- Referring to
FIGS. 3-15 , a hard luggage case in accordance with the preferred embodiment of the present invention comprises: acase body 10, acover 40, a connecting assembly, and fourwheels 50. - The
case body 10 includes atop portion 100, abottom portion 101, a leftlateral portion 102, a rightlateral portion 103, a connectingportion 31 and aback portion 104. Thetop portion 100 and thebottom portion 101 are connected to the leftlateral portion 102, the rightlateral portion 103 and theback portion 104. The connectingportion 31 is connected to the leftlateral portion 102, the rightlateral portion 103 and thebottom portion 101. The height of the connectingportion 31 is smaller than that of theback portion 104, so as to form anopening 11 above the connectingportion 31. Thecase body 10 includes aninner space 12, and the opening 11 communicates with theinner space 12. Thebottom portion 101 is an independent unitary structure and includes a plurality of connectingends 32, and each of the connectingends 32 is in the form of a cavity formed at each of the four corners of thebottom portion 101. Theback portion 104 is provided with adraw bar 20. - In this embodiment, the connecting
portion 31 extends horizontally outwards from thebottom portion 101 by a width W and then extends upwards by a height H, as shown inFIGS. 9-13 , an arc-shapedconcave portion 120 is located at lower end of each of two lateral edges of theopening 11 to connect the connectingportion 31. - The
cover 40 is pivoted to the edge of the opening 11 of thecase body 10 by the connectingassembly 41. The design of the arc-shapedconcave portion 120 greatly facilitates the assembling of thecover 40, and the connectingassembly 41 can be disposed at different positions according to the direction thecover 40 opens. For example, as shown inFIGS. 8 and 9 , thecover 40 can be side open or top open, and the connectingassembly 41 can be a zipper. As shown inFIGS. 6-9 , the connectingassembly 41 is disposed around the peripheral edge of thecover 40 and the opening 11 of thecase body 10. As shown inFIGS. 10-12 , the connectingassembly 41 can be a clip assembly which includes a plurality of clipping pieces and clipping rings disposed at corresponding positions on thecover 40 and thecase body 10. Or as shown inFIGS. 13-14 , the connectingassembly 41 can be a magnetic assembly which includes pairs of magnets (or magnets and objects attracted to magnetically attractive objects, such as iron metal) disposed at corresponding positions on thecover 40 and thecase body 10. Or as shown inFIG. 15 , the connectingassembly 41 includes alocking member 411 and aretaining seat 412 disposed at corresponding positions on thecover 40 and thecase body 10. Thelocking member 411 can be a combination lock which cannot be opened unless a correct sequence of numbers is known. - The four
wheels 50 are disposed at the four connectingends 32 of thebottom portion 101. - The key characteristic of the present invention is the improvement to the
case body 10. Thecase body 10 is an integral structure, there is the connectingportion 31 of H height at the lower end of theopening 11 to connect thebottom portion 101. The four connectingends 32 of thebottom portion 101 are in the form of cavities which have the same depth, and each of the connectingends 32 is provided with thesame wheel 50, so that thewheels 50 can be maintained at the same level. - Besides, since the
case body 10 is an integral unitary structure provided with the connectingportion 31, the design of the connectingportion 31 can improve the anti-collision strength of thecase body 10, strengthen the structure strength of thebottom portion 101 of thecase body 10, and enable the luggage case to stand firmly without falling. - Furthermore, the
inner space 12 of thecase body 10 is provided for carry objects, thedraw bar 20 allows the user to pull the luggage case, and thecover 40 is connected to the edge of theopening 11 by the connectingassembly 41. The connectingassembly 41 ensures that thecover 40 is locked to thecase body 10, which prevents the opening of thecover 40 during transportation of the luggage case, consequently preventing dropping of the objects from theinner space 12 of thecase body 10. - When the luggage case is big, with the
wheels 50 directly mounted to thebottom portion 101 of thecase body 10, forces will all be acted directly on thewheels 50, which improves the stability and smoothness when thecase body 10 moves or stands upright. The luggage case is less likely to fall or tilt over since the ground contact area is increased. Besides, since thebottom portion 101 covers thewheels 50 of thecase body 10, the bottom structure strength of thecase body 10 is strengthened. - While we have shown and described various embodiments in accordance with the present invention, it is clear to those skilled in the art that further embodiments may be made without departing from the scope of the present invention.
