Abstract

A belt and tie holder system; the belt-and-tie-holder system includes an organizer assembly having a first-slat, a second-slat, and a third-slat. The second-slat is positioned in a center-position between the first-slat and the third-slat. The organizer assembly further includes a first-dowel-rod, a second-dowel-rod, and a hanger-hook. The first-dowel-rod and the second-dowel-rod are positioned at opposing ends of the first-slat, the second-slat, and the third-slat and maintain the first-slat, the second-slat, and the third-slat in positional-yet-spaced alignment to each other forming a first-gap between the first-slat and the second-slat and a second-gap between the second-slat and the third-slat. The organizer assembly is configured to receive and support belts, neckties and the like in a suspended position.

The present application is related to and claims priority to U.S. Provisional Patent Application No. 62/919,644 filed Mar. 25, 2019, which is incorporated by reference herein in its entirety.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

The following includes information that may be useful in understanding the present disclosure. It is not an admission that any of the information provided herein is prior art nor material to the presently described or claimed inventions, nor that any publication or document that is specifically or implicitly referenced is prior art.

TECHNICAL FIELD

The present invention relates generally to the field of accessory holders and organizers of existing art and more specifically relates to tie and belt organizers.

RELATED ART

Belts and neckties are both very commonly used. However, when it comes to storing and organizing belts and neckties, no effective means or devices exist. Current, common storage methods include rolling belts and necktie up and storing them away in drawers. However, the material of neckties can be stressed in that format, and silk ties are easily frayed just by their contact on a flat storing surface. Belts, even leather belts, suffer the same. The tension in a rolled-up form, not to mention buckle contact on the belt's surface, leave them subject to damage. A suitable alternative is desired.
U.S. Pat. No. 9,357,866 to Edward Allahverdian relates to a clip for hanging a necktie. The described clip for hanging a necktie is a closet hanger especially for neckties. The hanger features a novel plastic clip, which allows easy one-handed insertion and removal of ties. Each clip supports the tie with lateral elastic tension. A plurality of clips is arranged to allow ties to be hung face-to-face, saving space over hangers that support ties side-by-side. An adjustable hook screw secures the hanger fixedly in place on the rod.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

In view of the foregoing disadvantages inherent in the known tie and belt organizer art, the present disclosure provides a novel belt and tie holder system. The general purpose of the present disclosure, which will be described subsequently in greater detail, is to provide a clothing hanger configured for effective use with neckties and belts.
A belt and tie holder system is disclosed herein. The belt and tie holder system includes an organizer assembly having a first-slat, a second-slat, and a third-slat. The second-slat is positioned in a center-position between the first-slat and the third-slat. The organizer assembly further includes a first-dowel-rod, a second-dowel-rod, and a hanger-hook. The first-dowel-rod and the second-dowel-rod are positioned at opposing ends of the first-slat, the second-slat, and the third-slat and maintain the first-slat, the second-slat, and the third-slat in positional-yet-spaced alignment to each other forming a first-gap between the first-slat and the second-slat and a second-gap between the second-slat and the third-slat. The organizer assembly is configured to receive and support at least one accessory including neckties, belts and the like.

The various embodiments of the present invention will hereinafter be described in conjunction with the appended drawings, wherein like designations denote like elements.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION

