Abstract
A sock system for PURPOSE includes a sock that may be worn and the sock has a cuff. A strap is coupled to the sock and the strap may be manipulated. The strap is positioned on the cuff. The strap is manipulated to select a tightness of the cuff on a user. Thus, the user may select an amount of pressure the cuff imparts to the user.
Description
- The disclosure relates to sock devices and more particularly pertains to a new sock device for selectively choosing a tightness of the sock on a user.
- An embodiment of the disclosure meets the needs presented above by generally comprising a sock that may be worn and the sock has a cuff. A strap is coupled to the sock and the strap may be manipulated. The strap is positioned on the cuff. The strap is manipulated to select a tightness of the cuff on a user. Thus, the user may select an amount of pressure the cuff imparts to the user.
- There has thus been outlined, rather broadly, the more important features of the disclosure in order that the detailed description thereof that follows may be better understood, and in order that the present contribution to the art may be better appreciated. There are additional features of the disclosure that will be described hereinafter and which will form the subject matter of the claims appended hereto.
- The objects of the disclosure, along with the various features of novelty which characterize the disclosure, are pointed out with particularity in the claims annexed to and forming a part of this disclosure.
- The disclosure will be better understood and objects other than those set forth above will become apparent when consideration is given to the following detailed description thereof. Such description makes reference to the annexed drawings wherein:
-
FIG. 1 is a perspective view of a sock system according to an embodiment of the disclosure. -
FIG. 2 is a side perspective view of an embodiment of the disclosure. -
FIG. 3 is a back view of an embodiment of the disclosure. -
FIG. 4 is a right side view of an embodiment of the disclosure. -
FIG. 5 is a perspective view of an alternative embodiment of an embodiment of the disclosure. - With reference now to the drawings, and in particular to
FIGS. 1 through 5 thereof, a new sock device embodying the principles and concepts of an embodiment of the disclosure and generally designated by thereference numeral 10 will be described. - As best illustrated in
FIGS. 1 through 5 , thesock system 10 generally comprises asock 12 that may be worn and thesock 12 has acuff 14. Thesock 12 may be an athletic sock or the like. Astrap 16 is coupled to thesock 12 and thestrap 16 may be manipulated. Thestrap 16 is positioned on thecuff 14. Thestrap 16 selects a tightness of thecuff 14 on a user. Thus, the user may select an amount of pressure thecuff 14 imparts to the user. Thestrap 16 may extend around aback side 18 of thesock 12. - The
strap 16 has afirst surface 20 and adistal end 22 with respect to thesock 12. Afirst coupler 24 is coupled to thestrap 16 and thefirst coupler 24 is positioned on thefirst surface 20. Asecond coupler 26 is coupled to thesock 12 and thesecond coupler 26 is aligned with thecuff 14. Thefirst coupler 24 is complementary with respect to thesecond coupler 26. Thedistal end 22 of thestrap 16 is positioned at a selected point on thesecond coupler 26. Thus, thestrap 16 is retained at a selected tightness on the user. Each of thefirst coupler 24 and thesecond coupler 26 may comprise a hook and loop fastener or the like. - In an
alternative embodiment 28 as shown inFIG. 5 , thesecond coupler 26 may comprise a plurality ofsecond snaps 30. Thesecond snaps 30 may be spaced apart from each other and distributed around thecuff 14. Thefirst coupler 24 may comprise afirst snap 32. Thefirst snap 32 may selectively engage a selected one of thesecond snaps 30. Thus, thestrap 16 is retained at a selected tightness. - In use, the
sock 12 is worn and thestrap 16 is manipulated. Thestrap 16 is pulled around thesock 12 to tighten thecuff 14 around the user's leg. Thestrap 16 is manipulated to position thedistal end 22 of thestrap 16 at a selected point along thesecond coupler 26. Thus, thestrap 16 is tightened to a selected tightness around the user's leg. Thestrap 16 is manipulated such that saidfirst coupler 24 engages thesecond coupler 26. Thus, thestrap 16 is retained at the selected tightness. Thestrap 16 facilitates a reduction in pressure marks left on the user. Additionally, thestrap 16 facilitates thesock 12 to be worn without inhibiting circulation in the user. - With respect to the above description then, it is to be realized that the optimum dimensional relationships for the parts of an embodiment enabled by the disclosure, to include variations in size, materials, shape, form, function and manner of operation, system and use, are deemed readily apparent and obvious to one skilled in the art, and all equivalent relationships to those illustrated in the drawings and described in the specification are intended to be encompassed by an embodiment of the disclosure.
- Therefore, the foregoing is considered as illustrative only of the principles of the disclosure. Further, since numerous modifications and changes will readily occur to those skilled in the art, it is not desired to limit the disclosure to the exact construction and operation shown and described, and accordingly, all suitable modifications and equivalents may be resorted to, falling within the scope of the disclosure. In this patent document, the word “comprising” is used in its non-limiting sense to mean that items following the word are included, but items not specifically mentioned are not excluded. A reference to an element by the indefinite article “a” does not exclude the possibility that more than one of the element is present, unless the context clearly requires that there be only one of the elements.
