Abstract

The present invention relates to a method and apparatus for a ladies shoe that is constructed of a heel comprising multiple designs, each design is attached as desired by the user to attain the preferred heel length. Thus, a convertible shoe is provided, and consists of a shoe top portion, bottom portion, and sole. The top portion could be changeable in colors and designs, as per the requirements of the users. Alternatively, each of the interchangeable top portions may include unique features, such that the features of the shoe may be modified by exchanging top portions. The interchangeable sole portions may include a common set of features (e.g., structure, design, color, etc.). This convertible shoe is especially useful for women as it has a strong grip and is noise free while walking.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

(1) Field of the Invention
This invention relates to personalizing footwear, in particular, personalizing shoes with, for example: interchangeable design members. The interchangeable design members may be, for example, a bottom flat, wedge, or heel, and a top.
(2) Background of the Invention
For countless years, women's shoes, including sandals, have been an integral part of women's fashion. Today's fashion conscious women frequently have to obtain a vast variety of shoes, including sandals that are worn occasionally with a particular clothing combination. Furthermore, because of the season-to-season and year-to-year changes in women's dress fashions, women's shoes and sandals become obsolete long before they have become worn out. Today's economy requires conservation and reusable footwear.
Some of the problems that most women, particularly those working in offices and other indoor spaces, deal with in respect of shoes are trying to find a shoe suitable for their styles, not being able to have the opportunity to make any changes on the heel model of the desired shoe to be comfortable and stylish within the same day, having to carry extra shoes and a change shoes in order to achieve this goal, and having to purchase a plethora of shoes for all of these desires and needs. The utility model that is the subject of the invention aims to eliminate these said problems. It serves this purpose by allowing women to possess both comfort and style in a single set product whenever they want by using only a sole and a heel apparatus inserted within the appropriate mounting methods for this sole.
By way of example, U.S. Pat. No. 6,021,586, to Bucalo, discloses a shoe with an adjustable heel assembly for positioning at a number of heights. U.S. Pat. No. 2,707,341, to Romano, discloses a shoe with convertible heels that is capable of extending, retracting, and locking into position with a button assembly. U.S. Patent No. 3,056,217, to Tholander, discloses an attachable heel lift device that is comprised of a bore and dowel assembly. U.S. Pat. No. 4,610,100, to Rhodes, discloses a device that uses a mortised heel to be selectively inserted between a shoe body and a wear pad.
U.S. Pat. No. 3,608,213 converts from a high heel to a flat wedge, only allowing for two possible changes for the user. This invention also makes use of a magnet as a locking device, while a high heel fits into a mold. When the high heel wears down, it will no longer fit properly into a flat wedge mold. Also, as the magnet encounters friction, it will also wear out.
While these devices fulfill their respective, particular objective and requirements, the aforementioned patents do not describe an interchangeable, adjustable, and flexible shoe for allowing a person to easily adjust the heel of a shoe to reach a proper height.
Heretofore, there has been a lack of providing different shoes for different occasions, especially shoes that can provide various heels in different sizes, configurations, and colors, and to do so interchangeably in a safe manner.
There is a need for customizable footwear with high quality, aesthetically appealing interchangeable decorative members, or other changeable modifications or accessories that allow the consumer to make multiple desired fashion statements. However, such interchangeable decorative members and footwear need to be both manufacturable, viable, and attractively utilizable.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

A primary objective of the present invention is to provide shoes that have a plurality of replaceable bottom accessories and overlays, whereby the appearance and style of the shoe can be selectively changed at the user's discretion.
Another objective of the present invention is to provide shoes that have bottom accessories and overlays with a strong gripping. Scotch Velcro is sown into the top sole and bottom sole to provide such gripping.
It is another objective of the invention to provide women's shoes with means to display interchangeable fashion designs by sticking color strips on the shoes that match in color and/or design of the other clothing items in a woman's clothing ensemble.
Yet another objective of the present invention is to provide shoes that have a type of heel that could be hidden between the top sole and bottom sole. Its working mechanism is based on pressing the top part's hooks and loops into the sole's hooks and loops, where the top part of the shoe is sticking to the bottom. The top part is interchangeable and made especially for women.
Another objective of the present invention is to provide a shoe that has the property of turning a flat bottom into high heel. A small heel that is split in half is hidden in the bottom sole. The bottom of the shoe has a sliding, removable part that protects the scotch Velcro at the bottom of the shoe where the heel gets attached. To turn the flat bottom into high heel, the consumer first unsticks the top and bottom soles. Then, the consumer takes out the small heel, puts the halves together, and then attaches it to the bottom of the shoe. The halves also stick together by scotch Velcro.
Another objective of the invention is to provide two soft and flexible sticks hidden in the side of the flat bottom sole to shape the shoe when the heel is attached.
Yet another objective of the present invention is to provide a shoe that does not make noise while walking and looks like a regular shoe.
Another objective of the invention is to provide a shoe made of recyclable plastic, fabric, and paper materials that is available in different sizes and could be worn in dry and normal office environments. With this shoe, consumers are able to design their footwear in accordance with their wardrobe in an inexpensive way with ease, versatility, flexibility, and control that may embody uniqueness, style, empowerment, self-expression, and/or coordination.
It is, accordingly, another objective of one or further embodiments of the present invention to provide a method for the shoe to be individualized a transformed into flats, wedges, or heels. Ornamental adornments of varying shapes and colors, which can be user selected and constantly changed, as desired, may be readily placed and replaced, and aesthetically maintained on base footwear or sneakers.
It is a further objective of certain embodiments of the present invention wherein the method enables a shoe wearer to individualize the appearance of the shoe to an ever changing trendy look, even while wearing the shoes.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