As discussed above, embodiments of the present disclosure relate to tie and belt organizers and more particularly to a belt and tie holder system as used to improve the storage of clothing accessories including neckties and belts without risk of them falling from the structure, while maintaining their individual visibility to the user, and posing no risk of damage to the accessories.
Generally, belt and tie holder system responds to and corrects common problems associated with storage of clothing accessories, and in a format that is superior to other methods. The belt and tie holder system is a clothing hanger designed for use with neckties and belts. In improvement to other devices with such purposes, the belt and tie holder system suspends clothing accessories without risk of them falling from the structure, maintains their individual visibility to the user, and poses no risk of damage to said accessories. The belt and tie holder system preferably features three (3) slats of wood each measuring approximately seventeen inches in length by one and one-half inches in height by three-eighths of one inch in depth (17″×1½″×⅜″), and two (2) dowels that maintain the wood slats in positional-yet-spaced alignment to each other. The dowels are approximately a two-inch length by half-inch diameter (2″×½″), and are flush-mounted perpendicularly at points of one-inch (1″) distance from the end points of the slats, allowing gaps of seven-sixteenths of an inch ( 7/16″) between the slats.
A hanger hook is also featured which projects perpendicularly from the top-center of the center-positioned wood slat. The hanger hook may be used to suspend the device in a closet. The hanger hook may rotate for the user to easily see the belts and ties within both gaps. The belt and tie holder allow for belts and ties to be easily organized, clearly visible, and allows easy access. The device ensures the buckle of certain belt designs, like slider belts, extends straight upward when hosted within the invention. The belt and tie holder system may be produced in variation to offer additional storage capability for accessories, such as but not limited to jewelry, hats and electronic devices.
More specifically, the present invention effectively eliminates the common problem of belts and ties falling from its hosting structure. Additionally, the dowel rods ensure belts and ties cannot slide off the ends. By preventing belts and neckties from falling from its structure, belt and tie holder system prevents the need to pick up said belts and neckties. Additionally, by preventing belts and neckties from falling from its structure, and thereby preventing the need to pick up those accessories, belt and tie holder system provides additional benefit to those who may suffer from mobility limitations. Ties are held in place as they are draped over the slats which means more of the tie is in contact with the slat which prevents them from slipping off. The hanger head of the belt and tie holder system may or may not include a frictional rubber coating. The belt and tie holder system may be provided in various sizes and shapes. The gaps between the slats of the belt and tie holder system may also vary in width. The product can be made out of various materials such as woods, plastics, metals and any combination thereof. In a preferred embodiment, cedar is used as there are numerous benefits to cedar such as absorption of moisture and smells, as well as it's natural pleasing scent. The belt and tie holder system may include various decorative implements to enhance its appearance and/or theme design, such as but not limited to golf icons and clothing icons.
A user may simply drape neckties over individual slats of the belt and tie holder system from the length-centers of these ties. Belts may be inserted between the gaps of individual slats, with the buckles of said belts serving as braces that maintain their support without falling through these gaps. The belt and tie holder system can then host these neckties and belts without risk of their falling from its hosting structure. A user may select a belt and/or necktie from the belt and tie holder system without having to move them in order to fully see them. Upon that selection, the user can retrieve the desired belt and/or necktie without risk of dropping others from the hosting structure.
Referring now more specifically to the drawings by numerals of reference, there is shown in FIGS. 1-5, various views of a belt and tie holder system 100.
FIG. 1 shows a belt and tie holder system 100 during an ‘in-use’ condition 150, according to an embodiment of the present disclosure. Here, the belt and tie holder system 100 allows for belts and ties to be easily organized, clearly visible, and allows for easy access. As illustrated, the belt and tie holder system 100 may include an organizer assembly 110 having a first-slat 112, a second-slat 114, and a third-slat 116. The second-slat 114 is positioned in a center-position between the first-slat 112 and the third-slat 116. The organizer assembly 110 further includes a first-dowel-rod 120, a second-dowel-rod 122, and a hanger-hook 124. The first-dowel-rod 120 and the second-dowel-rod 122 are positioned at opposing ends of the first-slat 112, the second-slat 114, and the third-slat 116 and maintain the first-slat 112, the second-slat 114, and the third-slat 116 in positional-yet-spaced alignment to each other forming a first-gap between the first-slat 112 and the second-slat 114 and a second-gap between the second-slat 114 and the third-slat 116. The organizer assembly 110 is configured to receive and support at least one accessory 10 including belts and neckties. The first-gap and the second-gap are sized to allow passage of neckties and belts while preventing passage of a belt buckle.
