Description

    FIELD OF THE INVENTION
  • The present disclosure relates to an electric bed, in particular to an electric bed having no bed board and being covered with a surface material.
  • BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
  • Traditional electric beds have the following forms. One is a structure that a bed board thereof is customized in size, and such structure requires the bed board, hinges, a mattress, and other materials to be collectively comprised therein, such that technical process and material costs are relatively high. Another one is a steel mesh structure, an appearance of which is not admirable as no material is covered thereon for a good look. In addition to these, there is also a structure that steel mesh thereof is additionally equipped with a covering, but an appearance thereof still cannot be guaranteed due to particularly complicated technical process of the structure.
  • Although the existing electric beds have a high degree of automation that an angle of the bed can be willfully adjusted according to one's wish to achieve a more comfortable resting posture, there are still the following problems: 1) the bed board requires to be pre-manufactured and has a high requirement on strength such that the manufacturing cost is relatively high; 2) lying experience is unpleasant, and thus a soft mattress is needed to be placed on the wooden bed board, which, however, is not convenient for folding and accommodation of the electric bed, such as a Chinese patent No. 201611021896.7 that discloses an electric folding bed and electric folding sofa-bed, in which a mattress is placed on a bed board of the folding bed and a latex mattress or a memory foam mattress is used as the mattress; and placement of the mattress requires additional mattress fixing means, such as a Chinese patent No. 201420384833.8 that discloses a mattress fixing device which is arranged at the tail of a bedframe to limit the longitudinal displacement of the mattress.
  • SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
  • In order to solve the problems in existing technologies, the present disclosure provides an electric bed having no bed board and being covered with a surface material, in which the surface material is directly tightened on an electric bedframe. Therefore, board adaptation can be freed of, and the surface material can be easily disassembled for clean.
  • An electric bed having no bed board and being covered with a surface material, including:
  • a foldable bedframe jointed through connectors and connected with bed legs;
  • overturningly foldable frames arranged on the bedframe;
  • a driving device arranged on the bedframe;
  • a surface material covered directly onto several frames and for wrapping a soft material; and
  • a tensioning mechanism for tensioning the surface material on a surface of the frames.
  • Further, the frames are made of several pieces, and are hinged with each other.
  • Further, the surface material is filled with a fluffy product, such as sponge, latex, rubber, cotton material, or polyester material, and an edge of the surface material is sewn with a center seam, inside which at least part of an embedded strip is inserted.
  • Further, the surface material may be a double layer or a single layer. When it is a double layer, the surface material may be filled with fluffy products therein, or a molded fluffy product may be directly covered on the frames. When it is a single layer, a molded fluffy product is directly covered on the frames.
  • Further, the tensioning mechanism includes pipes and embedded strips, wherein an embedded strip is at least partially inserted into a center seam that is at an edge of one end of the surface material, and a part of another embedded strip is connected to a center seam that is at an edge of the other end of the surface material. The embedded strip is placed inside a slot formed within the pipe.
  • Optionally, when the surface material is placed as a cover, an elastic plastic sheet may be added between the surface material and the frames to improve the overall flatness performance.
  • In a tensioned state, an embedded strip that is connected to one end of the surface material is limited within a limiting slot of a pipe arranged at one side, and another embedded strip that is connected to the other end of the surface material is limited within a limiting slot of another pipe arranged at the opposite side.
  • In a tensioned state, one side of the limiting slot limits one side or end of the embedded strip, and the opposite side of the limiting slot prevents the other side or end of the embedded strip from moving.
  • According to characteristics of the surface material, if the surface material is thin, the embedded strips can be applied directly. However, if a thickness of the surface material is too large so that the embedded strips cannot be rotated for tensioning, then it is required to add a clamp fastener to the pipe so as to strengthen and fix the surface material. In this way, a fixing strength can be increased, and replacement can also be carried out later.
  • If the surface material is thick, then in a tensioned state, one side of the limiting slot limits one side or end of the embedded strip, and a clamp fastener clamped into the limiting slot prevents the other side or end of the embedded strip from rotating.
  • According to the electric bed having no bed board and being covered with a surface material as provided by the present disclosure, the surface material having a soft-pack material is covered directly onto surface of iron racks, and a tensioning force is provided through a tensioning device on the iron racks. In this way, a surface of the surface material is ensured to be flat, disassembly of the surface material can be conveniently implemented without the aid of tools, and installation and fitting of the bed board can be freed of.
