Abstract
The present application discloses a balloon holder comprising a body and a plurality of fixtures. The body comprises an inner perimeter and an outer perimeter, wherein the inner perimeter defines a void. The plurality of fixtures is coupled to the body, each of the plurality of fixtures comprises a first slot and a second slot connected to one end of the first slot, wherein another end of the first slot is connected to an edge of the fixture. A method for using the aforementioned balloon holder is also disclosed. The method for using a balloon holder comprises inserting a first plurality of balloons into the plurality of fixtures through the first slot and the second slot; inserting a second plurality of balloons into the plurality of fixtures through the first slot and the second slot; and inserting a central balloon into the void.
Description
- This application claims priority benefit from China Patent Application No. 201830241729.7, filed on May 23, 2018 in the State intellectual Property Office of the P.R.C. the disclosure of which is incorporated herein by reference in its entirety.
- The present application generally relates to balloon holders, and more particularly, to a balloon holder and a method for using thereof.
- People generally utilize balloons for event decoration such as wedding or graduation ceremonies. Balloon decoration uses balloon as basic material for making small toy figurine such as animals or large installation arts such as arched door or large-sized flower.

FIG. 1 shows a priorart balloon holder 10 for making an arched door. As shown inFIG. 1 , theballoon holder 10 comprises fourholes 12 and fourchannels 14. However, the balloons are dropped off from thechannels 14 easily, damaging the arch structure and the appearance is unsightly due. to defects. - In addition,
FIG. 2 shows another priorart balloon holder 20 for making a flower. As shown inFIG. 2 , theballoon holder 20 comprisesmultiple holes 22 andchannels 24. This structure ofballoon holder 20 only allows people to make single layer structure. - Therefore, a need remains for a balloon holder and method for sing thereof to provide a better quality and more diverse balloon decoration.
- The present application discloses a balloon holder and a method for using thereof to provide a better quality and more diverse balloon decoration.
- The balloon holder comprises a body and a plurality of fixtures. The body comprises an inner perimeter and an outer perimeter, wherein the inner perimeter defines a void. The plurality of fixtures is coupled to the body, each of the plurality of fixtures comprises a first slot and a second slot connected to one end of the first slot, wherein another end of the first slot is connected to an edge of the fixture.
- In various exemplary embodiments, each of the plurality of fixtures further comprises a hole connected to the second slot, wherein the hole is located at the center of the fixture.
- In various exemplary embodiments, an angle between the first slot and the second slot is 110° to 130°. More specifically, the angle between the first slot and the second slot is 120°.
- In various exemplary embodiments, the balloon holder comprises five fixtures. The body further comprises five holes located next to the five fixtures correspondingly.
- In various exemplary embodiments, the body and the plurality of fixtures are molded integrally.
- In various exemplary embodiments, the body and the plurality of fixtures are flat.
- In various exemplary embodiments, the void is circular.
- In various exemplary embodiments, the body is circular.
- In various exemplary embodiments, each of the plurality of fixtures is quasi-circular.
- In various exemplary embodiments, the plurality of fixtures is equally spaced around the body.
- The method for using the aforementioned balloon holder is also disclosed. The method for using a balloon holder comprises inserting a first plurality of balloons into the plurality of fixtures through the first slot and the second slot; inserting a second plurality of balloons into the plurality of fixtures through the first slot and the second slot; and inserting a central balloon into the void.
- Based on the above, the present application allows users to make arched door with better quality by utilizing the fixtures comprising first slot and second slot, allowing the balloons to be fixed stably without dropping off.
- In addition, the void allows the user to make multiple layers of flower, creating better and more diverse appearance. Moreover, the flat structure of the balloon holder of the present application reduces the volume when transporting, further reducing transportation cost.

FIGS. 6A-6D shows different embodiments of the balloon holder of the present application. - Reference will now be made in detail to the present representative embodiments of the present application, examples of which are illustrated in the accompanying drawings. Wherever possible, the same reference numbers are used in the drawings and the description to refer to the same or like parts.

