Description

    CROSS REFERENCE TO RELATED APPLICATIONS
  • This application claims priority to German Application No. 102016118267.2 filed Sep. 27, 2016, and incorporates by reference the disclosure thereof in its entirety.
  • BACKGROUND AND SUMMARY OF THE DISCLOSURE
  • The present disclosure relates to a retaining bracket for fixing a guide rail fastened laterally to a support base of a household appliance on a rod which is arranged horizontally on an inner wall of the household appliance.
  • The present disclosure further relates to a fastening system for a support base of a household appliance, as well as to a household appliance.
  • Generic retaining brackets for securing such support bases on which cooking or baked goods can be deposited in the case of a household appliance constructed as an oven or microwave or goods to be cooled or frozen in the case of a refrigeration appliance such as a refrigerator are known from the state of the art in numerous embodiments, e.g. from DE 20 2004 005 475 U1.
  • A respective pull-out guide is fastened laterally to the support base, by means of which the support base can be pulled out of the interior of the household appliance or inserted into the latter in order to be able to simply remove the goods placed on the support base or to place goods thereon.
  • The retaining brackets described there and a fastening system consisting of a plurality of such retaining brackets haven proven themselves in practice.
  • It is problematic that the support base is not fixed in a stationary manner to the respective side wall of the interior of the household appliance when using the retaining brackets known from the prior art.
  • A retaining bracket according to the disclosure has three side walls arranged in a U-shaped manner with respect to one another, which form a receiving space open to a receiving opening and with which a peripheral surface of a section of the rod can be grasped. A clamping section of the side walls protrudes into the receiving space such that the rod is held in a stationary manner in the clamping section in a direction of the transverse connection between the two outer side walls.
  • With such a retaining bracket, an exact positioning of the guide rail on a horizontally arranged rod arranged on the inner wall of the household appliance is ensured. A horizontal displacement perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the rod is thereby prevented.
  • In an embodiment, the section is acute-angled and widens towards the receiving opening. In this case, the section can, for example, have a prism-like shape, wherein the retaining bracket can be placed in a simple manner from above onto the horizontal rod arranged parallel to the inner wall of the household appliance, wherein the section shaped in an acute angle receives the rod in a clamping manner.
  • In another embodiment, the section is designed as a pair of tongues or bridges which are oriented at an acute angle with respect to each other, are embossed from the side walls, and extend from a side wall arranged opposite the receiving opening to the oppositely arranged side walls. The punching out of such tongues from the side walls of the retaining bracket can be carried out simply and cost-effectively.
  • In a further embodiment, the section clamping the rod is arranged adjacent to a second section in the direction of an axis perpendicular to the plane defined by the U-shape, in which the spacing of the opposing side walls is greater than the diameter of the rod. This variant, in which the clamping section is integrally formed in the longitudinal direction of the rod adjacent to the receiving section, can also be produced in a simple and cost-effective manner.
  • In order to prevent a vertical tipping of the retaining bracket, a projection forming a lift-off securing means is integrally formed according to a further embodiment at one end of at least one of the mutually opposite side walls, which are connected to each other by the side wall forming a mounting surface.
  • This projection can extend in the direction of the longitudinal extension of the retaining bracket, provided that the rod is bent in this region.
  • In an alternative embodiment, this projection extends perpendicularly to the longitudinal direction of the retaining bracket under the rod, so that the retaining bracket must be placed on the rod by a tilting movement during assembly.
  • According to another embodiment, a spring element, which serves to tightly clamp the retaining bracket on the rod, is arranged on the projection.
  • According to a further embodiment, a connecting element is formed on one of the mutually opposite side walls for connection to a second retaining bracket. This connecting element is used here to increase the stability of the retaining bracket and, in particular, of the fastening system.
  • The fastening system according to the disclosure, which has at least two rods which can be mounted on opposite inner walls of the household appliance, as well as at least four retaining brackets with which guide rails of pull-out guides which are fastened on both sides to the support base can be attached to the rods arranged on the mutually opposite inner walls of the household appliance, is characterized in that at least one of the retaining brackets is designed as described above.
  • In an embodiment, with respect to a first retaining bracket and a second retaining bracket, a section of the side walls tapering to a diameter of the rod projects into the receiving space. In the case of a third retaining bracket and a fourth retaining bracket, the spacing of the mutually opposite side walls from each other is greater than the diameter of the rod.
  • This makes it possible to use two of the retaining brackets, which are mounted on a rod of one of the inner sides of the household appliance, as a fixed bearing, whereas the two retaining brackets fastened to the opposite inner wall serve as a floating bearing and simple width tolerances can thus be compensated for.
