Abstract

Hair accessory storage devices and methods to use and produce the same. An exemplary storage device includes a device body having a hanging flange present/defined therein at a relative upper end of the organization device, a vertical support structure extending from a portion of the hanging flange downward to or near a relative lower end of the organization device or a structure present at said relative lower end, and one or more first extension flanges extending horizontally and perpendicularly relative to the vertical support structure, the one or more first extension flanges comprising a plurality of upper vertical posts extending vertically, perpendicularly, and upward from said one or more first extension flanges, the one or more upper vertical posts configured to receive a plurality of hair bands/loops in a horizontal position.

Description

    PRIORITY
  • The present application is related to, and claims the priority benefit of, U.S. Provisional Patent Application Ser. No. 62/939,932, filed Nov. 25, 2019, the contents of which are incorporated herein directly and by reference in their entirety.
  • BACKGROUND
  • Various types of hair accessories, such as hair ties, scrunchies, hair bands/loops, hair bows, hair clips, headbands, barrettes, hair pins, elastics, sweatbands, loops, bandanas, scarves, and the like, are commonly used to retain hair portions in place and/or as decoration. It is common for any given individual to not only have one or more of these types of accessories, but also multiple colors, sizes, styles, etc., of each of said hair accessories.
  • There is not currently any product on the market that can be used to properly and effectively store said hair accessories in an aesthetically pleasing manner. Such a product would be well received in the marketplace.
  • BRIEF SUMMARY
  • The present disclosure includes disclosure of an organization device, a method of using an organization device, and a method of producing an organization device, as shown and/or described herein.
  • The present disclosure includes disclosure of an organization device, comprising a device body having a hanging flange present/defined therein at a relative upper end of the organization device, a vertical support structure extending from a portion of hanging flange 104 downward to or near a relative lower end of the organization device or a structure present at said relative lower end, and a) one or more first extension flanges extending horizontally and perpendicularly relative to the vertical support structure, the one or more first extension flanges comprising a plurality of upper vertical posts extending vertically, perpendicularly, and upward from said one or more first extension flanges, the one or more upper vertical posts configured to receive a plurality of hair bands/loops in a horizontal position, and/or b) one or more second extension flanges extending horizontally and perpendicularly relative to the vertical support structure, each of the one or more second extension flanges comprising an intermediate vertical post extending vertically, perpendicularly, and upward from said one or more second extension flanges, the one or more upper vertical posts configured to receive a plurality of additional hair bands/loops in a vertical position, and/or c) one or more third extension flanges extending horizontally and perpendicularly relative to the vertical support structure, each of the one or more third extension flanges having extension flange bodies that are relatively larger than bodies of the one or more first extension flanges, the one or more third extension flanges configured to receive a plurality of hair bands/loops in a vertical position, and/or d) a fourth extension flange extending from a lower portion/end of the vertical support structure, the fourth extension flange defining a plurality of wide accessory apertures and/or a plurality of narrow accessory apertures therethrough, each of the plurality of wide accessory apertures configured to receive a portion of a wide headband therethrough, and each of the plurality of narrow accessory apertures configured to receive a portion of a narrow headband therethrough; and/or one or more side hooks extending relatively horizontally and then relatively vertically from a portion of the organization device, the one or more side hooks configured to receive one or more accessories, such as a hat, a scarf, and/or one or more other accessories referenced herein.
  • The present disclosure includes disclosure of an organization device, comprising a device body having a hanging flange present/defined therein at a relative upper end of the organization device; a vertical support structure extending from a portion of the hanging flange downward to or near a relative lower end of the organization device or a structure present at said relative lower end; and one or more first extension flanges extending horizontally and perpendicularly relative to the vertical support structure, the one or more first extension flanges comprising a plurality of upper vertical posts extending vertically, perpendicularly, and upward from said one or more first extension flanges, the one or more upper vertical posts configured to receive a plurality of hair bands/loops in a horizontal position.
  • The present disclosure includes disclosure of an organization device, wherein the vertical support structure is present at a relative middle of the device, wherein the one or more first extension flanges comprises two first extension flanges, and wherein each extension flange of the two first extension flanges extends horizontally in opposite directions.