  • The present disclosure further provides a method for fixing a surface material on a surface of an electric bed, which is used to install a soft-pack surface material on the surface of the electric bed having no hard bed board, and the method includes:
  • inserting an embedded strip having hardness and elasticity into a center seam pre-sewn at an edge of the surface material;
  • pulling the embedded strip such that the surface material comes to a tensioned state;
  • inserting the embedded strip into a pipe having a limiting slot and located at an edge of a frame of the electric bed such that the embedded strip is stuck in the limiting slot within the pipe.
  • Further, the method for the embedded strip to be stuck inside the pipe includes rotating the embedded strip that is in a tensioned state in the limiting slot so that at least one side or end of the embedded strip is limited at one side of the limiting slot and the opposite side of the limiting slot prevents the other side or end of the embedded strip from moving.
  • Further, the method for the embedded strip to be stuck inside the pipe includes rotating the embedded strip that is in a tensioned state in the limiting slot so that at least one side or end of the embedded strip is limited at on one side of the limiting slot and a clamp fastener is clamped into the limiting slot to prevent the other side or end of the embedded strip from rotating.
  • By using the above technical solution, the present disclosure has the following beneficial effects:
  • 1) An entire bed can be framed by pipes with special shapes without use of wooden boards, thereby reducing material costs and optimizing the structural frame;
  • 2) The surface material is directly stuck in the slot through profiling of the pipes, thereby achieving a quick installation as well as a relatively straight and tight appearance;
  • 3) Installation and covering of the surface material can be completed without the aid of tools, and the surface material can be disassembled and cleaned;
  • 4) A decorative frame having a Z-shaped structure is used to facilitate installation and ensure the strength;
  • 5) A support connecting rod is directly welded by using a sheet metal, which not only reduces installation parts, but also improves the strength of the frame;
  • 6) A step screw, a plastic sleeve, and a plastic gasket are fitly used at a connection between the frames as well as at a rotatable joint such that a movement clearance is retained and no rotation noise is generated; and the rotatable joint is designed near a welding point of the frame to increase the strength.

  • As shown in FIGS. 1, 2, and 5, an electric bed having no bed board and being covered with a surface material includes:
  • a foldable bedframe 1 which is jointed through connectors 4 and connected with bed legs (not shown in the figure);
  • overturningly foldable frames 2 which are arranged on the bedframe 1;
  • a drive device 3 which is arranged on the bedframe 1;
  • a surface material 6 that is covered directly onto several frames 2 to wrap a soft material; and
  • a tensioning mechanism which tensions the surface material 6 onto a surface of the frames 2.
  • Further, the frames are made of several pieces of iron racks, and the iron racks are hinged with each other. A material of the frames may be replaced as required with other materials that have high strength, such as plastic.
  • Further, the iron rack is formed by jointing a plurality of staggered longitudinal rods and transverse rods, and may also be made of materials like other metal materials or high-strength composite plastic materials.
  • As shown in FIGS. 5 and 8, the surface material has a certain degree of elasticity and tension. When the surface material is a double-layer structure, it is filled with a fluffy product, such as sponge, latex, rubber, cotton products, or polyester products, and zippers, Velcro, or buttons may be arranged on the surface material for convenience of replacing and washing. Said sponge may be the ordinary sponge or other kinds of sponge like memory sponge or slow rebound memory sponge. Edges at two ends of the surface material 6 are sewn with center seams 61 into which at least a part of the tensioning mechanism is inserted. An embedded strip 7 is inserted into the center seam.
  • Further, when the surface material is double-layered, a molded fluffy product may be directly covered onto the iron rack.
  • Further, the number of surface materials is the same as the number of the iron racks, and the surface material is covered onto an upper surface of the iron rack.
  • Optionally, edges of the four sides of the surface material may be sewn with center seams, and the surface material can be further flattened through a tensioning pull from four directions.
  • Optionally, the surface material may have only one layer, and the fluffy product may be directly fixed on a surface of the iron rack through a tension of the tensioning mechanism.
  • Optionally, a thin plastic sheet may be provided between the surface material and the iron rack. The thin plastic sheet may be made of plastic or wood to make a plane flatter, and may also be fixed by means of tension. Elasticity of the plastic sheet may also help to provide a tension to the surface material.
  • Further, the surface material is preferably located on an upper surface of the frame, and may be also covered on both the upper surface and side surfaces of the frame. According to design needs, the surface material may be also covered on a portion of a lower surface.
  • Further, the tensioning mechanism includes pipes 21 and embedded strips 7. An embedded strip 7 is at least partially inserted into a center seam 61 that is at the edge of one end of the surface material 6, and a part of another embedded strip 7 is connected to a center seam 61 that is at the edge of the other end of the surface material 6. The embedded strip 7 is placed within a limiting slot 210 formed inside the pipe 21.
