- The disclosure will be better understood and objects other than those set forth above will become apparent when consideration is given to the following detailed description thereof. Such description makes reference to the annexed drawings wherein:
-
FIG. 1 is a top perspective view of a sports memorabilia display assembly according to an embodiment of the disclosure. -
FIG. 2 is a top exploded perspective view of an embodiment of the disclosure. -
FIG. 3 is a top view of an embodiment of the disclosure. -
FIG. 4 is a right side view of an embodiment of the disclosure. - With reference now to the drawings, and in particular to
FIGS. 1 through 4 thereof, a new display device embodying the principles and concepts of an embodiment of the disclosure and generally designated by thereference numeral 10 will be described. - As best illustrated in
FIGS. 1 through 4 , the sportsmemorabilia display assembly 10 generally comprises a table 12 that has atop surface 14 and aperimeter edge 16. Thetop surface 14 has a plurality ofindicia 18 printed thereon and theindicia 18 comprisingmarkings 20 associated with a hockey rink. Themarkings 20 include a red center line 22, acenter faceoff circle 24 and dot, blue lines 26 and blueline faceoff dots 28. Additionally, themarkings 20 include attackingzone faceoff circles 30 complete withhash marks 32 andfaceoff dots 34. Themarkings 20 further includegoal lines 36, goal creases 38 and goals trapezoids 40. Additionally, thesports cards 42 may be arranged to simulate positioning of actual players on respective teams. A plurality oflegs 44 is each of thelegs 44 is coupled to and extends downwardly from the table 12. Each of thelegs 44 abuts asupport surface 46, such as a floor or the like, to elevate the table 12 from the support surface. The table 12 may have a length ranging between approximately 90.0 cm and 150.0 cm and a width ranging between approximately 50.0 cm and 75.0 cm. - A
window 48 is provided and thewindow 48 is removably positioned on the table 12. Thewindow 48 is comprised of a translucent material such that thesports cards 42 are visible through thewindow 48. Additionally, thewindow 48 is comprised of a fluid impermeable material to protect thesports cards 42 from moisture, food, dirt and other contaminants. Thewindow 48 has aprimary surface 50 and anouter edge 52, and thewindow 48 may be comprised of Plexiglas or other shatter resistant material. In this way thewindow 48 can be safely handled and moved on and off the table 12. Theprimary surface 50 rests on thetop surface 14 when thewindow 48 is positioned on the table 12 and theouter edge 52 of thewindow 48 is coextensive with theperimeter edge 16 of the table 12. - In use, the
sports cards 42 are positioned on thetop surface 14 of the table 12 and thesports cards 42 are arranged to simulate positioning of the actual players in respective teams. Thewindow 48 is positioned on thetop surface 14 of the table 12 thereby covering thesports cards 42. Thus, thesports cards 42 are visible on the table 12 while being protected from moisture, food, dirt and other contaminants. In this way thesports cards 42 may be viewed and enjoyed while a televised sporting event is being viewed. Thewindow 48 is removable from the table 12 at any time to addsports cards 42, removesports cards 42 or rearrange thesports cards 42. - With respect to the above description then, it is to be realized that the optimum dimensional relationships for the parts of an embodiment enabled by the disclosure, to include variations in size, materials, shape, form, function and manner of operation, assembly and use, are deemed readily apparent and obvious to one skilled in the art, and all equivalent relationships to those illustrated in the drawings and described in the specification are intended to be encompassed by an embodiment of the disclosure.
- Therefore, the foregoing is considered as illustrative only of the principles of the disclosure. Further, since numerous modifications and changes will readily occur to those skilled in the art, it is not desired to limit the disclosure to the exact construction and operation shown and described, and accordingly, all suitable modifications and equivalents may be resorted to, falling within the scope of the disclosure. In this patent document, the word “comprising” is used in its non-limiting sense to mean that items following the word are included, but items not specifically mentioned are not excluded.