  • The present disclosure includes disclosure of an organization device, further comprising one or more second extension flanges extending horizontally and perpendicularly relative to the vertical support structure, each of the one or more second extension flanges comprising an intermediate vertical post extending vertically, perpendicularly, and upward from said one or more second extension flanges at or near a relative end of the one or more second extension flanges, the one or more second extension flanges configured to receive a plurality of additional hair bands/loops in a vertical position.

  • The present disclosure includes disclosure of an organization device, further comprising a fourth extension flange extending from a lower portion/end of the vertical support structure, the fourth extension flange defining a plurality of wide accessory apertures and/or a plurality of narrow accessory apertures therethrough, each of the plurality of wide accessory apertures configured to receive a portion of a wide headband therethrough, and each of the plurality of narrow accessory apertures configured to receive a portion of a narrow headband therethrough.
  • The present disclosure includes disclosure of an organization device, further comprising one or more side hooks extending relatively horizontally and then relatively vertically from a portion of the organization device, the one or more side hooks configured to receive one or more accessories thereon.
  • The present disclosure includes disclosure of an organization device, further comprising one or more elastic cords, the one or more elastic cords configured to engage the organization device through one or more of the plurality of narrow accessory apertures, whereby one or more hair accessories can be retained by the one or more elastic cords.

  • As such, an overview of the features, functions and/or configurations of the components depicted in the various figures will now be presented. It should be appreciated that not all of the features of the components of the figures are necessarily described and some of these non-discussed features (as well as discussed features) are inherent from the figures themselves. Other non-discussed features may be inherent in component geometry and/or configuration. Furthermore, wherever feasible and convenient, like reference numerals are used in the figures and the description to refer to the same or like parts or steps. The figures are in a simplified form and not to precise scale.
  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION
  • For the purposes of promoting an understanding of the principles of the present disclosure, reference will now be made to the embodiments illustrated in the drawings, and specific language will be used to describe the same. It will nevertheless be understood that no limitation of the scope of this disclosure is thereby intended.
  • The present disclosure includes disclosure of organization device embodiments and methods to use and produce the same. Various device embodiments of the present disclosure can be used to properly and effectively store said hair accessories in an aesthetically pleasing manner.
  • Exemplary embodiment of organization devices 100 of the present disclosure are shown in FIGS. 1 and 2. As shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, organization devices comprise a device body 102 having a hanging flange 104 present/defined therein at a relative upper end 106 of organization device 100. Hanging flange 104, as shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, may comprise an arcuate flange (a curved flange) or a loop or a clip configured to engage a closet rod, a doorknob, a post, an opening, etc., so that organization device 100 can be suspended therefrom.
  • Exemplary organization devices 100 of the present disclosure comprise a vertical support structure 110, extending from a portion of hanging flange 104 downward to or near a relative lower end 112 of organization device 100 or a structure present at said relative lower end 112. Organization devices 100 of the present disclosure, such as shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, further comprise one or more extension flanges extending from vertical support structure, such as one or more of extension flanges 120, 125, 130, 135, 140, 145, and/or 150, as described and/or shown herein.
  • Extension flanges 120, 125, such as shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, extend horizontally and perpendicularly relative to vertical support structure 110, and further comprises a plurality of upper vertical posts 122, said upper vertical posts 122 extending vertically and perpendicularly from extension flanges 120, 125, extending upward from extension flanges 120, 125. Organization device 100 embodiments can comprise a plurality of upper vertical posts 122, such as 2, 4, (as shown in FIGS. 1 and 2), 6, or more or fewer upper vertical posts 122, from each extension flange 120, 125. Extension flanges 120, 125 may extend on opposite “sides” of vertical support structure 110, such as shown in FIGS. 1 and 2. Upper vertical posts 122 of the present disclosure are configured (sized and shaped) to receive a plurality of hair bands/loops 300, such as the flexible, stretchable hair bands/loops 300 currently available in the marketplace which are configured to retain a quantity of hair at a location upon a wearer's head, such as shown in FIG. 3.
  • Exemplary organization devices 100 of the present disclosure can comprise extension flanges 130, 135, such as shown in FIGS. 1 and 2. As shown therein, extension flanges 130, 135 extend horizontally and perpendicularly relative to vertical support structure 110, and further comprise a single intermediate vertical post 132 on each extension flange 130, 135, said intermediate vertical post 132 extending vertically and perpendicularly from extension flanges 130, 135, extending upward from extension flanges 130, 135. Extension flanges 130, 135 may extend on opposite “sides” of vertical support structure 110, such as shown in FIGS. 1 and 2. Intermediate vertical posts 132 of the present disclosure are configured (sized and shaped) to allow one or more hair bands/loops 300 to be first positioned around intermediate vertical post 132 and then moved along extension flange 130 or 135 as desired. In such an embodiment, multiple hair bands/loops 300 can first be positioned around intermediate vertical post 132 and then placed along extension flange 130 or 135 such that said multiple hair bands/loops 300 are suspended from extension flange 130 or 135, such as shown in FIG. 3.
