Abstract
A flat sanding structure contains: a body including a first and a second wood planing zones. The second wooding zone has two supporting shelves and two grinding wheels. Two supports are connected with two first fixing pieces and two second fixing pieces, a third holding plate is fixed between the two grinding wheels and the two supporting shelves. Said each first fixing piece has a first through orifice and two elongated orifices, a first connecting shaft has a threaded orifice, a first holder is defined between the two first fixing pieces, and two posts are inserted into the two first fixing pieces and connected with the first holder. The first holder has a tab and an elongated hole. A second connecting shaft is inserted into each second fixing piece, a second holder is defined between the two second fixing pieces, and one of the two supports has a column.
Description
- The present invention relates to a flat sanding machine which has a second wood planing zone formed on a top of the flat sanding machine except for a first wood planing zone so as to increase wood planing zone.
- A conventional wood planing machine contains a planing tool fixed on an upper end thereof, a wood planing zone defined between the planing tool and a lower end of the wood planing machine, such that a wooden workpiece is pushed into the wood planing zone so as to be planned by the planing tool.
- However, a size of the wood planing zone is limited so the conventional wood planing machine cannot plane the wooden workpieces of various sizes.
- The present invention has arisen to mitigate and/or obviate the afore-described disadvantages.
- The primary objective of the present invention is to provide a flat sanding machine which has a second wood planing zone formed on a top of the flat sanding machine except for a first wood planing zone so as to increase wood planing zone.
- Further objective of the present invention is to provide a flat sanding machine which allows adjusting depth and a tilted angle of an abutting plate in the second wood planing zone and tilted
- Another objective of the present invention is to provide a flat sanding machine in which at least one covers or uncovers the two grinding wheels based on a size of a workpiece.
- To obtain above-mentioned objectives, a flat sanding machine provided by the present invention contains: a body including a first wood planing zone and a second wood planing zone.
- The second wooding zone is formed between two tops of two supports fixed on two sides of the body respectively.
- The second wood planing zone has two supporting shelves mounted on two inner walls of the two supports, respectively, and the second wood planing zone has two parallel grinding wheels arranged between the two supporting shelves, wherein each grinding wheel has a sanding belt rolled on a roller, a front end of each support is connected with each of two first fixing pieces, and a rear end of said each support is coupled with each of two second fixing pieces, a third holding plate is fixed between the two parallel grinding wheels and between the two supporting shelves.
- Said each first fixing piece has a first through orifice formed proximate to a bottom thereof and has two elongated orifices defined adjacent to a top thereof, and a first connecting shaft is inserted into the first through orifice of said each fixing piece and has a threaded orifice arranged on a central position thereof, a first holder is defined between the two first fixing pieces, each of two posts is inserted into two opposite elongated orifices of the two first fixing pieces and is in connection with the first holder on which a first holding plate is fixed, wherein the first holder has a tab extending outwardly from a bottom of a front end thereof and has an elongated hole defined on the tab so as to accommodate a threaded rod which screws with the threaded orifice of the first connecting shaft.
- A second connecting shaft is inserted into a second through orifice of said each second fixing piece, and a second holder is defined between the two second fixing pieces and is configured to support a second holding plate.
- Furthermore, one of the two supports has a column extending outward.

