A roll-up door equipped oven having a roll-up door in place of a hinged door includes a stove. A panel is coupled to and positioned in the stove to define an upper chamber. A pair of tracks is coupled singly to opposing sides of an opening in the stove. The tracks extend along the opposing sides and curvedly into the upper chamber. A plurality of panels is rollably coupled to and extends between the tracks. Each panel is hingedly coupled to an adjacent panel. An actuator is coupled to the stove and operationally coupled to the panels. A controller is positioned to compel the actuator to selectively compel the panels between a closed configuration, wherein the panels cover the opening, and an open configuration, wherein the panels are positioned within the upper chamber and the opening is configured to allow access to the upper chamber.

- The disclosure and prior art relates to ovens and more particularly pertains to a new oven having a roll-up door in place of a hinged door.
- An embodiment of the disclosure meets the needs presented above by generally comprising a stove. A panel is coupled to and positioned in the stove to define an upper chamber. A pair of tracks is coupled singly to opposing sides of an opening in the stove. The tracks extend along the opposing sides and curvedly into the upper chamber. A plurality of panels is rollably coupled to and extends between the tracks. Each panel is hingedly coupled to an adjacent panel. An actuator is coupled to the stove and operationally coupled to the panels. A controller is positioned to compel the actuator to selectively compel the panels between a closed configuration, wherein the panels cover the opening, and an open configuration, wherein the panels are positioned within the upper chamber and the opening is configured to allow access to the upper chamber.
- There has thus been outlined, rather broadly, the more important features of the disclosure in order that the detailed description thereof that follows may be better understood, and in order that the present contribution to the art may be better appreciated. There are additional features of the disclosure that will be described hereinafter and which will form the subject matter of the claims appended hereto.
- The objects of the disclosure, along with the various features of novelty which characterize the disclosure, are pointed out with particularity in the claims annexed to and forming a part of this disclosure.

FIGS. 1 through 6 thereof, a new oven embodying the principles and concepts of an embodiment of the disclosure and generally designated by thereference numeral 10 will be described. - As best illustrated in
FIGS. 1 through 6 , the roll-up door equippedoven 10 generally comprises astove 12 that defines aninternal space 14. Thestove 12 is configured to position on a floor. Aplate 60 is coupled to thestove 12 and is positioned in theinternal space 14 to define anupper chamber 16 and alower chamber 18. Anopening 20 is positioned in afront 22 of thestove 12. Theopening 20 is configured to allow a user to access theupper chamber 16. - Each of a pair of
tracks 24 is coupled to thestove 12 adjacent to a respectiveopposing side 26 of the opening 20. Thetrack 24 extends along the respectiveopposing side 26 and curvedly into theupper chamber 16. Thetrack 24 is substantially curvedly L-shaped. In one embodiment, thetracks 24 extend into theupper chamber 16 proximate to atop 28 of thestove 12. - A plurality of
panels 30 is rollably coupled to and extends between thetracks 24. Eachpanel 30 is hingedly coupled to anadjacent panel 30 such that eachpanel 30 is selectively positionable transverse to theadjacent panel 30. In one embodiment, the plurality ofpanels 30 comprises fivepanels 30. In another embodiment, thepanels 30 comprise tempered glass. In yet another embodiment, thepanels 30 comprise dual-paned tempered glass. - An
actuator 32 is coupled to thestove 12 and is positioned in theinternal space 14. Theactuator 32 is operationally coupled to the plurality ofpanels 30. Theactuator 32 is positioned to selectively compel the plurality ofpanels 30 between a closed configuration and an open configuration. In the closed configuration, thepanels 30 are positioned to cover theopening 20. In the open configuration, thepanels 30 are positioned within theupper chamber 16 and theopening 20 is configured to allow the user to access theupper chamber 16. - In one embodiment, the
actuator 32 comprises amotor 34 and achain 36. Themotor 34 is coupled to thestove 12 and is positioned in thelower chamber 18. Themotor 34 is coupled to a source of alternating current. Ashaft 38 is operationally coupled to and extends from themotor 34. Agear 40 is axially coupled to theshaft 38. Thegear 40 is positioned on theshaft 38 so that themotor 34 is positioned to compel rotation of thegear 40. Acogwheel 42 is rotationally coupled to thestove 12. Thecogwheel 42 is positioned adjacent to anupper edge 44 of the opening 20, adjacent to arespective track 24. Thechain 36 is loopedly positioned around and gearedly coupled to both thegear 40 and thecogwheel 42. Thechain 36 also is coupled to arespective panel 30. Thechain 36 is positioned to rotate around thecogwheel 42 and thegear 40 coincident with rotation of theshaft 38. Thechain 36 is positioned to selectively compel the plurality ofpanels 30 between the closed configuration and the open configuration. In one embodiment, thechain 36 is coupled to alowermost panel 46. - Each of a plurality of
wheels 48 is axially coupled to arespective panel 30 and is rollably coupled to arespective track 24. Thewheels 48 are positioned to roll within thetracks 24 as thepanels 30 are selectively compelled between the closed configuration and the open configuration. In one embodiment, the plurality ofwheels 48 comprises fourwheels 48 that are positioned singly proximate to eachcorner 50 of the plurality ofpanels 30. - A
