Abstract

A breast feeding apron assembly for facilitating private breast feeding in a public location includes an apron that may be worn during breast feeding. The apron has a pair of openings and each of the openings is aligned with a nipple on a breast thereby facilitating an infant to breast feed. A pair of first straps is each coupled to and extends away from the apron and each of the first straps is selectively tied around a neck. A pair of second straps is each coupled to and extends away from the apron and each of the second straps is selectively tied around a waist.

The disclosure and prior art relates to apron devices and more particularly pertains to a new apron device for facilitating private breast feeding in a public location.

BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

An embodiment of the disclosure meets the needs presented above by generally comprising an apron that may be worn during breast feeding. The apron has a pair of openings and each of the openings is aligned with a nipple on a breast thereby facilitating an infant to breast feed. A pair of first straps is each coupled to and extends away from the apron and each of the first straps is selectively tied around a neck. A pair of second straps is each coupled to and extends away from the apron and each of the second straps is selectively tied around a waist.
There has thus been outlined, rather broadly, the more important features of the disclosure in order that the detailed description thereof that follows may be better understood, and in order that the present contribution to the art may be better appreciated. There are additional features of the disclosure that will be described hereinafter and which will form the subject matter of the claims appended hereto.
The objects of the disclosure, along with the various features of novelty which characterize the disclosure, are pointed out with particularity in the claims annexed to and forming a part of this disclosure.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

With reference now to the drawings, and in particular to FIGS. 1 through 4 thereof, a new apron device embodying the principles and concepts of an embodiment of the disclosure and generally designated by the reference numeral 10 will be described.
As best illustrated in FIGS. 1 through 4, the breast feeding apron assembly 10 generally comprises an apron 12 that may be worn by a mother during breast feeding. The apron 12 has a pair of openings 13 and each of the openings 13 is aligned with a nipple on a breast. In this way an infant may breast feed when the apron 12 is worn. Moreover, the apron 12 is comprised of an opaque material to inhibit the breast from being visible during breast feeding. In this way the apron 12 enhances the mother's privacy when breast feeding in a public location.
The apron 12 has a first surface 14, a second surface 16 and a peripheral edge 18 extending therebetween. The peripheral edge 18 has a top side 20, a first lateral side 22 and a second lateral side 24. Each of the openings 13 extends through the first 14 and second 16 surfaces and each of the openings 13 is spaced apart from a center of the apron 12. The apron 12 may be comprised of a deformable material such as cotton or the like to enhance comfort for the infant when the infant is breast feeding. A pocket 26 is coupled to the apron 12 and the pocket 26 may store objects. The pocket 26 is positioned on the first surface 14 of the apron 12 and the pocket 26 has an upper end 28. The upper end 28 is open to access an interior of the pocket 26. A valance may be coextensively coupled to the peripheral edge 18 of the apron 12 for decorative purposes.
A pair of first straps 30 is provided and each of the first straps 30 is coupled to and extends away from the apron 12. Each of the first straps 30 is selectively tied around a neck to secure the apron 12. Each of the first straps 30 is positioned on the top side 20 of the peripheral edge 18 of the apron 12. A pair of second straps 32 is provided and each of the second straps 32 is coupled to and extends away from the apron 12. Each of the second straps 32 is selectively tied around a waist and each of the second straps 32 is positioned on an associated one of the first lateral side 22 and the second lateral side 24 of the peripheral edge 18 of the apron 12.
In use, the apron 12 is worn for breast feeding in a public location. Each of the openings 13 in the apron 12 is aligned with the nipple on a breast when the apron 12 is worn. In this way the infant may breast feed when the apron 12 is worn. Moreover, the apron 12 conceals the breasts when the infant is breast feeding. In this way the apron 12 enhances the mother's privacy when breast feeding in the public location.
With respect to the above description then, it is to be realized that the optimum dimensional relationships for the parts of an embodiment enabled by the disclosure, to include variations in size, materials, shape, form, function and manner of operation, assembly and use, are deemed readily apparent and obvious to one skilled in the art, and all equivalent relationships to those illustrated in the drawings and described in the specification are intended to be encompassed by an embodiment of the disclosure.
Therefore, the foregoing is considered as illustrative only of the principles of the disclosure. Further, since numerous modifications and changes will readily occur to those skilled in the art, it is not desired to limit the disclosure to the exact construction and operation shown and described, and accordingly, all suitable modifications and equivalents may be resorted to, falling within the scope of the disclosure. In this patent document, the word “comprising” is used in its non-limiting sense to mean that items following the word are included, but items not specifically mentioned are not excluded. A reference to an element by the indefinite article “a” does not exclude the possibility that more than one of the element is present, unless the context clearly requires that there be only one of the elements.

Claims

I claim:

1. A breast feeding apron assembly being configured to conceal breasts during breast feeding, the assembly comprising:

an apron being configured to be worn during breast feeding, the apron having a pair of openings, each of the openings being configured to be aligned with a nipple on a breast thereby facilitating an infant to breast feed;

a pair of first straps, each of the first straps being coupled to and extending away from the apron wherein each of the first straps is configured to be tied around a neck; and

a pair of second straps, each of the second straps being coupled to and extending away from the apron wherein each of the second straps is configured to be tied around a waist.

2. The assembly according to claim 1, wherein the apron has a first surface, a second surface and a peripheral edge extending therebetween, the peripheral edge having a top side, a first lateral side and a second lateral side, each of the openings extending through the first and second surfaces, each of the openings being spaced apart from a center of the apron.

3. The assembly according to claim 2, further comprising a pocket being coupled to the apron wherein the pocket is configured to store objects, the pocket being positioned on the first surface of the apron, the pocket having an upper end, the upper end being open to access an interior of the pocket.

4. The assembly according to claim 2, wherein the apron is comprised of an opaque material wherein the apron is configured to inhibit the breast from being visible during breast feeding.

5. The assembly according to claim 2, wherein each of the first straps is positioned on the top side of the peripheral edge of the apron.

6. The assembly according to claim 2, wherein each of the second straps being positioned on an associated one of the first lateral side and the second lateral side of the peripheral edge of the apron.

7. A breast feeding apron assembly being configured to conceal breasts during breast feeding, the assembly comprising:

an apron being configured to be worn during breast feeding, the apron having a pair of openings, each of the openings being configured to be aligned with a nipple on a breast thereby facilitating an infant to breast feed, the apron being comprised of an opaque material wherein the apron is configured to inhibit the breast from being visible during breast feeding, the apron having a first surface, a second surface and a peripheral edge extending therebetween, the peripheral edge having a top side, a first lateral side and a second lateral side, each of the openings extending through the first and second surfaces, each of the openings being spaced apart from a center of the apron;

a pocket being coupled to the apron wherein the pocket is configured to store objects, the pocket being positioned on the first surface of the apron, the pocket having an upper end, the upper end being open to access an interior of the pocket;

a pair of first straps, each of the first straps being coupled to and extending away from the apron wherein each of the first straps is configured to be tied around a neck, each of the first straps being positioned on the top side of the peripheral edge of the apron; and

a pair of second straps, each of the second straps being coupled to and extending away from the apron wherein each of the second straps is configured to be tied around a waist, each of the second straps being positioned on an associated one of the first lateral side and the second lateral side of the peripheral edge of the apron.
