Abstract

Provided is a double pillow provided with a cervical support, including an outer shell including first storage spaces formed on upper and lower sides respectively, and a second storage space formed between the first storage spaces, a cushion member filled in the first storage space, and a cervical support including neck cores inserted into the second storage space, formed at a center of the lower surface and a center of the upper surface, respectively, and having heights different from each other, and a headroom on which the head of the user is seated, in which the neck cores are formed to be higher than the height of the headroom such that the cushion member provides comfort and relaxation to provide high-quality sleep during sleep, and the C-curve of the user's cervical spine is efficiently maintained by the cervical support.

Description

    CROSS-REFERENCE TO RELATED APPLICATIONS
  • This application claims priority under 35 U.S.C. § 119 to Korean Patent Application No. 10-2020-0184665 filed in the Korean Intellectual Property Office on Dec. 28, 2020, the entire contents of which are hereby incorporated by reference.
  • TECHNICAL FIELD
  • The present disclosure relates to a double pillow with a cervical support, and more particularly, to a double pillow with a cervical support which provides high-quality sleep by providing comfort and relaxation, supports a neck of the user while sleeping and prevents neck flexion of the cervical spine when waking up, and efficiently maintains the C-curve of the cervical spine.
  • BACKGROUND
  • In general, it is very important to get a good night's sleep in a very comfortable state to maintain health, and for the pillow that is used to support the head as the most important part of the human body, in particular, it is the basic and most important factor for the good night's sleep to ensure proper cushioning force and height setting.
  • Regarding the pillow, the neck in the human body is an important connecting channel between the body and the head, where numerous nervous systems pass through, and when the cervical spine is not in the proper position, the nervous system passing through the cervical spine will be compressed, which not only causes direct pain but also causes disorders in the nervous system, making it impossible to get a good night's sleep.
  • Accordingly, Korean Patent Registration No. 10-1021355 discloses a functional pillow for cervical spine protection, in which cushion supports are individually arranged to support each part inside the pillow, so as to stably protect the head as well as the cervical spine and shoulder regions.
  • In addition, Korean Patent Laid-Open Publication No. 10-2020-0129686 discloses a pillow for protecting the cervical spine, in which a recess is formed in the center of the pillow to ensure that a back of the head of the user is stably seated and the cervical spine is maintained in a natural shape when the head is placed, in which the recess is formed in a shape of a rhombus, and a space is defined inside to be filled with medicines or fragrances, thereby utilizing the elastic restoring force imparted to the space to effectively protect the cervical spine and allow one to have a comfortable sleep.
  • However, according to the related arts described above, there is a problem that the curved surfaces of various shapes are fixed in size, such that it is difficult to suit users of different body shapes, and since the user has no choice but to sleep with a posture in one direction only when sleeping, when he or she lies on his side, the side of his ear or face is covered in close contact with the surface of the pillow, making him or her feel stuffy, which rather interferes with the good night's sleep.
  • It is to be noted that the background or related art described above is only for helping to understand the technical meaning of the present disclosure, and does not mean a technique widely known in the technical field to which the present disclosure pertains before the application of the present disclosure.
  • SUMMARY
  • In order to solve the problems described above, an object of the present disclosure to provide a double pillow having both a cushion pillow and a cervical support, which provides high-quality sleep by providing comfort and relaxation, supports a neck of the user while sleeping and prevents neck flexion of the cervical spine when waking up, and efficiently maintains the C-curve of the cervical spine.
  • In addition, an object of the present disclosure to provide a double pillow with a cervical support, which is formed such that a lower part of the head and face of the user is efficiently supported for the user's relaxation regardless of the bending position of the cervical support, and which can satisfy various body types of different users by providing shoulder spaces to prevent the shoulders from being interfered, and stably support the cervical spine while the user can be in any posture that he or she feels the most comfortable.
  • In addition, an object of the present disclosure is to provide a double pillow provided with a cervical support, which is formed such that the neck core portions have different heights from each other for selective use according to the height of the neck of the user.
  • In addition, the present disclosure provides a double pillow with a cervical support which solves the problem that the side of ear and face of the user is covered during use of the pillow and thus prevents the user from feeling stuffy, thereby providing a high-quality sleep.
  • It should be understood, however, that the scope of the present disclosure is not limited to the above and that the objects and effects which can be understood from the solution means and the embodiments of the present disclosure are also included therein even if not explicitly mentioned.