controller 52 is coupled to thefront 22 of thestove 12. Thecontroller 52 is operationally coupled to theactuator 32. Thecontroller 52 is positioned to compel theactuator 32 to selectively compel the plurality ofpanels 30 between the closed configuration and the open configuration. In one embodiment, theactuator 32 is positioned adjacent to aright side 54 of thestove 12 proximate to a bottom 56 of thestove 12. In another embodiment, theactuator 32 comprises apedal 58. Thepedal 58 is operationally coupled to themotor 34. Thepedal 58 is configured to be depressed a first time by a foot of the user to compel themotor 34 to rotate thechain 36. Thechain 36 is positioned to compel thepanels 30 from the closed configuration to the open configuration. Thepedal 58 is configured to be depressed a second time to compel thepanels 30 from the open configuration to the closed configuration. - In use, the
pedal 58 is configured to be depressed the first time by the foot of the user to compel themotor 34 to rotate thechain 36. Thechain 36 is positioned to compel thepanels 30 from the closed configuration to the open configuration. Theopening 20 is configured to allow the user to access theupper chamber 16. Thepedal 58 is configured to be depressed the second time to compel thepanels 30 from the open configuration to the closed configuration. Thewheels 48 that are positioned on thepanels 30 are positioned to roll within thetracks 24 as thepanels 30 are selectively compelled between the closed configuration and the open configuration. - With respect to the above description then, it is to be realized that the optimum dimensional relationships for the parts of an embodiment enabled by the disclosure, to include variations in size, materials, shape, form, function and manner of operation, assembly and use, are deemed readily apparent and obvious to one skilled in the art, and all equivalent relationships to those illustrated in the drawings and described in the specification are intended to be encompassed by an embodiment of the disclosure.
- Therefore, the foregoing is considered as illustrative only of the principles of the disclosure. Further, since numerous modifications and changes will readily occur to those skilled in the art, it is not desired to limit the disclosure to the exact construction and operation shown and described, and accordingly, all suitable modifications and equivalents may be resorted to, falling within the scope of the disclosure. In this patent document, the word “comprising” is used in its non-limiting sense to mean that items following the word are included, but items not specifically mentioned are not excluded. A reference to an element by the indefinite article “a” does not exclude the possibility that more than one of the element is present, unless the context clearly requires that there be only one of the elements.
Claims (12)
1. A roll-up door equipped oven comprising:
a stove defining an internal space, said stove being configured for positioning on a floor;
a plate coupled to said stove and positioned in said internal space defining an upper chamber and a lower chamber;
an opening positioned in a front of said stove, wherein said opening is positioned in said front such that said opening is configured for accessing said upper chamber;
a pair of tracks, each said track being coupled to said stove adjacent to a respective opposing side of said opening, said track extending along said respective said opposing side and curvedly into said upper chamber such that said track is substantially curvedly L-shaped;
a plurality of panels rollably coupled to and extending between said tracks, each said panel being hingedly coupled to an adjacent said panel such that each said panel is selectively positionable transverse to said adjacent said panel;
an actuator coupled to said stove and positioned in said internal space, said actuator being operationally coupled to said plurality of panels;
a controller coupled to said front of said stove, said controller being operationally coupled to said actuator; and
wherein said actuator is positioned in said stove such that said actuator is positioned for selectively compelling said plurality of panels between a closed configuration, wherein said panels are positioned for covering said opening, and an open configuration, wherein said panels are positioned within said upper chamber such that said opening is configured for accessing said upper chamber, wherein said controller is positioned on said stove such that said controller is positioned for compelling said actuator for selectively compelling said plurality of panels between the closed configuration and the open configuration.
2. The oven of claim 1 , further including said tracks extending into said upper chamber proximate to a top of said stove.
3. The oven of claim 1 , further including said plurality of panels comprising five said panels.
4. The oven of claim 1 , further including said panels comprising tempered glass.
5. The oven of claim 4 , further including said panels comprising dual-paned tempered glass.
6. The oven of claim 1 , further including said actuator comprising:
a motor coupled to said stove and positioned in said lower chamber, said motor being coupled to a source of alternating current;
a shaft operationally coupled to and extending from said motor;
a gear axially coupled to said shaft, wherein said gear is positioned on said shaft such that said motor is positioned for compelling rotation of said gear;
a cogwheel rotationally coupled to said stove, said cogwheel being positioned adjacent to an upper edge of said opening adjacent to a respective said track;
a chain loopedly positioned around and gearedly coupled to said gear and said cogwheel, said chain being coupled to a respective said panel; and
wherein said chain is positioned on said cogwheel such that said chain is positioned for rotating around said cogwheel and said gear coincident with rotation of said shaft such that said chain is positioned for selectively compelling said plurality of panels between the closed configuration and the open configuration.
