Abstract

A device that is in combination with a cigarette filter allowing it to become magnetic, to allow proper retrieval of cigarette filters that are improperly disposed of for simpler and incredible improvements to the time and in which they are obtained. A wide variety of materials and combinations may be used in minimal amounts to allow people to obtain many cigarettes in one motion. A new type of cigarette filter allowing improved clean up procedures be done in a very improved manner. Areas with high traffic, private and public gutters littered often and areas that accumulate large amounts of filters may be quickly remedied often and efficiently in short periods of time.

    FIELD
  • The present application refers to cigarette filters having the ability to be retrieved via a magnetic tool for a quicker, simpler, and more friendly disposal process.
  • BACKGROUND
  • Cigarette filters tend to be a problem with appearance and the cleanliness of public and private grounds. Users of tobacco products do not always dispose of their filters properly. Due to the amount of cigarette users, filters are being found on many properties, even if a proper receptacle is present. Often times a person who may not even consume the product has to perform duties to cleanse the property. Current methods for obtaining improperly disposed filters are mainly employee labor by hand. The introduction of a magnetic responsive filter would allow easier, simpler and faster cleanup of cigarette filters via magnetics. Allowing employees and companies to perform better and visually improve faster. Instead of an individual obtaining filters slowly, a hand tool, machine, may be able to perform the work at a much faster pace. Filters maybe picked up by the dozens within seconds compared to manual handpicking which is unpleasant, even for a user of tobacco products.
  • SUMMARY
  • By introducing a magnetically responsive material or inductive device within a cigarette filter the speed and cleanliness of obtaining improperly disposed of filters greatly improves. If cigarettes have this improvement then tools or an ordinary magnet can be designed to obtain cigarette filters, and most major properties can achieve a much simpler level of cleanliness and improve their appearances drastically in time compared to current designs. Also sideways every where that the public commutes can be cleaned of filters quickly, which not only will help the environment but also improve any areas image. Removing improperly disposed of filters from natural grounds, grass, bushes, mulch, becomes much simpler, quicker, and cleaner to perform. Note the images ,in practice, do not have to have the exact position as depicted. Being a new concept on a major product a safety regulatory body may be needed, but mainly for the appropriate design for the adequate reaction to a standardized magnet field. Cigarette filters may require multiples that are depicted or possibly multiple combinations of the devices to achieve the appropriate reaction for obtaining a cigarette filter.

  • FIG. 1 A see-through isometric view of a filter device according to a first embodiment. A thin stick like object with anchors to prevent it from exiting the mouth end of a filter towards a user. Can be inserted after majority of production has been completed.
  • FIG. 2 A see-through isometric view of a filter device according to a second embodiment. A clasp that can be formed during the filter portions production. At the beginning or any point in production even after final wrapping. Maybe within any layer or as many as necessary of varying proportions.
  • FIG. 3 A see-through isometric view of a filter device according to a third embodiment. A non perfect pellet may be contained within a filter. Its shape may vary and may be woven threw as well.
  • FIG. 4 A see-through isometric view of a filter device according to a fourth embodiment. A spherical ball may be contained within a cigarette filter. Multiple may be used if necessary, and of any size that accomplishes the desired effect appropriately.
  • FIG. 5 A see-through isometric view of a filter device according to a fifth embodiment. A coil may be formed during anytime in production, or preformed and are weaved thru and around. Multiple coils may be used, within or around any section of filter within reason. It may be a part of the filter wrapping design material, or even after design wrapping is completed.
  • FIG. 6 A see-through isometric view of a filter device according to a sixth embodiment. Thin rods may be combined with filter material during the initial process in making a cigarette, or inserted after production.
  • FIG. 7 A see-through isometric view of a filter device according to a seventh embodiment. A disc ring of magnetic material may be placed within or around the filter portion of a cigarette. It may be located anywhere or around within reason that is safe and harmless to the user. Multiple rings can be formed into a filter, and not break free from the cigarette easily over a duration of time. May also be formed as cap ends of the filter.