FIG. 3 shows a perspective view of aballoon holder 100 of the present application.FIG. 4 shows a from view of theballoon holder 100 of the present application. - The
balloon holder 100 of the present application comprises abody 100 and a plurality offixtures 120. Thebody 120 comprises aninner perimeter 114 and anouter perimeter 112. Theinner perimeter 114 defines avoid 116. Thevoid 116 can have any kind of shapes thevoid 116 of the present application is circular as an example. - The plurality of
fixtures 120 is coupled to thebody 110. Specifically, theballoon holder 100 of the present application comprises fivefixtures 120, allowing users to create more styles of balloon decoration compared to the prior art balloon holder 10 (referring toFIG. 1 ). Thefixtures 120 and thebody 110 are molded integrally. However, the present application is not limited, thefixtures 120 and thebody 100 can be coupled via adhesive or other mechanism such as latches. - Referring to
FIG. 1 , a diameter of the priorart balloon holder 10 is 1.35 inches and a height of the priorart balloon holder 10 is 0.85 inches. However, thebody 120 and the fixtures are flat, reducing the overall volume when transporting and further reducing the transportation cost. Specifically, sellers generally sell a package of about 50-100 balloon holders. The structure of the present application reduces about 50% transportation cost, wherein die transportation costs account for 80% of sales. - Referring to
FIGS. 1-2 , each of thefixtures 120 comprises ahole 122, afirst slot 124 a and asecond slot 124 b. One end of thefirst slot 124 a is connected to an edge of thefixture 120 while another end of thefist slot 124 a is connected to thesecond slot 124 b. One end of thesecond slot 124 b is connected to thefirst slot 124 a while another end of thesecond slot 124 b is connected to thehole 122. Thehole 122 is located at the center of thefixture 120, fixing the balloon more stably. - The angle between the
first slot 124 a and thesecond slot 124 b is 110° to 130°. To be more specific, the angle between thefirst slot 124 a and thesecond slot 124 b is 120°. Referring toFIG. 1 , by the structure of two different directions ofslots 124 a 124 b, the balloon can be fixed more stably, solving the problem that balloons are dropped off easily from thechannels 14. - Referring back to
FIGS. 3-4 , thebody 110 further comprisesholes 118. Specifically, thebody 110 comprises the same amount ofholes 118 as the,fixtures 120. In the present application, theballoon holder 100 comprises fivefixtures 120 and fiveholes 118 as an example. However, the present application is not limited thereto. Theholes 118 are located next to thefixtures 120 correspondingly, allowing the user to install more decoration inside theholes 118. - It should be noted that the
fixtures 120 and theholes 118 are equally spaced around thebody 110 as an example. However, the present application is not limited thereto, the distance between thefixtures 120 and theholes 118 can be modified if needed. -
FIGS. 5A-5E shows a method for using the balloon holder of the present application. - Referring to
FIGS. 3-5C , the first step of the method for using theballoon holder 100 is inserting a first plurality of balloons 50 a-50 e into thefixtures 120 through thefirst slot 124 a and thesecond slot 124 b, creating a first layer of balloons 50 a-50 e. - After that, as shown in
FIGS. 4 and 5D-5E , inserting a second plurality of balloons 60 a-60 e in to thefixtures 120 through thefirst slot 124 a and thesecond slot 124 b, creating a second layer of balloons 60 a-60 e. - Last, as shown in
FIG. 5F , inserting acentral balloon 70 into thevoid 116, completing a 3D balloon flower. - It should be noted that the method can comprise creating multiple layers of balloon, the present application comprises two layers of balloons 50 a-50 e/60 a-60 e only as an example.
- By the
void 116 of the present application, the user can create a 3D balloon flower but not only 2D balloon flower made by the priorart balloon holder 20 as shown inFIG. 2 . -
FIGS. 6A-6D shows different embodiments of the balloon holder of the present application. - Referring to
FIGS. 4 and 6A-6B , the shape of thefixtures 120 of the present application can be modified if needed.FIG. 4 shows thefixtures 120 with quasi-circular shape;FIG. 6A showsfixtures 220 of aballoon holder 200 with rectangular shape, andFIG. 6B showsfixtures 320 of aballoon holder 300 with triangular shape. - Referring to
FIGS. 4 and 6C , the hole, 118 of theballoon holder 100 can be removed as shown inballoon holder 400, reducing the manufacturing cost if needed. - Referring to
FIGS. 4 and 6D , theouter perimeter 112 of thebody 110 can be modified as well. For example,FIG. 6 shows aballoon holder 500 with pentagonal shape ofbody 510. - Based on the above, the present application allows users to make arched door with better quality by utilizing the fixtures comprising first slot and second slot, allowing the balloons to be fixed stably without dropping off. In addition, the void allows the user to make multiple layers of flower, creating better and more diverse appearance.
- Simply put, the balloon holder of the present application combines arched door style of prior art balloon holder and flower style of prior art balloon holder (referring to
FIGS. 1-2 ) to make a 3D balloon decoration, enhancing the decorative an entertaining effects. Moreover, the flat structure of the balloon holder of the present application reduces the volume when transporting, further reducing transportation cost. - It will apparent to those skilled in the art that various modifications and variations can be made to the structure of the present application without departing from the scope or spirit of the present application. In view of the foregoing, it is intended that the present application cover modifications and variations of this application provided they fall within the scope of the following claims and their equivalents.
Claims (14)
1. A balloon holder comprising:
a body comprising an inner perimeter and an outer perimeter, wherein the inner perimeter defines a void; and
a plurality of fixtures coupled to the body, each of the plurality of fixtures comprises a first slot and a second slot connected to one end of the first slot, w herein another end of the first slot is connected to an edge of the fixture.
2. The balloon holder as claimed in claim 1 , wherein each of the plurality of fixtures further comprises a hole connected to the second slot.
3. The balloon holder as claimed in claim 2 , wherein the hole is located at the center of the fixture.
4. The balloon holder as claimed in claim 1 , wherein an angle between the first slot and the second slot is 110° to 130°.
5. The balloon holder as claimed in claim 4 , wherein an angle between the first slot and the second slot is 120°.
6. The balloon holder as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the balloon holder comprises five fixtures.
7. The balloon holder as claimed in claim 6 , wherein the body further comprises five holes located next to the five fixtures correspondingly.
8. The balloon holder as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the body and the plurality of fixtures are molded integrally.
9. The balloon holder as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the body and the plurality of fixtures are flat.
10. The balloon holder as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the void is circular.
11. The balloon holder as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the body is circular.
12. The balloon holder as claimed in claim 1 , wherein each of the plurality of fixtures is quasi-circular.
13. The balloon holder as claimed in claim 1 , whereto the plurality of fixtures is equally spaced around the body.
14. A method for using a balloon holder of claim 1 , comprising:
inserting a first plurality of balloons into the plurality of fixtures through the first slot and the second slot;
inserting a second plurality of balloons into the plurality of fixtures through the first slot and the second slot; and
inserting a central balloon into the void.
