Abstract
A foldable sink cabinet includes a cabinet body having a front panel, a first board, and a second board. The front panel includes a reference plane in an extending direction thereof. The first board is pivotably mounted to the front panel about a first axis spaced from the reference plane by a first spacing. The second board is pivotably mounted to the front panel about a second axis spaced from the reference plane by a second spacing smaller than the first spacing.
Description
- The present invention relates to a sink cabinet and, more particularly, to a foldable sink cabinet.
- CN 201020534641.2 discloses a novel sink cabinet including a basin comprised of a basin body and a cavity defined in a center of the basin body and configured for receiving water. The basin body has a height of 20-40 cm, and the cavity has a depth of 10-35 cm.
- However, the basin must be supported by a cabinet body to be in a sufficient level for users. In installation, the cabinet body is positioned before mounting the basin, a pipe, and a faucet. However, the cabinet body is bulky and, thus, occupies a considerable space during storage and transportation. Therefore, the cabinet body is difficult to transport and install.
- An objective of the present invention is to provide a foldable sink cabinet including a cabinet body having a front panel, a first board, and a second board. The front panel includes a reference plane in an extending direction thereof. The first board is pivotably mounted to the front panel about a first axis spaced from the reference plane by a first spacing. The second board is pivotably mounted to the front panel about a second axis spaced from the reference plane by a second spacing smaller than the first spacing.
- In an example, the cabinet body further includes a third board pivotably mounted to the front panel about a third axis spaced from the reference plane by a third spacing smaller than the second spacing.
- In an example, the first board and the second board are pivotably mounted to two opposite sides of the front panel. The two opposite sides of the front panel are spaced from each other in a horizontal direction. The third board is pivotably mounted to a bottom of the front panel.
- In an example, the first board includes an end distant to the first axis. The end of the first board includes a first connecting portion and a second connecting portion spaced from the first connecting portion in a vertical direction perpendicular to the horizontal direction. The second board includes an end distant to the second axis. The end of the second board includes a third connecting portion and a fourth connecting portion spaced from the third connecting portion in the vertical direction. The cabinet body further includes a first connecting member and a second connecting member. The first connecting member includes a first end detachably connected to the first connecting portion and a second end detachably connected to the third connecting portion. The second connecting member includes a first end detachably connected to the second connecting portion and a second end detachably connected to the fourth connecting portion.
- In an example, the cabinet body is switchable between an extended state and a folded state. When the cabinet body is in the extended state, the first board, the second board, and the third board are perpendicular to the front panel, the first board and the third board are parallel to each other and are perpendicular to the third board, and the first connecting member and the second connecting member are connected to the first board and the second board. When the cabinet body is in the folded state, the first board and the second board are detached from the first board and the second board, the first board, the second board, and the third board are parallel and juxtaposed to each other, the third board is contiguous and juxtaposed to the front panel, the third board is located between the second board and the front panel, and the second board is located between the first board and the third board.
- In an example, the first connecting portion is located adjacent to a top portion of the first board. The second connecting portion is located adjacent to a bottom portion of the first board. The third connecting portion is located adjacent to a top portion of the second board. The fourth connecting portion is located adjacent to a bottom portion of the second board.
- The present invention will become clearer in light of the following detailed description of illustrative embodiments of this invention described in connection with the drawings.

FIG. 8 is a perspective view of the foldable sink cabinet in a completely folded state. - With reference to
FIGS. 1-3 , afoldable sink cabinet 10 of an embodiment according to the present invention includes acabinet body 20. Thecabinet body 20 includes afront panel 21, afirst board 22, and asecond board 23. Thefront panel 21 includes a reference plane P in an extending direction thereof. Thefirst board 22 is pivotably mounted to thefront panel 21 about a first axis Cl spaced from the reference plane P by a first spacing L1. Thesecond board 23 is pivotably mounted to thefront panel 21 about a second axis C2 spaced from the reference plane P by a second spacing L2 smaller than the first spacing L1. Thecabinet body 20 further includes athird board 24 pivotably mounted to thefront panel 21 about a third axis C3 spaced from the reference plane P by a third spacing L3 smaller than the second spacing L2. - The
first board 22 and thesecond board 23 are pivotably mounted to two opposite sides of thefront panel 21. The two opposite sides of thefront panel 21 are spaced from each other in a horizontal direction. Thethird board 24 is pivotably mounted to a bottom of thefront panel 21. Thefirst board 22 includes an end distant to the first axis C1. The end of thefirst board 22 includes a first connectingportion 221 and a second connectingportion 222 spaced from the first connectingportion 221 in a vertical direction perpendicular to the horizontal direction. The first connectingportion 221 is located adjacent to a top portion of thefirst board 22. The second connectingportion 222 is located adjacent to a bottom portion of thefirst board 22. Thesecond board 23 includes an end distant to the second axis C2. The end of thesecond board 23 includes a third connectingportion 231 and a fourth connectingportion 232 spaced from the third connectingportion 231 in the vertical direction. The third connectingportion 231 is located adjacent to a top portion of thesecond board 23. The fourth connectingportion 232 is located adjacent to a bottom portion of thesecond board 23. - The
