FIGS. 1 through 6 thereof, a new buoy device embodying the principles and concepts of an embodiment of the disclosure and generally designated by thereference numeral 10 will be described. - As best illustrated in
FIGS. 1 through 6 , the waist tetheredbuoy assembly 10 generally comprises ashell 12 defining aninterior space 14. Theinterior space 14 is substantially empty wherein theshell 12 is buoyant. A net 16 is positioned around theshell 12. Acord 18 is coupled to the net 16. Thecord 18 secures thenet 16 around theshell 12. Atether 20 has anet end 22 and abelt end 24. Thenet end 22 is coupled to thecord 18 wherein thetether 20 is coupled to the net 16. - A
belt 26 is configured for securing around awaist 28 of auser 30. Thebelt end 24 of thetether 20 is coupled to thebelt 26 such that theshell 12 is configured to be attached to theuser 30. Thebelt 26 has an adjustable length in a conventional manner which may be a buckle or other conventional device for selectively shortening and lengthening a conventional belt. - A
tether fastener 32 is coupled to thetether 20 forming aloop 34 in thetether 20. Thecord 26 is attached to theloop 34. Theloop 34 is positioned adjacent to thenet end 22 of thetether 20. Thetether fastener 32 is slidably adjustable on thetether 20 such that a position of theloop 34 along thetether 20 is adjustable. Thetether fastener 32 is also slidably adjustable on thetether 20 such that a size of theloop 34 is adjustable. - A
connector 36 is coupled to thetether 20. Theconnector 36 is positioned in theloop 34. Theconnector 36 has afirst section 38 separably coupled to asecond section 40 such that theconnector 36 breaks theloop 34 when thefirst section 38 is separated from thesecond section 40. Acord clip 42 is coupled to afree end 44 of thecord 18 extending from thenet 16. Thecord clip 42 is attached to theloop 34. - A
belt clip 46 is coupled to thebelt end 24 of thetether 20. Thebelt clip 46 couples thetether 20 to thebelt 26. Aring 48 is coupled to thebelt 26. Thebelt clip 46 is coupled directly to thering 48 wherein thetether 20 is coupled to thebelt 26 by thebelt clip 46 engaging thering 48. Anet clip 50 is engaged to thecord 18. Thenet clip 50 secures aportion 52 of thecord 18 around theshell 12 whereby theshell 12 is inhibited from being removed from thenet 16. Thenet clip 50 provides for a pair ofapertures 54 and abiased panel 56 which is urged to reduce an effective space of theapertures 54 to inhibit thecord 18 from passing freely through theapertures 54 until thebiased panel 56 is manipulated. - In use, the
cord 18 andtether 20 are adjusted to a desired configuration. Thetether 20 is secured to the net 16 and thebelt 26 such that thetether 20 keeps theshell 12 near theuser 30 while thebelt 26 is worn by theuser 30. Theconnector 36 is provided for quick breaking of theloop 34 to release theshell 12 from thetether 20 when manipulation of thecord clip 42 might not be convenient. - With respect to the above description then, it is to be realized that the optimum dimensional relationships for the parts of an embodiment enabled by the disclosure, to include variations in size, materials, shape, form, function and manner of operation, assembly and use, are deemed readily apparent and obvious to one skilled in the art, and all equivalent relationships to those illustrated in the drawings and described in the specification are intended to be encompassed by an embodiment of the disclosure.
- Therefore, the foregoing is considered as illustrative only of the principles of the disclosure. Further, since numerous modifications and changes will readily occur to those skilled in the art, it is not desired to limit the disclosure to the exact construction and operation shown and described, and accordingly, all suitable modifications and equivalents may be resorted to, falling within the scope of the disclosure. In this patent document, the word “comprising” is used in its non-limiting sense to mean that items following the word are included, but items not specifically mentioned are not excluded. A reference to an element by the indefinite article “a” does not exclude the possibility that more than one of the element is present, unless the context clearly requires that there be only one of the elements.
