface of the first body 111 may protect the head of the user, such that at least one particle, such as dirt, dust, and/or liquid may remain on an outer (i.e. rear) surface of the first body 111.
The head fastener 112 may include a string, a rope, a wire, and a rubber band, but is not limited thereto.
The head fastener 112 may be disposed on at least a portion of each edge of the first body 111. Additionally, the head fastener 112 may be semi-rigid in structure. As such, the head fastener 112 may resist movement and/or assume a shape according to a preference of the user. For example, the head fastener 112 may be moved (i.e. bend) to accommodate a shape of the head of the user. Also, the head fastener 112 may be bent based on a predetermined application of force thereto, such that the head fastener 112 may prevent he first body 111 from moving away from the head of the user while being worn.
The tail portion 120 may include a second body 121, a string 122, an end fastener 123, and a plurality of body fasteners 124, but is not limited thereto.
The second body 121 may be constructed of cloth, such as cotton, polyester, polyester-cotton, rayon, and/or any combination thereof. As such, the second body 121 may facilitate movement of air therethrough. In other words, the second body 121 may be breathable.
The second body 121 may include a hair aperture 121 a, but is not limited thereto.
The second body 121 may be disposed on at least a portion of the first body 111. The second body 121 may have an elongate shape. In other words, a length of the second body 121 may be greater than a length of the first body 111. However, a width of the first body 111 may be greater than a width of the second body 121.
Moreover, the second body 121 may have a second predetermined size based on a length of hair of the user. For example, the second predetermined size of the second body 121 for the adult may be greater than the second predetermined size of the second body 121 for the child.
Alternatively, the second body 121 may be elastic, such that the second body 121 may at least partially deform to fit around the hair of the user. In other words, the second body 121 may be a one-size fits all to bend, stretch, expand, and/or shrink to snugly fit on the hair of the user. More specifically, the second body 121 may receive a ponytail of the user therein, such that the second body 121 may wrap around the ponytail of the user.
Furthermore, the second body 121 may have a different material on an interior (i.e. front that contacts the hair) surface, such as satin, silk, plastic, and/or any combination thereof. Accordingly, the interior surface of the second body 121 may protect the hair of the user, such that the at least one particle, such as dirt, dust, and/or liquid may remain on an outer (i.e. rear) surface of the second body 121.
The hair aperture 121 a may be disposed on at least a portion of an end of the second body 121. The hair aperture 121 a may receive an end of the hair of the user therethrough.
The string 122 may be disposed on at least a portion of the second body 121. The string 122 may wrap in a lattice (i.e. criss cross) pattern over the second body 121. The string 122 may prevent the second body 121 from unraveling.
The end fastener 123 may be disposed on at least a portion of the string 122. The end fastener 123 may prevent the string 122 from disconnecting from the second body 121.
Each of the plurality of body fasteners 124 may include a button, a snap, a clasp, a magnet, and/or any combination thereof, but is not limited thereto.
The plurality of body fasteners 124 may be longitudinally disposed on at least a portion of the second body 121. Each of the plurality of body fasteners 124 may be distanced from each other. Also, the plurality of body fasteners 124 may connect a first side of the second body 121 to a second side of the second body 121.
The center fastener 130 may include a string, a rope, a wire, and a rubber band, but is not limited thereto.
The center fastener 130 may be disposed on at least a portion of the first body 111 between the first body 111 and/or the second body 121. The center fastener 130 may prevent the first body 111 and/or the second body 121 from unraveling therebetween.
Therefore, the head covering article 100 may protect the head and/or the hair of the user, such as during riding, cleaning, and/or performing yard work. Also, the head covering article 100 may cover the ponytail of the user.
FIG. 2A illustrates a side perspective view of a head covering article 200 as disposed on a user, according to another exemplary embodiment of the present general inventive concept.
FIG. 2B illustrates a front perspective view of a head covering article 200, according to another exemplary embodiment of the present general inventive concept.
The head covering article 200 may be constructed from at least one of cloth, metal, plastic, and rubber, etc., but is not limited thereto.
The head covering article 200 may include a head portion 210, a tail portion 220, and a center fastener 230, but is not limited thereto.
The head portion 210 may include a first body 211 and a head fastener 212, but is not limited thereto.
The first body 211 may be constructed of cloth, such as cotton, polyester, polyester-cotton, rayon, and/or any combination thereof. As such, the first body 211 may facilitate movement of air therethrough. In other words, the first body 211 may be breathable.
Referring to FIG. 2B, the first body 211 is illustrated to have a triangular shape. However, the first body 211 may be rectangular, circular, conical, pentagonal, hexagonal, heptagonal, octagonal, or any other shape known to one of ordinary skill in the art, but is not limited thereto. Moreover, the first body 211 may have a first predetermined size based on a size of a head of a user. The head fastener 212 may be disposed on at least a portion of each edge of the first body 211. Additionally, the head fastener 212 may be semi-rigid in structure. The second body 221 may include a hair aperture 221 a, but is not limited thereto.
The second body 221 may be disposed on at least a portion of the first body 211. The second body 221 may have an elongate shape. In other words, a length of the second body 221 may be greater than a length of the first body 211. However, a width of the first body 211 may be greater than a width of the second body 221.
Moreover, the second body 221 may have a second predetermined size based on a length of hair of the user. For example, the second predetermined size of the second body 221 for the adult may be greater than the second predetermined size of the second body 221 for the child.
Alternatively, the second body 221 may be elastic, such that the second body 221 may at least partially deform to fit around the hair of the user. In other words, the second body 221 may be a one-size fits all to bend, stretch, expand, and/or shrink to snugly fit on the hair of the user. More specifically, the second body 221 may receive a ponytail of the user therein, such that the second body 221 may wrap around the ponytail of the user.
Furthermore, the second body 221 may have a different material on an interior (i.e. front that contacts the hair) surface, such as satin, silk, plastic, and/or any combination thereof. Accordingly, the interior surface of the second body 221 may protect the hair of the user, such that the at least one particle, such as dirt, dust, and/or liquid may remain on an outer (i.e. rear) surface of the second body 221.
The hair aperture 221 a may be disposed on at least a portion of the second body 221 between the first body 211 and/or the second body 221. The hair aperture 221 a may display a center portion of the hair of the user therethrough and facilitate access to the ponytail, such as the center portion of the ponytail. It is important to note that the hair aperture 221 a may be disposed at a different location than the hair aperture 121 a. As such, the second body 121 may be a wrap for the ponytail, whereas the second body 221 may be a pouch to entirely cover the ponytail therein.
The string 222 may be disposed on at least a portion of the second body 221. The string 222 may wrap in a lattice (i.e. criss cross) pattern over the second body 221. The string 222 may prevent the second body 221 from unraveling.
The end fastener 223 may be disposed on at least a portion of the string 222. The end fastener 223 may prevent the string 222 from disconnecting from the second body 221.
The center fastener 230 may include a string, a rope, a wire, and a rubber band, but is not limited thereto.
The center fastener 230 may be disposed on at least a portion of the first body 111 between the first body 211 and/or the second body 221. The center fastener 230 may prevent the first body 211 and/or the second body 221 from unraveling therebetween.
Therefore, the head covering article 200 may protect the head and/or the hair of the user, such as during riding, cleaning, and/or performing yard work. Also, the head covering article 200 may cover the ponytail of the user.
FIG. 3A illustrates a side perspective view of a head covering article 300 as disposed on a user, according to another exemplary embodiment of the present general inventive concept.
FIG. 3B illustrates a front perspective view of a head covering article 300, according to another exemplary embodiment of the present general inventive concept.
The head covering article 300 may be constructed from at least one of cloth, metal, plastic, and rubber, etc., but is not limited thereto.
The head covering article 300 may include a head portion 310, a tail portion 320, a center fastener 330, and a face veil 340, but is not limited thereto.
The head portion 310 may include a first body 311 and a head fastener 312, but is not limited thereto.
The first body 311 may be constructed of cloth, such as cotton, polyester, polyester-cotton, rayon, and/or any combination thereof. As such, the first body 311 may facilitate movement of air therethrough. In other words, the first body 311 may be breathable.
Referring to FIG. 3B, the first body 311 is illustrated to have a triangular shape. The head fastener 312 may include a string, a rope, a wire, and a rubber band, but is not limited thereto.
The head fastener 312 may be disposed on at least a portion of each edge of the first body 311. Additionally, the head fastener 312 may be semi-rigid in structure. The second body 321 may be constructed of cloth, such as cotton, polyester, polyester-cotton, rayon, and/or any combination thereof. As such, the second body 321 may facilitate movement of air therethrough. In other words, the second body 321 may be breathable.
The second body 321 may include a hair aperture 321 a, but is not limited thereto.
The second body 321 may be disposed on at least a portion of the first body 311. The second body 321 may have an elongate shape. In other words, a length of the second body 321 may be greater than a length of the first body 311. However, a width of the first body 311 may be greater than a width of the second body 321.

