Abstract
A water bottle includes a spout including an externally threaded neck, two opposite first lugs at two sides of the externally threaded neck respectively, each first lug including a first hole, and an internally threaded cap secured to the externally threaded neck; a container including a body, two opposite second lugs at two sides of the body respectively, each second lug including a second hole, a hollow handle having two ends communicating with contents in the body, and a channel disposed between the handle and an intermediate portion of the body; and a strap including two rings at two ends respectively. The rings are hung on the first hole and the second hole of the same side of the body respectively or hung on the first holes respectively.
Description
- The invention relates to containers and more particularly to a bottle (e.g., water bottle) including a plurality of lugs having a hole in which two end rings of a strap are hung on two of the holes respectively.
- Conventionally, there are many different types of bottle strap or bands for hanging or suspending bottles (e.g., water bottles) or the like. However, the conventional devices are relatively complicated in construction and are difficult of securing to a neck of the bottle.
- Thus, the need for improvement still exists.
- The invention has been made in an effort to solve the problems of the conventional art including being relatively complicated in construction and difficult of securing to a neck of the bottle by providing a water bottle having novel and nonobvious characteristics.
- To achieve above and other objects of the invention, the invention provides a water bottle comprising a spout including a neck having at least one first lug formed integrally with the neck wherein the first lug includes a first hole.
- Preferably, further comprises a container including a body having at least one second lug formed integrally with the body wherein the second lug includes a second hole.
- Preferably, the spout is provided on the container, further comprising a strap hung on the container and the spout respectively, and a cap releasably secured to the neck, and wherein two ends of the strap are hung on the first lug and the second lug respectively.
- Preferably, the strap includes two rings at two ends respectively, the rings being hung on the first lug and the second lug respectively.
- Preferably, the body includes a hollow handle having two ends communicating with contents in the body, and a channel disposed between the handle and the body.
- Preferably, the container further comprises a cylindrical padded member disposed on the handle for increasing a degree of comfort to the hand holding the handle.
- Preferably, further comprises an anti-skid bowl-shaped member secured to a bottom of the body, and wherein the anti-skid bowl-shaped member is made of rubber or plastics.
- Preferably, further comprises a reflective sticker adhered to the body.
- Preferably, the neck is externally threaded and the cap is internally threaded and threadedly secured to the externally threaded neck.
- Preferably, the spout further comprises a support ring disposed in the neck and a replaceable filter disposed on the support ring.
- The invention has the following advantageous effects in comparison with the prior art: in movement, the individual may wear the strap on the body draping from one shoulder to the waist or carry the strap by the hand. In storage, the individual may hang the strap on a hook of a wall.
- The above and other objects, features and advantages of the invention will become apparent from the following detailed description taken with the accompanying drawings.
-
FIG. 1 is a perspective view of a water bottle according to a first preferred embodiment of the invention; -
FIG. 2 is a front view of the water bottle; -
FIG. 3 is a side elevation of the water bottle; -
FIG. 4 is an enlarged view of an upper portion, in part section of the water bottle ofFIG. 2 ; and -
FIG. 5 is a perspective view of a water bottle according to a second preferred embodiment of the invention showing another arrangement of the straps. - Referring to
FIGS. 1 to 4 , a water bottle in accordance with a first preferred embodiment of the invention comprises aspout 2 including an externally threadedneck 21, two oppositefirst lugs 22 at two sides of the externally threadedneck 21 respectively, eachfirst lug 22 including afirst hole 221, and an internally threadedcap 23 threadedly secured to the externally threadedneck 21; acontainer 1 including abody 11, two oppositesecond lugs 14 at two sides of thebody 11 respectively, eachsecond lug 14 including asecond hole 141, ahollow handle 13 having two ends communicating with water in thebody 11, and achannel 12 disposed between thehandle 13 and an intermediate portion of thebody 11; and astrap 3 including tworings 31 at two ends respectively, therings 31 being hung on thefirst hole 221 and thesecond hole 141 of the same side of thebody 11 respectively. - In use, an individual may remove the
cap 23 and put the bottle upside down to pour water out of thebody 11. In movement, the individual may wear thestrap 3 on the body draping from one shoulder to the waist or carry thestrap 3 by the hand. In storage, the individual may hang thestrap 3 on a hook of a wall. - The
spout 2 further comprises asupport ring 24 in theneck 21 and areplaceable filter 25 on thesupport ring 24 for water purification purpose. - The
container 1 further comprises a cylindrical paddedmember 16 on thehandle 13 for increasing a degree of comfort to the hand holding thehandle 13, an anti-skid bowl-shaped member 15 made of rubber or plastics and secured to a bottom of thebody 11, and areflective sticker 17 adhered to the intermediate portion of thebody 11 for safety purposes. - Referring to
FIG. 5 , a water bottle in accordance with a second preferred embodiment of the invention is shown. The characteristics of the second preferred embodiment are substantially the same as that of the first preferred embodiment except the following: therings 31 are hung on thefirst holes 221 of thespout 2 respectively. - While the invention has been described in terms of preferred embodiments, those skilled in the art will recognize that the invention can be practiced with modifications within the spirit and scope of the appended claims.
