Abstract

A lower body undergarment with a genital-receiving pouch that allows a user to perform adjustments covertly. A distribution connector and a drawstring allow the user to raise and lower the genital-receiving pouch. The genital-receiving pouch is centrally integrated into a front panel of the lower body undergarment with a top end being positioned adjacent to a waistband of the lower body undergarment. The distribution connector is connected to a bottom end of the genital-receiving pouch, in between a first lateral edge and a second lateral edge of the genital-receiving pouch. The drawstring is positioned adjacent to a top end of the genital-receiving pouch with a first end of the drawstring being connected to a waistband of the lower body undergarment. A second end of the drawstring being terminally connected to the distribution connector.

The current application claims a priority to the U.S. Provisional Patent application Ser. No. 62/319,719 filed on Apr. 7, 2016.

FIELD OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates to anatomical underwear and similar garments. In particular, the present invention relates to an undergarment for men with a forward protruding pocket used to hold the user's genitals and a means for covert adjustment of the pocket thereof.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

Undergarments are articles of clothing worn beneath a person's outfit. In particular, men's underwear are undergarments worn on the lower body that generally make contact with the skin. Underwear is useful as it prevents outer garments from being ruined or damaged by bodily excretions, while also stopping the buildup of friction between the wearer's skin. Some of the most common types of men's underwear include boxer shorts, boxer-briefs, regular briefs. Another type is anatomical underwear, which utilizes a pouch or pocket that is used to retain the male genitalia in a desired position, away from a wearer's body. Problematically, individuals often require adjustments for the purpose of comfort, which can be time consuming and inconvenient in populated settings.
It is therefore an objective of the present invention to introduce an undergarment with a covertly adjustable genital support pocket, also known as, “ELETRUNKS.” The present invention is an undergarment that is worn beneath an over garment (e.g. jeans, dress pants, pajamas, shorts, etc.). The undergarment is of the boxer brief or regular brief type that is worn by male users, comprising a forward protruding pocket or pouch used to hold the user's genitalia. The present invention utilizes a bifurcated sling that is attached to the bottom of the pocket's exterior and the waist band's exterior. The user may pull on the bifurcating sling in order to perform virtually seamless and unnoticeable readjustments of the pocket. Users may also make such adjustments from outside their pants by pinching the bifurcated sling in conjunction with the exterior of the corresponding lower body worn outer garment. With such methodologies, the present invention allows users to covertly adjust and re-adjust the position of their genitalia without drawing attention to themselves or disturbing those around them. Overall, the present invention is simple to use, sanitary, and effective.