  • According to an embodiment of the present disclosure for achieving the above object, the disclosure may include an outer shell having first and second storage spaces, a cushion member filled in the first storage space, and a cervical support, such that the cushion member provides comfort and relaxation to provide high-quality sleep during sleep, and the C-curve of the user's cervical spine is efficiently maintained by the cervical support.
  • According to an embodiment of the present disclosure, the first storage spaces may be formed on upper and lower sides of the outer shell, respectively, and the second storage space may be formed between the first storage spaces.
  • According to an embodiment of the present disclosure, the cervical support may include a neck core inserted into the second storage space, formed at a center of a lower surface and at a center of an upper surface, respectively, and having heights different from each other, a headroom on which the head of the user is seated, and a face support that supports a face of the user.
  • According to an embodiment of the present disclosure, the neck core may be formed at a height higher than a height of the headroom.
  • According to an embodiment of the present disclosure, the face support may include a support side portion forming a peripheral surface and formed to gradually increase in height as it goes outward, a support central portion formed in a central portion of the support side portion and having a height lower than a height of the support side portion, a core connecting portion connecting the neck core and the face support, and a room connecting portion connecting the headroom and the face support.
  • According to an embodiment of the present disclosure, the support side portion may include upper and lower support side portions formed to gradually increase in height from one end portions to the other end portions, and outer support side portions formed to have a same height as the height of the other end portions of the upper and lower support side portions.
  • According to an embodiment of the present disclosure, the support central portion may be configured to be inclined while having a shape of an arc from an outer surface to an inner surface to allow a side of the face of the user to be seated.
  • According to an embodiment of the present disclosure, the neck core may further include a neck support portion having a predetermined curvature.
  • According to an embodiment of the present disclosure, the neck support portion may be configured such that an end portion is at a position higher than an end portion of the core connecting portion by a predetermined height, thus forming a boundary between the neck core and the face support.
  • According to an embodiment of the present disclosure, the neck core may include a lower neck core formed at the center of the lower surface and an upper neck core formed at the center of the upper surface.
  • According to an embodiment of the present disclosure, the lower and upper neck cores may be configured such that a contact portion of the neck support portion formed in the upper neck core is at a position higher than a contact portion of the neck support portion formed in the lower neck core.
  • According to an embodiment of the present disclosure, the headroom may further include a back head seating portion formed at a center, and on which a back of the head of the user is seated.
  • According to an embodiment of the present disclosure, the headroom may form a predetermined inclined surface such that its peripheral surface extends from the back head seating portion toward the neck core and the face support, while having a predetermined curvature.
  • According to an embodiment of the present disclosure, the cervical support may further include a shoulder contact portion for providing a predetermined space to allow close contact with shoulders of the user.
  • According to the embodiments of the present disclosure described above, the cushion pillows are provided on the upper and lower sides, and the cervical support is provided between the cushion pillows, so that during sleep, the cushion pillows provide comfort and relaxation to provide high-quality sleep, support the neck of the user and prevent neck flexion of the cervical spine when waking up from sleep, and efficiently maintain the C-curve of the cervical spine, thereby achieving the effect of providing high satisfaction to users of various preferences.
  • Further, according to an embodiment, by comfortably supporting the head of the user regardless of the bending position of the cervical support, there is the effect of satisfying different body types of users.
  • Further, according to an embodiment, there is the effect that a lower part of the head and face of the user is efficiently supported for the user's relaxation regardless of the bending position of the cervical support, and that it is possible to satisfy various body types of different users by providing shoulder spaces to prevent the shoulders from being interfered, and stably support the cervical spine while the user can be in any posture that he or she feels the most comfortable.
  • In addition, according to the embodiment of the present disclosure, there is the effect that the neck core portions have different heights from each other for selective use according to the height of the neck of the user.
  • In addition, according to the embodiment of the present disclosure, there is the effect that it is possible to stably support the cervical spine while the user can be in any posture he or she feels the most comfortable, and also prevent the phenomenon that the side of the face of the user is covered, so that the user does not feel stuffy when using the pillow and provided with high-quality sleep.

  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE DISCLOSURE
  • Hereinafter, preferred embodiments of the present disclosure will be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings. It should be noted that, when adding reference numerals to the components shown in the drawings, the same components, whether they are illustrated in the same drawing or different drawings, will be denoted by the same reference numerals. In the following description of the present disclosure, a detailed description of known functions and configurations incorporated herein will be omitted when it may make the subject matter of the present disclosure rather unclear.
