- The disclosure and prior art relates to perfume cases and more particularly pertains to a new perfume case for protecting a perfume bottle.
- An embodiment of the disclosure meets the needs presented above by generally comprising a top case and a bottom case. The top case has a top perimeter and the top perimeter has a channel. The top case forms an upper cavity. The bottom case has a bottom perimeter and the bottom perimeter has a lip that is selectively engageable within the channel of the top perimeter. The bottom case forms a lower cavity. An upper foam insert is coupled to the top case within the upper cavity. A lower foam insert is coupled to the bottom case within the lower cavity. The upper foam insert and the lower foam insert are configured to receive a perfume bottle therebetween.
- There has thus been outlined, rather broadly, the more important features of the disclosure in order that the detailed description thereof that follows may be better understood, and in order that the present contribution to the art may be better appreciated. There are additional features of the disclosure that will be described hereinafter and which will form the subject matter of the claims appended hereto.
- The objects of the disclosure, along with the various features of novelty which characterize the disclosure, are pointed out with particularity in the claims annexed to and forming a part of this disclosure.
- The disclosure will be better understood and objects other than those set forth above will become apparent when consideration is given to the following detailed description thereof. Such description makes reference to the annexed drawings wherein:
-
FIG. 1 is an isometric view of a protective perfume case according to an embodiment of the disclosure. -
FIG. 2 is a side elevation view of an embodiment of the disclosure. -
FIG. 3 is a top plan view of an embodiment of the disclosure. -
FIG. 4 is a cross-sectional view of an embodiment of the disclosure along line 4-4 ofFIG. 1 . -
FIG. 5 is an isometric view of an embodiment of the disclosure. -
FIG. 6 is an isometric view of an embodiment of the disclosure. - With reference now to the drawings, and in particular to
FIGS. 1 through 6 thereof, a new perfume case embodying the principles and concepts of an embodiment of the disclosure and generally designated by thereference numeral 10 will be described. - As best illustrated in
FIGS. 1 through 6 , theprotective perfume case 10 generally comprises atop case 12 that has atop perimeter 14. Thetop perimeter 14 has achannel 16 and atop back edge 18. Thechannel 16 has a firstrectangular profile 20 and may have aninner groove 22. Thetop case 12 forms anupper cavity 24. Theprotective perfume case 10 further comprises abottom case 26 that has abottom perimeter 28. Thebottom perimeter 28 has alip 30 that has a secondrectangular profile 32 substantially conforming to the firstrectangular profile 20 of the channel. The secondrectangular profile 32 has aninner nub 34 to engage theinner groove 22. Thelip 30 is selectively engageable within thechannel 16 of the top perimeter. Thebottom perimeter 28 has abottom back edge 36 and a bottomfront edge 38. Thebottom case 26 forms alower cavity 40. Each of thetop case 12 and thebottom case 26 are one of, but not limited to, rectangular prismatic or semi-cylindrical shapes. - A
hinge 42 is coupled to each of thetop case 12 and thebottom case 26 and is coupled to thetop back edge 18 and thebottom back edge 36. Thehinge 42 allows thetop case 12 to pivot relative thebottom case 26 between a closedposition 44 with thelip 30 selectively engaged within thechannel 16 and an alternateopen position 46 with thetop perimeter 14 and thebottom perimeter 28 being coplanar. - A plurality of
hinge springs 48 may be coupled to thehinge 42 with each of the plurality ofhinge springs 48 engaging each of thetop case 12 and thebottom case 26 to maintain the closedposition 44. Aclosure 50 is coupled to the bottomfront edge 38 of thebottom case 26. Theclosure 50 is selectively engageable with thetop case 12 to maintain the closedposition 44. Anupper foam insert 52 is coupled within theupper cavity 24 of thetop case 12. Theupper foam insert 52 has anupper bottle cutout 54. Alower foam insert 56 is coupled within thelower cavity 40 of thebottom case 26. Thelower foam insert 56 has alower bottle cutout 58. Theupper foam insert 52 and thelower foam insert 56 are configured to receive aperfume bottle 60 within theupper bottle cutout 54 and thelower bottle cutout 58. - In use, the
perfume bottle 60 is inserted in thelower bottle cutout 58 and thetop case 12 is moved to the closedposition 44 to protect theperfume bottle 60. - With respect to the above description then, it is to be realized that the optimum dimensional relationships for the parts of an embodiment enabled by the disclosure, to include variations in size, materials, shape, form, function and manner of operation, assembly and use, are deemed readily apparent and obvious to one skilled in the art, and all equivalent relationships to those illustrated in the drawings and described in the specification are intended to be encompassed by an embodiment of the disclosure.
- Therefore, the foregoing is considered as illustrative only of the principles of the disclosure. Further, since numerous modifications and changes will readily occur to those skilled in the art, it is not desired to limit the disclosure to the exact construction and operation shown and described, and accordingly, all suitable modifications and equivalents may be resorted to, falling within the scope of the disclosure. In this patent document, the word “comprising” is used in its non-limiting sense to mean that items following the word are included, but items not specifically mentioned are not excluded. A reference to an element by the indefinite article “a” does not exclude the possibility that more than one of the element is present, unless the context clearly requires that there be only one of the elements.