All illustrations of the drawings are for the purpose of describing selected versions of the present invention and are not intended to limit the scope of the present invention.
The present invention generally relates to undergarment design. More specifically, the present invention is an undergarment with a covertly adjustable genital support pocket. The present invention is designed for male users to be worn beneath clothes such as jeans, pants, pajamas, shorts, etc. The adjustable genital support pocket allows the user to seamlessly and unnoticeable perform readjustments. Before further explaining at least one embodiment of the present invention in detail, it is to be understood that the device is not limited in its application to the details of the components and arrangements as described or illustrated. The invention is capable of other embodiments and of being utilized and carried out in various alternative ways. It is also to be understood that the phrasing and terminology employed herein are for the purposes of description and should not be regarded as limiting. As such, the present invention is primarily worn on the lower body, under a corresponding over-garment, for the purposes of covert adjustment and re-adjustment of the male genitalia, however, the device may be applied to many other settings, situations, and scenarios.
Referring to FIG. 1, the present invention comprises a lower body undergarment 1, a genital-receiving pouch 10, a drawstring 16, and a distribution connector 15. The lower body undergarment 1 is any article of underclothing worn around the genitalia region. A variety of different types of underclothing may be used as the lower body undergarment 1 for the present invention including, but not limited to, bicycling chamois, thermal pants, trunks, and long underwear to name a few non-limiting examples. However, for the purpose of description, the lower body undergarment 1 is herein described as an undergarment of the boxer-brief or regular brief type. The lower body undergarment 1 comprises a front panel 2, a rear panel 7, a waistband 26, a first leg hole 8, and a second leg hole 9. The lower body undergarment 1 is worn beneath clothing, with some or all interior surfaces making direct contact with the user's skin. The front panel 2 covers the anterior region of the user's body and comprises a left-side portion 3 and a right-side portion 4. Referring to FIG. 3, the left-side portion 3 and the right-side portion 4 each comprise a third lateral edge 5 and a fourth lateral edge 6. The genital-receiving pouch 10 is connected in between the left-side portion 3 and the right-side portion 4 of the front panel 2. The rear panel 7 covers the posterior region of the user's body. The rear panel 7 is connected in between the fourth lateral edge 6 of the left-side portion 3 and the fourth lateral edge 6 of the right-side portion 4, thus providing the user's left hip and right hip regions with coverage and protection. The waistband 26 circumvents the waistline of the user and secures the lower body undergarment 1 to the user's body. The waistband 26 provides compression about the user's body and prevents the lower body undergarment 1 from sliding off in unwanted circumstances.
The genital-receiving pouch 10 holds and supports the user's genitalia, suspending the genitalia in a position slightly away from of the user's body. This provides additional space for the testicles and penis of the user, thus improving comfort and hygiene level. The genital-receiving pouch 10 comprises a top end 11, a bottom end 12, a first lateral edge 13, and a second lateral edge 14. The genital-receiving pouch 10 is centrally integrated into the front panel 2 of the lower body undergarment 1. The top end 11 of the genital-receiving pouch 10 is positioned adjacent to the waistband 26 such that the genital-receiving pouch 10 is coincident with the crotch region of the user. More specifically, the left-side portion 3 and the right-side portion 4 are positioned opposite to each other, across the genital-receiving pouch 10. The third lateral edge 5 of the left-side portion 3 is connected along the first lateral edge 13. Similarly, the third lateral edge 5 of the right-side portion 4 is connected along the second lateral edge 14 to yield a closed off front region.
The drawstring 16 and the distribution connector 15 allow the user to covertly perform readjustments. More specifically, the drawstring 16 in conjunction with the distribution connector 15 allow the user to vertically raise and lower the genital-receiving pouch 10 relative to user's body and relative to the lower body undergarment 1, thus readjusting the user's genitalia. The distribution connector 15 is a flat piece of fabric that connects to the bottom end 12 of the genital-receiving pouch 10 to raise the genital-receiving pouch 10. More specifically, the distribution connector 15 is positioned adjacent to the bottom end 12 of the genital-receiving pouch 10. More specifically, the distribution connector 15 is connected to the genital-receiving pouch 10 in between the first lateral edge 13 and the second lateral edge 14. A variety of shapes and designs may be used for the distribution connector 15 in order to provide even lifting distribution. In one embodiment of the present invention, the distribution connector 15 is a triangular piece of fabric with two corners being connected to either side of the genital-receiving pouch 10 and the third corner being connected to the drawstring 16. The distribution connector 15 may be connected externally or internally to the genital-receiving pouch 10. Additionally, the distribution connector 15 may be partially or fully integrated into the fabric of the genital-receiving pouch 10. The drawstring 16 acts as the grasping element for the user and is thus positioned adjacent to the top end 11 of the genital-receiving pouch 10. Additionally, a first end 17 of the drawstring 16 is connected to the waistband 26. A second end 18 of the drawstring 16 is terminally connected to the distribution connector 15. This positions the drawstring 16 at an accessible position for the user's hands, either through the pockets of user's clothing or directly below the waistband 26. The drawstring 16 may be made from materials such as string, a cord, a ribbon, a strap, or virtually any suitable material well known and understood by those skilled in the art.
