Abstract

A bag that has a handle and a handle grip section that are connected externally on the main body to be used for carrying. The bag has a support handle connected from the inner surface of the bag on the main body which is already connected to a handle so as to increase the carrying load capacity and a handle grip section formed on the support handle so as to connect the support handle to the main body.

Description

    CROSS-REFERENCE TO RELATED APPLICATIONS
  • Not applicable.
  • BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION 1. Field of the Invention
  • The present invention relates to a double-handle bag used for carrying materials purchased by consumers especially from supermarkets.
  • 2. Description of Related Art Including Information Disclosed Under 37 CFR 1.97 and 37 CFR 1.98
  • Today, single-handle paper bags are used for carrying purchased materials. Paper pouches and bags contain only one handle and when the bag is loaded exceeding a certain weight, this is the point where it breaks most.
  • It has been determined that 9 of the 10 first breaking points are at this handle point according to the first data in the load tests where samples from the bags received from the 4 most known local and national markets in the USA are exposed. The other bag that remained durable was broken simultaneously at both the handle and the body.
  • In the existing applications, there are usually handles which are connected to the internal surface or external surface of the bag. The load distributed on the handles allows the handles to separate from the bag body over time. It is required to make a new bag design so as to distribute the load on the bag in the best manner.
  • Paper bag handles are generally connected to the bag body through a narrow connection area. Ruptures or tears generally occur in these connection areas. Therefore, paper bags have short service life.
  • As a result of the research made on the subject, document numbered TR2013/15570, with the title of handled bag is encountered. The subject of application is a plastic container bag with a handle consisting of a strip attached to one side of the bag. Said bag is made of at least one film or support material with a label which has at least two holes and located close to said holes and is applied to the surface of the film facing the interior section of the bag and said handle is attached to said label from the outside of the bag in at least two areas, corresponding to the two holes of the film or support material. In said paper bag, there is a structure with double handles or a support handle.
  • As a result of the research made on the subject, document numbered TR2019/00899, with a title of a paper reservoir, particularly paper bag is encountered. This application relates to a paper reservoir, particularly a paper bag that has a mouth, at least two adhesive elements that can be individually activated to close the mouth, and at least one tearing element. In said paper bag, no structure with double handles or a support handle was encountered.
  • As a result, due to the abovementioned disadvantages and the insufficiency of the current solutions regarding the subject matter, a development is required to be made in the relevant technical field.
  • BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
  • The invention aims to solve the abovementioned disadvantages by being inspired from the current conditions.
  • The main aim of the invention is to convert the handle part into a double-handle condition compared to the currently used handled paper bags.
  • Another aim of the invention is to make the handle part and its surroundings that are most likely to rupture under heavy load, by means of the double handle, and to increase its strength.
  • Another aim of the invention is to carry more load than flat handled bags by means of double handles.
  • Another aim of the invention is to reduce the raw materials required for a stronger bag. Therefore, it facilitates to store and carry the pouches/bags at the places of use, while providing environmental benefits with less material consumption.
  • Another aim of the invention is to provide usage of fewer bags per user.
  • Another aim of the invention is to create an additional connection point to the bag on the unused side of the bag and to support the attachment point of the handle to the bag. Therefore, the load which is received from a single point on the bag handle is distributed over a wider area on the bag and it is provided that the bag handle can be resistant to higher loads and can be used for a long time.
  • Another aim of the invention is to prevent the rupture of bags in many workplaces especially in shops with the use of bags and to reduce the application of “double bagging”. Therefore, both environmental and economic gain is created.
  • The structural and characteristic features of the present invention will be understood clearly by the following drawings and the detailed description made with reference to these drawings and therefore the evaluation shall be made by taking these figures and the detailed description into consideration.

    DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
  • In this detailed description, the preferred embodiments of the inventive multi handle bag are described by means of examples only for clarifying the subject matter.
  • It relates to a bag (10) with handle (12) and handle grip section (14) which are connected externally on the main body (11) so as to be used for carrying as shown in FIG. 1. As a distinctive property, the bag (10) comprises a second support handle (13) connected from the inner surface of the bag (10) on the main body (11) which is already connected to a handle (12) so as to increase the carrying load capacity and a handle grip section (14) formed on the support handle (13) so as to connect the support handle (13) to the main body (11).
  • The bag body (11) is the member that forms the main structure of the bag (10), preferably made of paper. The handle (12) is the part that is mounted externally to the bag body (11) and causes the most breakage. The support handle (13) is the part that is mounted internally to the bag body (11) and causes the most breakage. The handle grip section (14) is the member that connects the support handle (13) and the handle (12) to the bag body (11).
  • There is a support part (15) positioned on the main body (11) that distributes the load transferred to the main body (11) of the bag (10) over the support handle (13) or handle (12) so as to prevent the support handle (13) or handle (12) from breaking from the main body (11). The support part (15) is the support element attached to the bag main body (11) internally or externally. Furthermore, it widens the attachment area of the attached handle grip (14) on the main body (11).
  • The load distributed on the handles (12) is divided into two by means of the support handle (13). Additional support handles (13) to the handles (12) ensure a more effective load distribution in the bag and allow it to be resistant to more load.
  • At least one further pair of support handles (13) are added to the handle in some bags (10). In general, these support handles (13) are attached to the bags (10) externally; sometimes they are attached to the bag (10) internally. In the present invention, a pair of support handles (13) made of plain paper is added to the section where no handle (12) is attached. While this attachment is made, the attachment surface area can also be expanded by bonding with an additional support part (15) to the area of attachment to the interior section of the bag (10). Paper can preferably be used as the support member (15). Therefore, the tearing area at the points where the handles (12, 13) of the bag (10) are attached is strengthened by providing a better distribution of the weight.
