Description
- A portion of the disclosure of this patent document contains material which is subject to copyright protection. The copyright owner has no objection to the facsimile reproduction by anyone of the patent document or the patent disclosure, as it appears in the Patent and Trademark Office patent file or records, but otherwise reserves all copyright rights whatsoever.
- This invention relates to exercise straps suspended from above that are used for performing various strength, conditioning, or stretching exercises.
- The following background information may present examples of specific aspects of the prior art (e.g., without limitation, approaches, facts, or common wisdom) that, while expected to be helpful to further educate the reader as to additional aspects of the prior art, is not to be construed as limiting the present invention, or any embodiments thereof, to anything stated or implied therein or inferred thereupon.
- Conventional exercise straps are typically attached to the top of a door (or some other elevated structure) and extend downwards, towards the ground. In so-called “single” suspension systems, a single strap extends downwards from the top of the door and then splits into two straps. A handle is attached to the ends of each of the two respective straps. A person places his or her hands in the handles and can perform various exercises, including push-ups and dips. Examples of single suspension systems are the TRX device manufactured by Fitness Anywhere, Inc. and the AirFit device manufactured by PurMotion, LLC. One disadvantage of single suspension systems is that because the distance between the split and the ends of the two straps is relatively short, the two straps may rub against the neck, ears, and head of the person during exercising.
- In “dual” suspension systems, instead of a single strap being attached to the top of a door, two straps are attached to the top, and each strap extends downwards. A handle is attached to the ends of each strap. An example of a dual suspension system is the Jungle Gym Split device manufactured by LifelineUSA.
- In conventional single and dual suspension systems, the lengths of the straps are typically adjusted using cam buckles located somewhere along the straps. It is often necessary to adjust the lengths of the straps in order to provide differing degrees of difficulty for the exercise. For example, the lower the handles are to the ground (i.e. the longer the straps are), the more difficult it would be for the person to perform push-ups from that position. However, it takes time to properly adjust the length of the straps using the cam buckles. In particular, where there are cam buckles on each of the two straps, the two cam buckles have to be individually adjusted to ensure that both straps are of equal length.
- None of the prior art methods have been found to be completely suitable to meet these needs and are cumbersome. The present invention provides such a method and the overall combination of these features is nowhere disclosed in the prior art cited above which appears to be representative of the general art in this area although it is not intended to be an all-inclusive listing of pertinent prior art patents.
- In light of the disadvantages of the prior art, the following summary is provided to facilitate an understanding of some of the innovative features unique to the present invention and is not intended to be a full description. A full appreciation of the various aspects of the invention can be gained by taking the entire specification, claims, drawings, and abstract as a whole.
- In order to solve the above problems, the proposed invention is a suspension training system that helps perform a large variety of exercises by using users body weight. Bodyweight Resistance Trainer allows you to advance your workout by adjusting your body to use more, or less, gravity. Will help user to burn fat, build core strength and tone user's entire body.
- In certain embodiments, an exercise device for mounting between a door and a door jamb of a closed door is provided. The exercise device includes an anchor and a pair of adjustable length portions.
- Another object of the present invention is that, straps are made of an inelastic material, such as nylon. The strap attachment member may be fixed to one end of the exercise strap and may be a carabiner. The loop members may be D-rings and may be adapted to attach to an exercise accessory.
- Still another aspect of the invention, the exercise strap according to the invention comprises a strap, a strap attachment member fixed on the strap, and a plurality of loop members located on the strap.
- Another object of the present invention is, for exercise equipment which may be easily stored when not in use, does not occupy a great deal of space when in use and provides for exercising all or most of the muscle groups.
- This Summary is provided merely for purposes of summarizing some example embodiments, so as to provide a basic understanding of some aspects of the subject matter described herein. Accordingly, it will be appreciated that the above-described features are merely examples and should not be construed to narrow the scope or spirit of the subject matter described herein in any way. Other features, aspects, and advantages of the subject matter described herein will become apparent from the following Detailed Description, Figures, and Claims.

- As shows in
FIG. 1 there are two separate identical resistance straps, each resistance strap can be anchored individually by driving the carabiner of each resistance strap over the bar/beam and then attach each carabiner into their own resistance strap special loop as shown inFIG. 2 . Both resistance straps can be anchored using the utility strap included, by driving the utility strap carabiner over the bar/beam and then attach it into his own first loop, then attach both resistance straps carabiner into the second loop of the utility strap as shown inFIG. 3 . Both resistance straps can be anchored in the door anchor included by attaching both resistance straps carabiners into the door anchor loop. Then the door anchor head must be driven over the top of the open doorway so when closing the door, the door anchor head must be on the other side of the closed door as shown inFIG. 4 . - Another embodiment of the present invention relates to resistance straps that can be also used individually for door anchoring, by driving each resistance strap head with the carabiner over the top of the open doorway so when closing the door, both carabiners must be on the other side of the closed door
- The Abstract of the Disclosure is provided to allow the reader to quickly ascertain the nature of the technical disclosure. It is submitted with the understanding that it will not be used to interpret or limit the scope or meaning of the claims. In addition, in the foregoing Detailed Description, it can be seen that various features are grouped together in various embodiments for the purpose of streamlining the disclosure. This method of disclosure is not to be interpreted as reflecting an intention that the claimed embodiments require more features than are expressly recited in each claim. Rather, as the following claims reflect, inventive subject matter lies in less than all features of a single disclosed embodiment. Thus, the following claims are hereby incorporated into the Detailed Description, with each claim standing on its own as a separately claimed subject matter.