  • In a further preferred embodiment, the connecting sections of two of the retaining brackets, which are arranged opposite one another, are connected to one another by means of a cross-member, which improves the stability of the fastening system and prevents twisting of the retaining brackets in the y-direction.

  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
  • In the following description of the figures, terms such as above, below, left, right, front, rear, etc. refer exclusively to the exemplary representation and position of the retaining brackets, guide rail, rod, side walls, receiving opening, projection, spring element and the like selected in the respective figures. These terms are not to be understood as limiting, i.e. by means of different working positions or the mirror-symmetrical design or the like, these references can change.
  • In FIGS. 1A-1D, reference numeral 5 denotes a first embodiment of a retaining bracket according to the disclosure.
  • Such a retaining bracket 5 serves to fix a pull-out guide 4, which is fastened laterally to a support base 1 of a household appliance, such as a refrigerating appliance or cooking appliance, on a rod 21 arranged horizontally on an inner wall of the household appliance. As is illustrated by way of example in FIGS. 7 to 10, said rod 21 may be part of a bar grating 2.
  • In the illustrated embodiment, the support base 1 is designed as a support grid. It is, of course, also conceivable to form the support base 1 as a support plate or the like with a closed bottom insert surface.
  • Each of the side gratings 2, 3 has a plurality of horizontally arranged rods 21, 31 which extend parallel to one another and which are fastened to vertically extending rods. It is also conceivable to secure only one such rod 21, 31 for fixing the guide rail 41 to each inner wall of the household appliance.
  • The retaining bracket 5 shown in FIGS. 1A-1D has essentially three side walls 51, 52, 53 which are arranged to be bent in a U-shaped manner with respect to one another. In this case, the upper side wall 53 extending horizontally in FIG. 1B serves as a mounting surface for the support of the guide rail 41 of the pull-out guide 4, as shown, for example, in FIGS. 5A to 5D.
  • The side walls 51, 52, 53, which are bent into a U in the manner as described above (each of the side walls 51, 52, 53 forms one of the limbs of the U), form a receiving space 55, which is open to a receiving opening 54, for accommodating such a rod 21 arranged horizontally on an inner wall of the household appliance.
  • A clamping section 56 of the side walls 51, 52, 53, as can be seen particularly clearly in FIG. 1B, protrudes into the receiving space 55 in such a way that the rod 21 is held in a stationary manner in the clamping section 56 in a direction y of the transverse connection between the two outer side walls 51, 52 horizontally and perpendicularly to the extension direction x of the pull-out guide 4. It is thus possible to place the retaining bracket 5 on the rod 21 from the top in the direction z, wherein the retaining bracket 5 is positioned in a defined position in the direction y by the clamping section 56. The clamping sections 56 are advantageously designed such that the rod 21 does not touch the side wall 53.
  • The clamping section 56 is preferably formed at an acute angle in this case and is expanded to form the receiving opening 55.
  • As is clearly shown in FIGS. 1C and 1D, the section 56 is designed as an acute-angled pair of tongues punched out of the side walls 51, 52, 53, which extend from a side wall 53 arranged opposite the receiving opening 54 to the side walls 51, 52 arranged opposite one another.
  • It is also conceivable to form the section as a pair of bridges, which are only laterally punched out and are connected to the respective side walls 51, 52 on the edges running in the extension direction x as well as on the side wall 53 serving as a mounting surface.
  • As can be clearly seen in FIGS. 1A and 1D, at one end of at least one of the opposing side walls 51, 52, a projection 57 forming a lift-off securing means is integrally formed. In the embodiment shown here, on the side wall 52 close to the inner wall of the household appliance in the assembled state of the retaining bracket 5, this projection 57 is embodied as a tongue which extends in the direction opposite to the extension direction x and engages behind a section 23 of the rod 21 bent at right angles to the inner wall of the household appliance, which in this case is bent at a right angle.
  • The retaining bracket 5 shown in FIGS. 1A to 1D preferably serves to fix the guide rail 41 in the rear region of the inner wall of the household appliance.
  • An alternative embodiment of a retaining bracket 6 according to the invention is shown in FIGS. 2A to 2C. This retaining bracket 6 serves in particular for fixing a front part of the guide rail to a front region of the inner wall of the household appliance. In contrast to the retaining bracket 5 described with reference to FIGS. 1A-D, the clamping section 66 is not punched in a window-like manner into the side walls 61, 62, 63, but formed as a separate clamping portion 66, which in the extension direction X is arranged next to a non-clamping section of the side walls 61, 62, 63, which are arranged bent in a U-shaped manner in relation to one another, and projects into the receiving space 65.
  • In this case too, the two opposing side walls 61, 62 are aligned at an acute angle to one another in the region of the clamping section 66 and are bent over from the horizontally extending side wall 63, which is used as a mounting surface and is opposite the receiving opening 64, at an obtuse angle to the rod 21, as clearly shown in FIG. 2B.
