The upper foam insert and the lower foam insert are configured to receive a perfume bottle therebetween.
  • There has thus been outlined, rather broadly, the more important features of the disclosure in order that the detailed description thereof that follows may be better understood, and in order that the present contribution to the art may be better appreciated. There are additional features of the disclosure that will be described hereinafter and which will form the subject matter of the claims appended hereto.
  • The objects of the disclosure, along with the various features of novelty which characterize the disclosure, are pointed out with particularity in the claims annexed to and forming a part of this disclosure.
  • BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF SEVERAL VIEWS OF THE DRAWING(S)
  • The disclosure will be better understood and objects other than those set forth above will become apparent when consideration is given to the following detailed description thereof. Such description makes reference to the annexed drawings wherein:
  • FIG. 1 is an isometric view of a protective perfume case according to an embodiment of the disclosure.
  • FIG. 2 is a side elevation view of an embodiment of the disclosure.
  • FIG. 3 is a top plan view of an embodiment of the disclosure.
  • FIG. 4 is a cross-sectional view of an embodiment of the disclosure along line 4-4 of FIG. 1.
  • FIG. 5 is an isometric view of an embodiment of the disclosure.
  • FIG. 6 is an isometric view of an embodiment of the disclosure.
  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
  • With reference now to the drawings, and in particular to FIGS. 1 through 6 thereof, a new perfume case embodying the principles and concepts of an embodiment of the disclosure and generally designated by the reference numeral 10 will be described.
  • As best illustrated in FIGS. 1 through 6, the protective perfume case 10 generally comprises a top case 12 that has a top perimeter 14. The top perimeter 14 has a channel 16 and a top back edge 18. The channel 16 has a first rectangular profile 20 and may have an inner groove 22. The top case 12 forms an upper cavity 24. The protective perfume case 10 further comprises a bottom case 26 that has a bottom perimeter 28. The bottom perimeter 28 has a lip 30 that has a second rectangular profile 32 substantially conforming to the first rectangular profile 20 of the channel. The second rectangular profile 32 has an inner nub 34 to engage the inner groove 22. The lip 30 is selectively engageable within the channel 16 of the top perimeter. The bottom perimeter 28 has a bottom back edge 36 and a bottom front edge 38. The bottom case 26 forms a lower cavity 40. Each of the top case 12 and the bottom case 26 are one of, but not limited to, rectangular prismatic or semi-cylindrical shapes.
  • A hinge 42 is coupled to each of the top case 12 and the bottom case 26 and is coupled to the top back edge 18 and the bottom back edge 36. The hinge 42 allows the top case 12 to pivot relative the bottom case 26 between a closed position 44 with the lip 30 selectively engaged within the channel 16 and an alternate open position 46 with the top perimeter 14 and the bottom perimeter 28 being coplanar.
  • A plurality of hinge springs 48 may be coupled to the hinge 42 with each of the plurality of hinge springs 48 engaging each of the top case 12 and the bottom case 26 to maintain the closed position 44. A closure 50 is coupled to the bottom front edge 38 of the bottom case 26. The closure 50 is selectively engageable with the top case 12 to maintain the closed position 44. An upper foam insert 52 is coupled within the upper cavity 24 of the top case 12. The upper foam insert 52 has an upper bottle cutout 54. A lower foam insert 56 is coupled within the lower cavity 40 of the bottom case 26. The lower foam insert 56 has a lower bottle cutout 58. The upper foam insert 52 and the lower foam insert 56 are configured to receive a perfume bottle 60 within the upper bottle cutout 54 and the lower bottle cutout 58.
  • In use, the perfume bottle 60 is inserted in the lower bottle cutout 58 and the top case 12 is moved to the closed position 44 to protect the perfume bottle 60.
  • With respect to the above description then, it is to be realized that the optimum dimensional relationships for the parts of an embodiment enabled by the disclosure, to include variations in size, materials, shape, form, function and manner of operation, assembly and use, are deemed readily apparent and obvious to one skilled in the art, and all equivalent relationships to those illustrated in the drawings and described in the specification are intended to be encompassed by an embodiment of the disclosure.
  • Therefore, the foregoing is considered as illustrative only of the principles of the disclosure. Further, since numerous modifications and changes will readily occur to those skilled in the art, it is not desired to limit the disclosure to the exact construction and operation shown and described, and accordingly, all suitable modifications and equivalents may be resorted to, falling within the scope of the disclosure. In this patent document, the word “comprising” is used in its non-limiting sense to mean that items following the word are included, but items not specifically mentioned are not excluded. A reference to an element by the indefinite article “a” does not exclude the possibility that more than one of the element is present, unless the context clearly requires that there be only one of the elements.