The hair aperture 321 a may be disposed on at least a portion of an end of the second body 321. The hair aperture 321 a may receive an end of the hair of the user therethrough.
The string 322 may be disposed on at least a portion of the second body 321. The string 322 may wrap in a lattice (i.e. criss cross) pattern over the second body 321. The string 322 may prevent the second body 321 from unraveling.
The end fastener 323 may be disposed on at least a portion of the string 322. The end fastener 323 may prevent the string 322 from disconnecting from the second body 321.
Each of the plurality of body fasteners 324 may include a button, a snap, a clasp, a magnet, and/or any combination thereof, but is not limited thereto.
The plurality of body fasteners 324 may be longitudinally disposed on at least a portion of the second body 321. Each of the plurality of body fasteners 324 may be distanced from each other. Also, the plurality of body fasteners 324 may connect a first side of the second body 321 to a second side of the second body 321.
The center fastener 330 may include a string, a rope, a wire, and a rubber band, but is not limited thereto.
The center fastener 330 may be disposed on at least a portion of the first body 311 between the first body 311 and/or the second body 321. The center fastener 330 may prevent the first body 311 and/or the second body 321 from unraveling therebetween.
The face veil 340 may be disposed on at least a portion of the first body 311 and/or the second body 321. The face veil 340 may at least partially deform (i.e. bend, expand, stretch) to cover at least a portion of a face (e.g., nose, mouth, cheeks) and/or a neck of the user.
Therefore, the head covering article 300 may protect the head and/or the hair of the user, such as during riding, cleaning, and/or performing yard work. Also, the head covering article 300 may cover the ponytail of the user.
The present general inventive concept may include a head covering article 100, including a head portion 110 to cover a head of a user, and a tail portion 120 disposed on at least a portion of the head portion 110 to receive and wrap around a ponytail therein.
The head portion 110 may be elastic and at least partially deforms around the head of the user.
The head portion 110 may have a different material on an interior surface thereof to prevent at least one particle from moving from an outer surface to the interior surface.
The tail portion 120 may include a first body 111, and a head fastener 112 disposed on at least a portion of each edge of the first body 111 to assume a shape in response to being bent.
The tail portion 120 may include a second body 121, a string 122 disposed on at least a portion of the second body 121 to prevent the second body 121 from unraveling, and an end fastener 123 disposed on at least a portion of the string 122 to prevent the string 122 from disconnecting from the second body 121.
The tail portion 120 may further include a plurality of body fasteners 124 longitudinally disposed on at least a portion of the second body 121 to connect a first side of the second body 121 to a second side of the second body 121.
The second body 121 may include a hair aperture 121 a disposed on at least a portion of an end of the second body 121 to receive an end of the ponytail therethrough.
The second body 221 may include a hair aperture 221 a disposed on at least a portion of the second body 221 a between the head portion 210 and the second body 221 a to facilitate access to the ponytail.
The head covering article 100 may further include a center fastener 130 disposed on at least a portion of the head portion 110 between the head portion 110 and the tail portion 120 to prevent the head portion 110 and the tail portion 120 from unraveling therebetween.
The head covering article 300 may further include a face veil 340 disposed on at least a portion of the head portion 310 and the tail portion 320 to cover at least a portion of a face and a neck of the user.
Although a few embodiments of the present general inventive concept have been shown and described, it will be appreciated by those skilled in the art that changes may be made in these embodiments without departing from the principles and spirit of the general inventive concept, the scope of which is defined in the appended claims and their equivalents.

