- The disclosure will be better understood and objects other than those set forth above will become apparent when consideration is given to the following detailed description thereof. Such description makes reference to the annexed drawings wherein:
-
FIG. 1 is a top perspective view of a urination funnel assembly according to an embodiment of the disclosure. -
FIG. 2 is a right side in-use view of an embodiment of the disclosure. -
FIG. 3 is a bottom view of an embodiment of the disclosure. -
FIG. 4 is a front view of an embodiment of the disclosure. -
FIG. 5 is a top perspective view of an embodiment of the disclosure. -
FIG. 6 is a left side view of an embodiment of the disclosure. - With reference now to the drawings, and in particular to
FIGS. 1 through 6 thereof, a new funnel device embodying the principles and concepts of an embodiment of the disclosure and generally designated by thereference numeral 10 will be described. - As best illustrated in
FIGS. 1 through 6 , theurination funnel assembly 10 generally comprises apanel 12 that is positionable on abowl 14 of acommode 16. Thepanel 12 has an ovoid shape thereby facilitating thepanel 12 to conform to the shape of an opening in thebowl 14 of thecommode 16. Thecommode 16 may be aresidential commode 16, acommercial commode 16 or any other toilet that can be used by males for urination. Thepanel 12 is manufactured to have dimensions that correspond to the make and model of thecommode 16 on which thepanel 12 will be placed. - The
panel 12 has atop surface 18, abottom surface 20 and aperimeter edge 22 extending therebetween. Theperimeter edge 22 is continuously arcuate about a center point of thepanel 12. Moreover, thepanel 12 is elongated along a longitudinal axis extending between aforward end 24 and arearward end 26 of thepanel 12 such that theperimeter edge 22 defines the ovoid shape. Thebottom surface 20 rests on thebowl 14 of thecommode 16. Thepanel 12 has anopening 28 extending through thetop surface 18 and thebottom surface 20. Thus, urine can pass through theopening 28 to enter thebowl 14. The opening 28 is positioned closer to theforward end 24 than therearward end 26. - A
funnel 30 is coupled to thepanel 12 and thefunnel 30 extends upwardly from thepanel 12 when thepanel 12 is positioned on thebowl 14 of thecommode 16. In this way thefunnel 30 can be positioned for receiving urine from a male. Thefunnel 30 has a widenedmouth 32 to inhibit urine from splashing onto the floor or thecommode 16 when the male urinates into thefunnel 30. In this way thefunnel 30 and thepanel 12 serve to enhance cleanliness in area surrounding thecommode 16. - The
funnel 30 has abottom end 34, atop end 36 and anouter wall 38 extending therebetween. Theouter wall 38 tapers inwardly between thetop end 36 and thebottom end 34 such that thetop end 36 has a larger diameter than thebottom end 34. Thetop end 36 defines the widenedmouth 32 of thefunnel 30. Thefunnel 30 extends through theopening 28 in thepanel 12 having thebottom end 34 of thefunnel 30 being spaced from thebottom surface 20 of thepanel 12. - The
top end 36 has afront side 40 and aback side 42, and thetop end 36 has a raisedportion 44 extending along thefront side 40. Theouter wall 38 is curved such that thetop end 36 is angled toward theforward end 24 of thepanel 12. In this way thetop end 36 is directed toward the male for enhancing urinating into thefunnel 30. Thetop end 36 may have a diameter of approximately 12.0 inches. Additionally, thefunnel 30 may have a height of approximately 15.0 inches with respect to thetop surface 18 of thepanel 12. - In use, the
panel 12 is positioned on thebowl 14 of thecommode 16 when a lid on thecommode 16 has been opened. In this way thefunnel 30 is directed upwardly from thebowl 14. A male approaches thefunnel 30 and urinates into thefunnel 30. Moreover, thefunnel 30 inhibits the urine from splashing onto or around thecommode 16. In this way thefunnel 30 and thepanel 12 enhance the cleanliness of the bathroom in which thecommode 16 is placed. - With respect to the above description then, it is to be realized that the optimum dimensional relationships for the parts of an embodiment enabled by the disclosure, to include variations in size, materials, shape, form, function and manner of operation, assembly and use, are deemed readily apparent and obvious to one skilled in the art, and all equivalent relationships to those illustrated in the drawings and described in the specification are intended to be encompassed by an embodiment of the disclosure.
- Therefore, the foregoing is considered as illustrative only of the principles of the disclosure. Further, since numerous modifications and changes will readily occur to those skilled in the art, it is not desired to limit the disclosure to the exact construction and operation shown and described, and accordingly, all suitable modifications and equivalents may be resorted to, falling within the scope of the disclosure. In this patent document, the word “comprising” is used in its non-limiting sense to mean that items following the word are included, but items not specifically mentioned are not excluded. A reference to an element by the indefinite article “a” does not exclude the possibility that more than one of the element is present, unless the context clearly requires that there be only one of the elements.
