Description

    BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
  • The present invention relates to a sink cabinet and, more particularly, to a foldable sink cabinet.
  • CN 201020534641.2 discloses a novel sink cabinet including a basin comprised of a basin body and a cavity defined in a center of the basin body and configured for receiving water. The basin body has a height of 20-40 cm, and the cavity has a depth of 10-35 cm.
  • However, the basin must be supported by a cabinet body to be in a sufficient level for users. In installation, the cabinet body is positioned before mounting the basin, a pipe, and a faucet. However, the cabinet body is bulky and, thus, occupies a considerable space during storage and transportation. Therefore, the cabinet body is difficult to transport and install.
  • BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
  • An objective of the present invention is to provide a foldable sink cabinet including a cabinet body having a front panel, a first board, and a second board. The front panel includes a reference plane in an extending direction thereof. The first board is pivotably mounted to the front panel about a first axis spaced from the reference plane by a first spacing. The second board is pivotably mounted to the front panel about a second axis spaced from the reference plane by a second spacing smaller than the first spacing.
  • In an example, the cabinet body further includes a third board pivotably mounted to the front panel about a third axis spaced from the reference plane by a third spacing smaller than the second spacing.
  • In an example, the first board and the second board are pivotably mounted to two opposite sides of the front panel. The two opposite sides of the front panel are spaced from each other in a horizontal direction. The third board is pivotably mounted to a bottom of the front panel.
  • In an example, the first board includes an end distant to the first axis. The end of the first board includes a first connecting portion and a second connecting portion spaced from the first connecting portion in a vertical direction perpendicular to the horizontal direction. The second board includes an end distant to the second axis. The end of the second board includes a third connecting portion and a fourth connecting portion spaced from the third connecting portion in the vertical direction. The cabinet body further includes a first connecting member and a second connecting member. • DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
  • With reference to FIGS. 1-3, a foldable sink cabinet 10 of an embodiment according to the present invention includes a cabinet body 20. The cabinet body 20 includes a front panel 21, a first board 22, and a second board 23. The front panel 21 includes a reference plane P in an extending direction thereof. The first board 22 is pivotably mounted to the front panel 21 about a first axis Cl spaced from the reference plane P by a first spacing L1. The second board 23 is pivotably mounted to the front panel 21 about a second axis C2 spaced from the reference plane P by a second spacing L2 smaller than the first spacing L1. The cabinet body 20 further includes a third board 24 pivotably mounted to the front panel 21 about a third axis C3 spaced from the reference plane P by a third spacing L3 smaller than the second spacing L2.
  • The first board 22 and the second board 23 are pivotably mounted to two opposite sides of the front panel 21. The two opposite sides of the front panel 21 are spaced from each other in a horizontal direction. The third board 24 is pivotably mounted to a bottom of the front panel 21. The first board 22 includes an end distant to the first axis C1. The end of the first board 22 includes a first connecting portion 221 and a second connecting portion 222 spaced from the first connecting portion 221 in a vertical direction perpendicular to the horizontal direction. The first connecting portion 221 is located adjacent to a top portion of the first board 22. The second connecting portion 222 is located adjacent to a bottom portion of the first board 22. The second board 23 includes an end distant to the second axis C2. The end of the second board 23 includes a third connecting portion 231 and a fourth connecting portion 232 spaced from the third connecting portion 231 in the vertical direction. The third connecting portion 231 is located adjacent to a top portion of the second board 23. The fourth connecting portion 232 is located adjacent to a bottom portion of the second board 23.
  • The cabinet body 20 further includes a first connecting member 25 and a second connecting member 26. The first connecting member 25 includes a first end detachably connected to the first connecting portion 221 and a second end detachably connected to the third connecting portion 231. The second connecting member 26 includes a first end detachably connected to the second connecting portion 222 and a second end detachably connected to the fourth connecting portion 232.
  • The cabinet body 20 is switchable between an extended state and a folded state. When the cabinet body 20 is switched from the folded state to the extended state, the first board 22, the second board 23, and the third board 24 pivot away from the front panel 21. When the cabinet body 20 is in the extended state, the first board 22, the second board 23, and the third board 24 are perpendicular to the front panel 21, the first board 22 and the third board 24 are parallel to each other and are perpendicular to the third board 24, and the first connecting member 25 and the second connecting member 26 are connected to the first board 22 and the second board 23.
  • When the cabinet body 20 is switched from the extended state to the folded state, the first board 25 and the second board 26 are detached from the first board 22 and the second board 23 (FIG. 4), and the first, second, and third boards 22, 23, and 24 pivot towards the front panel 21 (FIGS. 5-7). When the cabinet body 20 is in the folded state (FIGS. 7 and 8), the first board 22, the second board 23, and the third board 24 are parallel and juxtaposed to each other, the third board 24 is contiguous and juxtaposed to the front panel 21, and the third board 24 is located between the second board 23 and the front panel 21, and the second board 23 is located between the first board 22 and the third board 24.
  • Thus, the foldable sink cabinet 10 according to the present invention can be rapidly folded or extended. The volume of the foldable sink cabinet 10 can be significantly reduced after folding to reduce the space for storage or transportation, increasing the transportation efficiency. The foldable sink cabinet 10 is extended only in installation, which is advantageous to the installation procedure. A basin for receiving water can be mounted on top of the foldable sink cabinet 10. Pipes and articles can be received inside the foldable sink cabinet 10.
  • Although specific embodiments have been illustrated and described, numerous modifications and variations are still possible without departing from the scope of the invention. The scope of the invention is limited by the accompanying claims.