  • In addition, it is to be understood that, unless specifically stated to the contrary, the term “comprise”, “include”, or “have” as used herein may mean that a corresponding component can be inherently included, and therefore, should be construed as meaning that other components may be additionally included rather than excluding the same, and all terms including technical or scientific terms have the same meaning as commonly understood by one of ordinary skill in the art to which this disclosure belongs, unless otherwise defined. Further, while describing the components of the present disclosure, “first,” “second,” “A,” “B,” “(a),” “(b)” and so on may be used. However, these are used solely for the purpose of distinguishing one component from another, and do not limit the nature, sequence or order of the corresponding components. When a certain component is stated as being “connected” or “coupled” to another component, it is to be understood that there may be yet another intervening component “connected” or “coupled between the two components, although the two components may also be directly connected or coupled to each other.
  • Hereinafter, embodiments of the present disclosure will be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings.
  • As illustrated, a double pillow provided with a cervical support according to an embodiment includes a cervical support 300 for a head of a user to be seated thereon during sleep, and which is configured to maintain a comfortable and correct sleeping posture while protecting a neck and the head, thereby preventing occurrence of neck flexion and ensuring that a C-curve of the cervical spine is efficiently maintained, a cushion member 200 provided on an upper side of the cervical support 300 and configured to provide comfort when the pillow is used, and an outer shell 100 enclosing the cervical support 300 and the cushion member 200 therein.
  • In an example, the outer shell 100 may be made of a fiber material with excellent ventilation, and may have a storage space 110 in which the cushion member 200 and the cervical support 300 are enclosed, and an open and close portion 120 to open and close the storage space 110.
  • As illustrated in FIG. 2, the open and close portion 120 may be formed as a normal zipper or button, but embodiments are not limited thereto, and may be designed in various ways by those skilled in the art as long as it has a structure capable of opening and closing the storage space 110.
  • In addition, the storage space 110 may be formed such that the cushion member 200 and the cervical support 300 are each independently stored from each other, and preferably, the storage space 110 may be configured such that it 110 may be divided into three layers, and regarding the open and close portion 120 for opening and closing the divided storage space 110, there may be one open and close portion 120 that opens and closes the divided spaces of the storage space 110 at once, but embodiments are not limited thereto, and there may be more than one open and close portions formed on one and the other sides of the outer shell 100, respectively.
  • That is, the open and close portion 120 of the present disclosure may include a first open and close portion 120 for opening and closing a first storage space 112, in which the first storage space 112 forms upper and lower sides of the divided storage space 110 and encloses the cushion member 200 therein, and a second open and close portion 130 for opening and closing a second storage space 114, in which the second storage space 114 forms a middle part of the divided storage space 110 and encloses the cervical support 300 therein.
  • The first and second storage spaces 112 and 114 may be formed as independent spaces by a separate separation sheet, and while the cushion member 200 and the cervical support 300 are described as being inserted into the first and second storage spaces 112 and 114, respectively, embodiments are not limited thereto.
  • Embodiments are not limited to the above, and the first and second open and close portions 130 and 140 described above may be formed in upper and lower sides of one side of the divided storage space 110 of the outer shell 100.
  • In addition, the storage space 110 may be formed such that the cushion member 200 and the cervical support 300 can be inserted into planes of the outer shell 100 orthogonal to each other, respectively. That is, the cushion member 200 may be inserted to a vertical plane of the outer shell 100, and the cervical support 300 may be inserted to a transversal plane of the outer shell 100.
  • The cushion member 200 is filled in the storage space 110 formed in the outer shell 100 and provides comfort to the user of the pillow, and it 200 may preferably be filled in the first storage space 112, and made of any of materials such as microfiber, down, or cool gel, but is not limited thereto.
  • As illustrated in FIGS. 3 to 9, the cervical support 300 includes a neck core 310 having lower and upper sides formed at different heights from each other, a headroom 330 on which the head of the user is seated, a face support 340 that supports the face of the user when the user lies on his side, and a shoulder contact portion 350 that provides a predetermined space to be in close contact with shoulders of the user when the pillow is used.
  • The neck core 310 is formed in the center of a lower surface 310 a of the cervical support 300 and the center of an upper surface 310 b of the cervical support 300, respectively, and extends from the headroom 330.
