Description

    BACKGROUND OF THE PRESENT INVENTION
  • Field of Invention
  • The present invention relates to a field of entertainment, and more particularly to a billiards device and a using method thereof.
  • Description of Related Arts
  • Billiards is a popular game worldwide, which comprises a wide variety of games of skill generally played with a cue stick which is used to strike billiard balls, moving them around a cloth-covered billiards table bounded by rubber cushions. Many different styles and designs of billiards tables have been developed. Typically such a billiards table comprises a wooden frame and support legs supporting a playing surface covered with felt and surrounded by rails having a resilient inner edge to facilitate rebounding of the billiards balls in play.
  • There are three major subdivisions of billiards:
      • Carom billiards, referring to games played on tables without pockets, typically 10 feet in length, including balkline and straight rail, cushion caroms, three-cushion billiards, artistic billiards and four-ball;
      • Pool, covering numerous pocket billiards games generally played on six-pocket tables of 7-, 8-, or 9-foot length, including among others eight-ball (the world's most widely played cue sport), nine-ball (the dominant professional game), ten-ball, straight pool (the formerly dominant pro game), one-pocket, and bank pool; and
      • Snooker and English billiards, games played on a billiards table with six pockets called a snooker table (which has dimensions just under 12 ft by 6 ft), that are classified entirely separately from pool based on a separate historical development, as well as a separate culture and terminology that characterize their play.
  • Since 1893, regulated international professional competitions of billiards had occurred, and the game changed little. However, as time goes by, new types of billiards are desired for fresh experiences.
  • SUMMARY OF THE PRESENT INVENTION
  • An object of the present invention is to provide a billiards device suitable for a new type of billiards.
  • Another object of the present invention is to provide a using method of the billiards device, bringing fresh experiences.
  • Accordingly, in order to accomplish the above objects, the present invention provides a billiards device, comprising: a billiards table and a plurality of billiards balls;
      • wherein the billiards table comprises:
      • a frame supported by supporting legs;
      • a playing surface supported on the frame, which is rectangle and covered by a felt, wherein a line is drawn on the playing surface to split the playing surface into a first part and a second part which are equal to each other;
      • two end rails and two side rails affixed to and around the playing surface, wherein the end rails are placed at two ends of the playing surface in parallel, the side rails are placed at two sides of the playing surface in parallel, and the end rails are perpendicular to the side rails; and
      • four corner parts connecting the end rails and the side rails, wherein the corner parts are placed at four corners of the playing surface and surrounds the playing surface together with the end rails and the side rails;
      • wherein the billiards balls comprises white balls and black balls with equal amounts; the white balls are placed on the first part of the playing surface and the black balls are placed on the second part of the playing surface in equal forms;
      • wherein ten billiards holes are provided; specifically, four corner holes are drilled at the four corner parts, four side holes are drilled at quarter points of the side rails, and two end holes are drilled at center points of the end rails; inner diameters of the billiards holes are larger than outer diameters of the billiards balls;
      • wherein the corner holes and the side holes at the first part of the playing surface are white-marked, the corner holes and the side holes at the second part of the playing surface are black-marked, and the end holes are red-marked.
  • Preferably, the end rails and the side rails are made of a resilient material, in such a manner that the billiards balls rebound when hitting the end rails or the side rails.
  • Preferably, the playing surface is 10-14 ft long and 5-7 ft wide.
  • Preferably, the playing surface is twice as long as a width thereof.
  • Preferably, the billiards balls comprises six the white balls and six the black balls; and the billiards balls further comprises a red ball placing at a center of the line drawn on the playing surface.
  • Preferably, each of the billiards holes are connected to a bag for containing the billiards balls after falling into the billiards holes.
  • The present invention also provides a using method of the billiards device, comprising steps of:
  • 1) placing a plurality of white balls on a first part of a playing surface of the billiards device, and forming an array with the white balls; placing a plurality of black balls on a second part of the playing surface of the billiards device, and forming an equal array as the array formed by the white balls;
  • 2) placing a red ball at a center of a line drawn on the playing surface; and deciding a first player and a second player;
  • 3) hitting the white balls or the red ball with a cue stick by the first player for moving the white balls into white-marked holes or moving the red ball into a red-marked hole on the first part of the playing surface; returning the red ball to the center of the line after moving into the red-marked hole on the first part;
  • 4) changing to the second player if none of the white balls falls into the white-marked holes and meanwhile the red ball fails to fall into the red-marked hole in the first part of the playing surface;
  • 5) hitting the black balls or the red ball with the cue stick by the second player for moving the black balls into black-marked holes or driving the red ball into a red-marked hole on the second part of the playing surface; returning the red ball to the center of the line after moving into the red-marked hole on the second part;
  • 6) changing to the first player if none of the black balls falls into the black-marked holes and meanwhile the red ball fails to fall into the red-marked hole in the second part of the playing surface;
  • 7) repeating steps 3)-6) until no white balls or no black balls is on the playing surface; and
  • 8) deciding a winner, wherein when a number of the first player moving the red ball into the red-marked hole in the first part of the playing surface is more than a number of the second player moving the red ball into the red-marked hole in the second part of the playing surface, then the first player wins, and vice versa; if the numbers equal, then the player with less white balls or black balls remained wins.
