- An embodiment of the disclosure meets the needs presented above by generally comprising a panel that is formed into a cylinder for positioning around a beverage container. The panel has a first layer that is comprised of a thermally insulating material to inhibit thermal communication between the first layer and the beverage container. The panel has a second layer that is comprised of a fluid absorbent material to inhibit a user's hands from getting wet when holding the beverage container.
- There has thus been outlined, rather broadly, the more important features of the disclosure in order that the detailed description thereof that follows may be better understood, and in order that the present contribution to the art may be better appreciated. There are additional features of the disclosure that will be described hereinafter and which will form the subject matter of the claims appended hereto.
- The objects of the disclosure, along with the various features of novelty which characterize the disclosure, are pointed out with particularity in the claims annexed to and forming a part of this disclosure.
- The disclosure will be better understood and objects other than those set forth above will become apparent when consideration is given to the following detailed description thereof. Such description makes reference to the annexed drawings wherein:
-
FIG. 1 is a top perspective view of a beverage sleeve assembly according to an embodiment of the disclosure. -
FIG. 2 is a bottom view of an embodiment of the disclosure. -
FIG. 3 is a top view of an embodiment of the disclosure. -
FIG. 4 is a front view of an embodiment of the disclosure. -
FIG. 5 is a cross sectional view taken along line 5-5 ofFIG. 3 of an embodiment of the disclosure. -
FIG. 6 is a perspective in-use view of an embodiment of the disclosure. - With reference now to the drawings, and in particular to
FIGS. 1 through 6 thereof, a new sleeve device embodying the principles and concepts of an embodiment of the disclosure and generally designated by thereference numeral 10 will be described. - As best illustrated in
FIGS. 1 through 6 , thebeverage sleeve assembly 10 generally comprises apanel 12 that is formed into acylinder 14 such that thepanel 12 can be positioned around abeverage container 16. Thebeverage container 16 may be a drinking glass, a beverage can, a beverage bottle or any other cylindrical beverage container. Thepanel 12 has afirst layer 18 that is comprised of a thermally insulating material to inhibit thermal communication between thefirst layer 18 and thebeverage container 16. Additionally, thepanel 12 has asecond layer 20 that is comprised of a fluid absorbent material to inhibit a user's hands from getting wet when holding thebeverage container 16. Thefirst layer 18 may be comprised of viscose fabric and thesecond layer 20 may be comprised of polyester and olefin. Moreover, the viscose may comprise approximately 50.0 percent of thepanel 12, the polyester may comprise approximately 35.0 percent of thepanel 12 and the olefin may comprise approximately 15.0 percent of thepanel 12. - The
first layer 18 has afirst surface 22, asecond surface 24 and aperimeter edge 26 extending therebetween, and theperimeter edge 26 has atop side 28, abottom side 30, a firstlateral side 32 and a secondlateral side 34. Thefirst surface 22 abuts an outside 36 of thebeverage container 16. Thesecond layer 20 has aprimary surface 38, asecondary surface 40 and anouter edge 42 extending therebetween, and theouter edge 42 has anupper side 44, a lower side 46, a firstlateral side 48 and a secondlateral side 50. Theprimary surface 38 is bonded to thesecond surface 24 of thefirst layer 18 having theouter edge 42 of thesecond layer 20 being aligned with theperimeter edge 26 of thefirst layer 18. - The
panel 12 is wrapped upon itself having thefirst layer 18 of thefirst layer 18 overlapping and being bonded to thesecondary surface 40 of thesecond layer 20 along a line that is oriented parallel with the firstlateral side 48 of theouter edge 42 of thesecond layer 20. Each of thetop side 28 of theperimeter edge 26 and theupper side 44 of theouter edge 42 defines atop end 52 of thecylinder 14 defined by thepanel 12. Additionally, each of thebottom side 30 of theperimeter edge 26 and the lower side 46 of theouter edge 42 defines a bottom end 54 of thecylinder 14 defined by thepanel 12. Thepanel 12 may have a height ranging between approximately 4.0 inches and 6.0 inches and thecylinder 14 defined by thepanel 12 may have a diameter ranging between approximately 3.0 inches and 5.0 inches. As is most clearly shown inFIGS. 4 and 5 , thecylinder 14 defined by thepanel 12 may taper inwardly between thetop end 52 of thecylinder 14 and the bottom end 54 of thecylinder 14. - In use, the
beverage container 16 is slid into thecylinder 14 defined by thepanel 12 to inhibit thermal communication between thebeverage container 16 and a user's hand. Additionally, thesecond layer 20 of thepanel 12 absorbs moisture to inhibit the user's hand from getting wet. The materials of which thepanel 12 is constructed facilitate thepanel 12 to be laundered or washed. In this way thepanel 12 can be continuously reused on a variety of beverage containers. - With respect to the above description then, it is to be realized that the optimum dimensional relationships for the parts of an embodiment enabled by the disclosure, to include variations in size, materials, shape, form, function and manner of operation, assembly and use, are deemed readily apparent and obvious to one skilled in the art, and all equivalent relationships to those illustrated in the drawings and described in the specification are intended to be encompassed by an embodiment of the disclosure.
- Therefore, the foregoing is considered as illustrative only of the principles of the disclosure. Further, since numerous modifications and changes will readily occur to those skilled in the art, it is not desired to limit the disclosure to the exact construction and operation shown and described, and accordingly, all suitable modifications and equivalents may be resorted to, falling within the scope of the disclosure. In this patent document, the word “comprising” is used in its non-limiting sense to mean that items following the word are included, but items not specifically mentioned are not excluded. A reference to an element by the indefinite article “a” does not exclude the possibility that more than one of the element is present, unless the context clearly requires that there be only one of the elements.
