The dual compartment bottle may also include a fluid scale impression upon the side of the bottle.

Description

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION Field of Invention
  • The present invention relates to a dual compartment bottle that is utilized to provide two beverages in a single bottle.
  • Description of Related Art
  • Beverage containers come in all types of shapes and sizes. Many include various additional features to increase portability and convenience related to consumption of a particular beverage. Many beverage containers include insulation to keep the liquids cool or hot as desired by the user. Further certain types of lids are provided for dispensing of the beverage for consumption. Some bottles have a retractable cap that allows for a stream of fluid from the bottle; others have flip caps that allow for a user to turn the bottle for consumption as if from a cup. Further bottles and beverage containers also take into consideration gripping and therefore include various types of shapes to improve handling of the container.
  • One disadvantage of beverage containers is that usually a single beverage is available within the container. This single beverage may pose an inconvenience for a beverage container that's designed for a toddler, who may many times require multiple beverages such as milk, formula, a juice or water. As a result, it would be advantageous to have a dual compartment container that could house two different beverages within the container.
  • SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
  • The present invention relates to a dual compartment bottle that includes: a first compartment; a second compartment; a top, wherein the top is rotatable; and a resealable cap on the top where the cap is adapted to allow the flow of fluids from either the first compartment or second compartment based upon alignment. The dual compartment bottle preferably includes a contoured outer surface, wherein the outer surface includes a series of grooves creating a gripping surface. The dual compartment bottle may also include a fluid scale impression upon the side of the bottle.
  • BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DRAWINGS
  • FIG. 1 depicts a perspective view of a dual compartment bottle in accordance with the present invention.
  • FIG. 2 depicts a dual compartment bottle with the top removed exposing the dual containers.
  • FIG. 3 depicts a side view of the dual compartment bottle in accordance with the present invention.
  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION
  • The present invention relates to a dual compartment bottle that contains two compartments for fluids. The bottle includes a top that rotates with a flip cap on the top of the rotating top. The rotating top enables the user to rotate the cap, which covers an opening, over a selected compartment of the bottle to receive fluids. The bottle is divided into two fluid compartments that are separated and contained with the single bottle. An outer surface of the bottle includes ergonomic grips in the form of grooves to assist in easy handling of the bottle. Another feature of the bottle includes a fluid scale along the outside of the bottle so that the user can recognize the number of fluids contained within the bottle.
  • In reference to FIG. 1, a perspective view of a dual compartment bottle 100 is depicted. The dual compartment bottle 100 includes a top 25 that's rotatable to allow access to the dual compartments within the bottle 20. The bottle 20 includes grooved grips 21 a, 21 b along the outside surface. The grips 21 a, 21 b provide a means to easily handle and grip the bottle 20 during use. Along one side of the fluid container is a fluid scale 28 that gives a user indication of the amount of fluid ounces within the bottle. A flat bottom 27 supports the bottle on a flat surface.
  • FIG. 2 shows compartments 26 a, 26 b of the bottle 20. The top 25 is removed and a user may place two different fluids within each respective compartment of the bottle. FIG. 3 shows a side view of the bottle 20 with top 25. The cap 30 may be lifted to an open position as shown in FIG. 3 to expose opening 32. The opening 32 enables the user to access fluids through compartments 26 a, 26 b of the bottle 20. The top 25 rotates in appropriate position to allow access to either compartment and therefore give the user effective use of the dual compartment bottle in accordance with the present invention. The foregoing descriptions of specific embodiments of the present invention have been presented for purposes of illustration and description. They are not intended to be exhaustive or to limit the invention to the precise forms disclosed, and obviously many modifications and variations are possible in light of the above teaching. The exemplary embodiment was chosen and described in order to best explain the principles of the invention and its practical application, to thereby enable others skilled in the art to best utilize the invention and various embodiments with various modifications as are suited to the particular use contemplated.