  • In FIG. 2D, the retaining bracket 6 is shown with two parallel clamping sections 66. Thus, the clamping section 66 is punched here in a window-like manner into the side walls 61, 62, 63, as in the retaining bracket 5 described previously with reference to FIGS. 1A to 1D.
  • In order to prevent a tilting movement about an axis parallel to the extension direction x and to the direction y of the transverse connection between the two outer side walls 61, 62, a tongue 68 extends from the side wall 63 forming the mounting surface over the front section 23 bent at a right angle from the rod 21.
  • In order to optimise the stability of a fastening system for a support base 1 of a household appliance with at least two rods 21, 31 which can be mounted on opposite inner walls of the household appliance and at least four retaining brackets 5, 6, 7, 8 with which respective guide rails 41 of pull-out guides 4, which are fastened on both sides to the support base 1, can be attached to the rods 21, 31 arranged opposite the inner walls of the household appliance, a connecting element 67 is integrally formed on the side wall 62 facing away from the inner wall of the household appliance, which connecting element serves to connect the retaining bracket 6 to a second retaining bracket 8 which is fastened to a rod 31 on the opposite inner wall of the household appliance. In addition, the connecting elements 67, 87 can serve as an attack point for the user when lifting out the support base 1.
  • A cross-member 11 is preferably used for the connection, as is shown by way of example in FIG. 10. The cross-member 11 can have different geometric shapes. Another shape is shown, for example, in FIG. 18.
  • The connecting element 67 is designed as a tongue extending horizontally from the side wall 62 in the embodiment shown in FIGS. 2A-2C. However, other designs are also conceivable in this case which can serve for the releasable or non-detachable connection of two such retaining brackets 6, 8.
  • In FIGS. 3A-3D, an embodiment of a retaining bracket 7 is shown, which may be inserted in the rear region of the inner wall of the household appliance, for example on the side opposite the retaining bracket 5, which is fastened accordingly to a rod 31, as is illustrated by way of example in FIGS. 7 to 10.
  • In contrast to the retaining bracket 5 described with reference to FIGS. 1A-1D, this retaining bracket 7 has no clamping section, so that the retaining bracket 7 can be placed onto the rod 31 in the direction z from above and can be displaced in the direction y of the transverse connection between the two outer side walls 71, 72 of the retaining bracket 7. In this retaining bracket 7, the rod 31 rests against the side wall 73 from below. Any differences in height occurring at the bearing points of the support base 1 between the retaining brackets 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10 can be compensated by additional elements.
  • In combination with a retaining bracket with a clamping section, as shown in FIGS. 1A-1D, which serves as a fixed bearing, the use of such a retaining bracket 7 on the opposite side of an interior space of the household appliance makes it possible to compensate for production tolerances in a simple manner since the retaining bracket 7 serves as a floating bearing because of its displaceability on the rod 31 in the direction y.
  • On its side wall 72, which faces the inner wall of the household appliance, the retaining bracket 7 preferably also comprises a projection 77 which forms a lift-off securing means. Furthermore, a tongue 76, which extends in the extension direction, is formed on this side wall 72 and is slightly bent towards the opposite side wall 71, thus slightly reducing the distance between the mutually opposite side walls 71, 72.
  • A further embodiment of a retaining bracket 8 is shown in FIGS. 4A-4C. In the above-described fastening system, this retaining bracket 8 is preferably arranged in the front region of the interior space of the household appliance on the same rod 31 as the retaining bracket 7, as shown in FIGS. 7 to 10.
  • The configuration of this retaining bracket 8 essentially corresponds to the retaining bracket 6 described with reference to FIGS. 2A-2C, with the difference that the retaining bracket 8 has no clamping section.
  • As can be recognised in FIGS. 4A and 4B, the section 86 of the side wall 81 facing the inner wall of the household appliance is separated by an incision extending perpendicularly to the longitudinal extension of the retaining bracket 8 into the side wall 83 serving as a mounting surface, wherein the section 86 is bent downward from the side wall 83 such that the distance of the section 86 of the side wall 81 to the opposing side wall 82 is slightly smaller than the second section of the side wall 81.
  • On the side wall 82 facing the interior space of the household appliance, a connecting section 87 extends preferably again, to which a cross-member 11 can be fastened, by means of which the retaining bracket 8 can be connected to the oppositely arranged retaining bracket 6.
  • In this case too, in order to avoid a tilting movement of the retaining bracket 8 about an axis which is oriented parallel to the extension direction x and the direction y of the transverse connection between the two side walls 81, 82, a tongue 88 is provided which extends from the side wall 83 serving as a mounting surface via a section 33 of the rod 31, which section is bent at a right angle.
