- The disclosure relates to insole devices and more particularly pertains to a new insole device for enhancing the odor of a shoe.
- The prior art relates to insole devices. The prior art discloses an insole that is comprised of a pair of laminar pieces. Additionally, the prior art discloses an insole that has odor absorbing properties. The prior art also discloses an insole which includes a plurality of layers, an odor eliminator and a fragrance. The prior art also discloses an insole for absorbing perspiration to inhibit blisters from forming. Additionally, the prior art discloses an insole that has an odor absorbing material integrated therein.
- An embodiment of the disclosure meets the needs presented above by generally comprising an insole that is insertable into a shoe. The insole is comprised of a resiliently compressible material to enhance comfort for a user wearing the shoe. Additionally, the insole is infused with a chemical odor eliminator to reduce odors associated with shoes. The insole is infused with a volatile chemical scent that is released from the insole to enhance the scent of the shoe. A cushion is coupled to the insole and the cushion is comprised of a resiliently compressible material to enhance comfort for the user.
- There has thus been outlined, rather broadly, the more important features of the disclosure in order that the detailed description thereof that follows may be better understood, and in order that the present contribution to the art may be better appreciated. There are additional features of the disclosure that will be described hereinafter and which will form the subject matter of the claims appended hereto.
- The objects of the disclosure, along with the various features of novelty which characterize the disclosure, are pointed out with particularity in the claims annexed to and forming a part of this disclosure.
- The disclosure will be better understood and objects other than those set forth above will become apparent when consideration is given to the following detailed description thereof. Such description makes reference to the annexed drawings wherein:
-
FIG. 1 is a top perspective view of a shoe insole assembly according to an embodiment of the disclosure. -
FIG. 2 is a bottom view of an embodiment of the disclosure. -
FIG. 3 is a cross sectional view taken along line 3-3 ofFIG. 1 of an embodiment of the disclosure. -
FIG. 4 is a phantom in-use view of an embodiment of the disclosure. - With reference now to the drawings, and in particular to
FIGS. 1 through 4 thereof, a new insole device embodying the principles and concepts of an embodiment of the disclosure and generally designated by thereference numeral 10 will be described. - As best illustrated in
FIGS. 1 through 4 , theshoe insole assembly 10 generally comprises aninsole 12 that is insertable into ashoe 14. Theshoe 14 may be a tennis shoe, a dress shoe, a boot or any other type of closed toe shoe. Theinsole 12 is comprised of a resiliently compressible material to enhance comfort for a user wearing theshoe 14. Moreover, theinsole 12 is comprised of a fluid absorbent material for absorbing perspiration. Theinsole 12 is infused with achemical odor eliminator 16 to reduce odors associated with shoes. Theinsole 12 is additionally infused with a volatilechemical scent 18 that is released from theinsole 12 to enhance the scent of theshoe 14. In this way odor associated with shoes that are frequently worn is reduced and the odor is covered with a pleasing scent. - The
insole 12 has aheel ridge 20 that extends upwardly therefrom for cradling the user's heel. Theinsole 12 has atop surface 22, abottom surface 24 and aperimeter edge 26 extending therebetween. Theperimeter edge 26 defines an elongated ovoid shape thereby facilitating theinsole 12 to conform to the sole of theshoe 14. Theheel ridge 20 is positioned on thetop surface 22 and theheel ridge 20 is aligned with theperimeter edge 26 and curves around arear end 28 of theinsole 12. - A
cushion 30 is coupled to theinsole 12 and thecushion 30 is comprised of a resiliently compressible material to enhance comfort for the user. Thecushion 30 has aheel portion 32 and atoe portion 34, and each of theheel portion 32 and thetoe portion 34 is comprised of a plurality of resilientlycompressible beads 36. Theheel portion 32 is aligned with the user's heel and thetoe portion 34 is aligned with the user's toes. In this way thecompressible beads 36 enhance cushioning at pressure points in theshoe 14. Thecushion 30 has anupper surface 38, alower surface 40 and aperipheral edge 42 extending therebetween. Theupper surface 38 is bonded to thebottom surface 24 of theinsole 12 and theperipheral edge 42 is aligned with theperimeter edge 26 of theinsole 12. - In use, the
insole 12 is inserted into theshoe 14 for reducing odors and for releasing a pleasing scent. Additionally, theinsole 12 enhances comfort of theshoe 14 for the user. Theinsole 12 can be removed from theshoe 14 at any time for washing theshoe 14 or repairing theshoe 14. Theinsole 12 can be replaced when the chemical fragrance is depleted or when theinsole 12 no longer reduces odors. - With respect to the above description then, it is to be realized that the optimum dimensional relationships for the parts of an embodiment enabled by the disclosure, to include variations in size, materials, shape, form, function and manner of operation, assembly and use, are deemed readily apparent and obvious to one skilled in the art, and all equivalent relationships to those illustrated in the drawings and described in the specification are intended to be encompassed by an embodiment of the disclosure.
- Therefore, the foregoing is considered as illustrative only of the principles of the disclosure. Further, since numerous modifications and changes will readily occur to those skilled in the art, it is not desired to limit the disclosure to the exact construction and operation shown and described, and accordingly, all suitable modifications and equivalents may be resorted to, falling within the scope of the disclosure. In this patent document, the word “comprising” is used in its non-limiting sense to mean that items following the word are included, but items not specifically mentioned are not excluded. A reference to an element by the indefinite article “a” does not exclude the possibility that more than one of the element is present, unless the context clearly requires that there be only one of the elements.