  • As shown in FIG. 3, the pipe is arranged at an edge of the frame, and preferably has a hollow structure. The limiting slot 210 for inserting the embedded strip is formed inside the pipe. Corners of an outer surface of the pipe are treated with a curved surface 211, and a notch of the limiting slot 210 and a connection to the outer surface of the pipe are also treated with curved surface 211. In this way, smooth transition of the surface material during tensioning can be ensured, the surface material will not be damaged when the surface material is tensioned and may have a sense of curve when the surface material is in a tensioned state. A width of the notch of the limiting slot 210 is smaller than a width of the limiting slot 210.
  • Further, the pipe is formed in one piece using a metal component, a high-strength plastic component, or other high-strength material.
  • Optionally, the limiting slot 210 has a structure with a shape like a circle, an ellipse, a rectangle, a trapezoid and the like. Other geometric shapes can also be used as long as that the embedded strip can be tightly stuck in the limiting slot when a position-limit function is enabled.
  • Optionally, the limiting slot may be provided with two pieces of baffles within the limiting slot as required to prevent a rotating motion of the embedded strip during the tensioned state.
  • Further, when the pipe is installed and connected, a direction of the notch of the limiting slot is downward. The direction of the notch may be vertically oriented, or may have a certain angle against the vertical.
  • Further, the pipe may serve as an element that constitutes the frame. Alternatively, the pipe may be fixed to an element on the edge of the frame. The pipe used for tensioning the surface material may be arranged horizontally, vertically, or both vertically and horizontally.
  • Further, the embedded strip is a long strip plate with good hardness and elasticity such that it is diagonally embedded in the limiting slot 210 when the surface material is tensioned, as shown in FIGS. 4 and 6.
  • Further, a width of the embedded strip is slightly smaller than a depth of the limiting slot 210, which ensures that the embedded strip can be stuck in the limiting slot when the strip is tensioned. The width of the embedded strip is slightly smaller than a width of the center seam.
  • Further, when the surface material is in the tensioned state, the embedded strip 7 is stuck in the limiting slot 210, and the embedded strip 7 moves from the notch of the limiting slot 210 and forms an angle against the notch, so that the embedded strip 7 does not fall off from the limiting slot 210.
  • Further, during covering of the surface material, the surface material 6 pulls the embedded strip 7 in the opposite direction due to the surface material 6 suffering a tight tension from the embedded strip 7. One end of the embedded strip 7 is stuck at one side within the limiting slot 210, and the other end of the embedded strip 7 is stuck at the opposite side within the limiting slot 210, such that the embedded strip 7 is diagonally embedded within the limiting slot 210 at this time.
  • In the tensioned state, an embedded strip that is connected to one end of the surface material is stuck within a limiting slot of a pipe arranged at one side, and the other embedded strip that is connected to the other end of the surface material is stuck within a limiting slot of the other pipe arranged at the opposite side.
  • In the tensioned state, the embedded strip is diagonally embedded within the limiting slot. Said side within the limiting slot limits at least one side or one end of the embedded strip, and the opposite side within the limiting slot stops the other side or the other end of the embedded strip from moving.
  • When the surface material is covered onto the frame, the embedded strip is inserted into a center seam arranged at one end of the surface material and is placed within a limiting slot of a pipe, and then another embedded strip is inserted into a center seam arranged at the other end of the surface material and is stretched to pull and insert this embedded strip into a limiting slot within another pipe. Due to suffering from a tight tension, the embedded strips at both ends are made to be stuck within the limiting slots in the pipes. At this time, the surface material is flat due to a tight tension from the embedded strips.
  • According to characteristics of the surface material, the embedded strips can be applied directly if the surface material is thin. However, if a thickness of the surface material is too large so that rotation of the embedded strip and relevant operation cannot be carried out due to a force required to rotate the embedded strip being too large, then a clamp fastener is added to the limiting slot of the pipe to strengthen fixing of the surface material. In this way, a fixing strength can be increased, and replacement can also be carried out later.
  • As shown in FIG. 7, the tensioning mechanism further includes a clamp fastener. A plastic clamp fastener 8 is clamped to the pipe, one end of which extends into the limiting slot 210, the other end of which is attached to the outer surface of the pipe 21. A part of a surface of the plastic clamp fastener 8 that is in the limiting slot is provided with stoppers 80 to prevent the plastic clamp fastener 8 from slipping out of the limiting slot 210 during a tensioned state.
  • In the tensioned state, one side of the limiting slot limits one side or one end of the embedded strip, and the clamp fastener clamped into the limiting slot prevents the other side or the other end of the embedded strip from rotating.