The following detailed description refers to the accompanying drawings, which illustrate the embodiments of the present invention. Other embodiments are possible, and modifications may be made to the embodiments without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention. Therefore, the following detailed description is not meant to limit the invention. Rather, the scope of the invention is defined by the appended claims.
Methods and systems in accordance with the present invention allow a user to change the top and bottom of a pair of shoes without buying an entirely new pair of shoes. Methods and systems in accordance with the present invention provide a replaceable top and bottom for a shoe that may be easily attached and removed. Specifically, it will be noted in the various figures that the device relates to a height adjustable flexible shoe that allowing a person, particularly a woman, to easily adjust the heel of a shoe to reach a proper height. In its broadest context, the device consists of a shoe top portion and a bottom portion. Such components are individually configured and correlated with respect to each other so as to attain the desired objective.
In a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the shoe is comprised of a top portion, bottom portion, replaceable heel, and sole. In the sole, a plurality of holes is present for air circulation inside of the shoe.
According to another particular embodiment of the invention, a wedge could be attached as the basic bottom portion of the shoe. A flat bottom and wedge could be attached to the shoe according to the requirement. For the adjustment for the height, a replaceable heel is present, hidden in the bottom sole. There is a line between the top sole and bottom sole. Fabric tucks are present under the top sole, and top of the shoe is tucked under the sole. Detachable and washable memory foam is attached to the top sole. An interchangeable flat bottom is attached to the basic bottom. A small ½ heel screw is connected to another half heel. The invention provides two halves of the heel on the bottom sole. Two elastic triangles on the top part are provided for the purpose, when a flat bottom is transformed into a high heel. Detachable scotch Velcro is present at the heel portion of the bottom sole.
Additionally, shoes in accordance with the present invention have the economic benefit of allowing the replacement of only the sole, rather than the whole shoe, when one sole is worn down, “resting,” or otherwise not desirable for use. Most parts of the invention are made of recyclable materials. The interchangeable sole portions may include a common set of features (e.g., structure, design, color, etc.). More particularly, disclosed embodiments include noise free footwear for women while walking. Furthermore, the scotch grips are very strong. The heel could be hidden between the top and bottom sole.
As to the manner of usage and operation of the present invention, the same should be apparent from the above description. Accordingly, no further discussion relating to the manner of usage and operation will be provided.
With respect to the above description, it is to be realized that the optimum dimensional relationships for the parts of the invention, including variations in size, material, shape, form, function, manner of operation, assembly, and use, are deemed readily apparent. Claims

The invention claimed is:

1. A woman's shoe, comprising:

(a) a top sole portion,

(b) a bottom sole portion

(c) a replaceable heel,

(d) a scotch Velcro hooks sown to the top sole

(e) a scotch Velcro loops sown to the bottom sole

(f) a sliding part at the bottom of the shoe that protects the heel scotch Velcro.

(g) a flat bottom

(h) flexible sticks to shape sole for high heels

(i) heel split in half

(j) a needle heel

(k) a wedge

(l) a foam

2. The women's shoe according to claim 1, wherein the top sole could be changed.

3. The women's shoe according to claim 1, wherein the top sole is Velcroed to the bottom sole.

4. The women's shoe according to claim 1, wherein the flat bottom sole contains the detachable heel.

5. The women's shoe according to claim 1, wherein the wedge is attached to the top sole.

6. The women's shoe according to claim 1, wherein the foam is attached to the top sole is memory foam.

7. The women's shoe according to claim 1, wherein flexible sticks shape the flat bottoms into high heels.

8. The women's shoe according to claim 1, wherein ½ of the heel screws in the other ½ heel.

9. The women's shoe according to claim 1, wherein the women shoe is noise free while walking.

10. The women's shoe according to claim 1, wherein the replaceable heel could be hidden between the top sole and the bottom sole.

11. The women's shoe according to claim 1, wherein the women shoe is made of recyclable material.

12. A method for using a shoe with a replaceable sole and bottom, comprising:

attaching a top portion of the shoe which fits around the top of a user's foot and includes a flexible under portion covering the bottom of a user's foot to a detachable bottom connected a sole, and detaching the top portion of the shoe from the detachable bottom connected to the sole.
