Abstract
A root volume nozzle for a hair dryer is equipped at a blow nozzle part of a dryer to increase a volume of the root part of hair. The root volume nozzle may be freely separated from the blow nozzle part to make hair volume while drying the hair, and provide anions to the hair using an anion paint.
Description
- The present invention relates to a root volume nozzle for a hair dryer, and more particularly, a root volume nozzle for a hair dryer, which is equipped at a blow nozzle part of a dryer to increase a volume of the root part of hair, may be freely separated from the blow nozzle part to make hair volume while drying the hair, and provide anions to the hair using an anion paint.
- In general, a hair dryer is a living home electric appliance used for drying or trimming wet hair wherein a heat emitted from a heat generator is transmitted via a blow fan to dry the wet hair with hot blow air or set the same into a desired hair style thereof.
- The conventional hair dryer could usually dry wet hair using hot blow air generated by a heating wire such as iron-chromium wire or nickel-chromium wire, have such a configuration in which a cylindrical main body is provided with a grip at one side on the bottom thereof, an intake port and a discharge port are arranged at front and rear sides thereof to face each other, a nozzle pipe is detachably provided at the front of the discharge port, a blow fan is placed inside the main body to be driven by a driving motor, and a heating wire is provided at the front of the blow fan.
- Further, an operation switch is provided at the grip part to adjust an amount of air blow, while providing a power cable at a tip part of the grip to be connected to an external power source.
- Accordingly, when using the hair dryer, firstly, the power cable should be put into the external power source, then, operating the operation switch to drive the driving motor, hot blow air heated by the heating wire may be discharged via the nozzle pipe coupled to the front of the discharge port, thus to dry wet hair or set the same into a desired hair style.
- However, the conventional hair dryer has usually adopted a convection heating mode using hot blow air to dry hair. In this case, if any particular part of the hair is exposed to the hot blow air from the hair dryer for a long time in order to completely dry ever the inner part of the hair, the hair may get damaged by the hot blow air.
- Further, when using the conventional hair dryer to set a hair style, a brush or the like may be used. Since the hair dryer and a brush are separately provided, heat is applied to the hair by gripping the hair dryer by one hand while setting the hair style using the brush by the other hand. Therefore, both hands are needed for working to handle the hair dryer and brush, respectively, thus complicating the work.
- Moreover, when trimming the hair by the hair dryer and brush, heat generated from the nozzle pipe of the hair dryer is scattered and the hot blow air could not be concentrated in a brushing direction. As a result, there are problems such that hair trimming may not be well done, and the heat does not reach a deep inner part of the hair even though the brush could touch the deep inner part.
- Accordingly, brush-equipped hair dryers have been currently devised. For example, Korean Utility Model Registration No. 20-0286492 discloses a hair dryer equipped with a brush.
- These hair dryers of the related art generally have a configuration which includes: a main body having a coil-shaped heater provided around an outer circumference of a horizontal bar horizontally mounted on a support at an inner central part, an intake fan mounted at both sides of the heater to suck air from an outside, a brush arranged around a whole of the outer circumference, and a casing coupled with a cover having a plurality of vent holes formed between the brushes, and intake holes formed on both sides thereof; and a grip which is coupled to one side of the main body and has an operational panel configured to supply and cut the power source to and from the heater and intake fan.
- According to the above-described related art, since the hair dryer is integrally provided with the brush, brushing using the brush may work for hair trimming or hair styling.
- However, although the above-described hair dryer is integrally provided with the brush to enable hair trimming using the hot blow air, this lacks function or effects in drying wet hair after washing. As a result, it has caused a user inconvenience since any conventional hair dryer for drying hair should also be provided and used. Consequently, there is a problem that the user needs two types of hair dryers having different usages and should bear the expense of buying the same.
- Accordingly, it is an object of the present invention to provide a root volume nozzle for a hair dryer capable of being separated from a nozzle pipe of any conventional hair dryer, wherein the root volume nozzle may be separated from the nozzle pipe and used when the hair is only dried using the hair dryer, and the root volume nozzle may be coupled to the nozzle pipe of the hair dryer and used if giving a volume to the hair, thereby achieving usability and convenience, so that hair drying and hair styling could be performed even without having two different types of hair dryers.
