Abstract
A male undergarment including a combination of double-lined interior and exterior pockets is provided. The device includes a fabric base including an upper waist opening and pair of leg sleeves including lower openings. The upper waist openings include an elastic waistband disposed about an interior perimeter thereof. The fabric base includes a first pocket on an interior side thereof and a second pocket on an exterior side thereof. The first and second pockets include multiple fabric layers in order to increase the absorptive properties of the undergarment. A shroud extends downwardly from a front portion of the upper waist opening and is adapted to cover the wearer's genitals. The shroud and second pocket define a fly access opening therebetween. Further, the first pocket can be utilized to support the wearer's genitals in a comfortable position and keep the genitals away from the body, or separate the phallus from the scrotum.
Description
- This application claims the benefit of U.S. Provisional Application No. 62/737,159 filed on Sep. 27, 2018. The above identified patent application is herein incorporated by reference in its entirety to provide continuity of disclosure.
- The present invention relates to male undergarments. More specifically, the present invention relates to double-lined boxer-briefs having interior and exterior pockets including multiple fabric layers.
- In warm temperatures, male genitals may excessively droop and chafe or bruise when contacting an undergarment. Further, many men have sensitive skin and may suffer from contact dermatitis, which can lead to rashes, bumps, blisters and other symptoms. Also, the pressing of the genitals against the body can lead to the perception that an individual's testicular temperature is increasing, which can be greatly discomforting. Accordingly, a device that is configured to provide comfort to a wearer of a male undergarment is desired.
- Devices have been disclosed in the known art that relate to undergarments including interior and exterior pockets. These include devices that have been patented and disclosed in patent application publications. These devices include a unisex activewear garment with modified fly-flap and storage pockets is a pair of shorts or pants for the lower body having a crotch opening covered by a completely removable or partially operable pocketed fly-flap. Another device includes a support pocket with a comfortable pouch having an elastic back secured to the inside front of a man's brief. These devices, however, fail to disclose a male undergarment including the combination of double-lined interior and exterior pockets, an upper shroud, and a fly access opening defining between the exterior pocket and the shroud.
- In light of the devices in the prior art, it is submitted that the present invention substantially diverges in design elements from the known art and consequently it is clear that there is a need in the art for an improvement to existing male undergarments. In this regard, the instant invention substantially fulfills these needs.
- In view of the foregoing disadvantages inherent in the known types of male undergarments now present in the known art, the present invention provides a undergarment including the combination of double-lined interior and exterior pockets, an upper shroud, and a fly access opening defined between the interior and exterior pockets wherein the same can be utilized for providing convenience for the user when wearing undergarments providing extra ventilation, cooling, and moisture absorption.
- It is therefore an object of the present invention to provide a new and improved double-lined interior and exterior pocket male undergarment that has all of the advantages of the known art and none of the disadvantages. The present system comprises a fabric enclosure having a first opening at the top end adapted to receive the torso of a user and a pair of smaller openings in the bottom of the fabric enclosure adapted to receive the legs of a user therethrough. A pouch section comprised of a shroud extending down from the first opening is overlapped on either side by an interior and exterior flap extending upward from the bottom of the fabric enclosure.
- It is another object of the present invention to provide a double-lined interior and exterior pocket male undergarment wherein the fabric enclosure is comprised of a soft, machine washable material such as cotton wherein the perimeter of the first opening and the second pair of openings includes an elastic material adapted to conform to the size and shape of a user's body.
- Another object of the present invention is to provide a double-lined interior and exterior pocket male undergarment wherein the interior and exterior pockets include a plurality of extra fabric layers for added moisture absorption as well as extra ventilation and cooling provided to the genital region.
- Yet another object of the present invention is to provide a double-lined interior and exterior pocket male undergarment wherein the shroud, interior pocket, and exterior pocket utilize the same seams and include a flap opening for a user's genitals.
- Other objects, features and advantages of the present invention will become apparent from the following detailed description taken in conjunction with the accompanying drawings.
- Although the characteristic features of this invention will be particularly pointed out in the claims, the invention itself and manner in which it may be made and used may be better understood after a review of the following description, taken in connection with the accompanying drawings wherein like numeral annotations are provided throughout.