FIGS. 1 to 3 , a flat sanding structure according to a preferred embodiment of the present invention comprises: abody 10, and thebody 10 includes a firstwood planing zone 12, two supports 11 fixed on two sides of thebody 10 respectively, and a secondwood planing zone 20 formed between two tops of the two supports 11, wherein the secondwood planing zone 20 has two supporting shelves 21 mounted on two inner walls of the two supports 11 respectively and has twoparallel grinding wheels 22 arranged between the two supporting shelves 21, wherein each grindingwheel 22 has asanding belt 221 rolled on aroller 222. A front end of eachsupport 11 is connected with each of twofirst fixing pieces 42, and a rear end of said eachsupport 11 is coupled with each of twosecond fixing pieces 32. Said eachfirst fixing piece 42 has a first throughorifice 421 formed proximate to a bottom thereof and has twoelongated orifices 422 defined adjacent to a top thereof, and a first connectingshaft 43 is inserted between the first throughorifice 421 of said eachfirst fixing piece 42 respectively and has a threadedorifice 431 arranged on a central position thereof, afirst holder 41 is defined between the twofirst fixing pieces 42, each of twoposts 44 is inserted into two oppositeelongated orifices 422 of the twofirst fixing pieces 42 and is in connection with thefirst holder 41 on which afirst holding plate 40 is fixed, wherein thefirst holder 41 has atab 411 extending outwardly from a bottom of a front end thereof and has anelongated hole 412 defined on thetab 411 so as to accommodate a threadedrod 45 which screws with the threadedorifice 431 of the first connectingshaft 43. A second connectingshaft 33 is inserted a second throughorifice 321 of said eachsecond fixing piece 32, and asecond holder 31 is defined between the twosecond fixing pieces 32 and is configured to support asecond holding plate 30. Furthermore, athird holding plate 23 is fixed between the twoparallel grinding wheels 22 and between the two supporting shelves 21. - Referring further to
FIGS. 3 to 5 , the threadedrod 45 is rotated inward to drive thefirst holder 41 to move outward, and said eachpost 44 moves downward along the two oppositeelongated orifices 422 of the twofirst fixing pieces 42 respectively, such that thefirst holder 41 is driven to move downward by said eachpost 44. In contrast, the threadedrod 45 is rotated outward to drive thefirst holder 41 to move inward, and said eachpost 44 moves upward along the two oppositeelongated orifices 422 of the twofirst fixing pieces 42 respectively, such that thefirst holder 41 is driven to move upward by said eachpost 44. - As shown in
FIGS. 6 to 10 , one of the two supports 11 has acolumn 51 extending outward and configured to support anabutting plate 50, wherein theabutting plate 50 has anangle controller 52 fixed on thecolumn 51, such that a depth of theabutting plate 50 in the secondwood planing zone 20 is adjusted. In addition, theangle controller 52 has adriving lever 54 and anarcuate slot 53, when thedriving lever 54 is released in thearcuate slot 53, a tilted angle of theabutting plate 50 is adjusted, and a position of theabutting plate 50 is adjusted by moving theangle controller 52. - As illustrated in
FIGS. 11 and 12 , acover 60 is mounted above thecolumn 51 of thebody 10, wherein afixer 61 is disposed on thecolumn 51, asuspension arm 62 is rotatably connected with thefixer 61, and alocker 63 is arranged on thesuspension arm 62 so as to lock thecover 60, such that thesuspension arm 62 drives thecover 60 to rotate along thefixer 61, and thecover 60 covers the two grinding wheels. - With reference to
FIGS. 13 to 16 , in another embodiment, a plurality oflockers 63 are arranged on thesuspension arm 62, andplural covers 60 are mounted above thecolumn 51 of thebody 10, wherein eachlocker 63 is configured to lock eachcover 60, and afixer 61 is disposed on thecolumn 51, hence at least one of theplural covers 60 covers or uncovers the twogrinding wheels 22 based on a size of a workpiece. - While the preferred embodiments of the invention have been set forth for the purpose of disclosure, modifications of the disclosed embodiments of the invention and other embodiments thereof may occur to those skilled in the art. Accordingly, the appended claims are intended to cover all embodiments which do not depart from the spirit and scope of the invention.
Claims (11)
1. A flat sanding structure comprising: a body including a first wood planing zone and a second wood planing zone;
the second wooding zone being formed between two tops of two supports fixed on two sides of the body respectively;
the second wood planing zone having two supporting shelves mounted on two inner walls of the two supports, respectively, and the second wood planing zone having two parallel grinding wheels arranged between the two supporting shelves, wherein each grinding wheel has a sanding belt rolled on a roller, a front end of each support is connected with each of two first fixing pieces, and a rear end of said each support is coupled with each of two second fixing pieces, a third holding plate is fixed between the two parallel grinding wheels and between the two supporting shelves;
wherein said each first fixing piece has a first through orifice formed proximate to a bottom thereof and has two elongated orifices defined adjacent to a top thereof, and a first connecting shaft is inserted into the first through orifice of said each fixing piece and has a threaded orifice arranged on a central position thereof, a first holder is defined between the two first fixing pieces, each of two posts is inserted into two opposite elongated orifices of the two first fixing pieces and is in connection with the first holder on which a first holding plate is fixed, wherein the first holder has a tab extending outwardly from a bottom of a front end thereof and has an elongated hole defined on the tab so as to accommodate a threaded rod which screws with the threaded orifice of the first connecting shaft;
wherein a second connecting shaft is inserted into a second through orifice of said each second fixing piece, and a second holder is defined between the two second fixing pieces and is configured to support a second holding plate; and
wherein one of the two supports has a column extending outward.

The flat sanding structure as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the threaded rod is rotated inward to drive the first holder to move outward, and said each post moves downward along the two opposite elongated orifices of the two first fixing pieces respectively, such that the first holder is driven to move downward by said each post.

The flat sanding structure as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the threaded rod is rotated outward to drive the first holder to move inward, and said each post moves upward along the two opposite elongated orifices of the two first fixing pieces respectively, such that the first holder is driven to move upward by said each post.
4. The flat sanding structure as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the column is configured to support an abutting plate, and the abutting plate has an angle controller fixed on the column, the angle controller has a driving lever and an arcuate slot.
5. The flat sanding structure as claimed in claim 4 , wherein a depth of the abutting plate in the second wood planing zone is adjusted by moving the angle controller on the column.
6. The flat sanding structure as claimed in claim 4 , wherein when the driving lever is released in the arcuate slot, a tilted angle of the abutting plate is adjusted.
7. The flat sanding structure as claimed in claim 4 , wherein and a position of the abutting plate is adjusted by moving the angle controller.
8. The flat sanding structure as claimed in claim 1 , wherein at least one cover is mounted above the column of the body, a fixer is disposed on the column, a suspension arm is rotatably connected with the fixer, and at least one locker is arranged on the suspension arm so as to lock the at least one cover.
9. The flat sanding structure as claimed in claim 8 , wherein the suspension arm drives the at least one cover to rotate along the fixer, and the at least one cover covers the two grinding wheels.
10. The flat sanding structure as claimed in claim 8 , wherein the at least one locker and the at least one cover are moved by the suspension arm.
11. The flat sanding structure as claimed in claim 8 , wherein a plurality of lockers are arranged on the suspension arm, plural covers are mounted above the column of the body, and each locker is configured to lock each cover.