  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION
  • In the following detailed description, the device according to the concept for this application in the form of a cigarette filter will be described by this application. It should be noted that only a cigarette filter is described in the concept of this application it can also be used for any other item which does not respond to magnetic fields sufficiently and allow the purpose to be achieved. Recommended if materials that will oxidize be coated or contained to prevent oxidation and contamination. Figures illustrate one object or more, but more than one or one of the perceived objects maybe included to a cigarette filter for the purpose of achieving proper magnetic response and allow them to be lifted with a magnet or electromagnet with ease. Note illustrations are general shape of a cigarette see-thru and are not scaled as cigarettes are designed in wide range of possible proportions and varying paper designs. Note illustrations are of a cigarette filter and tube are for general purpose to aid in the concept of this application. Note improvement objects are contained within the filters center mass from any view as depicted, and orientation in practice must not be exact to achieve the teachings of this application.
  • Unnecessary details to cigarette design and filter are ignored to lower complexities in understanding the general purpose of this application and invention. Note drawings are to show examples and possible multiples of embodiments and combinations that may be used. Note micro beads maybe combined with filter material before production as an example. As simply wrapping a cigarette filter or inserting any magnetic material that is coated or not will accomplish the purpose of this application to solve a wide spread problem.
  • A first embodiment of the cigarette filter is illustrated in FIG. 1. Note all figures share similar numerals for common objects of a cigarette. Comprising of the filtration portion of a cigarette 101, and 102 refers to the tobacco tube portion of a cigarette. The concept in FIG. 1 includes a thin stick like object with anchors if necessary to prevent inhalation, also note 103 should be blunt. Also 103 may be rough and/or have barb protrusions and be inserted from the mouth end towards the tobacco tube. With barbs directed towards the mouth end of a cigarette to prevent any redirection towards a user.
  • A second embodiment of the cigarette filter is illustrated in FIG. 2. Embodiment 2 is to denote a clasp ring 104 to cigarette filters. Clasp ring 104 maybe of a variety of designs that would clasp,pinch around or within a cigarette filter.
  • A third embodiment of the cigarette filter is illustrated in FIG. 3. Embodiment 3 is to denote a pellet 105 within cigarette filters. Pellet 105 maybe of a varying size or in multiples.
  • A fourth embodiment of the cigarette filter is illustrated in FIG. 4. Embodiment 4 is to denote a spherical ball 106 be within cigarette filters. Ball 106 maybe of any size, single or multiple, included within 101.
  • A fifth embodiment of the cigarette filter is illustrated in FIG. 5. Embodiment 5 is to denote a coil 107 within a cigarette filter. Coil 107 can be pre shaped, or formed when wrapped into any inner layer of a cigarette filter or around the outer dimension of the filter.
  • A sixth embodiment of the cigarette filter is illustrated in FIG. 6. Embodiment 6 is to denote a thing wire like material 108, to be included during the filter manufacturing processes from end to end of the filter. Wires may be inserted after filter production. Protrusions may also be bent outward and around a filter to prevent and issues.
  • A seventh embodiment of the cigarette filter is illustrated in FIG. 7. Embodiment 7 is to include a disc 109 that are weaved through during production. Multiple discs similar to 109 may be used to achieve proper reaction or a single disc if it's more than sufficient. Discs may also be used to cap the ends of a filter and adhered by any reasonable means.
  • An Eight embodiment of the cigarette filter is illustrated in FIG. 8. Embodiment 8 is to include a cylindrical object 110 that may be woven threw. Preferred method would be a canister that can be reclaimed and recycled into future filters if not damaged.
  • Other embodiments not illustrated may include a mesh located between the filter and tobacco tube. Safety concerns be recognized for hazards. Proper judgment necessary when placing a coated ferrous or magnetic material in conjunction with a cigarette.
  • A simple way to achieve the teachings of this application, an embodiment of the concept could be to place a stainless steel sewing needle, or any material that reacts to a magnet, through the mouth end center of a cigarette towards the tobacco tube maintaining the needle stay within the filter and tube as center as possible. Obviously not the safest embodiment possible, only recommended for testing purposes and not to be actually used. The needle should be retrieved or the cigarette properly and disposed of. A demonstration of the simplicity to combine a magnetic material with a cigarette filter but not recommended for obvious safety concerns.
  • Examples of magnetic materials include Diamagnetic, Paramagnetic, and Ferromagnetic Materials. Also inductive coiling may be used, but most likely easily damaged and will not produce results after being stepped on.
  • The various aspects of what is described above can be used in one embodiment or in various combinations of other embodiments. It should be noted drawings are to help visualize the concepts and teachings of this application. Similar objects that do not adhere to magnets may use these techniques to allow faster removal and separation.
  • The present application has numerous advantages. Different embodiments or implementations may yield one or more of the following advantages. It should be noted that this is not an exhaustive list and there may be other advantages which are not herein of this application. For example, one advantage of this application is that it provides companies private and public to maintain a better image. An example of another advantage is employees, individuals in general can accomplish the task of obtaining as many cigarette filters improperly disposed of, simply, friendly, and very quickly compared to manual picking at a single rate. Multiple filters can be obtained more quickly and larger areas can be easily maintained within a much faster time period then current cigarette filters. Another advantage may be, to allow a cheap and cost effective improvement to a per-existing issue threw out public and private areas that allows a fast, quick, and friendly retrieval process.
  • Features described within the present application may be used in combinations other than the figures illustrated in depicting magnetic cigarette filters. Variations upon conditions are to be made within exceptional standards to obtain cigarette filters.
  • Whilst endeavoring in the foregoing specification to draw attention to those features of the invention believed to be of particular importance. It should be understood that the Inventor claims protection in respect to any patentable feature or combination of features herein referred to and or shown within this application whether or not particular emphasis has be placed within this application.

Claims (6)

1. A device comprising of materials which allow a cigarette filter to have appropriate responses to a magnetic field.
2. A device according to claim 1, wherein a device comprising a cigarette filter and magnetically responsive material that allow the filter to be properly obtained by a magnetic field.
3. A device according to claim 1, wherein a device be coated to prevent oxidation and contamination of the filter.
4. A device according to claim 2, wherein a device is formed by wrapping a filter with a magnetically responsive material.
5. A device according to claim 2, wherein a device is formed by inserting a magnetic material into a filter after filter production.
6. A device according to claim 2, wherein a device is formed by containing a magnetic object or material within during the filter production process.
