Abstract

A vinyl material that is formed to wrap a wood or steel member. The wrap consist of four sides, a male key way, a female key way, that will interlock to form a box, thus encapsulating a wood or steel member in a protective covering.

Description

  • This application claims the benefit and priority of a Provisional Application No. 62/282,696 filed on Aug. 10, 2015. The entire disclosures of each of the above applications are incorporated herein by reference.
  • FIELD
  • The present disclosure relates to a vinyl wood wrap, and more Particularly to the ability to be opened and close around said members.
  • BACKGROUND
  • This section provides background information related to the present disclosure and is not necessarily prior art.
  • Vinyl is used in this application thus to demonstrate weather resistance.
  • A wrap constructed of any material may be another example of said purpose.
  • In construction there has always been several problems with materials that are currently being used. The first is the weather, and the second is insects.
  • When you look at the weather, rain rots wood and rust steel. The sun dry-rots wood. My invention encapsulates wood, and steel in a impervious sleeve. Weather proofing said members.
  • When you look at insects the biggest problem is termites, carpenter ants and carpenter bees. Just to name a few. This sleeve protects a wood member against said damages. By encapsulating it.
  • Currently there is nothing on the market that I have been able to find. There is real necessity for such a product, especially in the southern United States.
  • SUMMARY
  • This section provides a general summary of this disclosure, and is not a comprehensive disclosure of its full scope or all its features.
  • A vinyl wrap constructed in accordance with one example of present disclosure can include 4 sides, 1 female key way, 1 male key way, 3 rolled beads (for corner bends) and have the ability to be closed and then reopened.
  • A vinyl wrap constructed in accordance with another example of the present disclosure can include walls of different thicknesses.
  • The vinyl wrap can be installed in a horizontal or vertical manner or direction.
  • The vinyl wrap has the ability to stop insect damage when sealed with a silicon or similar product.
  • The drawings described herein are for illustrative purposes only of selected embodiments and not all possible implementations and are not intended to limit the scope of the present disclosure.
  • Fig A is a partial cross-section view of open vinyl wrap.
  • Fig B is a partial cross-section view of closed vinyl wrap.
  • Fig C is a flat view of the vinyl wrap prior to forming.
  • Fig D is an exploded cross-section view of parts: 1 female key way, 2,3,4 rolled form beads to assist in forming, 5 male key way.
  • parts 6, 7, 8, 9, being four flat sides of wrap to form sides of box.
  • Fig B illustrates parts 1 (female), and 5 (male) key ways locked together to complete box form.
  • Fig A illustrates parts 1 (female), and 5 (male) key ways unlocked to open wrap.
  • BRIEF DESCRIPTION
  • FIG. A is a front perspective view of an open vinyl wrap device of the present invention.
  • FIG. B is a front perspective view of the present invention showing a closed vinyl wrap.
  • FIG. C is a flat view of the vinyl wrap device prior to forming of the present invention.
  • FIG. D is an exploded view of the present invention.
  • DETAIL DESCRIPTION
  • part 6 can be cut as to fit around any wood member that may intersect at an angle of not less than 0 degrees and no more than 359 degrees of vinyl wrap surface, and still have the ability to lock parts 1 and 5 together.
  • Fig B may be cut at any angle to intersect corners, be it horizontally or vertically, silicon or other sealant should be used on all joints.
  • No fasteners should need to be used, but may be used if so wanted.
  • parts 1 and 5 when locked will still provide ventilation at seam as not to let condensation accumulate inside said box when the wrap is locked.
  • TESTIMONIAL
  • There has been no new matter, or significant changes made to my drawings or statements made. I have included pages 1-12, and 3 drawings (marked 1/3, 2/3, both with figures, A,B,C,D, and FIGS. 1-9. page 3/3 details for FIGS. 5, 6, 7, 8, 9) there are a total of 15 pages.