7. The oven of claim 6 , further including said chain being coupled to a lowermost said panel.
8. The oven of claim 1 , further including a plurality of wheels, each said wheel being axially coupled to a respective said panel and rollably coupled to a respective said track, wherein said wheels are positioned on said panels such that said wheels are positioned for rolling within said tracks as said panels are selectively compelled between the closed configuration and the open configuration.
9. The oven of claim 8 , further including said plurality of wheels comprising four said wheels positioned singly proximate to each corner of said plurality of panels;
10. The oven of claim 1 , further including said actuator being positioned adjacent to a right side of said stove proximate to a bottom of said stove.
11. The oven of claim 10 , further including said actuator comprising a pedal, said pedal being operationally coupled to said motor, wherein said pedal is positioned on said stove such that said pedal is configured for depressing a first time by a foot of a user for compelling said motor for rotating said chain such that said chain is positioned for compelling said panels from the closed configuration to the open configuration, and wherein said pedal is configured for depressing a second time for compelling said panels from the open configuration to the closed configuration.
12. A roll-up door equipped oven comprising:
a stove defining an internal space, said stove being configured for positioning on a floor;
a plate coupled to said stove and positioned in said internal space defining an upper chamber and a lower chamber;
an opening positioned in a front of said stove, wherein said opening is positioned in said front such that said opening is configured for accessing said upper chamber;
a pair of tracks, each said track being coupled to said stove adjacent to a respective opposing side of said opening, said track extending along said respective said opposing side and curvedly into said upper chamber such that said track is substantially curvedly L-shaped, said tracks extending into said upper chamber proximate to a top of said stove;
a plurality of panels rollably coupled to and extending between said tracks, each said panel being hingedly coupled to an adjacent said panel such that each said panel is selectively positionable transverse to said adjacent said panel, said plurality of panels comprising five said panels, said panels comprising tempered glass, said panels comprising dual-paned tempered glass;
an actuator coupled to said stove and positioned in said internal space, said actuator being operationally coupled to said plurality of panels, wherein said actuator is positioned in said stove such that said actuator is positioned for selectively compelling said plurality of panels between a closed configuration, wherein said panels are positioned for covering said opening, and an open configuration, wherein said panels are positioned within said upper chamber such that said opening is configured for accessing said upper chamber, said actuator comprising:
a motor coupled to said stove and positioned in said lower chamber, said motor being coupled to a source of alternating current,
a shaft operationally coupled to and extending from said motor,
a gear axially coupled to said shaft, wherein said gear is positioned on said shaft such that said motor is positioned for compelling rotation of said gear,
a cogwheel rotationally coupled to said stove, said cogwheel being positioned adjacent to an upper edge of said opening adjacent to a respective said track, and
a chain loopedly positioned around and gearedly coupled to said gear and said cogwheel, said chain being coupled to a respective said panel, wherein said chain is positioned on said cogwheel such that said chain is positioned for rotating around said cogwheel and said gear coincident with rotation of said shaft such that said chain is positioned for selectively compelling said plurality of panels between the closed configuration and the open configuration, said chain being coupled to a lowermost said panel;
a plurality of wheels, each said wheel being axially coupled to a respective said panel and rollably coupled to a respective said track, wherein said wheels are positioned on said panels such that said wheels are positioned for rolling within said tracks as said panels are selectively compelled between the closed configuration and the open configuration, said plurality of wheels comprising four said wheels positioned singly proximate to each corner of said plurality of panels;
a controller coupled to said front of said stove, said controller being operationally coupled to said actuator, wherein said controller is positioned on said stove such that said controller is positioned for compelling said actuator for selectively compelling said plurality of panels between the closed configuration and the open configuration, said actuator being positioned adjacent to a right side of said stove proximate to a bottom of said stove, said actuator comprising a pedal, said pedal being operationally coupled to said motor, wherein said pedal is positioned on said stove such that said pedal is configured for depressing a first time by a foot of a user for compelling said motor for rotating said chain such that said chain is positioned for compelling said panels from the closed configuration to the open configuration, and wherein said pedal is configured for depressing a second time for compelling said panels from the open configuration to the closed configuration; and
wherein said pedal is positioned on said stove such that said pedal is configured for depressing the first time by the foot of a user for compelling said motor for rotating said chain such that said chain is positioned for compelling said panels from the closed configuration to the open configuration such that said opening is configured for accessing said upper chamber, and wherein said pedal is configured for depressing the second time for compelling said panels from the open configuration to the closed configuration, wherein said wheels are positioned on said panels such that said wheels are positioned for rolling within said tracks as said panels are selectively compelled between the closed configuration and the open configuration.