cabinet body 20 further includes a first connectingmember 25 and a second connectingmember 26. The first connectingmember 25 includes a first end detachably connected to the first connectingportion 221 and a second end detachably connected to the third connectingportion 231. The second connectingmember 26 includes a first end detachably connected to the second connectingportion 222 and a second end detachably connected to the fourth connectingportion 232. - The
cabinet body 20 is switchable between an extended state and a folded state. When thecabinet body 20 is switched from the folded state to the extended state, thefirst board 22, thesecond board 23, and thethird board 24 pivot away from thefront panel 21. When thecabinet body 20 is in the extended state, thefirst board 22, thesecond board 23, and thethird board 24 are perpendicular to thefront panel 21, thefirst board 22 and thethird board 24 are parallel to each other and are perpendicular to thethird board 24, and the first connectingmember 25 and the second connectingmember 26 are connected to thefirst board 22 and thesecond board 23. - When the
cabinet body 20 is switched from the extended state to the folded state, thefirst board 25 and thesecond board 26 are detached from thefirst board 22 and the second board 23 (FIG. 4 ), and the first, second, andthird boards FIGS. 5-7 ). When thecabinet body 20 is in the folded state (FIGS. 7 and 8 ), thefirst board 22, thesecond board 23, and thethird board 24 are parallel and juxtaposed to each other, thethird board 24 is contiguous and juxtaposed to thefront panel 21, and thethird board 24 is located between thesecond board 23 and thefront panel 21, and thesecond board 23 is located between thefirst board 22 and thethird board 24. - Thus, the
foldable sink cabinet 10 according to the present invention can be rapidly folded or extended. The volume of thefoldable sink cabinet 10 can be significantly reduced after folding to reduce the space for storage or transportation, increasing the transportation efficiency. Thefoldable sink cabinet 10 is extended only in installation, which is advantageous to the installation procedure. A basin for receiving water can be mounted on top of thefoldable sink cabinet 10. Pipes and articles can be received inside thefoldable sink cabinet 10. - Although specific embodiments have been illustrated and described, numerous modifications and variations are still possible without departing from the scope of the invention. The scope of the invention is limited by the accompanying claims.
Claims (6)
1. A foldable sink cabinet comprising a cabinet body including a front panel, a first board, and a second board, wherein the front panel includes a reference plane in an extending direction thereof, wherein the first board is pivotably mounted to the front panel about a first axis spaced from the reference plane by a first spacing, wherein the second board is pivotably mounted to the front panel about a second axis spaced from the reference plane by a second spacing smaller than the first spacing.
2. The foldable sink cabinet as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the cabinet body further includes a third board pivotably mounted to the front panel about a third axis spaced from the reference plane by a third spacing smaller than the second spacing.
3. The foldable sink cabinet as claimed in claim 2 , wherein the first board and the second board are pivotably mounted to two opposite sides of the front panel, wherein the two opposite sides of the front panel are spaced from each other in a horizontal direction, and wherein the third board is pivotably mounted to a bottom of the front panel.

The foldable sink cabinet as claimed in claim 3 , wherein the first board includes an end distant to the first axis, wherein the end of the first board includes a first connecting portion and a second connecting portion spaced from the first connecting portion in a vertical direction perpendicular to the horizontal direction, wherein the second board includes an end distant to the second axis, wherein the end of the second board includes a third connecting portion and a fourth connecting portion spaced from the third connecting portion in the vertical direction, wherein the cabinet body further includes a first connecting member and a second connecting member, wherein the first connecting member includes a first end detachably connected to the first connecting portion and a second end detachably connected to the third connecting portion, and wherein the second connecting member includes a first end detachably connected to the second connecting portion and a second end detachably connected to the fourth connecting portion.
5. The foldable sink cabinet as claimed in claim 4 , wherein the cabinet body is switchable between an extended state and a folded state, wherein when the cabinet body is in the extended state, the first board, the second board, and the third board are perpendicular to the front panel, the first board and the third board are parallel to each other and are perpendicular to the third board, and the first connecting member and the second connecting member are connected to the first board and the second board, wherein when the cabinet body is in the folded state, the first board and the second board are detached from the first board and the second board, the first board, the second board, and the third board are parallel and juxtaposed to each other, the third board is contiguous and juxtaposed to the front panel, the third board is located between the second board and the front panel, and the second board is located between the first board and the third board.
6. The foldable sink cabinet as claimed in claim 5 , wherein the first connecting portion is located adjacent to a top portion of the first board, wherein the second connecting portion is located adjacent to a bottom portion of the first board, wherein the third connecting portion is located adjacent to a top portion of the second board, and wherein the fourth connecting portion is located adjacent to a bottom portion of the second board.
