- The disclosure relates to shower devices and more particularly pertains to a new shower device for sanitary and convenient bathing and drying.
- The prior art relates to shower devices for assisted washing and drying. Most existing dryer devices require a full four-sided enclosure with a ceiling element as well. Existing devices operate separately from the water nozzle systems, and do not provide individual control of air release from each vent.
- An embodiment of the disclosure meets the needs presented above by generally comprising a wall configured to be coupled within a shower wall. The wall panel has a plurality of shower apertures and a plurality of blower apertures extending from a panel front side through a panel back side. A plurality of shower heads is coupled to the wall panel. The plurality of shower heads is coupled to the plurality of shower apertures and is configured to be in fluid communication with a hot water line and a cold water line. A plurality of shower controls is coupled to the wall panel. The plurality of shower controls is coupled adjacent the plurality of shower heads and is configured to be in operational communication with the hot water line and the cold water line. A plurality of blower heads is coupled to the wall panel. The plurality of blower heads is coupled to the plurality of blower apertures and is configured to be in fluid communication with a blower duct line connected to a blower. A plurality of blower controls is coupled to the wall panel. The plurality of blower controls is coupled adjacent the plurality of blower heads and is configured to be in operational communication with the blower duct line.
- There has thus been outlined, rather broadly, the more important features of the disclosure in order that the detailed description thereof that follows may be better understood, and in order that the present contribution to the art may be better appreciated. There are additional features of the disclosure that will be described hereinafter and which will form the subject matter of the claims appended hereto.
- The objects of the disclosure, along with the various features of novelty which characterize the disclosure, are pointed out with particularity in the claims annexed to and forming a part of this disclosure.
- The disclosure will be better understood and objects other than those set forth above will become apparent when consideration is given to the following detailed description thereof. Such description makes reference to the annexed drawings wherein:

Theshower door 26 is pivotably coupled to the openbox front side 14. Theshower door 26 may have adoor frame 28 and aglass door panel 30 coupled to thedoor frame 28. Ahandle 32 may be coupled to theglass door panel 30. - A pair of
wall panels 34 is coupled to theshower box 12. The pair ofwall panels 34 is coupled within the pair ofshower walls 18. The pair ofwall panels 34 may alternatively be configured to be coupled directly to the walls of a bathroom within a shower. Eachwall panel 34 has a plurality ofshower apertures 36 and a plurality ofblower apertures 38 extending from apanel front side 40 through apanel back side 42. Eachwall panel 34 may be rectangular prismatic. - A plurality of
shower heads 44 is coupled to eachwall panel 34. The plurality ofshower heads 44 is coupled to the plurality ofshower apertures 36 and is configured to be in fluid communication with ahot water line 46 and acold water line 48. Eachshower head 44 has a plurality ofwater nozzles 50 and ashower adjustment ring 52. Theshower adjustment ring 52 controls which of the plurality ofwater nozzles 50 are open and closed to adjust the spray pattern and pressure of water leaving theshower head 44. The plurality ofshower heads 44 may be arranged in a vertical array to directly spray the user's whole body with maximum pressure. - A plurality of
shower controls 54 is coupled to eachpanel 34. The plurality ofshower controls 54 is coupled adjacent the plurality ofshower heads 44 and is configured to be in operational communication with thehot water line 46 and thecold water line 48. Eachshower control 54 may comprise ahot water control 56 and acold water control 58 configured to control the flow of water from thehot water line 46 and thecold water line 48, respectively, to theadjacent shower head 44. Each of thehot water control 56 and thecold water control 58 may be ashower button 60 disposed on opposite sides of theshower head 44. Theshower button 60 may have an integrated timer to release water for a preset period of time after being depressed before automatically shutting off. - A plurality of
blower heads 62 is coupled to eachwall panel 34. The plurality ofblower heads 62 is coupled to the plurality ofblower apertures 38 and is configured to be in fluid communication with ablower duct line 64 connected to ablower 66. Theblower 66 may have an integrated heater to warm the air before being blown through theblower duct line 64. Eachblower head 62 has a plurality ofair nozzles 68 and ablower adjustment ring 70. Theblower adjustment ring 70 controls which of the plurality ofair nozzles 68 are open and closed to adjust the flow pattern and pressure of the air leaving theblower head 62. The plurality ofblower heads 62 may be arranged in a vertical array aligned with, and alternating between, the plurality ofshower heads 44 to directly blow onto the user's whole body with maximum pressure. Eachblower head 62 may be smaller than eachshower head 44. - A plurality of blower controls 72 is coupled to each
wall panel 34. The plurality of blower controls 72 is coupled adjacent the plurality of blower heads 62 and is configured to be in operational communication with theblower duct line 64. Eachblower control 72 may be ablower button 74 disposed adjacent therespective blower head 62 to release air as desired onto different parts of the user's body. Theblower button 74 may also have an integrated timer to run for a preset period of time. - In use, the user manipulates the plurality of shower controls 54 and the
shower adjustment ring 52 of eachshower head 44 to wash his body without significant bending. He or she may then use the plurality of blower controls 72 and theblower adjustment ring 70 of eachblower head 62 to dry off. - With respect to the above description then, it is to be realized that the optimum dimensional relationships for the parts of an embodiment enabled by the disclosure, to include variations in size, materials, shape, form, function and manner of operation, assembly and use, are deemed readily apparent and obvious to one skilled in the art, and all equivalent relationships to those illustrated in the drawings and described in the specification are intended to be encompassed by an embodiment of the disclosure.
- Therefore, the foregoing is considered as illustrative only of the principles of the disclosure. Further, since numerous modifications and changes will readily occur to those skilled in the art, it is not desired to limit the disclosure to the exact construction and operation shown and described, and accordingly, all suitable modifications and equivalents may be resorted to, falling within the scope of the disclosure. In this patent document, the word “comprising” is used in its non-limiting sense to mean that items following the word are included, but items not specifically mentioned are not excluded. A reference to an element by the indefinite article “a” does not exclude the possibility that more than one of the element is present, unless the context clearly requires that there be only one of the elements.
