Description
- This application claims the priority of Korean Utility Model Application No. 20-2019-0002702, filed on Jun. 27, 2019, the disclosure of which is hereby incorporated herein by reference in its entirety.
- The present invention relates to a hanger for a swimming cap and swimwear and more particularly, a hanger for a swimming cap and swimwear, to dry and store the wet swimming cap, swimsuit, swimming goggles, etc. which are washed and hung after use.
- Since many chemicals including chlorine are used in the water of an indoor swimming pool for cleanliness and hygiene and such chemicals contact the swimwear like a swimsuit, swimming cap and swimming goggles, the swimwear should be rinsed and washed with clean water after use, then dried and stored. If the wet swimwear is stored or washed with another laundry or rubber products, these may be contaminated. A swimming cap should be rinsed with clean water, dried and stored. Since a swimming cap is made of the materials like silicon and thus it cannot be dried using a warmer like an iron or a drier after washing, the swimming cap needs to be dried avoiding direct sunlight after water is partially removed from it by washing and shaking.
- However, up to now, most users wash swimming caps after use and hang them on drying racks or towel racks in bathrooms, to dry them. However, in the case of using a drying rack, since a swimming cap is dried as being folded or using a clothespin, the folded areas tend to stick to each other causing a damage or the inside of the swimming cap is not completely dried fostering mold growth or a bad smell. In the case of using a towel rack in a bathroom, it takes a long time for the swimming cap to dry since the bathroom is closed or the inside of the swimming cap is not completely dried since it is folded. Further, when a swimming cap and swimwear are hung on the towel rack, there is no room to hang a towel.
- The technique for hangers to hang or to dry the other goods than clothing has been shown in Korean Published U.M. Application No. 1998-17380 entitled “Drying rack and hanger for sneakers and bags” and Korean Published U.M. Application No. 1997-8010 entitled “Hanger for drying and keeping”. However, nothing has been found for hanging and drying the swimwear pieces including a swimming cap, swimsuit and swimming goggles. Further, when all the swimwear pieces are to be dried and stored in one spot, it is convenient for the next use. Nevertheless, there has been no special and practical hanger for this end.
- It is an object of the present invention to solve the above problems and to provide a hanger for a swimming cap and swimwear, in which after the wet swimming cap, swimsuit and swimming goggles are washed with clean water, all the swimwear pieces are hung to be dried and stored on one hanger, and specifically, the swimming cap is completely dried on the inside without being folded and changing in shape.
- In accordance with an embodiment of the present invention, there is provided a hanger for a swimming cap and swimwear which comprises: a frame section including a hook in a hook shape formed at the top of the hanger, inclines which are sloped downwardly towards both sides from the lower end of the hook, and sides which are respectively bent from the lower ends of the inclines and formed vertically; and an uneven section in the form of a tongue and a groove shape ( and ) positioned to be respectively connected to the lower ends of the sides of the frame section; and a cap receiving section including a pair of vertical parts which are vertically formed, spaced from each other at a regular interval, a round part which is in a round shape with an upper part being arced and connects the upper ends of the vertical parts, and a pair of horizontal parts which are respectively and outwardly bent from the lower ends of the vertical parts and have ends which are respectively connected to the sides of the frame section, wherein the cap receiving section is positioned inside of the frame section.
- The uneven section may comprise a straight rod or bar, instead of the tongue and groove shape ( and ) which is positioned to be connected to the lower ends of the sides of the frame section, and a plurality of short bars which are upwardly protruded at regular intervals from the straight bar or rod.
- According to the hanger for a swimming cap and swimwear of the present invention, since the cap receiving section vertically positioned is inserted inside a swimming cap, the swimming cap is spread without being folded so that a space is formed inside the swimming cap. Therefore, the swimming cap does not wrinkle upon drying and the inside and outside of the swimming cap are smoothly dried while the original shape of the swimming cap is maintained. Further, the uneven section (e.g., tongues & grooves or short bars) positioned at the bottom of the hanger is used to hang a string of a swimsuit or swimming goggles to be dried and stored. Since this enables all the swimwear to be hung on the single hanger for drying and storage, there is no need to try to locate the swimwear pieces upon the next use and therefore it is very convenient.