  • Further, as shown in FIG. 10, a rear support connecting rod 11 is provided between the iron rack at a foot end and the bedframe, one end of the rear support connecting rod 11 is connected to the bedframe 1 via a sheet metal 110, and the other end is connected to the frame. By using a sheet metal to be directly welded to the frame without adding an additional part to be installed on the bed board, strength of the frame can be increased and the installation can be facilitated.
  • Further, a shaft connection between the rear support connecting rod and the frame is implemented through screws or bolts. When the shaft connection is rotated, the rear support connecting rod is connected to the frame through a step screw 113, a plastic shaft sleeve 112, and a plastic gasket 111. The step screw or bolt strings in turn the plastic shaft sleeve and the plastic gasket. The plastic shaft sleeve is placed inside a through hole of the sheet metal corresponding to the frame. The plastic gasket is arranged on one side of the through hole. The shaft connection approach using the plastic shaft sleeve and the plastic gasket can retain a movement interval and also ensure that no rotation noise is generated.
  • As shown in FIG. 9, a decorative frame 5 is also provided on the frame. The decorative frame adopts a zigzag structure and is composed of an extending section 51, a connecting section 52, and an enter-in section 53. The decorative frame 5 is stuck in a steel frame structure of a reserved hole, inside of which is equipped with a plastic hole sleeve 22. The plastic hole sleeve 22 has a plastic stopper 23 that prevents the connecting section 52 of the decorative frame 5 from shaking. Connecting the decorative frame having a zigzag structure with the plastic hole sleeve can prevent scratches and facilitate disassembly.
  • The embedded strip of the present disclosure is inserted into the center seam that is pre-sewn in the surface material. The surface material has a certain elasticity or tension. Therefore, thanks to the elasticity that enables a certain length of the surface material to be pulled out such that the plastic strip could be tightly limited within the slot of the steel pipe, a tight effect is achieved.
  • According to the electric bed having no bed board and being covered with a surface material as provided by the present disclosure, the surface material having a soft-pack material is covered directly onto a surface of the iron rack, and a tensioning force is provided through a tensioning device on the iron rack. In this way, a surface of the surface material is ensured to be flat, disassembly of the surface material can be conveniently implemented without tools, and installation and fitting of the bed board can be freed of.
  • Bed legs of the present disclosure are connected to the bedframe. A bed leg bracket (not shown in the figure) is further provided at a folding joint of the bedframe. The bed leg at the folding site adopts a square pipe, and the bracket for fixing the bed leg is also a square pipe with a leg built-in sheet structure. A screw on the bed leg is fixed to the leg built-in sheet by rotating the bed leg. Installation in such a manner is simple, and connection thereof is reliable as well.
  • The present disclosure further provides a method for fixing a surface material on a surface of a folding electric bed, which is used to install a soft-pack surface material on the surface of the folding electric bed having no hard bed board, and the method includes:
  • inserting an embedded strip having hardness and elasticity into a center seam pre-sewn at an edge of the surface material;
  • pulling the embedded strip such that the surface material comes to a tensioned state;
  • inserting the embedded strip into a pipe having a limiting slot and located at an edge of a frame of the electric bed such that the embedded strip is stuck in the limiting slot within the pipe.
  • Further, the method for the embedded strip to be stuck inside the pipe includes that rotating the embedded strip that is in a tensioned state in the limiting slot so that at least one side or end of the embedded strip is limited at one side of the limiting slot and the opposite side of the limiting slot prevents the other side or end of the embedded strip from moving.
  • Further, the method for the embedded strip to be stuck inside the pipe includes that rotating the embedded strip that is in a tensioned state in the limiting slot so that at least one side or end of the embedded strip is limited at on one side of the limiting slot and a clamp fastener is clamped into the limiting slot to prevent the other side or end of the embedded strip from rotating.
  • The above embodiments are only preferred examples of the present disclosure, and do not constitute limitation to the scope of the present disclosure. Based on the present disclosure, those skilled in the art may conceive other embodiments that can achieve the same function within the protection scope of the attached claims of the present disclosure.
  • On the basis of the present disclosure, those skilled in the art may make multiple variations with respect to the tensioning mechanism, such as a shape of the limiting slot, a design of a limiting pattern, etc., and a shape of the embedded strip, as long as the embedded strip and the limiting slot of the pipe can fit together to limit the position, and may use an auxiliary material such as a clip fastener to limit the embedded strip within the limiting slot. Each of these will not be described further in the present disclosure.
  • An installation position of the pipe of the present disclosure can be changed as required, which will not be exemplified here further.
  • Those skilled in the art are familiar with various embodiments and various modifications and improvements.