  • The neck core 310 is formed to have a height A higher than a height B of the headroom 330 to support the neck of the user to be seated thereon.
  • In addition, the neck core 310 includes a neck support portion 316 having a predetermined curvature.
  • In an example, as illustrated in the bottom view of FIG. 4, the neck support portion 316 is formed such that a front side central portion 316 a faces a rear side end portion 316 b, and is formed in an arc shape in which the arc is formed toward the outside of the cervical support 300, so that a natural cervical curve can be formed upon contact with the user's cervical spine.
  • In addition, both sides of the neck support portion 316 are connected to a core connecting portion 346 of the face support 340 to be described below, and an end portion connected to the core connecting portion 346 is formed higher than an end portion of the core connecting portion 346 by a certain height, thus forming a boundary 302 between the neck core 310 and the face support 340.
  • Accordingly, when the user turns sideways with his or her neck being supported on the neck core 310, the boundary 302 and the skin on the neck of the user come into contact with each other, which enables the user to recognize that he or she is deviating from the neck core 310.
  • As illustrated in FIG. 8, the neck core 310 is formed such that a lower neck core 312 and an upper neck core 314 have heights different from each other, so that the user can lie down while choosing a desired position of the pillow according to the user's physical condition without having to concern about whether it is upper and lower sides, and preferably, a contact portion 316 c of the neck support portion 316 formed on the upper neck core 314 is formed higher than a contact portion 316 c of the neck support portion 316 formed on the lower neck core 312.
  • The headroom 330 is formed in the central portion of the front side of the cervical support 300 so that the back of the head of the user is seated thereon, and includes an upper neck connecting portion 336 and a lower neck connecting portion 334 defining upper and lower end portions and forming an arc and connected to the upper neck core 314 and the lower neck core 312, respectively, and side connecting portions 338 forming a predetermined inclined surface on both sides, and connected to a room connecting portion 348 of the face support 340.
  • The headroom 330 includes a back head seating portion 332 recessed through the central portion of the cervical support 300, in which the back head seating portion 332 is configured to support it when the back of the head of the user is seated thereon, and the back head seating portion 332 is configured such that an upper end side thereof is formed 2 cm above the bottom surface of the headroom 330. However, embodiments are not limited thereto, and it goes without saying that the headroom 220 may be formed to have various heights.
  • In addition, the headroom 330 is formed such that the lower and upper neck connecting portions 334 and 336 and the room connecting portion 348 form a predetermined curvature, which prevents neck flexion and efficiently maintains the C-curve of the cervical spine when the back of the head of the user is seated.
  • That is, according to an embodiment, the headroom 330 is configured such that its peripheral surface forms a predetermined inclined surface from the back head seating portion 332 toward the neck core 310 and the face support 340, while having a predetermined curvature.
  • In addition, the side connecting portion 338 of the headroom 330 may preferably be formed such that, upon connecting to the room connecting portion 348, the boundary 302 described above can be formed.
  • The face supports 340 are formed on both sides of the headroom 330 in a shape corresponding to each other, and formed to be integrally connected to the neck core 310 and the headroom 330 such that the face of the user is positioned thereon when the user lies on his side. The face support 340 includes a support side portion 342, a support central portion 344, the core connecting portion 346, and the room connecting portion 348.
  • The support side portion 342 forms a periphery of the face support 340, and includes upper and lower support side portions 342 a and 342 b connected at one end portions thereof to the core connecting portion 346, in which the other end portions of the upper and lower support side portions 342 a and 342 b are connected to outer support side portions 342 c.
  • The upper and lower support side portions 342 a and 342 b are formed in a shape that gradually increases in height from one end portions to the other end portions, and the outer support side portions 342 c are formed to have the same height as the height of the other end portions of the upper and lower support side portions 342 a and 342 b, to stably support the side of the face when the user lies on his or her side.
  • The support central portion 344 is formed in the central portion of the support side portion 342, has a height lower than the height of the support side portion 342, and inclined while forming a shape of an arc from the outer surface to the inner surface.
  • The support central portion 344 is formed such that its peripheral end portion is at the same height as the support side portion 342 in response to the changing height of the upper and lower support side portions 342 a and 342 b, and is formed to be gradually lowered toward the center.
  • The core connecting portion 346 is configured to connect the neck support portion 316 and the face support 340 of the neck core 310, and in particular, to connect the front side central portion 316 a of the support side portion 342 and the neck support portion 316.