- In order to accomplish the above object, there is provided a root volume nozzle for a hair dryer which is provided in a hair dryer and is coupled to a nozzle pipe of the hair dryer to discharge hot blow air, including: a body having a plurality of vent holes through which the hot blow air discharged via the nozzle pipe passes; brush parts which protrude from the body in a front outer direction thereof and are positioned between the plurality of vent holes; a cut part which is positioned on a rear side of the body; a first attachment/detachment part which extends from the rear side of the body so as to be positioned at an upper portion of the cut part, has elasticity by the cut part, and is expanded during sliding along an outer surface of the nozzle pipe of the hair dryer to be coupled thereto; and a second attachment/detachment part which is positioned at a lower portion of the cut part so as to correspond to the first attachment/detachment part, extends from the rear side of the body, has elasticity by the cut part, and is expanded during sliding along the outer surface of the nozzle pipe of the hair dryer to be coupled thereto.
- Herein, the nozzle pipe of the hair dryer may further include a first engaged groove and a second engaged groove provided at the outer surface thereof to be symmetrical with each other; the first attachment/detachment part and the second attachment/detachment part may further include engaging protrusions provided at an end thereof, respectively, to be engaged to the first engaged groove and second engaged groove; and any one part of the first attachment/detachment part and the second attachment/detachment part may further include a grip part provided at the outer surface thereof to facilitate gripping thereof by a user.

- Hereinafter, the above objects and other purposes and characteristics of the present invention will be clearly understood by following embodiments with reference to accompanying drawings.
- Unless otherwise defined, all terms including technical and scientific terms used herein have the same meaning as commonly understood by one of ordinary skill in the art to which the present invention pertains. It will be further understood that terms, such as those defined in commonly used dictionaries, will be interpreted as having a meaning that is consistent with their meaning in the context of the relevant art and will not be interpreted in an idealized or overly formal sense unless expressly so defined herein.
- Hereinafter, the root volume nozzle for a hair dryer according to the embodiments of the present invention will be described in more with reference to the accompanying drawings.
- As illustrated in the drawings, a
root volume nozzle 10 for a hair dryer according to the present invention, which is provided in ahair dryer 1 and is coupled to anozzle pipe 2 of the hair dryer to discharge hot blow air, includes: abody 12 having a plurality ofvent holes 11 through which the hot blow air discharged via thenozzle pipe 2 passes;brush parts 13 which protrude from thebody 12 in a front outer direction thereof and are positioned between the plurality ofvent holes 11; acut part 14 which is positioned on a rear side of thebody 12; a first attachment/detachment part 15 which extends from the rear side of thebody 12 so as to be positioned at an upper portion of thecut part 14, has elasticity by thecut part 14, and is expanded during sliding along an outer surface of thenozzle pipe 2 of the hair dryer to be coupled thereto; and a second attachment/detachment part 16 which is positioned at a lower portion of thecut part 14 so as to correspond to the first attachment/detachment part 15, extends from the rear side of thebody 12, has elasticity by thecut part 14, and is expanded during sliding along the outer surface of thenozzle pipe 2 of the hair dryer to be coupled thereto. - The
body 12 may be made of a synthetic resin material having softness or rigidity, while thebrush parts 13 protruding in the front outer direction of thebody 12 may be integrally formed with thebody 12 by extending or protruding therefrom. Alternatively, alternative brush parts may be attached and fixed to thebody 12 so as to protrude in the front outer direction of thebody 12. - Further, a front surface of the
body 12 of theroot volume nozzle 10, that is, a front portion of thebody 12 having thebrush parts 13 and the plurality ofvent holes 11 drilled therein may be formed in a plane shape, as illustrated inFIGS. 1 and 2 . In this case, thebrush parts 13 may be horizontally arranged in the front side direction of thebody 12. - Further, the front surface of the
body 12 of theroot volume nozzle 10 may be rounded in a form of arch, as illustrated inFIGS. 9 and 10 . In this case, thebrush parts 13 may also be roundly arranged along the arch front surface of thebody 12. - The plurality of vent holes 11 are provided so that the hot blow air discharged via the
nozzle pipe 2 of thehair dryer 1 through thebody 12 is flowed out, and a size of the holes may be variously changed. Further, a shape of the holes may also be changed into different shapes other than a circle form. - The first attachment/