FIG. 2 shows the belt and tie holder system 100 of FIG. 1, according to an embodiment of the present disclosure. As above, the belt and tie holder system 100 may include the organizer assembly 110 having the first-slat 112, the second-slat 114, and the third-slat 116, and the first-dowel-rod 120 and the second-dowel-rod 122 which maintain the first-slat 112, the second-slat 114, and the third-slat 116 in positional-yet-spaced alignment to each other. The first-dowel-rod 120 and the second-dowel-rod 122 may be secured in position using adhesive. In a preferred embodiment, the first-slat 112, the second-slat 114, and the third-slat 116 comprise a cedar wood material however, in other embodiments, various alternative materials including woods such as but not limited to maple and bamboo, plastics, metals and any combination thereof may be used. Cedar is the preferred material as there are numerous benefits to cedar such as absorption of moisture and smells, as well as it's natural pleasing scent. In this version, the components may be held in place by clear-drying wood adhesive. Other suitable fastening means may also be used.
FIG. 3 is an exploded view of the belt and tie holder system 100 of FIG. 1, according to an embodiment of the present disclosure. As shown, the belt and tie holder system 100 includes the organizer assembly 110 comprising the first-slat 112, the second-slat 114, and the third-slat 116, the first-dowel-rod 120, the second-dowel-rod 122, and the hanger-hook 124. The first-slat 112, the second-slat 114, and the third-slat 116 each contain apertures 118 at the opposing ends configured to receive the first-dowel-rod 120 and the second-dowel-rod 122 respectively. The organizer assembly 110 further includes four slat support braces 128 each having a brace-aperture 130. The brace-aperture 130 is substantially similar in diameter to the apertures 118 of the first-slat 112, the second-slat 114, and the third-slat 116 and are in alignment with the apertures 118 of the first-slat 112, the second-slat 114, and the third-slat 116. The first-dowel-rod 120 and the second-dowel-rod 122 comprise a dowel-diameter allowing for insertion of the first-dowel-rod 120 and the second-dowel-rod 122 through each of the brace-aperture 130 and the apertures 118 of the first-slat 112, the second-slat 114, and the third-slat 116. The belt and tie holder system 100 may feature additional slat support braces 128 or stabilizers in lieu of or in conjunction with the first-dowel-rod 120 and the second-dowel-rod 122. The slat support braces 128 include a first-set of slat support braces 132 and a second-set of slat support braces 134. The first-set of slat support braces 132 are positioned between the first-slat 112 and the second-slat 114 at opposing ends, and the second-set of slat support braces 134 are positioned between the second-slat 114 and the third-slat 116 at opposing ends. The belt and tie holder system 100 may be used to hold scarfs, shoulder throws, brassieres, and many other clothing accessories in addition to and/or separate from belts and neckties.
FIG. 4 is a bottom perspective view of the belt and tie holder system 100 of FIG. 1, according to an embodiment of the present disclosure. The belt and tie holder system 100 includes the organizer assembly 110 comprising the first-slat 112, the second-slat 114, and the third-slat 116, the first-dowel-rod 120, the second-dowel-rod 122, and the hanger-hook 124. The hanger-hook 124 projects perpendicularly from a top-center midpoint of the second-dowel 122. The hanger-hook 124 may be in a fixed-position or may be configured to rotate. In certain embodiments of the belt and tie holder system, the organizer assembly 110 includes additional slats. The belt and tie holder system 100 may include a various number of slats. In a preferred embodiment, the first-slat 112, the second-slat 114, and the third-slat 116 each comprise a length of approximately 17 inches, a height of 1.5 inches and a depth of three-eighths of one inch. Additionally, the first-slat 112, the second-slat 114, and the third-slat 116 are each rounded at their lengthwise endpoints.
FIG. 5 is a perspective view of the belt and tie holder system 100 of FIG. 1, according to an embodiment of the present disclosure featuring the organizer assembly 110 provided for storage and organization of various accessories 10. The belt and tie holder system 100 allows neckties and belts to be evenly distributed throughout the planes of its slats, unlike other devices that tend to group ties and belts together. By allowing neckties and belts to be evenly distributed, the belt and tie holder system 100 allows said neckties and belts to be fully visible to a user. By allowing neckties and belts to be fully visible, the belt and tie holder system 100 makes it easier to see and select desired neckties and belts. In certain versions, top planes of each or any slat of the belt and tie holder system 100 may be textured, and to provide frictional support for neckties. The belt and tie holder system 100 may feature a various number of dowel rods, which may be positioned in various locations. The belt and tie holder system 100 may include projecting studs and/or hooks on the exterior planes of its outer slats. The belt and tie holder system 100 may be produced in variation with compartments, which may or may not be closeable, and which may or may not be fabric lined, to store accessories, such as but not limited to tie clips, cuff links, shirt collar stays, and jewelry. Additionally, the belt and tie holder system 100 may be produced with a supporting stand and/or in versions designed to be secured over a door and/or to a wall.
The embodiments of the invention described herein are exemplary and numerous modifications, variations and rearrangements can be readily envisioned to achieve substantially equivalent results, all of which are intended to be embraced within the spirit and scope of the invention. Further, the purpose of the foregoing abstract is to enable the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and the public generally, and especially the scientist, engineers and practitioners in the art who are not familiar with patent or legal terms or phraseology, to determine quickly from a cursory inspection the nature and essence of the technical disclosure of the application.

