Abstract

A way in which to assist with preparing a gift so that it looks more organized and attractive by utilizing and attaching both items to the gift bag. Attaching the tissue paper to the bag rather than placing it directly into the bag avoids the paper from falling too far down into the bag or hanging or falling over the outside of the bag thereby appearing limp. The holder for the envelope reminds the giver not to forget to include the card as well as avoids the envelope from falling down inside the bag between the loose tissue paper and gift(s) inside the bag and having the receiver of the gift take time to search for the envelope containing the card.

  • FIG. 9 is a finished view of what it would look like when using both the gift tissue paper holder (only displaying the tissue paper) and gift envelope card holder attached to a gift bag.
  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
  • The Gift Bag Tissue Paper Holder and Envelope Card Holder are designed to enhance the overall appearance of a gift FIG. 9. In most cases, when gift tissue paper is placed inside of a gift bag, the tissue paper inevitably slumps over the outside of the bag or falls down inside of the bag leaving the tissue paper looking drab, worn, and unappealing. The Gift Bag Tissue Paper Holder assists with enabling the tissue paper to stay upward 2 without falling outward or inward while maintaining the integrity of the appearance of the bag as well as the gift inside. This will aid in keeping the tissue paper from falling down into the bag during transport or simply while the bag sits on the table at a party or gathering waiting to be given to the recipient.
  • The Gift Bag Tissue Paper Holder is designed to be placed in the interior of the gift bag FIG. 3. It has an elongated double horizontal slit flap opening on the front of the holder which allows for a single or multiple sheets of gift tissue paper to be placed inside and securely holds the tissue paper(s) 2.
  • Once the tissue paper is placed into the holder behind the front flap, the adhesive strip 3 on the back of the holder FIG. 2, is removed and the holder is ready to be placed inside of the gift bag at any position the giver desires 4. FIG. 3 shows the interior of the gift bag of how the holder is to be placed.
  • FIG. 4 shows another design for the tissue paper holder is one that has a “V-shaped” groove 5 with a single horizontal slit at the base 6 of the groove. The top of the groove has a “V-shape” 3 like the opening of a vase so that the tissue paper will fall or lean on both sides but not outward or inward once it is placed into the groove. This type of holder is designed to have multiple “V-shaped grooves and slits depending on the width of the holder to accommodate the width of the gift bag.
  • Once the tissue paper is placed into the “V-shaped” grooves and base slits, the adhesive strip 7 found on the back of the holder FIG. 5, is removed and the holder is ready to be placed inside of the gift bag at any position the giver desires. FIG. 6 shows an interior view of the holder 8 in the gift bag.
  • Both of the holders can be manufactured so that they are pre-attached to the gift bag. If using a pre-attached holder, the only process needed is to place the tissue paper either behind the front flap of the holder 2 or in front of the top of the V-shaped slit and behind the base slit 3. The Gift Bag Tissue Paper Holder can be placed at various positions inside of the bag depending on the depth of the bag and how much of the tissue you want to stick out of the top of the bag.
  • The Gift Bag Tissue Paper Holder is constructed of light-weight cardboard to allow for stiffness strong enough to hold up the tissue paper but not too thick so as not to pull the sides of the gift bag inward or downward. It can be manufactured in various lengths to accommodate the width and size of various bags because gift bags are manufactured in a variety of shapes and sizes as follows:
  • 5 × 12.75 × 3.5 10.5 × 13 × 5.5 16 × 6 × 12
    5.25 × 8.375 × 3.25 12 × 7 × 12 16 × 6 × 16

    10 × 13.5 × 5.5 15 × 8 × 20
  • FIG. 7 illustrates the Gift Envelope Card Holder which resembles a miniature five-sided (front 9, back, bottom, right, and left), pleated 10 bag with a top opening but no handles and less width and depth.
  • It is designed to be placed on either side of the bag (front, back, left, or right side) and is used as a means of placing the envelope containing the card. The envelope holder is designed to allow for extra space to accommodate any additional items other than the card such as numerous cash bills, gift card, etc.
  • FIG. 8 shows the back or rear of the holder has an adhesive peel 11 and, once removed, allows for the card holder to be pressed firmly against the bag ready for use. The Gift Envelope Card Holder also acts as a reminder to the giver not to forget the card. Many times cards are not placed with a gift and are left behind or the card gets buried or lost in the gift bag and the receiver must search to find the envelope in order to reveal its contents and its giver.
  • By placing the holder on the outside of the bag 13, it creates a more unified look, ease of quickly locating the envelope, and assists with alleviating the problem of forgetting to include the card. Utilizing the card holder is not only a reminder to place the card with the gift but it also makes it easy for the recipient to find the card and not have to search inside the bag looking for it
  • The Gift Envelope Card Holder can be constructed from a variety of material including, but not limited to, clear, see-thru plastic; light-weight cardboard, including various designs and colors to match and blend in with the pattern(s) and color(s) of the outside of the gift bag further giving the gift a unique and tailored look. The Envelope Card Holder will come in various sizes to accommodate the variety of envelope sizes as follows:

  • FIG. 9 illustrates when the tissue paper 12 stands upright from utilizing the tissue paper holder and the card holder 13 are used together on the gift bag 14 they complement one another as well as the gift bag and allow for a more coordinated, freshly-made, cohesive, and eye-catching gift.