detachment part 15 and the second attachment/detachment part 16 have self-elasticity, respectively, which may be obtained by thecut part 14 positioned at the rear side of thebody 12. In particular, the first attachment/detachment part 15 is positioned in an upper side direction of thecut part 14, while the second attachment/detachment part 16 is positioned in a lower side direction of thecut part 14. Therefore, both of the first attachment/detachment part 15 and second attachment/detachment part 16 may have self-elasticity. - Accordingly, when the first attachment/
detachment part 15 and second attachment/detachment part 16 slide along the outer surface of thenozzle pipe 2 of thehair dryer 1 to be coupled to thenozzle pipe 2, the first attachment/detachment part 15 and second attachment/detachment part 16 are gradually expanded in a direction corresponding to each other about thecut part 14 while being put thereon, and then, strongly fixed to the outer surface of thenozzle pipe 2 due to a force of returning to the original position by self-elasticity stored in the first attachment/detachment part 15 and second attachment/detachment part 16. - According to the present invention having the above-described configuration, when a user wishes to dry wet hair using the
hair dryer 1, the wet hair could be dried with the hot blow air discharged via thenozzle pipe 2 by separating thebody 12 from thenozzle pipe 2 of thehair dryer 1. - Further, after drying the hair or when trimming unwashed hair, the
body 12 may be coupled to thenozzle pipe 2 of thehair dryer 1 and used. More particularly, the first attachment/detachment part 15 and second attachment/detachment part 16 may be put on the outer surface of thenozzle pipe 2 by pushing thebody 12 toward to thenozzle pipe 2 while placing the first attachment/detachment part 15 and second attachment/detachment part 16 of thebody 12 on thenozzle pipe 2, and then, thebrush part 13 provided on thebody 12 may be used to conduct hair trimming. - Herein, the hair trimming using the
brush part 13 may be varied according to the user. For instance, when thebrush part 13 closely contacts the root part of the hair to be trimmed while working the hair dryer combined with thebody 12, followed by slowly brushing the hair such that thebrush part 13 brushes up the root part of the hair in a round direction, the hot blow air may pass to the root part of the hair and, at the same time, the root part of the hair may be brushed round and up, thus enabling hair root volume-up. - According to the present invention, the user can trim hair by combining the
body 12 of theroot volume nozzle 10 with any typical hair dryer for drying wet hair, thus conducting desired works such as wet hair drying or hair styling. Therefore, usability and convenience may be greatly enhanced. - Further, unlike a common way for hair root volume-up by a hair dryer in a hand while holding a brush by the other hand, a work for root volume-up may be simply conducted by the
root volume nozzle 10 inserted only into thenozzle pipe 2 of thehair dryer 1. Accordingly, hair root volume-up could be more delicately and charmingly performed by freely using the other hand that did not hold the hair dryer. - The
nozzle pipe 2 of the hair dryer according to the present invention may further include a first engagedgroove 21 and a second engagedgroove 22 which are provided at the outer surface thereof to be symmetrical with each other, and the first attachment/detachment part 15 and the second attachment/detachment part 16 may further include engagingprotrusions 23 at ends thereof, respectively, to be engaged to the first engagedgroove 21 and second engagedgroove 22. - In addition, any one part of the first attachment/
detachment part 15 and second attachment/detachment part 16 may further include agrip part 24 provided at the outer surface thereof in order to facilitate gripping thereof by the user. - The
grip part 24 may be provided to facilitate a separation of thebody 12 from thenozzle 2 of the hair dryer such that, when separating thebody 12 of theroot volume nozzle 10 from thenozzle pipe 2 of the hair dryer, thegrip part 24 is taken and any one part of the first attachment/detachment part 15 and second attachment/detachment part 16 is lifted, followed by expanding any one part of the first attachment/detachment part 15 and second attachment/detachment part 16 from thenozzle pipe 2 of the hair dryer. - The first engaged
groove 21 and the second engagedgroove 22 are positioned at the outer surface of thenozzle pipe 2 of the hair dryer to correspond to each other and may have any one of various shapes such as a rectangle, semi-circle or arch. The engagingprotrusions 23 protrude from the end of the first attachment/detachment part 15 and the end of the second attachment/detachment part 16, respectively, in order to be placed at specific positions corresponding to the first engagedgroove 21 and second engagedgroove 22, thereby being engaged to the first engagedgroove 21 and second engagedgroove 22, respectively. - As such, the engaging