In order to utilize the present invention, the user simply pinches a portion of the drawstring 16 directly below the waist and pulls upwards. The tension force transfers through the drawstring 16 to the distribution connector 15 to raise the bottom end 12 of the genital-receiving pouch 10 upwards to the waistband 26. With this, the present invention allows the user to covertly adjust and re-adjust the position of their genitalia without drawing attention to themselves or disturbing those around them.
In the preferred embodiment of the present invention, the distribution connector 15 comprises a first branch 19, and a second branch 20. The first branch 19 and the second branch 20 are each a piece of strand or cord that may be composed of elastic or non-elastic material. It is preferred that the drawstring 16, the first branch 19, and the second branch 20 each have a rectangular cross-section to lay flat and flush against the outer surface of the genital-receiving pouch 10. Referring to FIG. 1 and FIG. 2, the first branch 19 is connected to the bottom end 12 of the genital-receiving pouch 10, adjacent to the first lateral edge 13. Similarly, the second branch 20 is connected to the bottom end 12 of the genital-receiving pouch 10, adjacent to the second lateral edge 14. This yields a Y-shape when viewed from the front perspective which further ensures that when the drawstring 16 is pulled that the genital-receiving pouch 10 symmetrically raises.
Referring to FIG. 4, it is preferred that the distribution connector 15 and the drawstring 16 are externally positioned to the genital-receiving pouch 10 for easy access. Although, in alternative embodiments of the present invention, the distribution connector 15 and a portion of the drawstring 16 are integrated into the fabric of the genital-receiving pouch 10. In yet another embodiment of the present invention, the distribution connector 15 and a portion of the drawstring 16 are positioned inside the genital-receiving pouch 10.
In the preferred embodiment, the present invention further comprises a guide sleeve 21. The guide sleeve 21 encloses the majority of the drawstring 16 to ensure that the drawstring 16 stays close to the genital-receiving pouch 10 and does not tangle or catch on the user's clothes. The guide sleeve 21 is a tubular piece of fabric that is centrally positioned on the genital-receiving pouch 10. More specifically, the guide sleeve 21 is positioned along the genital-receiving pouch 10 from the bottom end 12 of the genital-receiving pouch 10 to the top end 11 of the genital-receiving pouch 10. Additionally, the guide sleeve 21 is centrally and adjacently connected to the genital-receiving pouch 10. The drawstring 16 traverses through the guide sleeve 21 and is free to slide within the guide sleeve 21. A top end 22 of the guide sleeve 21 is preferably positioned offset from the waistband 26 to provide a grasping portion of the drawstring 16 for the user. Additionally, a bottom end 23 of the guide sleeve 21 is preferably positioned offset from the bottom end 12 of the genital-receiving pouch 10. A cross-section of the guide sleeve 21 is designed complimentary to the shape, size, and design of the drawstring 16 for a proper fit.
Referring to FIG. 3, the present invention further comprises a first leg sleeve 24 and a second leg sleeve 25. The first leg sleeve 24 and the second leg sleeve 25 envelop and cover the legs of the user. The first leg sleeve 24 is connected to the lower body undergarment 1, about the first leg hole 8. Similarly, the second leg sleeve 25 is connected to the lower body undergarment 1, about the second leg hole 9. The first leg sleeve 24 and the second leg sleeve 25 are each composed of the same fabric and material as the lower body undergarment 1. When the present invention is worn, the first leg sleeve 24 will circumvent a portion of the user's upper right leg and the second leg sleeve 25 will circumvent a portion of the user's upper left leg. The length, width, and thickness of the first leg sleeve 24 and the second leg sleeve 25 are subject to change to fit a variety of body types.
The genital-receiving pouch 10 is positioned in between the first leg hole 8 and the second leg hole 9. For maximum lateral adjustment, the first branch 19 is connected to the bottom end 12 of the genital-receiving pouch 10, adjacent to the first leg sleeve 24. Similarly, the second branch 20 is connected to the bottom end 12 of the genital-receiving pouch 10, adjacent to the second leg sleeve 25.
Although the invention has been explained in relation to its preferred embodiment, it is to be understood that many other possible modifications and variations can be made without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention as hereinafter claimed.