  • As such, and as shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, organization devices 100 of the present disclosure are configured to retain a first quantity of hair bands/loops 300 in a horizontal position (such as when said hair bands/loops 300 are positioned about upper vertical posts 122), and are configured to retain a second quantity of hair bands/loops 300 in a vertical position (such as when said hair bands/loops 300 are suspended from extension flanges 130, 135, such as shown in FIG. 3.
  • FIG. 1 shows an exemplary organization device 100 of the present disclosure comprising a first pair of extension flanges 130, 135. FIG. 2 shows an exemplary device 100 of the present disclosure comprising a first pair of extension flanges 130, 135 and a second pair of extension flanges 130, 135 positioned adjacent the first pair of extension flanges 130, 135. Extension flanges 130, 135 are shown positioned relatively below extension flanges 120, 125, as extension flanges 120, 125 support upper vertical posts 122 configured to receive hair bands/loops 300 from a relative top of said upper vertical posts 122, while extension flanges 130, 135 support intermediate vertical posts 132 primarily configured to initially receive hair bands/loops 300 prior to moving them so that they hang or are otherwise suspended from extension flanges 130, 135, while also being configured to prevent said hanging or otherwise suspended hair bands/loops 300 from sliding off of extension flanges 130, 135. In at least some embodiments, upper vertical posts 122 are relatively longer (taller) than intermediate vertical posts 132.
  • Organization devices 100 of the present disclosure, such as shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, can comprise extension flanges 140, 145 that have extension flange bodies 142, 147 that are relatively larger (thicker, taller, etc.) than extension flange bodies 134, 139, for example. Structural integrity of extension flanges 140, 145 may be more important than a structural integrity of extension flanges 130, 135, and/or the thickness/height of extension flanges 140, 145 may be more important than that of extension flanges 130, 135, as a) extension flanges 140, 145 are configured to hold larger items, and b) it is more visually pleasing to have said larger items line up (align) with one another. For example, and as shown in FIG. 3, hair bows 310 can be received upon extension flanges 140, 145, whereby said extension flanges 140, 145 are configured (sized and shaped) to receive said hair bows 310 and to maintain them in a relatively upright position, such as shown in FIG. 3.
  • Organization devices 100 of the present disclosure, such as shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, can comprise extension flange 150, which can also be considered as two potential extension flanges extending from opposite sides of vertical support structure 110 as well as being considered as one extension flange 150 extending from a lower portion/end of vertical support structure 110, noting that both interpretations can apply to any given embodiment. For purposes of discussion, extension flange 150 will be referenced herein in connection with FIGS. 1 and 2.
  • Extension flanges 150 of the present disclosure define a plurality of apertures therein, such as a plurality of wide accessory apertures 152 and/or a plurality of narrow accessory apertures 154, such as shown in FIGS. 1 and 2. Wide accessory apertures 152 have a larger width (are wider) as compared to the width of narrow accessory apertures 154. Wide accessory apertures 152 are sized and shaped to receive a portion of a wide headband 320 (or other accessories, such as scarves, bandanas, and the like) therethrough, and narrow accessory apertures 154 are sized and shaped to receive a portion of a narrow headband 330 (or other accessories, such as scarves, bandanas, and the like) therethrough, such as shown in FIG. 3. In some embodiments, wide accessory apertures 152 are positioned relatively above narrow accessory apertures 154, and in various embodiments, wide accessory apertures 152 are defined adjacent one another (such as in a first plane) and narrow accessory apertures 154 are defined adjacent one another (such as in a second plane), such as shown in FIG. 3.
  • Exemplary organization devices 100 of the present disclosure can comprise side hooks 160, 165, such as shown in FIG. 1. As shown therein, side hooks 160, 165 extend relatively outward and upward relative to a portion of organization device 100 (here shown as extending from extension flange 150, but noting it/they can extend from various other elements of organization device 100). Side hooks 160, 165 are configured to receive accessories sized and shaped to hang from said side hooks 160, 165, including, but not limited to, hats, scarves, or various other accessories as referenced herein.
