Description
- The present invention relates to a container, and more particularly to a container that is applied to hold objects inside for storage.
- With reference to
FIG. 4 , a conventional magnetic locked container comprises abody 90, acap 91, and multiplemagnetic elements 92. Thebody 90 has aholding space 93 defined in a top surface of thebody 90. Thecap 91 is pivotally connected with thebody 90 by a hinge. Themagnetic elements 92 are mounted on thebody 90 and thecap 91. When thecap 91 is closed relative to thebody 90, thecap 91 is locked with thebody 90 by the magnetic attraction of themagnetic elements 92. Accordingly, the objects held in the container will not easily drop out of thebody 90 and thecap 91. - However, because the
magnetic elements 92 of the conventional container are exposed from the outer surface of thebody 90 and thecap 91, the magnetic attraction of themagnetic elements 92 will be lost after a long term of use due to dusts or corrosion. Accordingly, thecap 91 cannot be firmly locked with thebody 90. - In addition, the
cap 91 is connected with thebody 90 by a hinge, so the container can only be opened from a specific direction. Therefore, the conventional container is not versatile and convenient in use. - To overcome the shortcomings, the present invention tends to provide a container to mitigate or obviate the aforementioned problems.
- The main objective of the invention is to provide a container that is convenient in use.
- The container has a box and multiple magnetic units. The box has a body and a cap. The body has a body chamber defined in a top surface of the body and a lower peripheral wall formed around the body chamber. The cap is mounted detachably on the top surface of the body and has a cap chamber defined in a bottom surface of the cap facing the body and an upper peripheral wall formed around the cap chamber. The magnetic units are mounted in the box. Each magnetic unit has a lower magnetic element embedded in the lower peripheral wall of the body and an upper magnetic element embedded in the upper peripheral wall of the cap.
- Other objects, advantages and novel features of the invention will become more apparent from the following detailed description when taken in conjunction with the accompanying drawings.
-
FIG. 1 is an exploded perspective view of a container in accordance with the present invention; -
FIG. 2 is an enlarged side view in partial section of the container inFIG. 1 ; -
FIG. 3 is an operational exploded perspective view of the container inFIG. 1 ; and -
FIG. 4 is a perspective view of a conventional container. - With reference to
FIGS. 1 and 2 , a container in accordance with the present invention comprises abox 10 and multiplemagnetic units 20. - The
box 10 comprises abody 11 and acap 12. Thebody 11 has abody chamber 111 defined in a top surface of thebody 11 and a lowerperipheral wall 112 formed around thebody chamber 111. body 11 further hasmultiple mounting holes 113 defined in a bottom surface of the lowerperipheral wall 112 of thebody 11 opposite thecap 12. Thecap 12 further hasmultiple mounting holes 123 defined in a top surface of the upperperipheral wall 122 of thecap 12 opposite thebody 11. The lowermagnetic elements 22 of themagnetic units 20 are mounted respectively in themounting holes 113 in thebody 11. The uppermagnetic elements 21 of themagnetic units 20 are mounted respectively in themounting holes 123 in thecap 12. In addition, thebody 11 further has abody board 114 attached to the bottom surface of the lowerperipheral wall 112 to close themounting holes 113 in the lowerperipheral wall 112. Thebody chamber 111 is defined between thebody board 114 and the lowerperipheral wall 112. Thecap 12 further has acap board 124 attached to the top surface of the upperperipheral wall 122 to close themounting holes 123 in the upperperipheral wall 122. Thecap chamber 121 is defined between thecap board 124 and the upperperipheral wall 122. - Furthermore, the lower
peripheral wall 112 of thebody 11 further has at least onefinger notch 115 defined in the lowerperipheral wall 112. The upperperipheral wall 122 of thecap 12 further has at least onefinger notch 125 defined in the upperperipheral wall 122 and aligned respectively with the at least onefiner notch 115 in the lowerperipheral wall 112. Preferably, the at least onefinger notch 115 in the lowerperipheral wall 112 communicates respectively with the at least onefinger notch 125 in the upperperipheral wall 122. - In a preferred embodiment, the
body 11 and thecap 12 of thebox 10 are rectangular in shape. The lowerperipheral wall 112 of thebody 11 has twolower positioning segments 116 formed respectively on opposite sides of the lowerperipheral wall 112. Themounting holes 113 in thebody 11 are defined in thelower positioning segments 116. The upperperipheral wall 122 of thecap 12 has twoupper positioning segments 126 formed respectively on opposite sides of the upperperipheral wall 122. Themounting holes 123 in thecap 12 are defined in theupper positioning segments 126. Accordingly, themagnetic elements body 11 and thecap 12, so the magnetic attraction of themagnetic elements cap 12 can be firmly locked with thebody 11 by the magnetic attraction of themagnetic elements - Because the
cap 12 is detachably mounted on thebody 11, thecap 12 can be opened relative to thebody 11 from any desired direction or angle. Thus, the container in accordance with the present invention is versatile and convenient in use. To close the container, the upperperipheral wall 122 of thecap 12 is substantially aligned with the lowerperipheral wall 112 of thebody 11 and thecap 12 can be automatically closed and located relative to thebody 11 by the magnetic attraction of themagnetic elements body 11 and thecap 12 can assist a user in conveniently opening the container. - With reference to
FIG. 3 , the container is locked by the magnetic attraction of themagnetic units 20, so thecap 12 can be opened relative to thebody 11 conveniently. Therefore, the container in accordance with the present invention can be applied to hold objects for fishing, and positioningpads 30 are mounted respectively in thechambers body 11 and thecap 122 to position hooks for fishing. Accordingly, a user can retrieve and use the hooks stored in the container conveniently. - Even though numerous characteristics and advantages of the present invention have been set forth in the foregoing description, together with details of the structure and function of the invention, the disclosure is illustrative only, and changes may be made in detail, especially in matters of shape, size, and arrangement of parts within the principles of the invention to the full extent indicated by the broad general meaning of the terms in which the appended claims are expressed.