Claims

1. A head covering article, comprising:

a head portion to cover a head of a user;

a tail portion disposed on at least a portion of the head portion and is part of a structure of the head portion to receive and wrap around a ponytail therein; and

a center fastener comprising a wire disposed around at least a portion of the head portion between the head portion and the tail portion to prevent the head portion and the tail portion from unraveling therebetween.

2. The head covering article of claim 1, wherein the head portion is elastic and is configured to at least partially deform around the head of the user.

3. The head covering article of claim 1, wherein the head portion has a different material on an interior surface thereof to prevent at least one particle from moving from an outer surface to the interior surface.

4. The head covering article of claim 1, wherein the head portion comprises:

a first body; and

a head fastener disposed on at least a portion of each edge of the first body to assume a shape in response to being bent.

5. The head covering article of claim 1, wherein the tail portion comprises:

a second body;

a string disposed on at least a portion of the second body to prevent the second body from unraveling; and

an end fastener disposed on at least a portion of the string to prevent the string from disconnecting from the second body.

6. The head covering article of claim 5, wherein the tail portion further comprises:

a plurality of body fasteners longitudinally disposed on at least a portion of the second body to connect a first side of the second body to a second side of the second body.

7. The head covering article of claim 5, wherein the second body comprises:

a hair aperture disposed on at least a portion of an end of the second body to receive an end of the ponytail therethrough.

8. The head covering article of claim 5, wherein the second body comprises:

a hair aperture disposed on at least a portion of the second body between the head portion and the second body to facilitate access to the ponytail.

a face veil disposed on at least a portion of the head portion and the tail portion to cover at least a portion of a face and a neck of the user.

11. A head covering article, comprising:

a head portion to cover a head of a user;

a tail portion disposed on at least a portion of the head portion and is part of a structure of the head portion to receive and wrap around a ponytail therein, the tail portion comprising:

a second body comprising a hair aperture disposed between the head portion and the second body to facilitate access to the ponytail through the hair aperture and cover each other portion of the ponytail,

a string disposed on at least a portion of the second body to prevent the second body from unraveling, and

an end fastener disposed on at least a portion of the string to prevent the string from disconnecting from the second body; and