protrusions 23 are provided at the ends of the first attachment/detachment part 15 and second attachment/detachment part 16 of thebody 12 and, in order to place these protrusions to corresponding positions, the first engagedgroove 21 and second engagedgroove 22 are further provided at the outer surface of thenozzle pipe 2 of the hair dryer. Therefore, when coupling thebody 12 of theroot volume nozzle 10 to thenozzle pipe 2 of the hair dryer, the engagingprotrusions 23 may be engaged to the first engagedgroove 21 and second engagedgroove 22, so as to prevent a separation of thebody 12 of theroot volume nozzle 10 from thenozzle pipe 2 of the hair dryer if any artificial force is not applied thereto. - Accordingly, when rolling up the root part of the hair of a user and making hair root volume-up, the
brush part 13 may closely contact the root part of the hair and, even if brushing the hair, thebody 12 of theroot volume nozzle 10 is strongly fixed to thenozzle pipe 2 of the hair dryer. Accordingly, separation of thebody 12 from thenozzle pipe 2 may be prevented during the work. - In addition, the
body 12 may further include ananion layer 30 provided on an inner surface thereof at a position in which the vent holes 11 are drilled, in order to supply anions to the hot blow air when the hot blow air discharged via thenozzle pipe 2 of the hair dryer passes through the vent holes 11 in thebody 12. - Herein, the
anion layer 30 may be made of any one paint of charcoal powder paint and jade powder paint that are applied to the inner surface of thebody 12. - As the
anion layer 30 is further provided on the inner surface of theboy 12, when the hot blow air discharged via thenozzle pipe 2 passes the inside of thebody 12, passes through the vent holes 11 and transferred to hair, anions or far-infrared ray may be simultaneously emitted from theanion layer 30 to give health improvement effects. Especially, anions or far-infrared ray are emitted toward the root part of the hair to give good effects in health of the hair root. - In addition, the
body 12 may further include shieldingparts 17 which extend from the rear side thereof and are connected with the first attachment/detachment part 15 and second attachment/detachment part 16, in order to prevent the hot blow air discharged via thenozzle pipe 2 of the hair dryer from being flowed out through thecut part 14. - As illustrated in the drawings, the shielding
parts 17 are positioned at both sides of thebody 12 and are arranged to be connected to thecut part 14. When coupling thebody 12 to thenozzle pipe 2 of the hair dryer, the shieldingparts 17 may shield the front side of thenozzle pipe 2, that is, the front side of thenozzle pipe 2 through which the hot blow air is discharged, thereby preventing the hot blow air discharged via thenozzle pipe 2 from being flowed out through thecut part 14 of thebody 12. - In addition, the
nozzle pipe 2 of the hair dryer may further include a first lockedpart 41 and a secondlocked part 2 provided at the outer surface thereof to be symmetrical with each other; and the first attachment/detachment part 15 and the end of the second attachment/detachment part 16 may further includeelastic locking pieces 50 provided at the end thereof by extending therefrom, respectively, so as to be locked to the first lockedpart 41 and second lockedpart 42 or separated from the first lockedpart 41 and second lockedpart 42. - As such, the
elastic locking pieces 50 are further provided at the first lockedpart 41 and second lockedpart 42, and the first lockedpart 41 and second lockedpart 42, to which the aboveelastic locking pieces 50 are locked, are further provided at the outer surface of thenozzle pipe 2, therefore, the first lockedpart 41 and second lockedpart 42 may be locked and fixed to theelastic locking pieces 50 when thebody 12 of theroot volume nozzle 10 is coupled to thenozzle pipe 2 of the hair dryer, thereby preventing thebody 12 from being removed from thenozzle pipe 2 as far as any artificial force is not applied thereto. - In this regard, as illustrated in the drawings, the
elastic locking pieces 50 are mounted to be pressed by self-elasticity, therefore, when thebody 12 is pulled out of thenozzle 2 while pressing theelastic locking pieces 50 to the first lockedpart 41 and second lockedpart 42, thebody 12 may be easily separated from thenozzle pipe 2. - As described above, the present invention has been described with regard to particular matters such as specific configurational parts, preferred embodiments and accompanying drawings, however, these are proposed only to more concretely understand the present invention. Therefore, the present invention is not particularly limited to the above embodiments but those skilled in the art would appreciate that a variety of modifications and alterations may be possible from the above description.
- Accordingly, the scope of the present invention should not be particularly limited to the embodiments described above but the appended claims, their equivalents and all modifications thereof are duly included within the scope of the present invention.
- According to the present invention, in a process of trimming hair using a root volume nozzle inserted into a nozzle pipe of a hair dryer, when applying a force to the root part of the hair to make a volume, root volume may be easily and simply formed using a brush part of the root volume nozzle; and, when drying wet hair only, the root volume nozzle may be separated from the nozzle pipe of the hair dryer and used. Therefore, the existing hair dryer could be continuously used without changing a new one for the same.