  • As referenced herein, organization devices 100 of the present disclosure can have various flanges positioned at various locations about said organization devices 100. For example, organization devices 100 of the present disclosure can have one or more flanges 120, 125, one or more flanges 130, 135, one or more flanges 140, 145, and/or one or more flanges 150, as may be desired, such as shown in FIGS. 4, 5, 6, and 7.
  • FIGS. 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, and 13 show front, back, first side, opposite second side, top, and bottom views, respectively, of an exemplary organization device 100 of the present disclosure.

  • FIG. 26 shows an exemplary organization device 100 of the present disclosure, used in connection with one or more elastic cords 400 (such as elastic menu cords), comprising an elastic band 402 with barbed ends 404, whereby barbed ends 404 can be positioned within narrow accessory apertures 154, for example, to retain elastic cord 400 therein. Elastic cord 400 can then be used to retain one or more hair bands/loops 300 and/or one or more hair bows 310 thereon, effectuating additional storage capacity of said organization device 100.
  • FIG. 27 shows an exemplary organization device 100 of the present disclosure, used in connection with a basket 500, whereby basket hooks 502 of basket 500 can be positioned within narrow accessory apertures 154, for example, to removably secure basket 500 to organization device. Basket 500 can be used to retain any number and types of accessories, including, but not limited to, one or more hair bands/loops 300, one or more hair bows 310, one or more wide headbands 320, and/or one or more narrow headbands 330, for example.
  • Examplary organization devices 100 of the present disclosure can be configured with one or more extension flanges 120, 125, 130, 135, 140, 145, and/or 150 as may be desired.
  • An exemplary kit or system of the present disclosure can comprise one or more organization devices 100 along with one or more elastic cords 400 and/or one or more baskets 500.
  • Organization devices 100 of the present disclosure can be produced in any number of ways, such as via die-cut, three-dimensional (3D) printing, computer numerical control (CNC) routing, manual routing, die-cast, injection molding, and the like. Organization devices 100 can comprise any number of materials, such as plastic, wood, metal, glass, and/or combinations of the same.
  • Organization devices 100 of the present disclosure can be hung in a closet (such as via a closet rod), on a knob/doorknob, within an opening or slat, etc., and various hair accessories as referenced herein can be positioned/stored thereon.
  • Organization devices 100 of the present disclosure are configured to receive and/or retain various accessories, including but not limited to, hair ties, scrunchies, hair bands/loops, hair bows, hair clips, headbands, barrettes, hair pins, elastics, sweatbands, loops, bandanas, scarves, and the like.
  • While various embodiments of hair accessory storage devices and methods for using and producing the same have been described in considerable detail herein, the embodiments are merely offered as non-limiting examples of the disclosure described herein. It will therefore be understood that various changes and modifications may be made, and equivalents may be substituted for elements thereof, without departing from the scope of the present disclosure. The present disclosure is not intended to be exhaustive or limiting with respect to the content thereof.
  • Further, in describing representative embodiments, the present disclosure may have presented a method and/or a process as a particular sequence of steps. However, to the extent that the method or process does not rely on the particular order of steps set forth therein, the method or process should not be limited to the particular sequence of steps described, as other sequences of steps may be possible. Therefore, the particular order of the steps disclosed herein should not be construed as limitations of the present disclosure. In addition, disclosure directed to a method and/or process should not be limited to the performance of their steps in the order written. Such sequences may be varied and still remain within the scope of the present disclosure.

Claims (15)

1. An organization device, comprising:
a device body having a hanging flange present/defined therein at a relative upper end of the organization device;
a vertical support structure extending from a portion of the hanging flange downward to or near a relative lower end of the organization device or a structure present at said relative lower end; and
one or more first extension flanges extending horizontally and perpendicularly relative to the vertical support structure, the one or more first extension flanges comprising a plurality of upper vertical posts extending vertically, perpendicularly, and upward from said one or more first extension flanges, the one or more upper vertical posts configured to receive a plurality of hair bands/loops in a horizontal position.
2. The organization device of claim 1, wherein the vertical support structure is present at a relative middle of the device, wherein the one or more first extension flanges comprises two first extension flanges, and wherein each extension flange of the two first extension flanges extends horizontally in opposite directions.