Claims

What is claimed is:

1. An undergarment with a covertly adjustable genital support pocket comprises:

a lower body undergarment;

a genital-receiving pouch;

a drawstring;

a distribution connector;

the genital-receiving pouch comprises a top end, a bottom end, a first lateral edge, and a second lateral edge;

the top end of the genital-receiving pouch being positioned adjacent to a waistband of the lower body undergarment;

the genital-receiving pouch being centrally integrated into a front panel of the lower body undergarment;

the distribution connector being positioned adjacent to the bottom end of the genital-receiving pouch;

the distribution connector being connected to the genital-receiving pouch in between the first lateral edge and the second lateral edge;

the drawstring being positioned adjacent to the top end of the genital-receiving pouch;

a first end of the drawstring being connected to the waistband; and

a second end of the drawstring being terminally connected to the distribution connector;

2. The undergarment with a covertly adjustable genital support pocket as claimed in claim 1 comprises:

the distribution connector comprises a first branch and a second branch;

the first branch being connected to the bottom end of the genital-receiving pouch, adjacent to the first lateral edge;

the second branch being connected to the bottom end of the genital-receiving pouch, adjacent to the second lateral edge;

the second end of the drawstring being terminally connected to the first branch and the second branch;

3. The undergarment with a covertly adjustable genital support pocket as claimed in claim 1 comprises:

the drawstring and the distribution connector being externally positioned to the genital-receiving pouch.

4. The undergarment with a covertly adjustable genital support pocket as claimed in claim 1 comprises:

a guide sleeve;

the guide sleeve being positioned along the genital-receiving pouch from the bottom end of the genital-receiving pouch to the top end of the genital-receiving pouch;

the guide sleeve being centrally and adjacently connected to the genital-receiving pouch; and

the drawstring traversing through the guide sleeve.

5. The undergarment with a covertly adjustable genital support pocket as claimed in claim 4 comprises:

a top end of the guide sleeve being positioned offset from the waistband; and

a bottom end of the guide sleeve being positioned offset from the bottom end of the genital-receiving pouch.

6. The undergarment with a covertly adjustable genital support pocket as claimed in claim 1 comprises:

the lower body undergarment further comprises a rear panel;

the front panel comprises a left-side portion and a right-side portion;

the left-side portion and the right-side portion each comprise a third lateral edge, a fourth lateral edge;

the left-side portion and the right-side portion being positioned opposite to each other, across the genital-receiving pouch;

the third lateral edge of the left-side portion being connected along the first lateral edge;

the third lateral edge of the right-side portion being connected along the second lateral edge; and

the rear panel being connected in between the fourth lateral edge of the left-side portion and the fourth lateral edge of the right-side portion.

7. The undergarment with a covertly adjustable genital support pocket as claimed in claim 2 comprises:

a first leg sleeve;

a second leg sleeve;

the lower body undergarment further comprises a first leg hole and a second leg hole;

the genital-receiving pouch being positioned in between the first leg hole and the second leg hole;

the first leg sleeve being connected to the lower body undergarment, about the first leg hole;

the second leg sleeve being connected to the lower body undergarment, about the second leg hole;

the first branch being connected to the bottom end of the genital-receiving pouch, adjacent to the first leg sleeve; and

the second branch being connected to the bottom end of the genital-receiving pouch, adjacent to the second leg sleeve.

8. An undergarment with a covertly adjustable genital support pocket comprises:

a lower body undergarment;

a genital-receiving pouch;

a drawstring;

a distribution connector;

the distribution connector comprises a first branch and a second branch;

a first end of the drawstring being connected to the waistband;

the second branch being connected to the bottom end of the genital-receiving pouch, adjacent to the second lateral edge; and

the second end of the drawstring being terminally connected to the first branch and the second branch.