- The above and other features and advantages of the present invention will become more apparent to those of ordinary skill in the art by describing in detail the preferred embodiment(s) thereof with reference to the attached drawings in which:
-
FIG. 1 shows a hanger for a swimming cap and swimwear in accordance with the present invention; -
FIG. 2 shows the hanger with the swimwear; and -
FIG. 3 shows a different example of the hanger. -
-
[Description of numbers for constituents in drawings] 10: hanger 11: frame section 111: hook 112: incline 113: side 12: cap receiving section 121: horizonal part 122: vertical part 123: round part 13, 13′: uneven section (e.g., tongues & grooves, short bars) - The present invention will now be described more fully hereinafter with reference to the accompanying drawings.
- The technical features of a hanger for a swimming cap and swimwear according to the present invention are that: the swimming cap is spread without being folded so that the original shape of the swimming cap is maintained and the inside and outside of the swimming cap can dry, and the swimwear is collected at one spot to be dried and stored by the uneven section (e.g., tongues & grooves, or short bars) formed at the bottom of the hanger.
- The
hanger 10 for a swimming cap and swimwear according to the present invention comprises: aframe section 11 with ahook 111, anuneven section 13 to hang swimming goggles or swimsuits, and acap receiving section 12 to hang a swimming cap. - The
frame section 11 includes ahook 111, inclines 112 andsides 113. Thehook 111 in a question mark shape or hook shape is positioned at the top of theframe section 11, enabling the hanger to be hung on a certain place. Theframe section 11 may be formed with theinclines 112 integrally or separately. Theinclines 112 are respectively formed to be sloped in either sides from the lower end of thehook 111. Theside 113 is vertically formed by being curved from the lower end of each of theinclines 112. - The
uneven section 13 is formed in the tongue and groove ( and ) shape by alternating a tongue () and a groove () and positioned to be connected to the lower ends of both of thesides 113 of theframe section 11. The swimming goggles or swimsuit or swimwear pieces with a string are hung on the tongues and grooves ( and ) for drying and storage. - The
cap receiving section 12 to hang a swimming cap is positioned inside theframe section 11 and includes a pair ofhorizonal parts 121 and a pair ofvertical parts 122 and around part 123 connecting the upper ends of thevertical parts 122. The pair of thevertical parts 122 are vertically positioned, spaced a part from each other at a certain interval. The pair of thehorizonal parts 121 are bent outwardly from the end of thevertical parts 122 so that the bent ends of thehorizonal parts 121 are connected to thesides 113 of theframe section 11. Theround part 123 is formed in a round shape with an arced upper part and connects to the upper ends of thevertical parts 122. Theround part 123 and thevertical parts 122 of thecap receiving section 12 are inserted into an opening of the swimming cap so that the swimming cap is hung to be dried and stored. - Since the pair of the
vertical parts 122 are vertically positioned, it is easy to hang/take out the swimming cap on/from thecap receiving section 12. Since theround part 123 has the upper part which is arced, the shape of the swimming cap is not changed and the original shape thereof is maintained when the swimming cap is dried or stored at thecap receiving section 12. Since thevertical parts 122 and theround part 123 of thecap receiving section 12 are inserted into the swimming cap and a space is formed in the swimming cap while the swimming cap is spread without folding, the original shape of the swimming cap is maintained without wrinkles upon drying and the inside and outside thereof are smoothly dried. - Preferably, the
frame section 11, theuneven section 13 and thecap receiving section 12 are all made of a rod or bar which is uniform in thickness. Thecap receiving section 12 may be made of a flat member or a rod or bar which is in a grid shape. -
FIG. 3 is another example of the hanger, which is different from the hanger as described above with respect to the shape of the uneven section. In anuneven section 13′, a straight rod or bar is positioned to be connected to the lower ends of thesides 113 of theframe section 11 and a plurality of short bars are upwardly protruded at regular intervals on the straight rod or bar. Swimming goggles, swimsuits and swimming goods are hung on the short bars, to be dried and stored. - The invention has been described using preferred exemplary embodiments. However, it is to be understood that the scope of the invention is not limited to the disclosed embodiments. On the contrary, the scope of the invention is intended to include various modifications and alternative arrangements within the capabilities of persons skilled in the art using presently known or future technologies and equivalents. The scope of the claims, therefore, should be accorded the broadest interpretation so as to encompass all such modifications and similar arrangements.