3. The organization device of claim 1, further comprising:
one or more second extension flanges extending horizontally and perpendicularly relative to the vertical support structure, each of the one or more second extension flanges comprising an intermediate vertical post extending vertically, perpendicularly, and upward from said one or more second extension flanges at or near a relative end of the one or more second extension flanges, the one or more second extension flanges configured to receive a plurality of additional hair bands/loops in a vertical position.
4. The organization device of claim 3, further comprising:
one or more third extension flanges extending horizontally and perpendicularly relative to the vertical support structure, each of the one or more third extension flanges having extension flange bodies that are relatively larger than bodies of the one or more first extension flanges, the one or more third extension flanges configured to receive a plurality of hair bands/loops in a vertical position.
5. The organization device of claim 4, further comprising:
a fourth extension flange extending from a lower portion/end of the vertical support structure, the fourth extension flange defining a plurality of wide accessory apertures and/or a plurality of narrow accessory apertures therethrough, each of the plurality of wide accessory apertures configured to receive a portion of a wide headband therethrough, and each of the plurality of narrow accessory apertures configured to receive a portion of a narrow headband therethrough.
6. The organization device of claim 5, further comprising:
one or more side hooks extending relatively horizontally and then relatively vertically from a portion of the organization device, the one or more side hooks configured to receive one or more accessories thereon.
7. The organization device of claim 5, further comprising:
one or more elastic cords, the one or more elastic cords configured to engage the organization device through one or more of the plurality of narrow accessory apertures, whereby one or more hair accessories can be retained by the one or more elastic cords.
8. The organization device of claim 5, further comprising:
a basket configured to engage the organization device through one or more of the plurality of narrow accessory apertures, whereby one or more hair accessories can be retained within the basket.
9. The organization device of claim 5, forming part of a system or kit, the system or kit further comprising one or more elastic cords configured to engage the organization device through one or more of the plurality of narrow accessory apertures, whereby one or more hair accessories can be retained by the one or more elastic cords.
10. The organization device of claim 5, forming part of a system or kit, the system or kit further comprising a basket configured to engage the organization device through one or more of the plurality of narrow accessory apertures, whereby one or more hair accessories can be retained within the basket.
11. An organization device, comprising:
a device body having a hanging flange present/defined therein at a relative upper end of the organization device;
a vertical support structure extending from a portion of the hanging flange downward to or near a relative lower end of the organization device or a structure present at said relative lower end;
two first extension flanges extending horizontally and perpendicularly in opposite directions relative to the vertical support structure, each of the two first extension flanges comprising a plurality of upper vertical posts extending vertically, perpendicularly, and upward from said extension flanges, the one or more upper vertical posts configured to receive a plurality of hair bands/loops in a horizontal position;
two second extension flanges extending horizontally and perpendicularly in opposite directions relative to the vertical support structure, each of the two second extension flanges comprising an intermediate vertical post extending vertically, perpendicularly, and upward from said second extension flanges at or near a relative end of said second extension flanges, the two second extension flanges each configured to receive a plurality of additional hair bands/loops in a vertical position;
two third extension flanges extending horizontally and perpendicularly in opposite directions relative to the vertical support structure, each of the two third extension flanges having extension flange bodies that are relatively larger than bodies of two first extension flanges, the two third extension flanges configured to receive a plurality of hair bands/loops in a vertical position; and
a fourth extension flange extending from a lower portion/end of the vertical support structure, the fourth extension flange defining a plurality of wide accessory apertures and/or a plurality of narrow accessory apertures therethrough, each of the plurality of wide accessory apertures configured to receive a portion of a wide headband therethrough, and each of the plurality of narrow accessory apertures configured to receive a portion of a narrow headband therethrough.
12. The organization device of claim 11, further comprising:
one or more elastic cords, the one or more elastic cords configured to engage the organization device through one or more of the plurality of narrow accessory apertures, whereby one or more hair accessories can be retained by the one or more elastic cords.
13. The organization device of claim 11, further comprising:
a basket configured to engage the organization device through one or more of the plurality of narrow accessory apertures, whereby one or more hair accessories can be retained within the basket.
14. The organization device of claim 11, forming part of a system or kit, the system or kit further comprising one or more elastic cords configured to engage the organization device through one or more of the plurality of narrow accessory apertures, whereby one or more hair accessories can be retained by the one or more elastic cords.
15.
