- The disclosure relates to tablet case devices and more particularly pertains to a new tablet case device for securing a tablet to a person's waist.
- The prior art relates to tablet case devices. Existing cases protect tablets in a variety of ways and may include handle attachments. Known devices lack a way of wearing the tablet around a user's waist.
- An embodiment of the disclosure meets the needs presented above by generally comprising a case body having a case back side, a case sidewall, and a case lip extending from the case sidewall. The case sidewall and the case lip are elastically deformable to receive and secure a tablet within the case body. A plurality of belt attachments is coupled to the case body. Each belt attachment is coupled to an outer face of the case sidewall at a corner thereof. A belt is coupled to the plurality of belt attachments. The belt has a pair of attachment clips with each attachment clip being selectively engageable with the plurality of belt attachments.
- There has thus been outlined, rather broadly, the more important features of the disclosure in order that the detailed description thereof that follows may be better understood, and in order that the present contribution to the art may be better appreciated. There are additional features of the disclosure that will be described hereinafter and which will form the subject matter of the claims appended hereto.
- The objects of the disclosure, along with the various features of novelty which characterize the disclosure, are pointed out with particularity in the claims annexed to and forming a part of this disclosure.
- The disclosure will be better understood and objects other than those set forth above will become apparent when consideration is given to the following detailed description thereof. Such description makes reference to the annexed drawings wherein:
-
FIG. 1 is an isometric view of a waist belt tablet case apparatus according to an embodiment of the disclosure. -
FIG. 2 is a top plan view of an embodiment of the disclosure. -
FIG. 3 is an isometric view of an embodiment of the disclosure. -
FIG. 4 is a bottom plan view of an embodiment of the disclosure. -
FIG. 5 is an in-use view of an embodiment of the disclosure. - With reference now to the drawings, and in particular to
FIGS. 1 through 5 thereof, a new tablet case device embodying the principles and concepts of an embodiment of the disclosure and generally designated by thereference numeral 10 will be described. - As best illustrated in
FIGS. 1 through 5 , the waist belttablet case apparatus 10 generally comprises acase body 12 having acase back side 14, acase sidewall 16, and acase lip 18 extending from thecase sidewall 16. Thecase lip 18 may lie in a plane parallel with a plane of the case backside 14. Thecase sidewall 16 and thecase lip 18 are sufficiently elastically deformable to receive and secure atablet 20 within thecase body 12. Thecase back side 14 may have a plurality ofapertures 22 extending therethrough to expose features of thetablet 20. Thecase lip 18 may have acamera notch 24 to accommodate afront camera 26 of the tablet. - A plurality of
belt attachments 28 is coupled to thecase body 12. The plurality ofbelt attachments 28 may be fourbelt attachments 28. Eachbelt attachment 28 is coupled to anouter face 30 of the case sidewall at acorner 32 thereof. Anapex 34 of each belt attachment may be rounded. - A
handle 36 is coupled to thecase body 12. Thehandle 36 is coupled to theouter face 30 of the case sidewall. Thehandle 36 may be arcuate and coupled to abottom portion 38 of the case sidewall. Thehandle 36 may be dimensioned to be sufficiently large enough to be secured by the entirety of an adult's hand. - A
belt 40 is coupled to the plurality ofbelt attachments 28. Thebelt 40 has a pair ofattachment clips 42. Eachattachment clip 42 may have aU-shaped portion 44 and ahead portion 46 with a spring-loadedcatch arm 48. Thecatch arm 48 is selectively engageable with the plurality ofbelt attachments 28. Thebelt 40 is selectively engageable with any twobelt attachments 28 of the plurality of belt attachments to achieve the desired orientation of thetablet 20 relative the user. Thebelt 40 may include afirst half 50 having abuckle 52 and asecond half 54 having areceiver 56. Thebuckle 52 and thereceiver 56 are selectively engageable to more easily engage or disengage thebelt 40 onto the user's waist. The length of thefirst half 50 is selectively adjustable within thebuckle 52. - In use, the
tablet 20 is engaged within thecase body 12. The pair ofattachment clips 42 are then engaged with the desiredbelt attachments 28 depending on whether the user wants thetablet 20 secured in portrait or landscape orientation. Thebelt 40 is placed around the user's waist and thebuckle 52 is engaged in thereceiver 56. The user may thus drop thetablet 20 without fear of creating damage and may also carry thetablet 20 while keeping his or her hands free. - With respect to the above description then, it is to be realized that the optimum dimensional relationships for the parts of an embodiment enabled by the disclosure, to include variations in size, materials, shape, form, function and manner of operation, assembly and use, are deemed readily apparent and obvious to one skilled in the art, and all equivalent relationships to those illustrated in the drawings and described in the specification are intended to be encompassed by an embodiment of the disclosure.
- Therefore, the foregoing is considered as illustrative only of the principles of the disclosure. Further, since numerous modifications and changes will readily occur to those skilled in the art, it is not desired to limit the disclosure to the exact construction and operation shown and described, and accordingly, all suitable modifications and equivalents may be resorted to, falling within the scope of the disclosure. In this patent document, the word “comprising” is used in its non-limiting sense to mean that items following the word are included, but items not specifically mentioned are not excluded. A reference to an element by the indefinite article “a” does not exclude the possibility that more than one of the element is present, unless the context clearly requires that there be only one of the elements.