  • The core connecting portion 346 is configured in such a form that gradually increases in height from the neck support portion 316 toward the support side portion 342, and has a predetermined curvature.
  • The room connecting portion 348 includes an inclined surface extending from the side connecting portion 338 of the headroom 330 toward the support central portion 344, connecting the side connecting portion 338 and the support central portion 344, in which the inclined surface is formed in a shape an arc.
  • The shoulder supports 350 are formed on a flat surface and a bottom surface of the cervical support 300, respectively, and formed in shapes corresponding to each other, and includes an inclined surface extending from the face support 340 toward the neck core portion 310, while forming an inclination angle toward the headroom 330 side, to define a shoulder receiving space to receive the shoulders of the user when the user has his or her neck seated on the neck core 310.
  • Accordingly, when the user uses the double pillow according to the present disclosure, since the shoulders of the user are prevented from being caught on the cervical support 300, the user can be in any posture he or she feels most comfortable while his or her cervical spine can be stably supported.
  • The present disclosure has been described in detail. However, it should be understood that the detailed description and specific examples, while indicating preferred embodiments of the disclosure, are given by way of illustration only, and various changes and modifications within the scope of the disclosure will become apparent to those skilled in the art from this detailed description. Accordingly, the embodiments disclosed in the present disclosure are provided to explain, and not to limit a technical art of the present disclosure, and thus, the scope of the present disclosure is not limited. The scope of the present disclosure should be construed by the following claims, and every technical idea within the equivalent scope of the following claims should be construed to be included in the scope of the right of the present disclosure.

Claims (10)

What is claimed is:
1. A double pillow with a cervical support, comprising:
an outer shell having first and second storage spaces;
a cushion member filled in the first storage space; and
a neck core including neck support portions inserted into the second storage space, formed at a center of a lower surface and at a center of an upper surface, respectively, and having heights different from each other while having a predetermined curvature; a face support configured to support a face of a user; and a cervical support including a headroom on which a head of the user is seated, wherein the headroom has a predetermined inclined surface extending toward the neck core and the face support, and has a predetermined curvature, wherein
the outer shell has the first storage spaces on upper and lower sides of the outer shell, respectively, and the second storage space between the first storage spaces, each formed on surfaces orthogonal to the outer shell such that the cushion member and the cervical support are stored independently, respectively, and further has an open and close portion for opening and closing the first and second storage spaces at a same time.
2. The double pillow according to claim 1, wherein the neck core is formed at a height higher than a height of the headroom.
3. The double pillow according to claim 1, wherein the face support includes: a support side portion forming a peripheral surface and formed to gradually increase in height as it goes outward; a support central portion formed in a central portion of the support side portion and having a height lower than a height of the support side portion; a core connecting portion connecting the neck core and the face support; and a room connecting portion connecting the headroom and the face support.
4. The double pillow according to claim 3, wherein the support side portion includes upper and lower support side portions formed to gradually increase in height from one end portions to the other end portions, and outer support side portions formed to have a same height as the height of the other end portions of the upper and lower support side portions.
5. The double pillow according to claim 3, wherein the support central portion is configured to be inclined while having a shape of an arc from an outer surface to an inner surface to allow a side of a face of the user to be seated.
6. The double pillow according to claim 1, wherein the neck support portion is configured such that an end portion is at a position higher than an end portion of a core connecting portion formed in the face support by a predetermined height, thus forming a boundary between the neck core and the face support.
7. The double pillow according to claim 6, wherein the neck core includes a lower neck core formed at the center of the lower surface and an upper neck core formed at the center of the upper surface, wherein
the lower and upper neck cores are configured such that a contact portion of the neck support portion formed in the upper neck core is at a position higher than a contact portion of the neck support portion formed in the lower neck core.
8. The double pillow according to claim 1, wherein the headroom further includes a back head seating portion formed in a central portion, with an upper end surface formed 2 cm above a bottom surface of the headroom to allow the back of the head of the user to be seated.
9. The double pillow according to claim 8, wherein the headroom forms a predetermined inclined surface such that its peripheral surface extends from the back head seating portion toward the neck core and the face support, while having a predetermined curvature.
10. The double pillow according to claim 1, wherein the cervical support further includes a shoulder contact portion for providing a predetermined space to allow close contact with shoulders of the user.