  • FIGS. 5A to 5D and 6A to 6D show the arrangements of the above-described retaining brackets 5, 6, 7, 8 on respective pull-out guides 4. The retaining brackets 5, 6, 7, 8 are in each case fastened on the guide rails 41 of a respective pull-out guide 4. The pull-out guides 4 essentially consist of a guide rail 41 and a running rail 42, which is displaceably guided on the latter in the extension direction x. In the embodiment shown here, a middle rail 43 is also arranged between the guide rail 41 and the running rail 42.
  • FIGS. 7 to 10 show the arrangement of a support base 1 of a household appliance on lateral side gratings 2, 3 by means of the retaining brackets 5, 6, 7, 8 as described above. Respective pull-out guides 4 are laterally arranged on the support base 1. Thereby the running rails 42 of the pull-out guides 4 are fastened to the side edges of the support base 1.
  • In this case, the retaining bracket 5 is placed in a rear region of a left side grating 2 on one of the horizontally extending rods 21. The retaining bracket 6 is accordingly fastened in a front end of the rod 21 to the left side grating 2. The two retaining brackets 5, 6 form a fixed bearing.
  • On the opposite side, a right side grating 3 is shown, which can be attached to a right inner wall of a household appliance. Here, the retaining bracket 7 is fastened in the rear region to one of the rods 31 of the side grating 3. The retaining bracket 8 is correspondingly fastened to a front region of the rod 31 of the right side grating 3. The retaining brackets 7 and 8 form a floating bearing here in order to be able to compensate for tolerances in the width of the support base 1 or the distance between the rods 21, 31 arranged opposite one another.
  • FIG. 11 shows an alternative embodiment of a retaining bracket 9 according to the invention, in which the clamping section 96 is punched in a window-like manner into the side wall 92 facing away from the inner wall of the household appliance, while the clamping section 96, on the side facing the inner wall similar to the embodiment of the retaining bracket 6 shown in FIGS. 2A to 2C), is arranged next to a section of the side wall 91 whose distance from the opposing side wall 92 is greater than the diameter d of this rod 21. Both clamping sections 96 project into the receiving space 95, which is delimited by the receiving opening 94 and the side wall 93.
  • In order to prevent a movement of the retaining bracket in the direction z in this variant of the retaining bracket 9, a projection 410 can be formed on the underside of the guide rail 41, which presses on the rod 21 from above (against the direction z) (see FIG. 15).
  • As a further difference, in this embodiment of the retaining bracket 9, the projection 97 forming a lifting-off securing means is designed such that it extends under the rod 21 from the side wall 92 facing away from the inner wall of the household appliance.
  • In this case, the projection 97 can be formed integrally from the retaining bracket or by an additional element.
  • In this case, a front end of this projection forms a first contact point on the rod 21. Another contact point is formed by a spring element 98, which is preferably arranged on the projection 97.
  • This spring element 98 is designed here as a leaf spring, which presses with an upper end in the direction z against the rod 21. This prevents an unwanted movement of the retaining bracket 9, and thus of the support base 1, in the direction z.
  • FIGS. 12A to 12D show a further embodiment of a retaining bracket 10, which can be attached as a floating bearing on a rod 31 in the rear region of the inner wall of the household appliance, as shown in FIGS. 15 to 17.
  • The shape of this retaining bracket 10 largely corresponds to the embodiment of the retaining bracket 9 described with reference to FIGS. 11A to 11D, wherein in this case the clamping section 96 has been omitted so that on the side facing the inner wall of the household appliance only a triangularly tapering side wall 101 adjoins a side wall 103 serving as a mounting surface, and, on the side wall 102 facing away from the inner wall of the household appliance, a window-like recess is not provided, so that the rod 31 accommodated in the retaining bracket is held movably in the direction y of the transverse connection between the outer side walls 101 and 102.
  • In the case of the retaining bracket 10 too, a projection 107, which serves as a lift-off securing means, extends from the side wall 102, to which a spring element 108 is fastened.
  • FIGS. 13A-13D and 14A-14D show respective pull-out guides 4 in different perspective views for illustrating the embodiment of retaining brackets 6, 8, 9 and 10 which are attached thereto.
  • FIGS. 15 to 17 show in different perspective representations an arrangement of a support base 1 of a household appliance with laterally attached pull-out guides 4, which are fixed on side gratings 2, 3 via retaining brackets 6, 8, 9 and 10, corresponding to FIGS. 7 to 10.
  • FIG. 18 shows a modified support base 1 with retaining brackets 8 and 10, in which the guide rail 41 is laterally connected. The cross-member 11 in this case has a round cross-section and on each side a deflection, thus additionally increasing the stability. In this exemplary embodiment, the retaining bracket 10 has no spring.
