Description
- The present invention seeks to provide improved briefcase features, equipment, and assemblies.
- A Briefcase that converts into a workstation via A SINGLE telescopic leg housed on the REAR FACE of the Briefcase. All other patents using a telescopic leg have two or more legs, most commonly, four legs. My advanced Briefcase only has one telescopic (extendable and retractable) leg that can be extended out to reach over three feet in height, complete with a chair for sitting and other features.
- Travelers and commuters have long used briefcases to carry various items. Professionals use briefcases to carry their important documents and supplies; however, briefcases have been limited in their usage to simply being a carrying case and a housing unit. All this will change as the advanced Briefcase can transform into a workstation where professionals can now do their assignments on their front steps, back porch, at a park sitting on a park bench, in a courtroom, or at the airport utilizing the workstation and the chair for sitting. NO OTHER briefcase has either single telescopic leg support or a chair, whereas our advanced Briefcase features both.
- The advanced Briefcase has two USB charging ports where users can simultaneously charge their cell phones and electronic devices. The advanced Briefcase features a rechargeable battery, a cup holder for beverages, a voice-activated-digital assistant application, a phone holder for hand-free talking, a portable chair for sitting, a workstation top surface that can extend down to create a larger workstation top surface, a Bluetooth speaker mounted onto the telescopic leg to play music and for hand-free talking, retractable wheels mounted onto the base of the telescopic leg for easy transportation while using the Briefcase as a workstation, wheels on the bottom of the Briefcase for easy traveling and a tablet computer for video conference, watching movies and any other usage of a Tablet computer all of which, including a briefcase having a SINGLE telescopic leg, is not readily available on traditional briefcases.
- The use of combination briefcases and a hard surface work table/workstation with a SINGLE telescopic leg is not known in the other patents, specifically, combination briefcase and workstation with a single telescopic leg.
- The use of combination briefcase and work table is known in the other patents. More specifically, the combination briefcase and work table heretofore devised and utilized consist basically of familiar, expected, and apparent structural configuration, notwithstanding the myriad of designs encompassed by the prior art developed to fulfill countless objectives and requirements.
- Known prior arts includes U.S. Pat. Nos. 7,593,222B2; 4,856,627; 6,068,355; 4,790,416; 5,242,218; 4,244,632; U.S. Pat. No. Des. 394,954; U.S. Pat. No. 6,811,006B1; U.S. Pat. No. 2010/0124013 A1; U.S. Pat. No. 2002/0057552 A1; and U.S. patent Ser. No. 00/759,3222B2.
- While these devices fulfill their respective particular objective and requirements, the patents mentioned above do not disclose a new briefcase with a SINGLE telescopic leg, a workstation top, a portable chair, Bluetooth speakers, and a Tablet computer. Prior art stopped solely as a housing unit for books and supplies. At the same time, mine advanced it by becoming a combination briefcase and work table with a workstation top via a single telescopic leg.
- A convertible briefcase has a first operative orientation in which it functions as a briefcase and a second operative orientation in which it functions as a SINGLE leg supported workstation. In a carrying or workstation, operative orientation, a Base Portion of the Briefcase is disposed substantially parallel to a Front Portion of the Briefcase. In this operative orientation, singular telescopic leg support structures are housed within a lower compartment of the Briefcase called the BASE PORTION. In a converted, workstation operative orientation, the single telescopic (extendable and retractable) leg support structures are in an extended mode perpendicularly away from the Briefcase to support the Briefcase on a support surface, such as a floor or any other base surface.
- All other patents using a telescopic leg have four legs, whereas my advanced Briefcase only has one telescopic (extendable and retractable) leg. The single extendable and retractable telescopic leg on the Briefcase's REAR FACE will be adjustable to reach different heights to suit each customer comfortably. The base of the telescopic leg will have a secure circular base to ensure sturdiness and stability on all surfaces. It will have four retractable wheels on the bottom (base) of the leg for easy transportation while used as a workstation.
- The advanced portable workstation briefcase will also have an extendable workstation top surface that can extend down on the left, the right, and the front sidewalls to create a larger workstation top surface to suit customers' needs and comfort. The Advanced Portable Workstation Briefcase will have two Bluetooth speakers mounted onto the single telescopic leg located on the Briefcase's rear face so the customer can listen to music while completing their work. The portable workstation briefcase will also have a rechargeable battery to power the two PORTABLE USB charging ports so customers can charge their cell phones and other electrical dives as well as a cup holder for hold consumer's beverages, a housing unit for the telescopic leg, a voice-activated-digital assistant application like Siri and Alexa manufactured by Apple and. Amazon respectively where users can ask questions and receive answers to their inquiries, a portable chair located in the Briefcase's Rear Face so the Briefcase's workstation can be utilized at any location while sitting down, a phone holder for hands-free talking, and a tablet computer on the FRONT PORTION of the Briefcase for internet usage, video conference call, to watch movies and other tablet computer usage.
- The dimensions of The Portable Workstation Briefcase related to its length and width will be 17 in. by 19 in. respectively and can be extended out via an extendable right and left sidewalls to 23 in by 25 in length and width. A first pair of extendable and retractable workstation top LEFT sidewalls, a second pair of extendable and retractable workstation top RIGHT sidewalls and a third pair of extendable and retractable workstation top FRONT sidewalls being hingedly connected to the Briefcase body; a REAR WALL, when unzipped, exposes the single telescopic leg, a single telescopic leg having a locking mechanism able to lock the telescopic leg at heights over 3 feet, and a telescopic (extendable and retractable) leg can be extended out to reach over three feet in height.
- The portable workstation Briefcase will have only one compartment. This compartment will be waterproof material/leather on the exterior but made of standards “Workstation” material on the inside bottom section. The Briefcase will have a combination lock on the outside and shaped in a square. Inside it will have a PORTABLE USB charging station, a cup holder for beverages, and a phone holder for hands-free talking. This compartment can be used to hold the customer's books, paperwork, pens and pencils, a phone, and anything that can fit in it. The workstation Base Portion is where the telescopic leg is housed.
