Abstract
A floor mat puzzle with a wood-patterned top layer has a bottom layer and a surface layer fixed onto a top of the bottom layer. The bottom layer is a foam material, and the surface layer is a hard plastic film embossed with a wood pattern and having indentations corresponding to the wood pattern.
Description
- The present invention relates to a floor mat puzzle, and more particularly to a floor mat puzzle with a wood-patterned top layer.
- Conventional assembled floor padding system is made of plastic foam material, which can only provide surface with embossed decorative pattern for anti-slip effect. The embossed decorative pattern is created by a press operation on a surface of the padding, which can only provide limited anti-slip effect. Also, due to the foam padding surface is thin and has low hardness, not only embossed decorative pattern is easy to fade off due to friction, but also east to suffer wear and tear.
- Therefore, it is desirable to provide floor mat puzzle with a wood-patterned top layer to mitigate and/or obviate the aforementioned problems.
- An objective of present invention is to provide a floor mat puzzle with a wood-patterned top layer, which is capable of improving the above-mention problems.
- In order to achieve the above mentioned objective, a floor mat puzzle with a wood-patterned top layer has a bottom layer and a surface layer fixed onto a top of the bottom layer. The bottom layer is a foam material, and the surface layer is a hard plastic film embossed with a wood pattern and having indentations corresponding to the wood pattern.
- Other objects, advantages, and novel features of invention will become more apparent from the following detailed description when taken in conjunction with the accompanying drawings.
-
FIG. 1 is a perspective view of a preferred embodiment of the in invention. -
FIG. 2 is an exploded view of the preferred embodiment of the in invention. -
FIG. 3 is a cross-sectional view of the preferred embodiment of the in invention. -
FIG. 4 is a cross-sectional view of a raised area corresponding to a wood pattern according to the present invention. -
FIG. 5 is a schematic drawing showing another forming method of the embodiment of the present invention. - Please refer to
FIG. 1, 2, 3 and 4 . Afloor mat puzzle 10 comprises abottom layer 11 and asurface layer 12 fixed onto a top of thebottom layer 11. Thebottom layer 11 is a foam material comprising EVA, PE, or EVA mixed with PE, Thesurface layer 12 is a hard plastic film embossed with a wood pattern and has at least oneindentation portion 122 and at least one raisedportion 123 corresponding to the wood pattern. A peripheral edge of thefloor mat puzzle 10 comprises at least oneconvex region 13 and oneconcave region 14. - In a first embodiment of the manufacturing method for the
floor mat puzzle 10, thesurface layer 12 is embossed with thewood pattern 121, and a bottom surface of thesurface layer 12 is coated with an adhesive agent for attachment to thebottom layer 11. - In a second embodiment of the manufacturing method for the
floor mat puzzle 10, thesurface layer 12 is embossed with thewood pattern 121, and thesurface layer 12 and thebottom layer 11 are hot melted together. - In a third embodiment of the manufacturing method for the
floor mat puzzle 10, thesurface layer 12 overlaps a top surface of thebottom layer 11, embossed to have thewood pattern 121, and hot-pressed to combine with thebottom layer 11. - By the structure of the above specific embodiment, the following benefits can be obtained: Since the
surface layer 12 of thefloor mat puzzle 10 is a plastic film with high hardness, embossed with thewood pattern 121, and has at least oneindentation portion 122 and at least one raisedportion 123, which can not only greatly improves the wear resistance of thefloor mat puzzle 10 but also reduce the wear and tear of thefloor mat puzzle 10. Furthermore, thesurface layer 12 provides protection for thewood pattern 121 and also waterproof and weather-resistant features. In addition, theconcave region 122 and convexregion 123 of thewood pattern 121 provides slip-resistant effect for thefloor mat puzzle 10 to increase the security of use. - Although the present invention has been explained in relation to its preferred embodiment, it is to be understood that many other possible modifications and variations can be made without departing from the spirit and scope of invention as hereinafter claimed.