Claims

What is claimed is new and desired to be protected by Letters Patent is set forth in the appended claims:

1. A belt and tie holder system, the belt and tie holder system comprising:

an organizer assembly comprising

a first-slat, a second-slat, and a third-slat, said second-slat is positioned in a center-position between said first-slat and said third-slat;

a first-dowel-rod;

a second-dowel-rod; and

a hanger-hook;

wherein said first-dowel-rod and said second-dowel-rod are positioned at opposing ends of said first-slat, said second-slat, and said third-slat and maintain said first-slat, said second-slat, and said third-slat in positional-yet-spaced alignment to each other forming a first-gap between said first-slat and said second-slat and a second-gap between said second-slat and said third-slat; and

wherein said organizer assembly is configured to receive and support at least one accessory.

2. The belt and tie holder system of claim 1, wherein said first-slat, said second-slat, and said third-slat comprise a wood material.

3. The belt and tie holder system of claim 1, wherein said first-slat, said second-slat, and said third-slat each contain apertures at said opposing ends configured to receive said first-dowel-rod and said second-dowel-rod respectively.

4. The belt and tie holder system of claim 3, wherein said organizer assembly further comprises four slat support braces.

5. The belt and tie holder system of claim 4, wherein said slat support braces each comprise a brace-aperture.

6. The belt and tie holder system of claim 5, wherein said brace-aperture is substantially similar in diameter to said apertures of said first-slat, said second-slat, and said third-slat and are in alignment with said apertures of said first-slat, said second-slat, and said third-slat.

7. The belt and tie holder system of claim 6, wherein said first-dowel-rod and said second-dowel-rod comprise a dowel-diameter allowing for insertion of said first-dowel-rod and said second-dowel-rod through each of said brace-aperture and said apertures of said first-slat, said second-slat, and said third-slat.

8. The belt and tie holder system of claim 7, wherein said slat support braces include a first-set of slat support braces and a second-set of slat support braces, said first-set of slat support braces are positioned between said first-slat and said second-slat at opposing ends, and said second-set of slat support braces are positioned between said second-slat and said third-slat at opposing ends.

9. The belt and tie holder system of claim 7, wherein said first-dowel-rod and said second-dowel-rod are secured in position using adhesive.

10. The belt and tie holder system of claim 1, wherein said first-gap and said second-gap are sized to allow passage of neckties and belts while preventing passage of a belt buckle.

11. The belt and tie holder system of claim 1, wherein said hanger-hook projects perpendicularly from a top-center midpoint of said second-dowel.

12. The belt and tie holder system of claim 11, wherein said hanger-hook is in a fixed-position.

13. The belt and tie holder system of claim 11, wherein said hanger-hook is configured to rotate.

14. The belt and tie holder system of claim 1, wherein said first-slat, said second-slat, and said third-slat each comprise a length of approximately 17 inches, a height of 1.5 inches and a depth of three-eighths of one inch.

15. The belt and tie holder system of claim 1, wherein said first-slat, said second-slat, and said third-slat are each rounded at their lengthwise endpoints.

16. The belt and tie holder system of claim 1, wherein said first-slat, said second-slat, and said third-slat further comprise a textured coating for frictional support.

17. The belt and tie holder system of claim 1, wherein said organizer assembly includes additional storage-hangers extending therefrom.

18. The belt and tie holder system of claim 1, further comprising additional slats.

19. The belt and tie holder system of claim 1, further comprising at least one storage compartment.

20. A belt and tie holder system, the system comprising:

an organizer assembly comprising

a first-dowel-rod;

a second-dowel-rod; and

a hanger-hook;

wherein said first-dowel-rod and said second-dowel-rod are positioned at opposing ends of said first-slat, said second-slat, and said third-slat and maintain said first-slat, said second-slat, and said third-slat in positional-yet-spaced alignment to each other forming a first-gap between said first-slat and said second-slat and a second-gap between said second-slat and said third-slat;

wherein said organizer assembly is configured to receive and support at least one accessory;

wherein said first-slat, said second-slat, and said third-slat comprise a wood material;

wherein said first-slat, said second-slat, and said third-slat each contain apertures at said opposing ends configured to receive said first-dowel-rod and said second-dowel-rod respectively;

wherein said organizer assembly further comprises four slat support braces;

wherein said slat support braces each comprise a brace-aperture;

wherein said brace-aperture is substantially similar in diameter to said apertures of said first-slat, said second-slat, and said third-slat and are in alignment with said apertures of said first-slat, said second-slat, and said third-slat;

wherein said first-dowel-rod and said second-dowel-rod comprise a dowel-diameter allowing for insertion of said first-dowel-rod and said second-dowel-rod through each of said brace-aperture and said apertures of said first-slat, said second-slat, and said third-slat;

wherein said slat support braces include a first-set of slat support braces and a second-set of slat support braces, said first-set of slat support braces are positioned between said first-slat and said second-slat at opposing ends, and said second-set of slat support braces are positioned between said second-slat and said third-slat at opposing ends;

wherein said first-dowel-rod and said second-dowel-rod are secured in position using adhesive;

wherein said first-gap and said second-gap are sized to allow passage of neckties and belts while preventing passage of a belt buckle;

wherein said hanger-hook projects perpendicularly from a top-center midpoint of said second-dowel;

wherein said first-slat, said second-slat, and said third-slat each comprise a length of approximately 17 inches, a height of 1.5 inches and a depth of three-eighths of one inch; and

wherein said first-slat, said second-slat, and said third-slat are each rounded at their lengthwise endpoints.
